| 2 | Interrelation between arterial inflammation in acute coronary syndrome and circadian variation显示文摘At present,the study into inflammatory markers has become a new tool which is most useful for establishing the prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome.The inflammatory substrate involved is acute coronary syndrome is extremely complex,with a large number of factors involved both in its activation and its modulation.It is known that C-reactive protein play a key role in the physiopathology of the atherosclerosis.Furthermore,scientific literature reports that the existence of a circadian rhythm in the triggering of cardiovascular accidents can suggest the implication of,or association with these physiological rhythms that show activity peaks at particular times of the day or night.Keeping in mind the potential association between inflammation and circadian rhythm,a better understanding of the kinetics of said markers could lead to improvements in their use in cardiovascular diseases.Considering the diversity of the diurnal variations in the intrinsic properties of the cardiovascular system,these should be kept in mind during the design of in vivo experimental studies.As such,the information available reinforces our opinion when suitably validating the biomarkers and the need to demon-strate their reliability,stability,and lack of variability and standardise the methodology of their measurement. | Alberto Dominguez-Rodriguez Maria Carrillo-Perez Tome Pedro Abreu-Gonzalez | 2011 | World Journal of Cardiology2011，3，2： | 5 |
| 3 | Burn injury induces histopathological changes and cellproliferation in liver of rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate effects of severe burn injury(BI) in rat liver through the histopathological and inflammatory markers analysis. METHODS: Forty-two male Wistar rats were distributed into two groups, control(C) and subjected to scald BI(SBI). The animals were euthanized one, four and 14 d post sham or 45% of the total body surface BI. Liver fragments were submitted to histopathological, morphoquantitative(hepatocyte area and cell density), ciclooxigenase-2(COX-2) immunoexpression, and gene expression [real-time polymerase chain reaction for tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α, inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS) and caspase-3] methods. RESULTS: Histopathological findings showed inflammatory process in all periods investigated and hepatocyte degeneration added to increased amount of connective tissue 14 d post injury. Hepatocyte area, the density of binucleated hepatocytes and density of sinusoidal cells of SBI groups were increased when compared with control. COX-2 immunoexpression was stronger in SBI groups. No differences were found in TNF-α, i NOS and caspase-3 gene expression. | 6 | Cavity optomechanics on a microfluidic resonator with water and viscous liquids显示文摘Currently,optical or mechanical resonances are commonly used in microfluidic research.However,optomechanical oscillations by light pressure were not shown with liquids.This is because replacing the surrounding air with water inherently increases the acoustical impedance and hence,the associated acoustical radiation losses.Here,we bridge between microfluidics and optomechanics by fabricating a hollow-bubble resonator with liquid inside and optically exciting vibrations with 100 MHz rates using only mW optical-input power.This constitutes the first time that any microfluidic system is optomechanically actuated.We further prove the feasibility of microfluidic optomechanics on liquids by demonstrating vibrations on organic fluids with viscous dissipation higher than blood viscosity while measuring density changes in the liquid via the vibration frequency shift.Our device will enable using cavity optomechanics for studying non-solid phases of matter,while light is easily coupled from the outer dry side of the capillary and fluid is provided using a standard syringe pump. | Kyu Hyun Kim Gaurav Bahl Wonsuk Lee Jing Liu Matthew Tomes Xudong Fan Tal Carmon | 2013 | Light(Science & Applications)2013，2，1： | 2 |
| 7 | PM_(2.5) chemical composition and health risks by inhalation near a chemical complex显示文摘Particulate matter(PM_(2.5))samples were collected in the vicinity of an industrial chemical pole and analysed for organic and elemental carbon(OC and EC),47 trace elements and around 150 organic constituents.On average,OC and EC accounted for 25.2% and 11.4% of the PM_(2.5) mass,respectively.Organic compounds comprised polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),alkylated PAHs,anhydrosugars,phenolics,aromatic ketones,glycerol derivatives,aliphatic alcohols,sterols,and carboxyl groups,including aromatic,carboxylic and dicarboxylic acids.Enrichment factors>100 were obtained for Pb,Cd,Zn,Cu,Sn,B,Se,Bi,Sb and Mo,showing the contribution of industrial emissions and nearby major roads.Principal component analysis revealed that vehicle,industrial and biomass burning emissions accounted for 66%,11% and 9%,respectively,of the total PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs.Some of the detected organic constituents are likely associated with plasticiser ingredients and thermal stabilisers used in the manufacture of PVC and other plastics in the industrial complex.Photooxidation products of both anthropogenic(e.g.,toluene)and biogenic(e.g.,isoprene and pinenes)precursors were also observed.It was estimated that biomass burning accounted for 13.8%of the PM_(2.5) concentrations and that secondary OC represented 37.6% of the total OC.The lifetime cancer risk from inhalation exposure to PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs was found to be negligible,but it exceeded the threshold of 10−6 for metal(loi)s,mainly due to Cr and As. | Celia Alves Margarita Evtyugina Estela Vicente Ana Vicente Ismael Casotti Rienda Ana Sanchez de la Campa Mario Tome Iola Duarte | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023，，2： | 2 |
