1A New Species of the Asian Toad Genus Megophrys sensu lato(Amphibia: Anura: Megophryidae) from Guizhou Province, China显示文摘We describe a new species of the genus Megophrys sensu lato from Guizhou Province, China. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial DNA and nuclear DNA sequences all strongly supported the new species as an independent lineage in Megophrys(Panophrys) clade. The new species is distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological characteristics:(1) small body size with SVL < 38.8 mm in male and SVL < 42.3 mm in female;(2) vomerine teeth absent;(3) tongue not notched behind;(4) a small horn-like tubercle at the edge of each upper eyelid;(5) tympanum distinctly visible, rounded;(6) two metacarpal tubercles in hand;(7) relative finger lengths: II < I < V < III;(8) toes with rudimentary webbing at bases;(9) heels overlapping when thighs are positioned at right angles to the body;(10) tibiotarsal articulation reaching the level between tympanum to eye when leg stretched forward;(11) an internal single subgular vocal sac in male;(12) in breeding male, the nuptial pads with black nuptial spines on the dorsal bases of the first and second fingers.Shize LI Ning XU Jing LIU Jianping JIANG Gang WEI Bin WANG 2018Asian Herpetological Research2018,9,4:10

6Fault-Propagate Pattern Based DFA on PRESENT and PRINTcipher显示文摘This article proposes an enhanced differential fault analysis(DFA) method named as fault-propagation pattern-based DFA(FPP-DFA).The main idea of FPP-DFA is using the FPP of the ciphertext difference to predict the fault location and the fault-propagation path.It shows that FPP-DFA is very effective on SPN structure block ciphers using bitwise permutation,which is applied to two block ciphers.The first is PRESENT with the substitution permutation sequence.With the fault model of injecting one nibble fault into the r-2nd round,on average 8 and 16 faults can reduce the key search space of PRESENT-80/128 to 214.7 and 221.1,respectively.The second is PRINTcipher with the permutation substitution sequence.For the first time,it shows that although the permutation of PRINTcipher is secret key dependent,FPP-DFA still works well on it.With the fault model of injecting one nibble fault into the r-2nd round,12 and 24 effective faults can reduce the key search space of PRINTcipher-48/96 to 213.7 and 222.8,respectively.ZHAO Xinjie GUO Shize WANG Tao ZHANG Fan SHI Zhijie 2012Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2012,17,6:2

10Ultrasound-driven fabrication of high-entropy alloy nanocatalysts promoted by alcoholic ionic liquids显示文摘High-entropy alloy nanoparticles(HEA-NPs)are highly underutilized in heterogeneous catalysis due to the absence of a reliable,sustainable,and facile synthetic method.Herein,we report a facile synthesis of HEA nanocatalysts realized via an ultrasounddriven wet chemistry method promoted by alcoholic ionic liquids(AILs).Owing to the intrinsic reducing ability of the hydroxyl group,AILs were synthesized and utilized as environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional reducing agents and volatile organic solvents in the synthetic process.Under high-intensity ultrasound irradiation,Au^(3+),Pd^(2+),Pt^(2+),Rh^(3+),and Ru^(3+)ions were coreduced and transformed into single-phase HEA(AuPdPtRhRu)nanocrystals without calcination.Characterization results reveal that the as-synthesized nanocrystals are composed of elements of Au,Pd,Pt,Rh,and Ru as expected.Compared to the monometallic counterparts such as Pd-NPs,the carbon-supported HEA nanocatalysts show superior catalytic performance for selective hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanone in terms of yield and selectivity.Our synthetic strategy provides an improved and facile methodology for the sustainable synthesis of multicomponent alloys for catalysis and other applications.Francis Okejiri Zhenzhen Yang Hao Chen Chi-Linh Do-Thanh Tao Wang Shize Yang Sheng Dai 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1
11Description of a New Species of the Asian Newt Genus Tylototriton sensu lato(Amphibia:Urodela:Salamandridae) from Southwest China显示文摘The newt genus Tylototriton sensu lato is widely distributed in Eastern,Southeastern and Southern Asia.Previous studies indicated that there still has been several cryptic species in the group.Here,we describe a new species of the genus from Guizhou Province,China.Phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial DNA supported that the new species was resolved as an independent clade nested into the Tylototriton sensu lato clade.On morphology,the new species could be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following characters:large body size(SVL 76.8-85.2 mm in male and 76.3-87.4 mm in female);head longer than wide;snout truncate in dorsal view;tail length longer than the snout-vent length in males;the distal digit ends,ventral digits,peripheral area of cloaca and the tail s lower margin are orange;relative length of toesⅢ> Ⅳ> Ⅱ> Ⅰ> Ⅴ;the distal tips of the limbs greatly overlapping when the fore and hind limbs are pressed along the trunk;fingertips reach the level beyond the snout when the forelimbs are stretched forward.Shize LI Gang WEI Yanlin CHENG Baowei ZHANG Bin WANG 2020Asian Herpetological Research2020,11,4:1
12Integrated metabolism and epigenetic modifications in the macrophages of mice in responses to cold stress显示文摘The negative effects of low temperature can readily induce a variety of diseases.We sought to understand the reasons why cold stress induces disease by studying the mechanisms of fine-tuning in macrophages following cold exposure.We found that cold stress triggers increased macrophage activation accompanied by metabolic reprogramming of aerobic glycolysis.The discovery,by genome-wide RNA sequencing,of defective mitochondria in mice macrophages following cold exposure indicated that mitochondrial defects may contribute to this process.In addition,changes in metabolism drive the differentiation of macrophages by affecting histone modifications.Finally,we showed that histone acetylation and lactylation are modulators of macrophage differentiation following cold exposure.Collectively,metabolism-related epigenetic modifications are essential for the differentiation of macrophages in cold-stressed mice,and the regulation of metabolism may be crucial for alleviating the harm induced by cold stress.Jingjing LU Shoupeng FU Jie DAI Jianwen HU Shize LI Hong JI Zhiquan WANG Jiahong YU Jiming BAO Bin XU Jingru GUO Huanmin YANG 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,6:0
13Investigations of Thermal Deformation Based on the Monitoring System of Tianma 13.2 m VGOS Telescope显示文摘The thermal expansion of radio telescopes has been recognized as a significant systematic error in Very Long Baseline Interferometry(VLBI) data analysis. Although the thermal expansion model recommended by International Earth Rotation Service(IERS) Conventions 2010 can achieve millimeter accuracy for the International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry(IVS) routine telescopes, both the International Terrestrial Reference Frame 2020(ITRF2020) in preparation and the VLBI2010 project encourage the scientific community to reconsider its modeling. To this end, we developed a monitoring system for the Tianma 13.2 m VLBI Global Observing System(VGOS) telescope. Based on the observed data, we refined the IERS expansion model, with results showing that the accuracy of our modified model was improved by 1.9 times. 14Switching CO_(2) Electroreduction Selectivity Between C_(1) and C_(2) Hydrocarbons on Cu Gas-Diffusion Electrodes显示文摘Regulating the selectivity toward a target hydrocarbon product is still the focus of CO_(2)electroreduction.Here,we discover that the original surface Cu species in Cu gas-diffusion electrodes plays a more important role than the surface roughness,local pH,and facet in governing the selectivity toward C_(1)or C_(2)hydrocarbons.The selectivity toward C_(2)H_(4) progressively increases,while CH_(4) decreases steadily upon lowering the Cu oxidation species fraction.At a relatively low electrodeposition voltage of 1.5 V,the Cu gas-diffusion electrode with the highest Cu^(δ+)/Cu^(0)ratio favors the pathways of∗CO hydrogenation to form CH_(4) with maximum Faradaic efficiency of 65.4%and partial current density of 228 mA cm^(−2)at−0.83 V vs RHE.At 2.0 V,the Cu gas-diffusion electrode with the lowest Cu^(δ+)/Cu^(0)ratio prefers C-C coupling to form C_(2)+products with Faradaic efficiency topping 80.1%at−0.75 V vs RHE,where the Faradaic efficiency of C_(2)H_(4) accounts for 46.4%and the partial current density of C_(2)H_(4) achieves 279 mA cm^(−2).This work demonstrates that the selectivity from CH_(4) to C_(2)H_(4) is switchable by tuning surface Cu species composition of Cu gas-diffusion electrodes.Jianfang Zhang Zhengyuan Li Rui Cai Tianyu Zhang Shize Yang Lu Ma Yan Wang Yucheng Wu Jingjie Wu 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,2:0

16Activation of Transition Metal(Fe,Co and Ni)-Oxide Nanoclusters by Nitrogen Defects in Carbon Nanotube for Selective CO_(2) Reduction Reaction显示文摘The electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR),which can produce value-added chemical feedstocks,is a proton-coupled-electron process with sluggish kinetics.Thus,highly efficient,cheap catalysts are urgently required.Transition metal oxides such as CoO_(x),FeO_(x),and NiO_(x)are low-cost,low toxicity,and abundant materials for a wide range of electrochemical reactions,but are almost inert for CO_(2)RR.Here,we report for the first time that nitrogen doped carbon nanotubes(N-CNT)have a surprising activation effect on the activity and selectivity of transition metal-oxide(MO_(x)where M=Fe,Ni,and Co)nanoclusters for CO_(2)RR.MO_(x)supported on N-CNT,MO_(x)/N-CNT,achieves a CO yield of 2.6–2.8 mmol cm−2 min−1 at an overpotential of−0.55 V,which is two orders of magnitude higher than MO_(x)supported on acid treated CNTs(MO_(x)/O-CNT)and four times higher than pristine N-CNT.The faraday efficiency for electrochemical CO_(2)-to-CO conversion is as high as 90.3%at overpotential of 0.44 V.Both in-situ XAS measurements and DFT calculations disclose that MO_(x)nanoclusters can be hydrated in CO_(2)saturated KHCO_(3),and the N defects of N-CNT effectively stabilize these metal hydroxyl species under carbon dioxide reduction reaction conditions,which can split the water molecules and provide local protons to inhibit the poisoning of active sites under carbon dioxide reduction reaction conditions.Yi Cheng Jinfan Chen Chujie Yang Huiping Wang Bernt Johannessen Lars Thomsen Martin Saunders Jianping Xiao Shize Yang San Ping Jiang 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,1:0
17Prospective study of high geodetic resolution to future VGOS reference point determination显示文摘The fast slewing rate and wide band of the VLBI2010 Global Observing System(VGOS) telescopes are beneficial to procure more observations and to obtain VLBI reference points(RPs) of high precisions.Meanwhile, with the development of synchronous tracking of fixed targets on telescopes during the observing, the RPs also can be determined in near real time based on a frame defined by other techniques. These opportunities provide us a possibility to explore the high geodetic resolution of VGOS telescopes. We design a thermal variation in RP as true values, and schedule a synchronous session of VGOS and target point(TP) series observing. Then VGOS delays and TP series are simulated and solved via piecewise functions. The results show that the accuracy of vertical component of the RP could be determined at an accuracy of 0.5 ± 0.3 mm in an hour using TP series, whereas the vertical components of RP solved by using VGOS delay measurements have a greater uncertainty due to the random error in the simulated atmosphere and bad radio source sky coverage in a shorter time interval.
