1Potential use of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) endophytic fungi as seed treatment agents against root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita显示文摘Seed treatment with endophytic fungi has been regarded as an effective method for plant parasitic nematode control.Endophytic fungi from cucumber seedlings were isolated and screened for their potential to be used as seed treatment agents against Meloidogyne incognita.Among the 294 isolates screened,23 significantly reduced galls formed by M.incognita in greenhouse test.The 10 most effective isolates were Fusarium(5),Trichoderma(1),Chaetomium(1),Acremonium(1),Paecilomyces(1),and Phyllosticta(1) .Their control efficacies were repeatedly tested and their colonizations as well as in vitro activity against M.incognita were studied.They reduced the number of galls by 24.0%-58.4%in the first screening and 15.6%-44.3%in the repeated test,respectively.Phyllosticta Ph511 and Chaetomium Ch1001 had high colonizations on both the roots and the aboveground parts of cucumber seedlings.Fusarium isolates had colonization preference on the roots,their root colonizations ranging from 20.1%to 47.3%of the total root area.Trichoderma Tr882,Paecilomyces Pa972,and Acremonium Ac985 had low colonizations on both the roots and the aboveground parts.Acremonium Ac985,Chaetomium Ch1001,Paecilomyces Pa972,and Phyllosticta Ph511 produced compounds affecting motility of the second stage juveniles of M.incognita.Based on these results,Chae-tomium Ch1001 was considered to have the highest potential as a seed treatment agent for M.incognita biocontrol.Xiao-ning YAN Richard A. 5七株黄瓜内生真菌对南方根结线虫二龄幼虫的不同作用显示文摘本文研究了7株黄瓜内生真菌对南方根结线虫Meloidogyne incognita的不同作用方式。结果表明,枝顶孢Acremonium sp.菌株Ac985、毛壳菌Chaetomium sp.菌株Ch1001和拟青霉Paecilomyces sp.菌株Pa972的PDB培养滤液对南方根结线虫J2具有致死作用,48h暴露后致死率分别达到100%、98.5%和100%;叶点霉Phyllosticta sp.菌株Ph511培养滤液对J2具有击倒作用,但击倒的虫体在清水中能恢复活性。木霉Trichoderma sp.菌株Tr882和菌株Ac985、Ch1001的培养滤液对J2的活动有趋避作用。镰刀菌Fusarium spp.菌株Fu234、Fu654和菌株Pa972、Ch1001、Ph511的菌丝可以穿透J2体壁并消化虫体。Ch1001、Fu654、Ph511三菌株孢子悬浮液处理黄瓜种子后,能诱导黄瓜萌发的主根对J2从其根尖伸长区穿透的抗性。鄢小宁 Sikora R. 10Number of COVID-19 cases required in a population to detect SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater in the province of Alberta, Canada:Sensitivity assessment显示文摘With a unique and large size of testing results of 1,842 samples collected from 12 wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) for 14 months through from low to high prevalence of COVID-19,the sensitivity of RT-qPCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater that correspond to the communities was computed by using Probit analysis.This study determined the number of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population required to detect SARS-CoV-2RNA in wastewater at defined probabilities and provided an evidence-based framework of wastewater-based epidemiology surveillance (WBE).Input data were positive and negative test results of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater samples and the corresponding new COVID-19 case rates per 100,000 population served by each WWTP.The analyses determined that RT-qPCR-based SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection threshold at 50%,80%and 99%probability required a median of 8 (range:4-19),18 (9-43),and 38 (17-97) of new COVID-19 cases/100,000,respectively.Namely,the positive detection rate at 50%,80%and 99%probability were 0.01%,0.02%,and 0.04%averagely for new cases in the population.This study improves understanding of the performance of WBE SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection using the large datasets and prolonged study period.Estimated COVID-19 burden at a community level that would result in a positive detection of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater is critical to support WBE application as a supplementary warning/monitoring system for COVID-19 prevention and control.Qiaozhi Li Bonita E.Lee Tiejun Gao Yuanyuan Qiu Erik Ellehoj Jiaao Yu Mathew Diggle Graham Tipples Rasha Maal-Bared Deena Hinshaw Christopher Sikora Nicholas J.Ashbolt James Talbot Steve E.Hrudey Xiaoli Pang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3:2

14Numerical assessment of the influence of former mining activities and plasticity of rock mass on deformations of terrain surface显示文摘This paper presents the results of numerical simulations carried out to confirm the influence of former mining activities on deformation of the mining terrain.The assessment of deformation changes was carried out with the use of FLAC3 D program based on the finite difference method.Numerical calculations were carried out for the example of actual mining operations in seams 703/1-2 and 707/2 of‘‘Marcel'Coal Mine.Taking into account the influence of the model’s plastic features and the so-called activation of a higher occurring seam in conducted simulations enabled obtaining a very good description of the measured subsidence.Based on the results one may state that numerical model can be used to assess the influence of former mining activities and the direction of conducted exploitation on deformations of the mining terrain.These factors are not recognized by geometric-integral theories commonly used for predicting the influence of mining operations on the surface.The results presented in this paper confirm that the applied method of simulating the phenomenon of reactivation of post-mining goafs is correct.PawełSikora Marek Wesołowski 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,2:2
