Geographical characteristics of China’s wetlands derived from remotely sensed data显示文摘In this paper, we report the first wetland mapping of the entire China using Landsat enhanced thematic mapper plus (ETM+) data. These data were obtained from the Global Land Cover Facility at the University of Maryland spanning from 1999 to 2002. A total of 597 scenes of Landsat images were georeferenced and mosaiced. Manual image interpretation of satellite images was aided with elevation data, soil data, land cover/land use data and Google Earth. The minimum mapping unit is 10 pixel × 10 pixel, equivalent to 9 ha. The aim of our first round of mapping was only targeted at the boundary delineation of any type of wetland except those wetlands that are under agricultural use (i.e., paddy fields), which has already been well mapped by others. Our interpretation results indicate that a total of 359478 km2 of wetlands are of non-agricultural use. Among our preliminarily mapped wetland, 339353 km2 are inland wetland, 2786 km2 are non-agricultural artificial wetland, and 17609 km2 are coastal wetland. Because low-tide is rarely captured in satellite images, an under-estimation of coastal wetland is inevitable. We conducted some statistics based on our mapped wetlands and compared them with those previously obtained from a number of sources including a land cover/land use map made with satellite images during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a marshland map developed in approximately the same period, survey data of coastal wetland in early 1980s, and area data for approximately 400 larger patches of marshland in China compiled in 1996. Because some inconsistencies exist in the guidelines of those different wetland surveys, difference in area is expected. Some further comparison indicates that the wetland distributions derived from the preliminary wetland map are reasonable and more objective than other sources. The mapping process also indicated that the method adopted by us was efficient and cost-effective. We also found that in order to ensure comparability of the wetland maps developed at different times, a set of standard guidelines on the wetland categories to be mapped, and the mapping methods to be used must be well conceived, developed and effectively employed. We carried out some initial geographical analysis on the distribution of wetlands.NIU ZhenGuo GONG Peng CHENG Xiao GUO JianHong WANG Lin HUANG HuaBing SHEN ShaoQing WU YunZhao WANG XiaoFeng WANG XianWei YING Qing LIANG Lu ZHANG LiNa WANG Lei YAO Qian YANG ZhenZhong GUO ZiQi DAI YongJiu 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,6:15
Absolute calibration of the Chang'E-1 IIM camera and its preliminary application显示文摘The interference imaging spectroradiometer (IIM) onboard the first lunar satellite of China 'Chang'E-1' can now provide approximately global high spectral and spatial resolution reflectance spectra of the Moon. It is the essential instrument with which to accomplish one of the four missions of the first lunar satellite of China. As the current data provided by the Lunar Exploration Program Center and National Astronomical Observatories (NAOC) are not reflectance and the sensor response is inhomogeneous in the line direction, users can not use the current data directly. Moreover, due to the narrow band range,IIM data cannot cover the absorption peak of the mafic minerals of the Moon completely, which limits its ability for identifying minerals. The main objective of this study is to describe the methods for absolute calibration, correction and acquiring the absorption center of minerals for IIM data. The results from our study show that in the space domain the sensor response decreases toward the left, and in the spectral domain the response of the longer bands is more inhomogeneous than that of the shorter bands. After the calibration and correction, the reflectance of IIM matches the earth-based telescopic spectra well, which suggests the possible use of the processed data in the geological research. A high correlation was found between the absorption center and the wavelength at which the first derivative equals 0,i.e.,the so-called Stagnation Point in the mathematical sense. In the end,we show a preliminary applied study of the two craters with diameter larger than 35 km using the calibrated data. The spectra of IIM data show that the lunar crust has compositional diversity within the km scale. Pure anorthosite may be found on the wall and floor of the Aristarchus crater with the map of absorption center, which indicates that anorthosite is ubiquitously present within the lunar crust. IIM,with its capacity to acquire lunar composition at the regional and global scale, will contribute to the research of lunar origin and evolution.WU YunZhao XU XiSheng XIE ZhiDong TANG ZeSheng 2009Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,12:11
Global absorption center map of the mafic minerals on the Moon as viewed by CE-1 IIM data显示文摘Determining the global distribution of minerals on the Moon has been an important goal of lunar science. Hyperspectral remote sensing is an important approach to acquiring minerals on the Moon on the global scale. The wavelength of the absorption band center is the key parameter for identifying minerals with reflectance spectra as well as remote sensing data. The global absorption center map of the mafic minerals of the Moon was produced for the first time with the Chang’E-1 IIM data. This map shows the global distribution of mafic minerals such as orthopyroxenes, clinopyroxenes, and olivine and even plagioclase feldspar of the Moon. The validation for some representative areas indicates that the global map is reliable and even more detailed than the results derived from Clementine-data. Moreover, our method is insensitive to the topography and viewing and illumination geometries. The global absorption band center map not only contributes to the lunar science research, but also has other implications to be further studied. Moreover, the preprocessing methods such as calibration and correction introduced in this study can be useful in other research with IIM data.WU YunZhao 1,4* , ZHANG Xia 2 , YAN BoKun 3 , GAN FuPing 3 , TANG ZeSheng 4 , XU AoAo 4 , ZHENG YongChun 5 & ZOU YongLiao 5 1 School of Geographic and Oceanographic Sciences, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210093, China 2 Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101, China 3 Institute for Remote Sensing Method, China Aero Geophysical Survey and Remote Sensing Center for Land and Resources, Beijing 100083, China 4 Collaborative Research Laboratory on Lunar and Planetary Exploration, Macao University of Science and Technology, Taipa, Macao, China 5 National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100012, China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,12:11
Roadmap for single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘In the near future,single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)is expected to expand the family of popular analytical tools for single-molecule characterization. We provide a roadmap for achieving single molecule SERS through different enhancement strategies for diverse applications. We introduce some characteristic features related to single-molecule SERS,such as Raman enhancement factor, intensity fluctuation, and data analysis. We then review recent strategies for enhancing the Raman signal intensities of single molecules, including electromagnetic enhancement, chemical enhancement, and resonance enhancement strategies. To demonstrate the utility of single-molecule SERS in practical applications,we present several examples of its use in various fields, including catalysis, imaging, and nanoelectronics. Finally,we specify current challenges in the development of single-molecule SERS and propose corresponding solutions.Yang Yu Ting-Hui Xiao Yunzhao Wu Wanjun Li Qing-Guang Zeng Li Long Zhi-Yuan Li 2020Advanced Photonics2020,2,1:7
Pore throat characteristics of tight sandstone of Yanchang Formation in eastern Gansu,Ordos Basin显示文摘An important factor to evaluate reservoir quality is the pore-throat size. However, the strong heterogeneity makes it difficult to characterize the pore-throat distribution in tight reservoirs. The field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM),high pressure mercury injection and rate-controlled mercury injection are used to investigate the pore-throat size distribution in tight sandstone reservoirs of Member 7 of the Yanchang Formation in eastern Gansu,Ordos Basin, and studies of the pore throat size controlling on physical property of the tight sandstone reservoirs are also carried out.The result shows that the pore type is mainly dominated by the residual intergranular pore, dissolution pore, micropore and a few micro-fractures;the high-pressure mercury injection experiment indicates that the pore-throat size ranges from 0.0148 μm to 40mm,the pore throat more than 1 mm is less;the ratecontrolled mercury injection experiment reveals that for samples with different physical properties, the pore radius mainly varies from 80 μm to 350 μm;the throat radius exhibits the strong heterogeneity, and is from 0.12 μm to 30μm;the pore-throat size can be effectively characterized by combination of high-pressure and rate-controlled mercury injections, and it varies from 0.0148 μm to 350 μm.The permeability is mainly controlled by the large pore throat(>R_(50))which accounts for a small proportion;in the tight sandstone with the permeability greater than 0.1 mD,the permeability is mainly controlled by the micropore and mesopore;in the tight sandstone with the permeability smaller than 0.1 mD,the permeability is mainly controlled by the nanopore and micropore;the proportion of small pore throat increases with reduction of permeability,it is important that the small pore throat influences the reservoir storage property though its effect on permeability are small.Hao Wu Chunlin Zhang Youliang Ji Rui'e Liu Shang Cao Sheng Chen Yunzhao Zhang Ye Wang Wei Du Gang Liu 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,1:7
The improvement of cross-calibration of IIM data and band selection for FeO inversion显示文摘Chang’E-1(CE-1)Interference Imaging Spectrometer(IIM)dataset suffers from the weak response in the near infrared(NIR)bands, which are the important wavelength for retrieving the minerals and elements of the Moon.In this paper, the cross-calibration was implemented to the IIM hyperspectral data for improving the weak response in NIR bands. The results show that the cross-calibrated IIM spectra were consistent to the Earth-based telescopic spectra, which suggests that the cross-calibration yields acceptable results. For further validating the influence of the cross-calibration on the FeO inversion and searching the optimal bands to retrieve lunar FeO contents, four band selection schemes were designed to retrieve FeO using the original and cross-calibrated IIM spectra.By comparing the distribution patterns and histograms of the IIM derived FeO contents with the Clementine derived FeO,the IIM 891 nm band after cross-calibration showed a higher accuracy in the FeO inversion, hence most useful for lunar FeO inversion.WANG Chao WU YunZhao SHI RunHe GAO Wei 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,11:4

Inversion of the asymmetry factor for desert areas of China显示文摘Deserts, which have high surface albedo and wide area, are important components of the earth system. It is very important for the research of surface radiation and energy balance to understand the anisotropic scattering of desert areas. The emergence and development of multi-angle remote sensing made possible the inversion of the anisotropic scattering of desert areas at the regional or global scale.Firstly, this paper explored the accuracy of the inversion of asymmetry factor using the Hapke model and the simulated single-and multi-phase MISR data.Based on the results, the asymmetry factor of representative surface of desert areas in northwestern China was retrieved. The values of the asymmetry factor retrieved from MISR data were compared with the values retrieved from the laboratory data. The results showed that the single-phase MISR data could be used for the inversion of asymmetry parameter of desert areas. The sign of the asymmetry parameter for the laboratory measurements was positive, which suggests that the surface of laboratory samples is forward scattering. The sign of the asymmetry parameter for MISR data was negative;that is,it is backscattering. The values of the asymmetry parameters retrieved from MISR data were related to the character of the land surface. At Loulan, where the surface was smoother than other sites, retrieved values exhibited the largest negative values of asymmetry factor, suggesting the strongest backscattering. The sand dune area of the Kumtag Desert, which has the greatest roughness, had only slightly negative asymmetry factor values. These findings indicated that at the sensor scale,a rough surface(e.g.,dunes) does not necessarily mean more backscattering than a smooth surface. This finding has significant implications for empirical methods(e.g.,using the normalized index of backward-scattered radiance minus forward-scattered radiance as an indicator of surface roughness),which should be used carefully for analyzing surface roughness from the remote sensing data.WU YunZhao LU HuaYu LIU Qiang 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,4:2

YL064 activates proteasomal-dependent degradation of c-Myc and synergistically enhances the anti-tumor activity of ABT-199 in diffuse large B cell lymphoma显示文摘Dear Editor,c-Myc is highly associated with poor prognosis and aggressive progression of diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL)and is thus a desirable drug target. Moreover, studies indicate that 5–15%of DLBCL patients harbor MYC and BCL-2 translocations, while 20–35%DLBCL patients simultaneously overexpress of c-Myc and BCL-2 proteins without gene rearrangements.1 These two types of DLBCL are referred as“double-hit”lymphoma(DHL)and“double-expressor”lymphoma(DEL),respectively.Both DHL and DEL lymphomas have inferior clinical outcomes and are refractory to R-CHOP or even hematopoietic stem cell transplant.2 Thus, targeting both c-Myc and BCL-2 is a promising strategy to treat high-risk DLBCLs.3 Although BCL-2 inhibitors are clinically available,c-Myc remains to be“undruggable”owing to its lack of kinase activity and intrinsically disordered structure.4 Thus, developing clinically applicable c-Myc inhibitor remains challenging.Huizhuang Shan Yang Cao Xinhua Xiao Meng Liu Yunzhao Wu Qi Zhu Hanzhang Xu Hu Lei Zhujun Yao Yingli Wu 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:1
Inversion of the Main Mineral Compositions and Subdivision of Tectonic Units on Lunar LQ-4 based on Chang'e Data显示文摘Spectra are sensitive in detecting main minerals on the lunar surface from visible light to infrared light. Since spectral characteristics of minerals are closely related to their compositions and the maturity level of soil on the Moon, studying the compositions and distribution of elements and minerals on the lunar surface can help to understand the evolution of the Moon through remote sensing technology. The correlation between the spectral characteristics of Chang'e-1 interference imaging spectrometry(IIM) reflectance images and the mineral contents of LSCC(Lunar Soil Characterization Consortium) lunar surface mineral samples was discussed and the spatial distributions of Fe O and Al_2O_3 contained in both pyroxene and plagioclase on LQ-4 were studied using the improved angle parameter method, MNF, and band ratio statistics. A comparison of the mapping results of the optical models by Lucey, Shkuractov and other researchers on Clementine and the gamma ray spectrometry data shows that the content error is within 0.6% for lunar mare areas and close to 1% for the highland areas. The tectonic framework on the lunar surface was also investigated. And based on integrated analysis of previous findings on topography of the lunar surface, Chang'e LAM, CCD and LOLA images and the gravity anomalies data(Clementine GLGM-2), the tectonic unit subdivision was established for LQ-4, the idea of subdividing the lunar tectonic units was proposed, and this will provide a good foundation for studying the lunar tectonic evolution.WANG Xiang CHEN Jianping XU Yanbo ZHENG Yongchun YAN Bokun WU Yunzhao 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,6:1

Parthenolide reveals an allosteric mode to inhibit the delSGylation activity of SARS-CoV-2 papain-like protease显示文摘The coronavirus papain-like protease(PLpro)of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is responsible for viral polypeptide cleavage and the deISGylation of interferon-stimulated gene 15(ISG15),which enable it to participate in virus replication and host innate immune pathways. Therefore,PLpro is considered an attractive antiviral drug target. Here,we show that parthenolide,a germacrane sesquiterpene lactone, has SARS-CoV-2 PLpro inhibitory activity.Parthenolide covalently binds to Cys-191 or Cys-194 of the PLpro protein, but not the Cys-111 at the PLpro catalytic site.Mutation of Cys-191 or Cys-194 reduces the activity of PLpro.Molecular docking studies show that parthenolide may also form hydrogen bonds with Lys-192,Thr-193,and Gln-231.Furthermore,parthenolide inhibits the deISGylation but not the deubiquitinating activity of PLpro in vitro. These results reveal that parthenolide inhibits PLpro activity by allosteric regulation.Zhihui Zou Huizhuang Shan Demeng Sun Li Xia Yulong Shi Jiahui Wan Aiwu Zhou Yunzhao Wu Hanzhang Xu Hu Lei Zhijian Xu Yingli Wu 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,8:0
Hsp90/C terminal Hsc70-interacting protein regulates the stability of Ikaros in acute myeloid leukemia cells显示文摘The stability of Ikaros family zinc finger protein 1(Ikaros),a critical hematopoietic transcription factor, can be regulated by cereblon(CRBN)ubiquitin ligase stimulated by immunomodulatory drugs in multiple myeloma. However, other stabilization mechanisms of Ikaros have yet to be elucidated. In this study,we show that the pharmacologic inhibition or knockdown of Hsp90 downregulates Ikaros in acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells.Proteasome inhibitor MG132 but not autophagy inhibitor chloroquine could suppress the Hsp90 inhibitor STA-9090-induced reduction of Ikaros, which is accompanied with the increased ubiquitination of Ikaros. Moreover,Ikaros interacts with E3 ubiquitin-ligase C terminal Hsc70 binding protein(CHIP),which mediates the STA-9090-induced ubiquitination of Ikaros. In addition, the knockdown of Ikaros effectively inhibits the proliferation of leukemia cells, but this phenomenon could be rescued by Ikaros overexpression.Collectively, our findings indicate that the interplay between HSP90 and CHIP regulates the stability of Ikaros in AML cells, which provides a novel strategy for AML treatment through targeting the HSP90/Ikaros/CHIP axis.Meng Liu Jin Jin Yanjie Ji Huizhuang Shan Zhihui Zou Yang Cao Li Yang Ligen Liu Li Zhou Hu Lei Yunzhao Wu Hanzhang Xu Yingli Wu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9:0
Cerebrospinal fluid used as culture medium prior to autologous olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation显示文摘BACKGROUND: Cerebrospinal fluid can be an inducer for neural stem cells in vitro, but few studies employ cerebrospinal fluid to culture olfactory ensheathing cells. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the growth of nasal mucosa olfactory ensheathing cells in normal cerebrospinal fluid, and to analyze the feasibility of cerebrospinal fluid for culturing olfactory ensheathing cells used for transplantation. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A completely randomized, block design study was performed at the Cell Laboratory, Wuxi Third People's Hospital, and Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases, China, in August 2008. MATERIALS: Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium/F12 (DMEM/F12) and fetal bovine serum (Gibco BRL, USA), mouse anti-rat P75 monoclonal antibody and rabbit anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein polyclonal anti body (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), mouse anti-rat myelin basic protein monoclonal antibody (Cymbus, UK), mouse anti-rat microtubule-associated protein-2 monoclonal antibody (Transduction Laboratories, USA), FITC conjugated rabbit anti-mouse monoclonal antibody (Boster, China), TRITC conjugated goat anti-rabbit monoclonal antibody (Sigma, USA) were used. METHODS: Nasal mucosa olfactory ensheathing cells were separately incubated in DMEM/F12, cerebrospinal fluid, and changing DMEM/F12 into cerebrospinal fluid. Adult female Sprague Dawley rat models of spinal hemisection were established. Nerve injury was repaired by transplantation of nasal mucosa olfactory ensheathing cells cultured in cerebrospinal fluid or DMEM/F12. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The proliferative ability of olfactory ensheathing cells cultured in cerebrospinal fluid was determined by a 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay. The morphology and purity of olfactory ensheathing cells were detected using immunohistochemistry. Animal behavior was evaluated by the Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan locomotor rating scale. Morphological repair was assessed by a horseradish peroxidase-tetramethylbenzidine retrograde tracer technique and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Changing from DMEM/F12 to cerebrospinal fluid did not change overall culture morphology and purity on day 14. These cells also contributed to myelinization and the conduction velocity of regenerated axons, and improved motor abilities of denervated muscle fibers in rats with spinal cord injury. The recovery of behavioral function and neuronal regeneration was similar in the two groups. CONCLUSION: Cerebrospinal fluid culture prior to autologous olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation is feasible for clinical use.Weijiang Wu Qing Lan Hua Lu Aihua Zhu Yunzhao Jiang Ge Chen Guozhen Hui 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,1:0
Chest-scale self-compensated epidermal electronics for standard 6-precordial-lead ECG显示文摘Six chest leads are the standardized clinical devices of diagnosing cardiac diseases.Emerging epidermal electronics technology shift the dangling wires and bulky devices to imperceptible wearing, achieving both comfortable experience and high-fidelity measuring.Extending small areas of current epidermal electronics to the chest scale requires eliminating interference from long epidermal interconnects and rendering the data acquisition(DAQ)portable.Herein,we developed a chest-scale epidermal electronic system(EES)for standard precordial-lead ECG and hydration monitoring, including the onlyμm-thick substrate-free epidermal sensing module and the soft wireless DAQ module. An electrical compensation strategy using double channels within the DAQ module and epidermal compensated branches(ECB)is proposed to eliminate unwanted signals from the long epidermal interconnects and to achieve the desired ECG.In this way,the EES works stably and precisely under different levels of exercise.Patients with sinus arrhythmias have been tested, demonstrating the prospect of EES in cardiac diseases.Lang Yin Youhua Wang Jian Zhan Yunzhao Bai Chao Hou Junfeng Wu Rong Huang Yuzhou Wang YongAn Huang 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
