1Stratigraphy of the Triassic-Jurassic Boundary Successions of the Southern Margin of the Junggar Basin,Northwestern China显示文摘The Triassic-Jurassic(Tr-J) boundary marks a major extinction event,which(~200 Ma) resulted in global extinctions of fauna and flora both in the marine and terrestrial realms.There prevail great challenges in determining the exact location of the terrestrial Tr-J boundary,because of endemism of taxa and the scarcity of fossils in terrestrial settings leading to difficulties in linking marine and terrestrial sedimentary successions.Investigation based on palynology and bivalves has been carried out over a 1113 m thick section,which is subdivided into 132 beds,along the Haojiagou valley on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin of the northern Xinjiang,northwestern China.The terrestrial Lower Jurassic is conformably resting on the Upper Triassic strata.The Upper Triassic covers the Huangshanjie Formation overlaid by the Haojiagou Formation,while the Lower Jurassic comprises the Badaowan Formation followed by the Sangonghe Formation.Fifty six pollen and spore taxa and one algal taxon were identified from the sediments.Based on the key-species and abundance of spores and pollen,three zones were erected:the Late Triassic(Rhaetian) Aratrisporites-Alisporites Assemblage,the Early Jurassic(Hettangian) Perinopollenites-Pinuspollenites Assemblage,and the Sinemurian Perinopollenites-Cycadopites Assemblage.The Tr-J boundary is placed between bed 44 and 45 coincident with the boundary between the Haojiagou and Badaowan formations.Beds with Ferganoconcha(?),Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha bivalve assemblages are recognized.The Ferganoconcha(?) bed is limited to the upper Haojiagou Formation, Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha assemblages are present in the middle and upper members of the Badaowan Formation.The sedimentary succession is interpreted as terrestrial with two mainly lake deposit intervals within Haojiagou and Badaowan formations,yielding fresh water algae and bivalves.However,the presence of brackish water algae Tasmanites and the marine-littoral facies bivalve Waagenoperna from the Badaowan Formation indicate that the Junggar Basin was influenced by sea water caused by transgressions from the northern Tethys,during the Sinemurian.SHA Jingeng Vivi VAJDA PAN Yanhong Linda LARSSON YAO Xiaogang ZHANG Xiaolin WANG Yaqiong CHENG Xiansheng JIANG Baoyu DENG Shenghui CHEN Siwei PENG Bo 2011Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,2:7
2New Dopa-AIE Compound Used as Fluorescence Sensor Material: Specificity and Quantification for Cu(Ⅱ)显示文摘As a paramagnetic metal ion, Cu(Ⅱ) is challenging to be detected by conventional fluorescence sensor becauseof its unselective paramagnetic quenching effects on common fluorophores. By combining catechol with tetra-phenylethene, a typical aggregation-induced emission (AIE) moiety, we have successfully synthesized a new kindof catechol, the dopa-AIE compound. Due to the properties of AlE core, the catechol has the "turn on" mechanismas a fluorescence chemosensor. Specifically, the new catechol has the unique detection selectivity on Cu(Ⅱ) in solu-tion. The fluorescence intensity has the maximum value when the molar ratio of the catechol to Cu(Ⅱ) is 1 : 1. Be-fore and after this point, the fluorescence intensity shows a linear relationship with the copper ion concentration, in-creasing or decreasing. 3Sieving carbons promise practical anodes with extensible low-potential plateaus for sodium batteries显示文摘Non-graphitic carbons are promising anode candidates for sodium-ion batteries,while their variable and complicated microstructure severely limits the rational design of high-energy carbon anodes that could accelerate the commercialization of sodium-ion batteries,as is the case for graphite in lithium-ion batteries.Here,we propose sieving carbons,featuring highly tunable nanopores with tightened pore entrances,as high-energy anodes with extensible and reversible low-potential plateaus(<0.1 V).It is shown that the tightened pore entrance blocks the formation of the solid electrolyte interphase inside the nanopores and enables sodium clustering to produce the plateau.Theoretical and spectroscopic studies also show that creating a larger area of sodiophilic pore surface leads to an almost linearly increased number of sodium clusters,and controlling the pore body diameter guarantees the reversibility of sodium cluster formation,producing a sieving carbon anode with a record-high plateau capacity of 400 mAh g.More excitingly,this approach to preparing sieving carbons has the potential to be scalable for modifying different commercial porous carbons.Qi Li Xiangsi Liu Ying Tao Jianxing Huang Jun Zhang Chunpeng Yang Yibo Zhang Siwei Zhang Yiran Jia Qiaowei Lin Yuxuan Xiang Jun Cheng Wei Lv Feiyu Kang Yong Yang Quan-Hong Yang 2022National Science Review2022,9,8:3
4Effect of Deposition Temperature on Dynamics and Mechanism of Deposition for Si-B-C Ceramic from BCl_3/SiCH_3Cl_3/H_2 Precursor显示文摘The deposition rate, phase, chemical composition and microstructure of deposits were determined from 950 to 1100℃. With increasing temperature, the deposition rate increases, and the morphology changes from smooth to coarse, meanwhile, the concentration of silicon increases while that of boron decreases. The deposition process is controlled by chemical reactions, and the activation energy is 271 kJ/mol. At relatively lower temperature (below 1000℃), the deposition process is dominated by formation of B4C. While at higher temperature (above 1000℃), it is governed by formation of SiC. 15Towards quantitative determination of atomic structures of amorphous materials in three dimensions显示文摘Amorphous materials such as glass,polymer and amorphous alloy have broad applications ranging from daily life to extreme conditions due to their unique properties in elasticity,strength and electrical resistivity.A better understanding of atomic structure of amorphous materials will provide invaluable information for their further engineering and applications.However,experimentally determining the three-dimensional(3D)atomic structure of amorphous materials has been a long-standing problem.Due to the disordered atomic arrangement,amorphous materials do not have any translational and rotational symmetry at long-range scale.Conventional characterization methods,such as the scattering and the microscopy imaging,can only provide the statistic structural information which is averaged over the macroscopic region.The knowledge of the 3D atomic structure of amorphous materials is limited.Recently atomic resolution electron tomography(AET)has proven an increasingly powerful tool for atomic scale structural characterization without any crystalline assumptions,which opens a door to determine the 3D structure of various amorphous materials.In this review,we summarize the state-of-art characterization methods for the exploration of atomic structures of amorphous materials in the past few decades,including X-ray/neutron diffraction,nano-beam and angstrom-beam electron diffraction,fluctuation electron microscopy,high-resolution scanning/transmission electron microscopy,and atom probe tomography.From experimental data and theoretical descriptions,3D structures of various amorphous materials have been built up.Particularly,we introduce the principles and recent progress of AET,and highlight the most recent groundbreaking feat accomplished by AET,i.e.,the first experimental determination of all 3D atomic positions in a multi-component glass-forming alloy and the 3D atomic packing in amorphous solids.We also discuss the new opportunities and challenges for characterizing the chemical and structural defects in amorphous materials.Zhiheng Xie Yao Zhang Siwei Huang Zezhou Li Qi Cheng Jihan Zhou 2023National Science Open2023,2,3:0
