| 1 | High Risk Factors of Pancreatic Carcinoma显示文摘Over the past decades, cancer has become one of the toughest challenges for health professionals. The epidemiologists are increasingly directing their research efforts on various malignant tumor worldwide. Of note, incidence of cancers is on the rise more quickly in developed countries. Indeed, great endeavors have to be made in the control of the life-threatening disease. As we know it, pancreatic cancer(PC) is a malignant disease with the worst prognosis. While little is known about the etiology of the PC and measures to prevent the condition, so far, a number of risk factors have been identified. Genetic factors, pre-malignant lesions, predisposing diseases and exogenous factors have been found to be linked to PC. Genetic susceptibility was observed in 10% of PC cases, including inherited PC syndromes and familial PC. However, in the remaining 90%, their PC might be caused by genetic factors in combination with environmental factors. Nonetheless, the exact mechanism of the two kinds of factors, endogenous and exogenous, working together to cause PC remains poorly understood. The fact that most pancreatic neoplasms are diagnosed at an incurable stage of the disease highlights the need to identify risk factors and to understand their contribution to carcinogenesis. | 2 | Plasma depletions lasting into daytime during the recovery phase of a geomagnetic storm in May 2017:Analysis and simulation of GPS total electron content observations显示文摘This paper reports that plasma density depletions appearing at middle latitudes near sunrise survived until afternoon on 29 May 2017 during the recovery phase of a geomagnetic storm.By analyzing GPS data collected in Japan,we investigate temporal variations in the horizontal two-dimensional distribution of total electron content(TEC)during the geomagnetic storm.The SYM-H index reached-142 n T around 08 UT on 28 May 2017.TEC depletions extending up to approximately 38°N along the meridional direction appeared over Japan around 05 LT(LT=UT+9 hours)on 29 May 2017,when TEC rapidly increased at sunrise due to the solar extreme ultraviolet(EUV)radiation.The TEC depletions appeared sequentially over Japan for approximately 8 hours in sunlit conditions.At 06 LT on 29 May,when the plasma depletions first appeared over Japan,the background TEC was enhanced to approximately 17 TECU,and then decreased to approximately 80%of the TEC typical of magnetically quiet conditions.We conclude that this temporal variation of background plasma density in the ionosphere was responsible for the persistence of these plasma depletions for so long in daytime.By using the Naval Research Laboratory:Sami2 is Another Model of the Ionosphere(SAMI2),we have evaluated how plasma production and ambipolar diffusion along the magnetic field may affect the rate of plasma depletion disappearance.Simulation shows that the plasma density increases at the time of plasma depletion appearance;subsequent decreases in the plasma density appear to be responsible for the long-lasting persistence of plasma depletions during daytime.The plasma density depletion in the top side ionosphere is not filled by the plasma generated by the solar EUV productions because plasma production occurs mainly at the bottom side of the ionosphere. | Yuichi Otsuka Atsuki Shinbori Takuya Sori Takuya Tsugawa Michi Nishioka Joseph D.Huba | 2021 | Earth and Planetary Physics2021，5，5： | 2 |

| 6 | Effects of drinking water supplementation with Lactobacillus reuteri,and a mixture of reuterin and microcin J25 on the growth performance,caecal microbiota and selected metabolites of broiler chickens显示文摘Background:Since the overuse of antibiotics in animal production has led to a selection of antibiotic-resistant pathogens that affect humans and animals as well.Scientists are therefore searching for novel natural alternatives to antibiotics.In this study Lactobacillus reuteri and a combination of reuterin and microcin J25(RJ)were evaluated as promoters of growth and modulators of the cecal microbiota and metabolite profiles in broiler chickens.Oneday-old Cobb 500 male broilers were distributed to 8 treatments:negative control(without antibiotic),positive control(bacitracin),three concentrations of RJ and three doses of L.reuteri plus glycerol.The birds(2176,34 per pen,8 pens per treatment)were reared for 35 d.Results:The body weight of the bacitracin and 5 mmol/L reuterin combined with 0.08μmol/L microcin J25(10RJ)treatment group was significantly higher than that of the negative control group(P<0.05).L.reuteri had no significant effect on broiler growth.MiSeq high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA showed clustering of cecal microbial operational taxonomic unit diversity according to treatment.The influence of bacitracin and 10RJ on bacterial community overall structure was similar.They promoted Ruminococcaceae,Lachnospiraceae and Lactobacillaceae,increased the relative abundance of Faecalibacterium and decreased the abundance of Bacteroides and Alistipes,while the negative control condition favored Bacteroidaceae and Rikenellaceae.Furthermore,10RJ increased the concentration of short-chain fatty acid in the cecum and changed the metabolome overall.Conclusions:These overall suggest that 10RJ can promote a host-friendly gut environment by changing the cecal microbiome and metabolome.This combination of natural antimicrobial agents in the drinking water had a positive effect on broiler growth and may be suitable as an alternative to antibiotic growth promoters. | Liya Zhang Laila Ben Said Nadège Hervé Séverine Zirah Moussa Sory Diarra Ismail Fliss | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022，13，4： | 1 |
