3Identification of ExpIdentification of Expressed Resistance Gene Analogs from Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Expressed Sequence Tags显示文摘Low genetic diversity makes peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) very vulnerable to plant pathogens, causing severe yield loss and reduced seed quality. Several hundred partial genomic DNA sequences as nucleotide-binding-site leucine-rich repeat (NBS-LRR) resistance genes (R) have been identified, but a small portion with expressed transcripts has been found. We aimed to identify resistance gene analogs (RGAs) from peanut expressed sequence tags (ESTs) and to develop polymorphic markers. The protein sequences of 54 known R genes were used to identify homologs from peanut ESTs from public databases. A total of 1,053 ESTs corresponding to six different classes of known R genes were recovered, and assembled 156 contigs and 229 singletons as peanut-expressed RGAs. There were 69 that encoded for NBS-LRR proteins, 191 that encoded for protein kinases, 82 that encoded for LRR-PK/transmembrane proteins, 28 that encoded for Toxin reductases, 11 that encoded for LRR-domain containing proteins and four that encoded for TM-domain containing proteins. Twenty-eight simple sequence repeats (SSRs) were identified from 25 peanut expressed RGAs. One SSR polymorphic marker (RGA121) was identified. Two polymerase chain reaction-based markers (Ahsw-1 and Ahsw-2) developed from RGA013 were homologous to the Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV) resistance gene. All three markers were mapped on the same linkage group AhIV. 5Role of angiotensin converting enzyme and angiotensinogen gene polymorphisms in angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor-mediated antiproteinuric action in type 2 diabetic nephropathy patients显示文摘AIM To investigate the role of genetic variants of angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) and angiotensinogen(AGT) genes in the antiproteinuric efficacy of ACE inhibitor therapy in diabetic nephropathy(DN) patients.METHODS In the present study, 270 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with nephropathy were enrolled and treated with ACE inhibitor(ramipril) and followed at 6 mo for renal function and albumin excretion by estimating serum creatinine, end stage renal disease, and albumin/creatinine ratio(ACR) in urine. Genotyping of ACE I/D and AGT M235 T polymorphisms were performed by using primer specific polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and PCR-RFLP techniques, respectively. RESULTS Forty-eight percent of DN patients(responders) benefited with respect to proteinuria from ACE inhibitor therapy at 6 mo follow-up. A significant reduction in ACR was observed after 6 mo treatment with ACE inhibitor irrespective of whether DN patients were micro-albuminuric(≥ 30 and < 300 mg/g creatinine) or macro-albuminuric(≥ 300 mg/g creatinine) at the time of enrollment. However, macro-albuminuric patients(55%) showed better response to therapy. A reduction in urinary ACR was found independent of genotypes of ACE I/D and AGT M235 T polymorphisms although macro-albuminuric patients having TT genotype showed statistically insignificant increased response(72%). 8Combustion performance studies of aluminum and boron based composite solid propellants in sub-atmospheric pressure regimes显示文摘The aim of present study is to investigate the burning rate,ignition delay,and flame characteristics of ammonium perchlorate(AP)-hydroxyl terminated poly-butadiene(HTPB)[AP/HTPB]based composite propellants(CSP's)in sub-atmospheric pressure regimes(13 kPae100 kPa).Several fuels and catalyzed were used to evaluate their effects on the combustion characteristics of AP based propellants in sub-atmospheric pressure regimes.In fuels,aluminum(Al)and boron(B)were selected as metallic and non-metallic fuel respectively.While in catalyst,butyl ferrocene(B.F.)and ferric oxide(F.O.)were selected as liquid and solid catalyst respectively.Apart from these,other ingredients that were used are di-octyl adipate(DOA),toluene di-isocyanate(TDI),and glycerol.The article throws some light on the burning rate and ignition delay properties for these new classes of prepared propellant samples.At subatmospheric pressures,all propellants are susceptible to irregular burning with the ejection of soot's,fumes,and unburned particles.F.O.based catalyzed propellants can sustain its combustion up to the lowest pressure.Pratim Kumar Mayank Varshney Aniket Manash 2019Propulsion and Power Research2019,8,4:3
9创伤性寰枢椎滑脱伴移位型齿状突骨折:采用“关节重塑”技术实现后路完全复位显示文摘寰枢椎脱位(atlantocaxial dislocation,AAD)是在先天性和创伤性情况下,寰枢关节常见的一种不正常关系,寰枢椎滑脱(atlantoaxial spondyloptosis,AAS)是指寰椎侧块小关节面完全移位,两个关节面之间无接触,是寰枢椎不稳定的一种罕见表现,属于最严重的寰枢椎脱位之一。由于寰枢关节面交锁,传统的后路手术方式或单纯凭借颅骨牵引均无法使寰枢椎完全复位。“关节操作”技术最初由Goel等提出,通过术中C1~C2撑开及进行寰枢关节操作实现颅颈交界区的重新对位。但单独使用该技术并不能达到关节复位,因此需要联合关节重塑技术(通过在C1关节面前下方边缘及C2关节面钻孔以辅助骨刀插入,获得撑开及部分复位),使寰枢关节复位到正常的解剖位置。作者对1例创伤性AAS伴移位型齿状突骨折患儿采取单纯后路手术,通过“关节操作”和“关节重塑”技术实现完全复位,效果良好。kumar a varshney g singh pk 葛苏 马向阳 2018中国骨科临床与基础研究杂志2018,10,1:3
10Astrocytes protect dopaminergic neurons against aminochrome neurotoxicity显示文摘Astrocytes protect neurons by modulating neuronal function and survival.Astrocytes support neurons in several ways.They provide energy through the astrocyte-neuron lactate shuttle,protect neurons from excitotoxicity,and internalize neuronal lipid droplets to degrade fatty acids for neuronal metabolic and synaptic support,as well as by their high capacity for glutamate uptake and the conversion of glutamate to glutamine.A recent reported astrocyte system for protection of dopamine neurons against the neurotoxic products of dopamine,such as aminochrome and other o-quinones,were generated under neuromelanin synthesis by oxidizing dopamine catechol structure.Astrocytes secrete glutathione transferase M2-2 through exosomes that transport this enzyme into dopaminergic neurons to protect these neurons against aminochrome neurotoxicity.The role of this new astrocyte protective mechanism in Parkinson´s disease is discussed.Juan Segura-Aguilar Bengt Mannervik JoséInzunza Mukesh Varshney Ivan Nalvarte Patricia Muñoz 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,9:3
