| 1 | A Review of Technical Advances,Barriers,and Solutions in the Power to Hydrogen(P2H)Roadmap显示文摘Power to hydrogen(P2H)provides a promising solution to the geographic mismatch between sources of renewable energy and the market,due to its technological maturity,flexibility,and the availability of technical and economic data from a range of active demonstration projects.In this review,we aim to provide an overview of the status of P2H,analyze its technical barriers and solutions,and propose potential opportunities for future research and industrial demonstrations.We specifically focus on the transport of hydrogen via natural gas pipeline networks and end-user purification.Strong evidence shows that an addition of about 10%hydrogen into natural gas pipelines has negligible effects on the pipelines and utilization appliances,and may therefore extend the asset value of the pipelines after natural gas is depleted.To obtain pure hydrogen from hydrogen-enriched natural gas(HENG)mixtures,end-user separation is inevitable,and can be achieved through membranes,adsorption,and other promising separation technologies.However,novel materials with high selectivity and capacity will be the key to the development of industrial processes,and an integrated membrane-adsorption process may be considered in order to produce high-purity hydrogen from HENG.It is also worth investigating the feasibility of electrochemical separation(hydrogen pumping)at a large scale and its energy analysis.Cryogenics may only be feasible when liquefied natural gas(LNG)is one of the major products.A range of other technological and operational barriers and opportunities,such as water availability,byproduct(oxygen)utilization,and environmental impacts,are also discussed.This review will advance readers’understanding of P2H and foster the development of the hydrogen economy. | Guoping Hu Chao Chen Hiep Thuan Lu Yue Wu Congmin Liu Lefu Tao Yuhan Men Guangli He Kevin Gang Li | 2020 | Engineering2020,6,12: | 7 |
| 2 | Pseudomonas aeruginosa:pathogenesis,virulence factors,antibiotic resistance,interaction with host,technology advances and emerging therapeutics显示文摘Pseudomonas aeruginosa(P.aeruginosa)is a Gram-negative opportunistic pathogen that infects patients with cystic fibrosis,burn wounds,immunodeficiency,chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder(COPD),cancer,and severe infection requiring ventilation,such as COVID-19.P.aeruginosa is also a widely-used model bacterium for all biological areas.In addition to continued,intense efforts in understanding bacterial pathogenesis of P.aeruginosa including virulence factors(LPS,quorum sensing,two-component systems,6 type secretion systems,outer membrane vesicles(OMVs),CRISPR-Cas and their regulation),rapid progress has been made in further studying host-pathogen interaction,particularly host immune networks involving autophagy,inflammasome,noncoding RNAs,cGAS,etc.Furthermore,numerous technologic advances,such as bioinformatics,metabolomics,scRNA-seq,nanoparticles,drug screening,and phage therapy,have been used to improve our understanding of P.aeruginosa pathogenesis and host defense.Nevertheless,much remains to be uncovered about interactions between P.aeruginosa and host immune responses,including mechanisms of drug resistance by known or unannotated bacterial virulence factors as well as mammalian cell signaling pathways.The widespread use of antibiotics and the slow development of effective antimicrobials present daunting challenges and necessitate new theoretical and practical platforms to screen and develop mechanism-tested novel drugs to treat intractable infections,especially those caused by multi-drug resistance strains.Benefited from has advancing in research tools and technology,dissecting this pathogen’s feature has entered into molecular and mechanistic details as well as dynamic and holistic views.Herein,we comprehensively review the progress and discuss the current status of P.aeruginosa biophysical traits,behaviors,virulence factors,invasive regulators,and host defense patterns against its infection,which point out new directions for future investigation and add to the design of novel and/or alternative therapeutics to combat this clinically significant pathogen. | Shugang Qin Wen Xiao Chuanmin Zhou Qinqin Pu Xin Deng Lefu Lan Haihua Liang Xiangrong Song Min Wu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,7: | 5 |
| 3 | Habitat influences on diversity of bacteria found on German cockroach in Beijing显示文摘Cockroaches are worldwide indoor pests carrying microorganisms of medical importance.German cockroaches(Blattella germanica) were sampled in five habitats(hospital,restaurant,offce home,and market) in Beijing,and the bacteria were isolated from their external surface and alimentary tract and identified using a Biolog identification system.Cockroach densities significantly differed among habitats(market > home > offce > restaurant > hospital).However,no significant differences in bacterial abundance carried by individual German cockroaches(of either sex) were found among habitats.The bacterial abundance in the gut was significantly higher than that on the surface.There were no significant differences in bacterial species richness observed among habitats,sex,carrying position or their interaction.Cluster analysis showed that cockroach densities and bacterial abundance found in the market differed significantly from the other four habitats.The bacterial diversity was not significantly reduced in sensitive facilities such as hospital and restaurant,even though pesticide and bactericide were more frequently applied there.The implications of these findings were discussed in this article. | FU Xue YE Lefu GE Feng | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2: | 5 |
| 4 | Synthesis and luminescence properties of apatite-type red-emitting Ba_(2)La_(8)(GeO_(4))_(6)O_(2):Eu^(3+)phosphors显示文摘A new kind of apatite-type red-emitting Ba_(2)La_(8)(GeO_(4))_(6)O_(2):Eu^(3+)phosphor was prepared by high temperature solid-state method.The Rietveld analysis based on the powder diffraction data shows that Ba_(2)La_(8)(GeO_(4))_(6)O_(2):Eu^(3+)phosphors possess a pure apatite phase without any impurity.The emission spectrum of Ba_(2)La_(8)(GeO_(4))_(6)O_(2):Eu^(3+)phosphor consists of two bands,an orange emission band from 500 to 600 nm and a red emission band from 600 to 680 nm.By varying the amount of the doped europium ions from 0.02 to 0.14 mol,it is found that the luminescent properties of this rare earth phosphor are the best when the concentration of europium ion is 0.08 mol.The optimum concentration is eventually proved to be 0.08 mol.The Eu^(3+)doping dependent luminescence quenching can be further ascribed to dipole-quadrupole interactions.The quantum yield of Ba_(2)La_(7.92)(GeO_(4))_(6)O_(2):0.08 Eu^(3+)is 37.23%.The CIE analysis confirms a reddish emission in the near ultraviolet(n-UV)excitation.All these above properties of the phosphor can help in contribution of promoting white light-emitting diode. | Kun Nie Xiaoxue Ma Panlong Lin Navnita Kumar Luoxin Wang Lefu Mei | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,11: | 5 |

| 6 | Ionic liquids: Efficient solvent and medium for the transformation of renewable lignocellulose显示文摘Carbon-enriched lignocelluloses are regarded as the perfect alternative for nonrenewable fossil fuel, and have a great potential to alleviate the increasing energy crisis and climate change. However, the tightly covalent structure and strong intra and in- ter-molecular hydrogen bonding in lignocellulose make it high recalcitrance to transformation due to the poor solubility in wa- ter or common organic solvents. Dissolution and transformation of lignocellulose and its constituents in ionic liquids have therefore attracted much attention recently due to the tunable physical-chemical properties. Here, ionic liquids with excellent dissolving capability for biomass and its ingredients were examined. The technologies for lignocellulose biorefining in the presence of ionic liquid solvents or catalysts were also summarized. | 8 | Which is the determinant for cellulose degradation in cooperative ionic liquid pairs: dissolution or catalysis?显示文摘Catalytic conversion of sustainable cellulose to the value-added chemicals and high quality biofuel has been recognized as a perfect approach for the alleviation of the dependence on the non-renewable fossil resources. Previously, we successfully designed and explored novel and efficient cooperative ionic liquid pairs for this renewable material, which has advantages of high reactor efficiency than current technologies because of the dissolution and in situ catalytic decomposition mechanism. Here, the determinant of this process is further studied by the intensive investigation on the relationship between the cellulose conversion and the properties of ionic liquid catalyst and solvent. Scanning electron microscope(SEM), thermogravimetric analysis(TG) and elemental analysis were used for the comparative characterization of raw cellulose and the residues. | 20 | Structure and luminescence properties of color-tunable phosphor Sr_(2)La_(3)(SiO_(4))_(3)F:Tb^(3+),Sm^(3+)显示文摘A series of single-phase and color-tunable phosphors Sr_(2)La_(3)(SiO_(4))_(3)F:0.15Tb^(3+),xSm^(3+)(SLSOF:0.15Tb^(3+),xSm^(3+)) was prepared using solid-state route.The X-ray diffraction(XRD) was used to characterize the phase of the as-prepared samples.The synthesized phosphors have apatite-type structure without other impurities.Sm^(3+) and Tb^(3+) ions substitute La^(3+) into the lattice and form a single-phase solid solution.The elements are evenly distributed in the sample according to the scanning electron microscopy(SEM) results.The crystal structure of the host phosphor was refined by the Rietveld method.The optical properties were studied in detail by investigation of the luminescence and diffuse spectra,fluorescence decay curves and energy transfer efficiency.The phosphor color can be changed from green(0.29,0.48) to yellow/orange and red(0.57,0.42) via adjusting the doping ratio of Sm^(3+).The SLSOF:0.15Tb^(3+),xSm^(3+)phosphors can emit typical multicolor light such as green,yellow,orange and red with gradually increasing Sm^(3+)doping concentration.All results indicate the occurrence of the energy transfer which results in the color-tunable properties of the phosphors. | Haikun Liu Kun Nie Yuanyuan Zhang Lefu Mei Dina V.Deyneko Xiaoxue Ma | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,9: | 1 |
