| 6 | View-invariant Gait Authentication Based on Silhouette Contours Analysis and View Estimation显示文摘In this paper, we propose a novel view-invariant gait authentication method based on silhouette contours analysis and view estimation. The approach extracts Lucas-Kanade based gait flow image and head and shoulder mean shape(LKGFI-HSMS)of a human by using the Lucas-Kanade s method and procrustes shape analysis(PSA). LKGFI-HSMS can preserve the dynamic and static features of a gait sequence. The view between a person and a camera is identified for selecting the target s gait feature to overcome view variations. The similarity scores of LKGFI and HSMS are calculated. The product rule combines the two similarity scores to further improve the discrimination power of extracted features. | 13 | Evaluation of Farmland Drainage Water Quality by Fuzzy–Gray Combination Method显示文摘The complex relationships between indicators and water conditions cause fuzzy and gray uncertainties in evaluation of water quality. Compared to conventional single-factor evaluation methods, the combination evaluation method can consider these two uncertainties to produce more objective and reasonable evaluation results. In this paper, we propose a combination evaluation method with two main parts:(1) the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and gray correlation analysis as submodels with which to consider the fuzzy and gray uncertainties and(2) the establishment of a combination model based on minimum bias squares. In addition, using this method, we evaluate the water quality of a ditch in a typical rice–wheat system of Yixing city in the Taihu Lake Basin during three rainfall events. The results show that the ditch water quality is not good and we found the chemical oxygen demand to be the key indicator that affects water quality most significantly. | 14 | Genome-wide high-resolution mapping of mitotic DNA synthesis sites and common fragile sites by direct sequencing显示文摘Common fragile sites(CFSs)are genomic loci prone to the formation of breaks or gaps on metaphase chromosomes.They are hotspots for chromosome rearrangements and structural variations,which have been extensively implicated in carcinogenesis,aging,and other pathological processes.Although many CFSs were identified decades ago,a consensus is still lacking for why they are particularly unstable and sensitive to replication perturbations.This is in part due to the lack of high-resolution mapping data for the vast majority of the CFSs,which has hindered mechanistic interrogations.Here,we seek to map human CFSs with high resolution on a genome-wide scale by sequencing the sites of mitotic DNA synthesis(MiDASeq)that are specific for CFSs.We generated a nucleotide-resolution atlas of MiDAS sites(MDSs)that covered most of the known CFSs,and comprehensively analyzed their sequence characteristics and genomic features.Our data on MDSs tallied well with long-standing hypotheses to explain CFS fragility while highlighting the contributions of late replication timing and large transcription units.Notably,the MDSs also encompassed most of the recurrent double-strand break clusters previously identified in mouse neural stem/progenitor cells,thus bridging evolutionarily conserved break points across species.Moreover,MiDAseq provides an important resource that can stimulate future research on CFSs to further unravel the mechanisms and biological relevance underlying these labile genomic regions. | Fang Ji Hongwei Liao Sheng Pan Liujian Ouyang Fang Jia Zaiyang Fu Fengjiao Zhang Xinwei Geng Xinming Wang Tingting Li Shuangying Liu Madiha Zahra Syeda Haixia Chen Wen Li Zhihua Chen Huahao Shen Songmin Ying | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,11: | 1 |

| 18 | Dual-Driven Hemostats Featured with Puncturing Erythrocytes for Severe Bleeding in Complex Wounds显示文摘Achieving rapid hemostasis in complex and deep wounds with secluded hemorrhagic sites is still a challenge because of the difficulty in delivering hemostats to these sites.In this study,a Janus particle,SEC-Fe@CaT with dual-driven forces,bubble-driving,and magnetic field–(MF–)mediated driving,was prepared via in situ loading of Fe_(3)O_(4) on a sunflower sporopollenin exine capsule(SEC),and followed by growth of flower-shaped CaCO3 clusters.The bubble-driving forces enabled SEC-Fe@CaT to self-diffuse in the blood to eliminate agglomeration,and the MF-mediated driving force facilitated the SEC-Fe@CaT countercurrent against blood to access deep bleeding sites in the wounds.During the movement in blood flow,the meteor hammer-like SEC from SEC-Fe@CaT can puncture red blood cells(RBCs)to release procoagulants,thus promoting activation of platelet and rapid hemostasis.Animal tests suggested that SEC-Fe@CaT stopped bleeding in as short as 30 and 45 s in femoral artery and liver hemorrhage models,respectively.In contrast,the similar commercial product Celox™required approximately 70 s to stop the bleeding in both bleeding modes.This study demonstrates a new hemostat platform for rapid hemostasis in deep and complex wounds.It was the first attempt integrating geometric structure of sunflower pollen with dual-driven movement in hemostasis. | Haoyu Qiu Guangqian Lan Weiwei Ding Xinyu Wang Wenyi Wang Dahua Shou Fei Lu Enling Hu Kun Yu Songmin Shang Ruiqi Xie | 2022 | Research2022,,4: | 0 |
| 19 | A prodrug nanoplatform via esterification of STING agonist and IDO inhibitor for synergistic cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy has made significant progress in the last few decades,revolutionizing oncology.However,low patient response rates and potential immune-related adverse events continue to be major clinical challenges.Cancer nanomedicine,by virtue of its regulated delivery and modular flexibility,has shown the potential to strengthen antitumor immune responses and sensitize tumors to immunotherapy.In this study,we developed tumor microenvironment(TME)responsive nanomedicine to achieve specific and localized amplification of the immune response in tumor tissue in a safe and effective manner,while simultaneously reducing immune-related side effects.We synthesized the TME responsive prodrug by coupling MSA-2,a stimulator of interferon genes(STING)agonist,and NLG-919,an indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase(IDO)inhibitor.The prodrug was assembled into nanoparticles to enhance the solubility and bioavailability.By synthesizing a TME responsive prodrug,we aim to explore the therapeutic efficacy of combined regimen(STING agonist and IDO inhibitor)for cancer,and reduce the unwanted side effects of STING agonism on normal tissues.Free prodrug and nanoparticles were characterized by mass spectrometry,dynamic light scattering(DLS),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Following that,we investigated the tumor accumulation,anti-tumor activity,and toxicity in vitro and in vivo.Prodrug nanoparticles demonstrated the ability to inhibit the tumor growth and activate antitumor immune response by modulating immune cells populations in tumor microenvironment.The TME responsive nanomedicine provided an effective tool for precise targeting,promoting antitumor immunity,and efficient tumor growth inhibition with safety.Outcomes of this study may have implications for future clinical trials. | Madiha Zahra Syeda Tu Hong Min Zhang Yanfei Han Xiaoling Zhu Songmin Ying Longguang Tang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 0 |
