1Investigation into the flotation response of refractory molybdenum ore to depressant mixtures:A case study显示文摘In this paper, bulk flotation followed by separation was investigated to concentrate purified molybdenite product from Jinduicheng molybdenum ores(Shanxi province, China). The bench scale tests mainly focussed on separation of molybdenite from other sulfide minerals using the new type of depressants.The effect of each single depressant, including organic depressant-modified dextrin(MD), P-Nokes reagent(PN) and sodium trithiocarbonate(ST), and their mixtures on galena, chalcopyrite and other sulfide ores, was examined in turn by changing the concentrations used in cleaner flotation tests. Closed circuit experiments were carried out under the optimal condition and satisfying recovery and grade of molybdenite concentrate could be achieved(86.294% and 53.157%, respectively). 2Unveiling the mechanical response and accommodation mechanism of pre-rolled AZ31 magnesium alloy under high-speed impact loading显示文摘Split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)tests were conducted on pre-rolled AZ31 magnesium alloy at 150–350℃ with strain rates of 2150s-1,3430s^(-1) and 4160s-1.The mechanical response,microstructural evolution and accommodation mechanism of the pre-rolled AZ31 magnesium alloy under high-speed impact loading were investigated.The twin and shear band are prevailing at low temperature,and the coexistence of twins and recrystallized grains is the dominant microstructure at medium temperature,while at high temperature,dynamic recrystallization(DRX)is almost complete.The increment of temperature reduces the critical condition difference between twinning and DRX,and the recrystallized temperature decreases with increasing strain rate.The mechanical response is related to the competition among the shear band strengthen,the twin strengthen and the fine grain strengthen and determined by the prevailing grain structure.The fine grain strengthen could compensate soften caused by the temperature increase and the reduction of twin and shear band.During high-speed deformation,different twin variants,introduced by pre-rolling,induce different deformation mechanism to accommodate plastic deformation and are in favor for non-basal slip.At low temperature,the high-speed deformation is achieved by twinning,dislocation slip and the following deformation shear band at different deformation stages.At high temperature,the high-speed deformation is realized by twinning and dislocation slip of early deformation stage,transition shear band of medium deformation stage and DRX of final deformation stage.Xiao Liu Hui Yang Biwu Zhu Yuanzhi Wu Wenhui Liu Changping Tang 2022Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,4:2
3Tectonic Evolution of the Junggar Foreland Basin in the Late Carboniferous-Permian显示文摘A comprehensive study has been carried out to subdivide andcorrelate the Upper Carboniferous and Permian sedimentary successions in the Junggar basin based on outcrops and drilling and geophysical data. The study results, combined with geological analyses of the basin's periphery and the basement, as well as studies of the sedimentary rocks within the basin, the unconformities, tectonic geometry, kinematics and geodynamics, lead to the conclusion that the Junggar basin was characterized by the development of foreland basin systems during the Late Carboniferous and Per mian, During that period, three foreland basin systems were developed: (1) the northwest foreland basin system, which trended nearly north-south from Mahu to the Chepaizi Palaeo-mountain during its early stage of development and thus it was also referred to as the west foreland basin system; (2) the Karamaili foreland basin system in the east and (3) the Northern Tianshan foreland basin system in the south. These systems are different in size, development stage and time of formation. The first two are developed earlier than the third, but they are smaller in size. All the structures in the Junggar basin have resulted from the integration and superposition of structural elements in the above three systems. In general, the development of the Junggar basin can be divided into four stages. Stage I was marked by the creation and evolution of the marginal western foreland and the peripheral Karamaili foreland basin systems during the Late Carboniferous-early Early Permian (C3-Pja). Stage Ⅱ was characterized by the development of complicated foreland basin systems during the mid dle-late Early Permian (Pjb-Pf) when the three foreland basin systems took their shapes. Stage Ⅲ was the integration stage of peripheral foreland basin systems during the Middle Permian (P2) in which steady and slow tectonic subsidence prevailed. 4Unveiling the underlying mechanism of forming edge cracks upon high strain-rate rolling of magnesium alloy显示文摘In the current study,high strain-rate rolling(≥10 s-1) has been successfully employed to produce Mg-3 A1-1 Zn alloy sheets to a high reduction of 82% with a fine grain structure in a single pass.The underlying mechanism of forming primary and secondary edge cracks has been investigated.It is found that dynamic recrystallization(DRX) induced by subgrains tends to blunt cracks,while twinning-induced D RX is mainly observed around sharp crack tips.The motion of emitted dislocations from blunted cracks is inhibited by the DRX grain boundaries.This,on one hand,increases local work hardening,and on the other hand,causes stress concentration alo ng grain boundaries especially in the triple junctions leading to the formation of secondary cracks.Biwu Zhu Xiao Liu Chao Xie Jing Su Pengcheng Guo Changping Tang Wenhui Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15:2

8The flow behavior in as-extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy under impact loading显示文摘As-extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy samples were compressed at ambient temperature and strain rates of 1000-3000 s^(−1).The fracture surfaces of cracked samples,the evolution of microstructures and macrotextures were detected.The received flow curves exhibit an abnormal behavior at strain rates above 1500 s^(−1).A strain constitutive model based on strain equivalent principle was applied to analyze the flow curves of the damaged samples.The results indicate that the abnormal flow behaviors of the fractured samples are related to the increasing area of crack surfaces,and kinetic energy during dynamic crack nucleation and propagation.The initiation of the micro-crack also causes obvious flow softening in the cracked samples.The shapes of flow stresses of the intact samples are affected by twinning.©2018 Published by Elsevier B.V.on behalf of Chongqing University.Biwu Zhu Xiao Liu Chao Xie Wenhui Liu Changping Tang Liwei Lu 2018Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2018,6,2:1

11Computational investigation on hydrodynamic and sediment transport responses influenced by reclamation projects in the Meizhou Bay,China显示文摘Reclamation projects are the main method of coastal exploitation,and the hydrodynamic environmental effect,together with the sediment transport response of the reclamation project,is important to the project’s site selection and environmental protection.Herein,a 3D numerical model based on the finite volume community ocean model(FVCOM)is applied to simulate the changes in the Meizhou Bay’s hydrodynamic environment and sediment transport after a reclamation project.The reclamation project greatly alters the shape of the shoreline and narrows the bay,leading to a significant change in its hydrodynamic environment and sediment transport.After the project,the clockwise coastal residual current in the corner above the Meizhou Island gradually disappears.An obvious counter-clockwise coastal residual current emerges around the rectangular corner.The tidal prism decreases by 0.65×10^9 and 0.44×10^9 m^3 in the spring and neap tides,respectively.The residence time presents a major increase.These changes lead to the weakening of the water exchange capacity and the reduction of the self-purification capacity of the bay.Currents in the tidal channel weaken,whilst currents in the horizontal channel strengthen.The strength and scope of particle trajectories around the horizontal channel and the Meizhou Island enhance.The suspended sediment concentration(SSC)increases in the majority of the Meizhou Bay but decreases in the lateral bay.The eastern corner of Z2 shows a tendency to erode.The western region of the Meizhou Island,the upper portion of the rectangular corner and the western corner of Z4 show a tendency to deposit.The reclamation project increases the maximum storm surges by 0.06 m and decreases the maximum significant wave heights by 0.09 m.Gefei Deng Yongming Shen Changping Li Jun Tang 2020Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,3:1

13Ball Milling Synthesis and Property of Nd_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_3 Manganites显示文摘Strontium doped perovskite-type Nd0.7Sr0.3MnO3 ceramics were synthesized completely by high-energy ball milling raw oxides of Nd2O3, SrCO3 and MnO2. The optimal ball milling time and mass ratio of milling balls to raw materials are 4 h and 10:1, respectively. The grain size of as-milled Nd0.7Sr0.3MnO3 ceramics ranges from 51 to 93 nm, and the fine particles contain two phases of crystalline phase and amorphous phase.
