3Efficacy of catgut embedding in Baihui(GV20)and Feishu(BL13)and Pishu(BL20)on lung tissue,brain tissue and blood related indexes in rats with allergic rhinitis of lung deficiency type显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of acupoint catgut embedding for 3 weeks on lung tissue,blood immunoglobulin E(IgE)and interleutin-4(IL-4),brain tissue microglia x-42(OX-42)and toll-like receptor-2(TLR-2)in rats with allergic rhinitis of lung deficiency type.METHODS:Forty-five female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided for two times.The first time,they were randomly divided into model group and blank group(Group C)according to 2∶1,and the second time,the model group were randomly divided into model control group(Group B)and intervention treatment group(Group A)according to 1∶1.15 in each group.For Group A and Group B,the lung deficiency model was made by'sulfur–moxa fumigation',and then the allergic rhinitis model was established by'ovalbumin(OVA)sensitization'.Then catgut embedding was performed at acupoints in Group A and not in Group B.After 3 weeks,collect lung tissue samples for hematoxylin-eosin staining,then take blood to observe the concentration of IgE and IL-4,and finally take brain tissue to observe the results of OX-42 and TLR-2.RESULTS:IgE level(μg/m L)was(3.11±0.20)in the Group A,(4.19±0.44)in the Group B,and(2.29±0.30)in the Group C(all P<0.001).IL-4 level(pg/mL)was(14.2±0.7)in the Group A,(18.6±2.4)in the Group B,and(11.4±1.2)for the Group C(all P<0.001).The mean OD for OX-42 is(0.1728±0.0016)in the Group A,(0.1810±0.0046)in the Group B and(0.1674±0.0025)in the Group C(all P<0.001).CONCLUSION:Although 3 weeks of acupoint catgut embedding already showed obvious efficacy on rats with allergic rhinitis,the allergic reaction in the body still continued.To achieve further treatment,prolonging the catgut embedding time is necessary.HUANG Heyin WANG Yichen ZHANG Qinxiu WU Xiaojuan WANG Jiang Li Xiangyu PANG Rui FAN Li CAO Liu TANG Luo 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,5:1

7Discovery of pyrogallol thermal reaction products from a model process of roasting coffee beans as potentα-glucosidase inhibitors显示文摘The roasting process of pyrogallol,a polyphenol compound distributed in coffee beverages,significantly enhanced itsα-glucosidase inhibitory activity.In this study,a bioassay-guided isolation of the thermal reaction products of pyrogallol led to the identification of two potentα-glucosidase inhibitors,4-4′dimer of pyrogallol(4,4′-DP)and 4-5′dimer of pyrogallol(4,5′-DP).Theirα-glucosidase inhibitory activity was higher than that of pyrogallol,as evidenced by comparing the IC_(50)values(206.2±1.2μM for 4,4′-DP,187.6±2.6μM for 4,5′-DP,2660±60.1μM for pyrogallol).And the roasting products were more potentα-glucosidase inhibitors compared to acarbose(IC_(50)=695±12.7μM).Enzyme kinetics demonstrated that 4,4′-DP and 4,5′-DP inhibitedα-glucosidase in an uncompetitive and a non-competitive manner,respectively.Docking simulations revealed that the main interaction forces between these two compounds andα-glucosidase were hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic effect.These results suggested that a simple roasting process might increase theα-glucosidase inhibitory activity of pyrogallol-containing foods such as coffee beverages.Hui Wang Xiaoli Kang Shiwei Sun Yichen Yin Kun Jiang Guodong Tang Xinning Tang Wei Wang 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:0
8Three-dimensional Co_(2)V_(2)O_(7)·nH_(2)O superstructures assembled by nanosheets for electrochemical energy storage显示文摘Hierarchical superstructures assembled by nanosheets can effectively prevent aggregation of nanosheets and improve performance in energy storage.Therefore,we proposed a facile hydrothermal method to obtain three-dimensional(3D)superstructure assembled by nanosheets.We found that the ratio of Co^(2+)/HMTA affected the morphology of the samples,and the 3D hierarchical structures of are obtained while the ratio of Co^(2+)/HMTA is 12:25.The hierarchical structures with sufficient interior space preserves the original sheet-like dimensional components and results in sufficient active sites and efficient mass diffusion.Hence,the 3D Co_(2)V_(2)O_(7)·nH_(2)O hierarchical structure exhibits good rate capability and high stability while as electrode materials.Meanwhile,when power density is 745.13 W/kg,the assembled CVO-2//AC shows an energy density of 47.7 Wh/kg.The work displays a facile method for fabrication of 3D superstructure assembled by 2D nanosheets that can be applied in energy storage.Nan Li Xiaowen Guo Xinru Tang Yichen Xing Huan Pang 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1:0

10Efficacy of Zhumian Tang formula granules(助眠汤配方颗粒)combined with eszopiclone for the treatment of poor sleep quality:a multi-center,randomized controlled,superiority trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Zhumian Tang formula granules(助眠汤配方颗粒)combined with eszopiclone for treating poor sleep quality.METHODS:This multi-center,dynamic blockrandomized,parallel-group superiority clinical trial included 130 patients.The combined treatment group received Zhumian Tang formula granules combined with eszopiclone treatment,and the control group received eszopiclone treatment only.The group allocation ratio was 1∶1.The duration of treatment was 2 weeks.Participants were asked to complete questionnaires before treatment,after 1 week of the intervention,after 2 weeks of the intervention,and at the follow-up on week 3.The primary outcomes were the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score and the total effective rate of treatment.The secondary outcome was the rate of adverse effects.RESULTS:Compared with the eszopiclone treatment group,the PSQI score of the combined treatment group was significantly lower after 2 weeks of the intervention(6.98 vs 8.26,P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the mean PSQI score after 1 week of the intervention(9.89 vs 9.15,P=0.124).After the follow-up on week 3,the PSQI score of the combined treatment group remained significantly lower than that of the eszopiclone treatment group(6.12 vs 8.31,P<0.001).The total effective rates of treatment of the combined group and the eszopiclone group were 36.92%vs 35.38%(Z=0.033,P=0.855)after 1 week of the intervention,83.08%vs 58.46%(Z=9.519,P<0.05)after 2 weeks of the intervention,and 83.08%vs 61.54%(Z=7.530,P<0.05)and after the follow-up on week 3,respectively.There was no significant difference in the overall rate of adverse reactions between the combined and eszopiclone treatment groups(21.53%vs 31.8%,P=0.318).CONCLUSION:The combination of Zhumian Tang formula granules with eszopiclone was found to be safe and more effective in improving sleep quality than eszopiclone alone.Traditional Chinese medicine can enhance the effectiveness of Western medicine in the treatment of insomnia.WANG Yichen WU Shiyi WANG Zhengyan CHANG Wenling XIE Zhihao TANG Xing ZHAO Songmei ZHOU Jing CHEN Zehong WANG Chao() YANG Chunxia 2024Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2024,44,1:0

12Cobalt phthalocyanine-based conjugated polymer as efficient and exclusive electrocatalyst for CO_(2) reduction to ethanol显示文摘Electrocatalytic conversion of carbon dioxide to high value-added chemicals is a promising method for solving the energy crisis and global warming.Electrochemical active metal-containing conjugated polymers have been widely studied for heterogeneous carbon dioxide reduction.In the present contribution,we designed and synthesized a stable cobalt phthalocyanine-based conjugated polymer,named CoPPc-TFPPy-CP,and also explored its electro-catalytic application in carbon dioxide reduction to liquid products in an aqueous solution.In the catalyst,cobalt phthalocyanine acts as building blocks connected with 1,3,6,8-tetrakis(4-formyl phenyl)pyrenes via imine-linkages,leading to mesoporous formation polymers with the pore size centered at 4.1nm.And the central co-balt atoms shifted to a higher oxidation state after condensation.With these chemical and structural natures,the catalyst displayed a remarkable electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction performance with an ethanol Faradaic efficiency of 43.25%at-1.0V vs RHE.While at the same time,the electrochemical reduction process catalyzed by cobalt phthalocyanine produced only carbon monoxide and hydrogen.To the best of our knowledge,CoPPc-TFPPy-CP is the first example among organic polymers and metal-organic frameworks that produces ethanol from CO_(2) with a remarkable selectivity.Dong Jiang Ran Bu Wei Xia Yichen Hu Mengchen Zhou Enqing Gao Toru Asahi Yusuke Yamauchi Jing Tang 2023Materials Reports(Energy)2023,3,1:0
13Comparative Analysis of Epidemiological Features of HIV/AIDS Cases Aged Over and Under 50 Years Old—China,2010-2022显示文摘Introduction:Recent data indicate a year-on-year increase in the proportion of human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS)cases reported among individuals aged≥50 in China.This study compares the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/AIDS cases in populations above and below 50 years of age.By doing so,it seeks to scrutinize the current epidemiological landscape of HIV within these distinct age cohorts and suggest tailored interventions for each group.Methods:We utilized data from the Chinese HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Response Information Management System for our comparative analysis.Joinpoint regression analysis was employed to assess the trends in standardized detection rates.Results:In China,the number of newly reported HIV/AIDS cases in the 15-49 age group increased from 51,436 in 2010 to 55,397 in 2022,while it increased from 11,751 in 2010 to 51,856 in 2022 in the group aged≥50 years.Recent years have seen a greater proportion and detection rate of HIV/AIDS cases among the≥50 age demographic compared to the 15-49 age group.In 2022,significant statistical differences were observed between males and females in both age cohorts with respect to education,marital status,occupation,mode of transmission,location of diagnosis,and region.Conclusions:The observed trend of a rising proportion of HIV/AIDS cases in individuals aged 50 years and older necessitates heightened attention.It is imperative that we develop and implement interventions specifically designed to prevent and control the transmission of HIV within this demographic.Yushan Hou Yichen Jin Chang Cai Qianqian Qin Houlin Tang Fan Lyu 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,48:0

15An Origami-Like Sheath of a Honeybee Tongue for Fluid Viscosity Sensing显示文摘Mechanoreceptors play a vital role for animals to sense and monitor environmental parameters,like flow speed,tactile resistance,and pressure.The hairy-structured trichoid sensillum,a common type of mechanoreceptor in insects,is generally non-motile,embedded in a socket connected with cuticular substrate.However,we discover that the trichoid sensilla on the tongue of western bees(Apis mellifera L.)is rotatable and can be actively maneuvered by bees.The trichoid sensilla together with the socket base are mounted on the origami-like sheath of the tongue,and can rotate outwards along with the deformation of the tongue sheath.We illustrate that the rotation of the tongue sensilla hairs can locally generate shear force in the liquid to sense the viscosity,which may facilitate bees to adjust their feeding strategies.The viscosity sensitivity of the rotatable trichoid sensilla based on the origami-like mechanism,according to our mechanical model,is 13 times greater than that of the fixed sensilla.In addition,our finite element analysis shows that strain would concentrate on the trichoid sensilla base when rotating in the liquid,which may structurally enhance its perception sensitivity.This study reports a new mechanism of active mechanoreceptors and may have implications for origami mechanisms with correlative functional components,especially for micro-robotic systems used in underwater viscosity sensing.Caiying Liao Jiangkun Wei Yichen Lan Zhigang Wu Chengpei Tang Jianing Wu 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,6:0
16Effects of Second-Order Difference-Frequency Wave Forces on Floating Wind Turbine Under Survival Condition显示文摘In this paper, the effects of second-order difference-frequency wave forces on the global motion of an offshore wind turbine system with a large displacement under the survival condition are studied. In this case, the hydrodynamic force is the main force because the blades are feathered to reduce the lifting force. The first-order hydrodynamic forces are calculated by WADAM, while the second-order wave forces are calculated by a customized MATLAB module. Then the hydrodynamic coefficients are transferred to the wind turbine analytical code FAST. Through the comparisons of dynamic responses between the first-and second-order numerical models, it is found that the second-order wave forces significantly influence the motion of floating wind turbine under the survival condition.
