| 1 | Biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles using ginger(Zingiber officinale)extract and their antibacterial properties against aquatic pathogens显示文摘With the development of aquaculture, there is an urgent demand for an alternative antibacterial agent to reduce the drug resistance and environmental pollution caused by the abuse of antibiotics. Recently, silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs) have been viewed as a novel type of antimicrobial agents due to their unique advantages. In this study,Ag NPs were biosynthesized with the ginger rhizomes extract. The biosynthesized Ag NPs were characterised by UV–visible spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Furthermore, the antimicrobial activities of the Ag NPs were fully analyzed against six typical aquatic pathogens. The results indicated that the components in ginger extract could function as the chemical reductant to synthesize Ag NPs. Moreover, compared with the Ag NPs synthesized by chemical methods, the biosynthesized Ag NPs were smaller, and had higher stability and antibacterial activity. | 2 | Reproductive tissue-specific translatome of a rice thermo-sensitive genic male sterile line显示文摘Translational regulation,especially tissue-or cell type-specific gene regulation,plays essential roles in plant growth and development.Thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS)lines have been widely used for hybrid breeding in rice(Oryza sativa).However,little is known about translational regulation during reproductive stage in TGMS rice.Here,we use translating ribosome affinity purification(TRAP)combined with RNA sequencing to investigate the reproductive tissue-specific translatome of TGMS rice expressing FLAG-tagged ribosomal protein L18(RPL18)from the germline-specific promoter MEIOSIS ARRESTED AT LEPTOTENE1(MEL1).Differentially expressed genes at the transcriptional and translational levels are enriched in pollen and anther-related formation and development processes.These contain a number of genes reported to be involved in tapetum programmed cell death(PCD)and lipid metabolism during pollen development and anther dehiscence in rice,including several encoding transcription factors and key enzymes,as well as several long non-coding RNAs(lnc RNAs)that potentially affect tapetum and pollenrelated genes in male sterility.This study represents the comprehensive reproductive tissue-specific characterization of the translatome in TGMS rice.These results contribute to our understanding of the molecular basis of sterility in TGMS rice and will facilitate further genetic manipulation of TGMS rice in two-line breeding systems. | Wei Liu Jing Sun Ji Li Chunyan Liu Fuyan Si Bin Yan Zhen Wang Xianwei Song Yuanzhu Yang Yuxian Zhu Xiaofeng Cao | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,7: | 1 |

| 6 | Spatial chaos-based image encryption design显示文摘In recent years, the chaos based cryptographic algorithms have suggested some new and efficient ways to develop secure image encryption techniques, but the drawbacks of small key space and weak security in one-dimensional chaotic cryptosystems are obvious. In this paper, permutation and sub- stitution methods are incorporated to present a stronger image encryption algorithm. Spatial chaotic maps are used to realize the position permutation, and to confuse the relationship between the ci- pher-image and the plain-image. | 7 | MANF brakes TLR4 signaling by competitively binding S100A8 with S100A9 to regulate macrophage phenotypes in hepatic fibrosis显示文摘The mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor(MANF)has been recently identified as a neurotrophic factor,but its role in hepatic fibrosis is unknown.Here,we found that MANF was upregulated in the fibrotic liver tissues of the patients with chronic liver diseases and of mice treated with CCl4.MANF deficiency in either hepatocytes or hepatic mono-macrophages,particularly in hepatic mono-macrophages,clearly exacerbated hepatic fibrosis.Myeloid-specific MANF knockout increased the population of hepatic Ly6C^(high)macrophages and promoted HSCs activation.Furthermore,MANF-sufficient macrophages(from WT mice)transfusion ameliorated CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in myeloid cells-specific MANF knockout(MKO)mice.Mechanistically,MANF interacted with S100A8 to competitively block S100A8/A9 heterodimer formation and inhibited S100A8/A9-mediated TLR4-NF-κB signal activation.Pharmacologically,systemic administration of recombinant human MANF significantly alleviated CCl_(4)-induced hepatic fibrosis in both WT and hepatocytes-specific MANF knockout(HKO)mice.This study reveals a mechanism by which MANF targets S100A8/A9-TLR4 as a“brake”on the upstream of NF-κB pathway,which exerts an impact on macrophage differentiation and shed light on hepatic fibrosis treatment. | Chao Hou Dong Wang Mingxia Zhao Petek Ballar Xinru Zhang Qiong Mei Wei Wang Xiang Li Qiang Sheng Jun Liu Chuansheng Wei Yujun Shen Yi Yang Peng Wang Juntang Shao Sa Xu Fuyan Wang Yang Sun Yuxian Shen | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10: | 0 |
