1An atomic force microscopy study of coal nanopore structure显示文摘Coal nanopore structure is an important factor in understanding the storage and migration of absorbed gas in coal. A new method for studying coal nanopore structures is proposed. This idea is based on the nano-level resolution of atomic force microscopy, which can be employed to observe the structural features of coal nanopores clearly, conduct quantitative three-dimensional measurements and obtain structural parameters. Analysis results show that coal nanopores are mainly metamorphic pores and intermolecular pores. The metamorphic pores are commonly rounded and elliptical, increasing quantitatively with the coalification degree. The forms of intermolecular pores change markedly. The average pore size of low-rank coal is bigger than high-rank coal, and the number of intermolecular pores decreases as the coal rank increases. Section analysis effectively characterizes the coal pore microstructure, bearing analysis is a vital approach to measure microporosity, and grain analysis can be employed to study the pore size distribution. 2Detection of water in petroleum inclusions and its implications显示文摘FTIR spectra of inclusions sampled from fault-zone reservoirs of the northwestern Junggar Basin show that water, with different abundances, does exist in petroleum inclusions. It is thus implied that petroleum inclusions can seldom form without water. Different inclusions hosted in one single grain, and formed in one oil charging phase, have a largely varied ratio of water to oil and slightly changed CH3/CH2 ratio. 3Causes and Changes of Drought in China:Research Progress and Prospects显示文摘Drought is one of the most serious and extensive natural hazards in the world.Subject to monsoon climate variability,China is particularly influenced by drought hazards,especially meteorological drought.Based on a comprehensive understanding of the current status of international drought research,this paper systematically reviews the history and achievements of drought research in China since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,from four main perspectives:characteristics and spatiotemporal distribution of historical and recent drought events,drought formation mechanism and change trend,drought hazard risk,and the particular flash drought.The progress and problems of drought research in China are analyzed and future prospects are proposed,with emphasis on the multi-factor synergetic effect for drought formation;the effect of land-atmosphere interaction;identification,monitoring,and prediction of flash drought;categorization of drought and characteristics among various types of drought;the agricultural drought development;drought response to climate warming;and assessment of drought hazard risks.It is suggested that strengthening scientific experimental research on drought in China is imperative.The present review is conducive to strategic planning of drought research and application,and may facilitate further development of drought research in China.Qiang ZHANG Yubi YAO Yaohui LI Jianping HUANG Zhuguo MA Zhilan WANG Suping WANG Ying WANG Yu ZHANG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:8
4Discovery of low-mature hydrocarbon in manganese nodules and ooze from the Central Pacific deep sea floor显示文摘Extracts from manganese nodules and ooze from the Central Pacific deep sea floor were analyzed using the chromatogram-mass spectrum, and it was found that most of the biomarker molecules are of the low-mature type (some have characteristics of mature): the ratio of 'A'/C is high between 11.4%-19.75%; CPI is 1.22-1.23; C31-22S/ (22S+22R) hopane is 0.59-0.60, Tm/Ts is 0.99-1.99; pa moretane/(αβ+βα) hopane is 0.12-0.14; C29 sterane 20S/(20S+20R) is 0.35-0.41; ββ/(ββ+αα) is 0.38-0.45; arene TA(I)/TA(I+Ⅱ) is 0.16-0.21; methyl-phenanthrene index (MPI1) is 0.35-0.67. According to the geological settings of the sampling area and its organic geochemical characteristics, it is considered that the hydrothermal activities on the ocean floor facilitate the decomposition of organic matter in the sediment, which leads to the generation and migration of hydrocarbon into manganese nodules and ooze. 5Method for pests detecting in stored grain based on spectral residual saliency edge detection显示文摘Pests detecting is an important research subject in grain storage field.In the past decades,many edge detection methods have been applied to the edge detection of stored grain pests.Although some of them can realize the stored grain pests detecting,precision and robustness are not good enough.Spectral residual(SR)saliency edge detection defines the logarithmic spectrumof image as novelty part of the image information.The remaining spectrumis converted to the airspace to obtain edge detection results.SR algorithm is completely based on frequency domain processing.It not only can effectively simplify the target detection algorithm,but also can improve the effectiveness of target recognition.The experimental results show that the edge results of stored grain pests detected by SR method are effective and stable.Yao Qin Yanli Wu Qifu Wang Suping Yu 2019Grain & Oil Science and Technology2019,2,2:5
6Climate Reconstruction based on Pollen Analysis in Inner Mongolia, North China from 51.9 to 30.6 kaBP显示文摘The palynomorph assemblage of lake sediments younger than 51.9 kaBP from Wulagai Gobi in Inner Mongolia was analyzed to reconstruct the vegetation and climate.From 51.9 to 30.6kaBP,the vegetation was arid to semi-arid grassland with only slight changes.According to the palynomorphs,trees and shrubs were very rare.The large number and diversity of algae indicate the presence of a lake.Quantitative climatic conditions were reconstructed using the Best Analogues Method.The results indicate that the annual mean temperature was higher than that at present.The combination of temperature and annual precipitation suggests a change in the climate from cool dry to warm dry and then cool humid.Our results show that the annual precipitation values were mostly higher than that at present but were lower than 400 mm.It infers that the study area was already within the arid to semi-arid regions but with a stronger influence of the summer monsoon during 51.9to 30.6 kaBP than at present.With slight differences mainly in time scale,the changing trend of the annual temperature curve is consistent with the other climatic records from Antarctica,Greenland,Hulu Cave(East China),and the Tibetan Plateau during the last glacial period.From 30.6 kaBP to present,very few palynomorphs were detected in the samples.Hence,no information about the vegetation and climate could be extracted.Combined with other studies during Late Pleistocene,we presume that the reason for the lack of pollen during this period was caused by an abrupt temperature fall after 30.6 kaBP or that the lacustrine conditions were unsuitable for pollen deposition.It was probably incurred by the oxidation on land prior to deposition.But for those samples only with algae,it might be caused by the fact that algae could finish their life history in a very short time in a seasonal lake.LI Suping David K.FERGUSON WANG Yong LI Jinfeng YAO Jianxin 2013Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,5:4

17Responses of properties in the plasma sheet and at the geosynchronous orbit to interplanetary shock显示文摘On July 22, 2004, the WIND spacecraft detected a typical interplanetary shock. There was sustaining weak southward magnetic field in the preshock region and the southward field was suddenly enhanced across the shock front (i.e., southward turning). When the shock impinged on the magnetosphere, the magnetospheric plasma convection was abruptly enhanced in the central plasma sheet, which was directly observed by both the TC-1 and Cluster spacecraft located in different regions. Simultaneously, the Cluster spacecraft observed that the dawn-to-dusk electric field was abruptly enhanced. The variations of the magnetic field observed by TC-1, Cluster, GOES-10 and GOES-12 that were distributed in different regions in the plasma sheet and at the geosynchronous orbit are obviously distinct. TC-1 observations showed that the magnetic intensity kept almost unchanged and the elevation angle decreased, but the Cluster spacecraft, which was also in the plasma sheet and was further from the equator, observed that the magnetic field was obviously enhanced. Simultaneously, GOES-12 located near the midnight observed that the magnetic intensity sharply increased and the elevation angle decreased, but GOES-10 located in the dawn side observed that the magnetic field was merely compressed with its three components all sharply increasing. Furthermore, the energetic proton and electron fluxes at nearly all channels observed by five LANL satellites located at different magnetic local times (MLTs) all showed impulsive enhancements due to the compression of the shock. The responses of the energetic particles were much evident on the dayside than those on the nightside. Especially the responses near the midnight were rather weak. In this paper, the possible reasonable physical explanation to above observations is also discussed. 18Status of Stratigraphy Research in China显示文摘Scientific research and productive practice for earth history are inseparable from the accurate stratigraphic framework and time framework. Establishing the globally unified, precise and reliable chronostratigraphic series and geological time series is the major goal of the International Commission on Stratigraphy(ICS). Under the leadership of the ICS, the countries around the world have carried out research on the Global Standard Stratotype-section and Points(GSSPs) for the boundaries of chronostratigraphic systems. In the current International Chronostratigraphic Chart(ICC), 65 GSSPs have been erected in the Phanerozoic Eonothem, and one has yet been erected in the Precambrian Eonothem. Based on the progress of research on stratigraphy especially that from its subcommissions, the ICS is constantly revising the ICC, and will publish a new International Stratigraphic Guide in 2020. After continual efforts and broad international cooperation of Chinese stratigraphers, 10 GSSPs within the Phanerozoic Eonothem have been approved and ratified to erect in China by the ICS and IUGS. To establish the standards for stratigraphic division and correlation of China, with the support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China Geological Survey, Chinese stratigraphers have carried out research on the establishment of Stages in China. A total of 102 stages have been defined in the 'Regional Chronostratigraphic Chart of China(geologic time)', in which 59 stages were studied in depth. In 2014, the 'Stratigraphic Chart of China' was compiled, with the essential contents as follows: the correlation between international chronostratigraphy and regional chronostratigraphy of China(geologic time), the distributive status of lithostratigraphy, the characteristics of geological ages, the biostratigraphic sequence, the magnetostratigraphy, the geological events and eustatic sea-level change during every geological stage. The 'Stratigraphical Guide of China and its Explanation(2014)' was also published. Chinese stratigraphers have paid much attention to stratigraphic research in south China, northeast China, north China and northwest China and they have made great achievements in special research on stratigraphy, based on the 1:1000000, 1:250000, 1:200000 and 1:50000 regional geological survey projects. Manifold new stratigraphic units were discovered and established by the regional geological surveys, which are helpful to improve the regional chronostratigraphic series of China. On the strength of the investigation in coastal and offshore areas, the status of marine strata in China has been expounded. According to the developing situation of international stratigraphy and the characteristics of Chinese stratigraphic work, the contrast relation between regional stratigraphic units of China and GSSPs will be established in the future, which will improve the application value of GSSPs and the standard of regional stratigraphic division and correlation. In addition, the study of stratigraphy of the Precambrian, terrestrial basins and orogenic belts will be strengthened, the Stratigraphic Chart of China will be improved, the typical stratigraphic sections in China will be protected and the applied study of stratigraphy in the fields of oil and gas, solid minerals, etc. will be promoted. 19Studies on kinetics of reactions between phycobiliproteins and hydroxyl radicals by a pulse radiolytic technique显示文摘Scavenging of hydroxyl radical (·OH) by phycobiliproteins (C-phycocyanin, Allophyco- cyanin and R-phycoerythrin) was studied by competitive kinetics methods. Hydroxyl radicals were generated from pulse radiolysis of aqueous systems saturated with nitrous oxide (N2O). 20Characterizing the maturity of highly evolved organic matter based on aromatic hydrocarbons and optimization with pyrobitumen reflectance and Raman spectral parameters显示文摘Maturity evaluation of highly evolved organic matter is an important problem in oil and gas geochemistry,because conventional organic geochemical proxies are not applicable due to hydrocarbon generation and expulsion.In this study,we investigated the pyrobitumen in the reservoirs of the Sinian Dengying Formation in the Sichuan Basin,China.We focused on aromatic hydrocarbon biomarkers,and the calibration and application of aromatic maturity proxies using pyrobitumen reflectance and Raman spectral parameters.Our results show that only the thiophene compounds are effective maturity indicators,such as MDR(4-/1-MDBT),MDR′(4-MDBT/(1-MDBT+4-MDBT)),MDR1(1-MDBT/DBT),4,6-/(1,4+1,6)-DMDBT,(2,6+3,6)-/(1,4+1,6)-DMDBT,and[2,1]BNT/([2,1]BNT+[1,2]BNT),as these are largely independent of the optical anisotropy of pyrobitumen.The condensation and incorporation of thiophene compounds can lead to an increase in the reflectance of pyrobitumen,which means the thiophene compound parameters are positively or negatively correlated with pyrobitumen reflectance.New potential maturity parameters were proposed,including DMDBTs/MDBTs,TeMDBTs/(DBT+MDBTs+DMDBTs+TMDBTs+TeMDBTs),1-MDBT/MDBTs,and[2,1]BNT/BNTs.This method and these parameters are universally applicable to maturity characterization,especially in rocks that lack vitrinite,contain strongly anisotropic organic matter,and have high contents of thiophene compounds.Zhaoxi ZUO Jian CAO Wenxuan HU Chunhua SHI Xiaolin WANG Suping YAO Bing LUO 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,12:0
