Natural variations of ZmSRO1d modulate the trade-off between drought resistance and yield by affecting ZmRBOHC-mediated stomatal ROS production in maize显示文摘While crop yields have historically increased, drought resistance has become a major concern in the context of global climate change. The trade-off between crop yield and drought resistance is a common phenomenon;however, the underlying molecular modulators remain undetermined.Through genome-wide association study,we revealed that three non-synonymous variants in a drought-resistant allele of ZmSRO1d-R resulted in plasma membrane localization and enhanced mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of ZmSRO1d toward ZmRBOHC,which increased reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels in guard cells and promoted stomatal closure.ZmSRO1d-R enhanced plant drought resilience and protected grain yields under drought conditions, but it led to yield drag under favorable conditions. In contrast,loss-of-function mutants of ZmRBOHC showed remarkably increased yields under well-watered conditions, whereas they showed compromised drought resistance.Interestingly,by analyzing 189 teosinte accessions,we found that the ZmSRO1d-R allele was present in teosinte but was selected against during maize domestication and modern breeding.Collectively, our work suggests that the allele frequency reduction of ZmSRO1d-R in breeding programs may have compromised maize drought resistance while increased yields. Therefore, introduction of the ZmSRO1d-R allele into modern maize cultivars would contribute to food security under drought stress caused by global climate change.Huajian Gao Junjun Cui Shengxue Liu Shuhui Wang Yongyan Lian Yunting Bai Tengfei Zhu Haohao Wu Yijie Wang Shiping Yang Xuefeng Li Junhong Zhuang Limei Chen Zhizhong Gong Feng Qin 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,10:2
Effects of exogenous enzymes and dietary energy on performance and digestive physiology of broilers显示文摘The study was conducted to compare the effects of XG with AG and BM at different metabolizable energy diets on growth performance, digestive physiology and energy utilization of broilers fed with corn-SBM diet. A 2 × 4 factorial design was used with two basal diets(the positive control group, PC; negative control with ME reduction 100 kcal/ kg, NC) and with or without the addition of three exogenous enzymes(0.02% BM; 0.01% AG; 0.05% XG) respectively. 1,200 one-day-old broilers were randomly allocated to 8 treatments with 10 pens of 15 broilers. There was no significant difference on BW, BWG, and FI at 0-21d, 21-42d or 0-42d for diet, enzymes or their interactions, but FI at 22-42d and 0-42d were tend to be decreased with the addition of enzymes. The F/G was significantly improved by the addition of enzymes especially in NC diet. The dietary AME and TME in PC or NC diet were significantly increased by XG or AG in NC diet. The villus length and V/C of ileum were significantly increased by the addition of BM or XG. XG improved the activities of trypsin, chymotrypsin and amylase, BM improved the activity of trypsin at 21d, and AG improved the activity of chymotrypsin at 21d. Comparing to PC diet, the addition of enzymes in PC or NC diet decreased feed cost per kg body weight gain especially in NC diet(except AG in PC diet) with the highest profits for XG in NC diet. In conclusion, supplementation of 0.02% BM or 0.01% AG or 0.05% XG could improve feed conversion of broilers in corn-soybean meal diet by improving energy utilization and digestive physiology, and also supplementation of 0.05% XG had a preferable efficacy in low energy diet.Jialing Zou Ping Zheng Keying Zhang Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai 2013Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2013,4,4:2
Dietary calcium requirements of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age显示文摘Background:The current calcium(Ca)recommendation for broilers is primarily based on studies conducted more than 30 years ago with birds of markedly different productive potentials from those which exist today. And the response indicators in these studies are mainly growth performance and bone ash percentage. Therefore, the present study was carried out to investigate the effect of dietary Ca level on growth performance, serum parameters, bone characteristics and Ca metabolism-related gene expressions,so as to estimate dietary Ca requirements of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age. Methods:A total of 4201-day-old Arbor Acres male broilers were randomly assigned to 1 of 7 treatments with 6 replicates(10 birds per cage)and fed the corn-soybean meal diets containing 0.60%,0.70%,0.80%,0.90%,1.00%,1.10%or 1.20%Ca for 21 days. Each diet contained the constant non-phytate phosphorus content of about 0.39%.Results:The average daily gain decreased linearly(P<0.001)as dietary Ca level increased. The serum and tibia alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activities, tibia bone mineral density(BMD),middle toe BMD,tibia ash percentage, tibia breaking strength, and tibia ALP protein expression level were affected(P<0.05)by dietary Ca level, and showed significant quadratic responses(P<0.02)to dietary Ca levels. The estimates of dietary Ca requirements were 0.80 to 1.00%based on the best fitted broken-line or quadratic models(P<0.03)of the above serum and bone parameters, respectively. Conclusions:The results from the present study indicate that the Ca requirements would be about 0.60%to obtain the best growth rate, and 1.00%to meet all of the Ca metabolisms and bone development of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age.Shiping Bai Yunfeng Yang Xuelian Ma Xiudong Liao Runlian Wang Liyang Zhang Sufen Li Xugang Luo Lin Lu 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,4:2
Serum trimethylamine-N-oxide and gut microbiome alterations are associated with cholesterol deposition in the liver of laying hens fed with rapeseed meal显示文摘Sinapine derived from cruciferous plants could be converted into trimethylamine by intestinal microbiota. Its metabolite, trimethylamine N-oxide(TMAO),is closely linked to increased risk of cardiovascular disease and fat deposition in mammals.Hens fed with rapeseed meal(RSM)suffered from fatty liver hemorrhage syndrome(FLHS).This study was conducted to investigate whether RSM-induced fatty liver is due to TMAO via altering microbiota composition and diversity. At 33 weeks of age,600 laying hens were randomly divided into 5 treatment groups, namely control and 14%RSM treatment groups(DY5,with 16.2% erucic acid [EA]and 74.66% glucosinolate[Gl]contents;MB1,with 3.50% EA and 43.23 %Gl contents;DY6,with 6.7% EA and 22.67% Gl contents;XH3,with 44.60% EA and 132.83% Gl contents)for 8 weeks. Results revealed that 3 hens died due to liver hemorrhage after ingesting 14% RSM diet. The 14% RSM decreased serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)content(P<0.01)while tended to increase serum TMAO content compared to the control group(P=0.08).The 14% RSM diet increased red oil O optical density(P<0.01),and increased total cholesterol(TC)and LDL-C content in the liver(P<0.01,and P<0.01,respectively).The 14%RSM decreased liver total bile acid(TBA)content compared to the control(P<0.01).The DY6 had a higher TBA content in the liver than the XH3(P<0.01).The 14%RSM decreased mRNA abundance of liver X receptors alpha(LXR-α,P=0.01),and increased mRNA abundance of sterol response element binding protein 2(SREBP-2,P=0.04).Results revealed that the in-feed RSM could alter richness and diversity of cecal microbiota compared to the control(P<0.05).Liver TC content and serum TMAO showed a negative relationship with Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria(P=0.04).In conclusion,14%RSM increased liver TC and induced high liver score of FLHS,which was possibly associated with the altered cecal microbiota composition, increased serum TMAO levels and LXR-αand SREBP-2 expressions.Liping Zhu Jianping Wang Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai Qiufeng Zeng Yue Xuan Gregory S.Fraley Keying Zhang 2021Animal Nutrition2021,,4:2
Effects of dietary nanocrystalline cellulose supplementation on growth performance, carcass traits, intestinal development and lipid metabolism of meat ducks显示文摘The influence of nanocrystalline cellulose(NCC) supplementation on growth performance, carcass traits, intestinal development, and lipid metabolism was assessed in 600 one-day-old male meat ducks(Cherry Valley ducks) from 1 to 35 d of age. Diets were supplemented with 0,200,500,800 and 1,500 mg/kg NCC during both the starter(1-14 d) and grower(15-35 d) phases. Each dietary treatment consisted of 8 replicate cages of 15 birds. Supplementation of NCC was associated with dose dependent increases in BW gain and feed intake(P < 0.01) during 1-14 d of age and in BW at 35 d of age. As NCC content increased, the percentage of breast meat weight(P < 0.05) and leg(with bone) weight(P < 0.05) linearly increased, while the percentage of abdominal fat weight(P < 0.01) linearly decre.ased in ducks at 35 d of age.Supplementation of NCC resulted in a dose-dependent increase in the weight(P < 0.05) and density(P < 0.01) of the cecum. The percentage of total hepatic lipid content(P < 0.01) at 14 d of age and serum triglyceride(TG) concentration(P = 0.052) at 35 d of age linearly decreased with increasing of dietary NCC addition. In conclusion, inclusion of 1,500 mg/kg NCC in feed resulted in the greatest improvements in duck performance, intestinal development and lipid deposition.Haoyue Han Keying Zhang Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai Yueheng Luo Jianping Wang Huanwei Peng Qiufeng Zeng 2016Animal Nutrition2016,,3:2
An invasive zone in human liver cancer identified by Stereo-seq promotes hepatocyte–tumor cell crosstalk, local immunosuppression and tumor progression显示文摘Dissecting and understanding the cancer ecosystem, especially that around the tumor margins, which have strong implications for tumor cell infiltration and invasion, are essential for exploring the mechanisms of tumor metastasis and developing effective new treatments.Using a novel tumor border scanning and digitization model enabled by nanoscale resolution-SpaTial Enhanced REsolution Omics-sequencing(Stereo-seq),we identified a 500µm-wide zone centered around the tumor border in patients with liver cancer, referred to as“the invasive zone”.We detected strong immunosuppression, metabolic reprogramming, and severely damaged hepatocytes in this zone.We also identified a subpopulation of damaged hepatocytes with increased expression of serum amyloid A1 and A2(referred to collectively as SAAs)located close to the border on the paratumor side.Overexpression of CXCL6 in adjacent malignant cells could induce activation of the JAK-STAT3 pathway in nearby hepatocytes, which subsequently caused SAAs’overexpression in these hepatocytes.Furthermore, overexpression and secretion of SAAs by hepatocytes in the invasive zone could lead to the recruitment of macrophages and M2 polarization, further promoting local immunosuppression, potentially resulting in tumor progression.Clinical association analysis in additional five independent cohorts of patients with primary and secondary liver cancer(n=423)showed that patients with overexpression of SAAs in the invasive zone had a worse prognosis.Further in vivo experiments using mouse liver tumor models in situ confirmed that the knockdown of genes encoding SAAs in hepatocytes decreased macrophage accumulation around the tumor border and delayed tumor growth. The identification and characterization of a novel invasive zone in human cancer patients not only add an important layer of understanding regarding the mechanisms of tumor invasion and metastasis, but may also pave the way for developing novel therapeutic strategies for advanced liver cancer and other solid tumors.Liang Wu Jiayan Yan Yinqi Bai Feiyu Chen Xuanxuan Zou Jiangshan Xu Ao Huang Liangzhen Hou Yu Zhong Zehua Jing Qichao Yu Xiaorui Zhou Zhifeng Jiang Chunqing Wang Mengnan Cheng Yuan Ji Yingyong Hou Rongkui Luo Qinqin Li Liang Wu Jianwen Cheng Pengxiang Wang Dezhen Guo Waidong Huang Junjie Lei Shang Liu Yizhen Yan Yiling Chen Sha Liao Yuxiang Li Haixiang Sun Na Yao Xiangyu Zhang Shiyu Zhang Xi Chen Yang Yu Yao Li Fengming Liu Zheng Wang Shaolai Zhou Huanming Yang Shuang Yang Xun Xu Longqi Liu Qiang Gao Zhaoyou Tang Xiangdong Wang Jian Wang Jia Fan Shiping Liu Xinrong Yang Ao Chen Jian Zhou 2023Cell Research2023,33,8:1
Effects of Compound Acidifier and Probiotics on Production Performance,Blood Biochemical Indexes,Antioxidant Indexes and Salmonella Infection of Laying Hens显示文摘This study evaluated the effects of compound acidifier and probiotics on production performance, blood biochemical indexes, antioxidant indexes and Salmonella infection of laying hens. A total of 600 50-week-old healthy laying hens with similar laying rate were randomly assigned to four groups,10 repeats each group, and each repeat contained 15 chickens. The laying hens in control group were fed a basal diet, and in the other three experimental groups were fed basal diets supplemented with 300 g/t probiotics,0. 1% compound acidifier in the drinking water every other day,and 300 g/t probiotics + 0. 1% compound acidifier in the drinking water every other day, respectively. After the feeding of 16 weeks,a total of 60 laying hens from control group were divided into four treatments as the same above for a 13-day long Salmonella challenge( 1. 3 × 10~8 CFU) trial. The results were shown as follows: no significant effects were observed on production performance, hemoglobin content, the superoxide dismutase activity and total antioxidant capacity of reproductive organ in compound acidifier and probiotics groups( P >0. 05). Dirty egg rate was significantly decreased in compound acidifier group, probiotics group and combination group of both( P <0. 05). Compared with the control group, white blood cell count in probiotics group was significantly decreased( P < 0. 05),and the immunoglobulin content in probiotics group tended to be increased( P = 0. 061). The malondialdehyde( MDA) content in oviduct isthmus of hens in compound acidifier group and combination group was significantly decreased compared with the control group( P < 0. 05). The Salmonella positive rate in oviduct of hens in compound acidifier group was significantly decreased at the 7^(th) and 14^(th) days( P < 0. 05),but that in probiotics group and combination group was not significantly different compared with control group( P > 0. 05). In conclusion, compound acidifier and probiotics can improve health status of laying hens through decreasing the dirty egg rate and increasing antioxidant capacity and immunity of them, thus reducing Salmonella infection of body and eggs.Zhou Ling Ding Xuemei Luo Yuheng Wang Jianping Bai Shiping Meng Huaiwang Zhang Keying 2017Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2017,9,3:1

Effects of a multi-enzyme complex on growth performance, nutrient utilization and bone mineralization of meat duck显示文摘Background:Previous studies with broiler have shown dietary supplementation with multi-enzyme complex containing non-starch polysaccharides(NSP) degrading enzymes and phytase is efficient in releasing phosphorus(P),calcium(Ca),energy and amino acids from corn-soybean meal diets or corn-sorghum diets, hence compensating considerable levels of nutrients in formulation.Notwithstanding, such potentials have not been well defined in duck nutrition.Giving China being the largest duck producing country,we conducted this study to establish adequate specifications of major nutrients along with multi-enzyme complex to meat duck from day-old to slaughter, focusing on performance, utilization of nutrients and bone mineralization.Five dietary treatments were:Positive control(PC,T1):the nutrients concentration of diet for 1 to 14 d of age were apparent metabolizable energy(AME) 2,800 kcal/kg,crude protein(CP)19.39%,Ca 0.85%,available phosphorus(avP) 0.42%;for 15 to 35 d of age these parameters were AME2,900 kcal/kg,CP 16.47%,Ca 0.76%,avP 0.38%;Negative control 1(NC1,T2),the AME and digestible amino acids(DAA)were reduced by 70 kcal/kg and 2.0%,avP and Ca by 1.0 g/kg from PC diet;Negative control 2(NC2T4),the downspec from PC diet was AME 100 kcal/kg,DAA 2.5%,avP 1.5 g/kg and Ca 1.2 g/kg;The enzyme complex was added at the same dosage(200 ml7 1,000 kg) on NCI(T3) and NC2(T5) diets. Results:Comparing with the ducks fed on T1,T3 and T5 diets, the birds fed on NC2 diet showed the lowest(P < 0.05)body weight(d 14 and 35),feed intake(d 35),tibia ash,Ca and P contents(d 14 and 35),and the utilization of nutrients(P< 0.05).The supplementation with the enzyme complex to the NC diets restored growth rate, utilization of nutrients and bone mineralization to the level of the PC diet, and increased AME by 60 kcal/kg and117 kcal/kg,respectively for the NCI and NC2 diets. Conclusion:These results suggest that down-spec AME by 100 kcal/kg,DAA by 2.5%,avP by 1.5 g/kg and Ca by1.2 g/kg caused detrimental effects on duck performance compared with those fed on the PC diet, and these performance losses can be compensated by the addition of the multiple-enzyme complex.Qiufeng Zeng Xueqin Huang Yuheng Luo Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai Jianping Wang Yue Xuan Zhuowei Su Yonggang Liu Keying Zhang 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,4:1

Calcium supplementation in low nutrient density diet for meat ducksimproves breast meat tenderness associated with myocyte apoptosisand proteolytic changes显示文摘To define the relationship between dietary nutrient density, calcium (Ca), and meat quality in meatducks. A total of 288 male Cherry Valley SM3 medium ducklings were fed a common standard starter dietuntil d 14. At 15 d of age, ducks were randomly divided into 2 treatment groups and fed either a conventionaldiet or a low nutrient density (LND) diet. Compared with the conventional diet, the energy wasreduced in the LND diet by 8.6% and 16.8% in grower (15 to 35 d) and finisher (36 to 56 d) phases, respectively, while other essential nutrients were kept proportionate to energy. The LND diet decreasedthe shear force (P < 0.05) and increased the lightness values of the pectoralis muscle when compared tothe conventional diet, suggesting that LND diet exerted a beneficial role in meat quality. Subsequently, the effects of grated Ca in the LND diet on meat quality of pectoralis muscle were evaluated. A total of 576male ducklings were fed a common starter diet until d 14, followed by feeding 4 LND diets with 0.5%,0.7%, 0.9%, and 1.1% Ca. The results show that LND diets with 0.7% or more Ca decreased the shear force ofpectoralis major muscle in 42-d-old meat ducks (P < 0.05). To explore the mechanism underlying Ca andtenderness, data from birds fed either 0.5% or 1.1% Ca in the LND diet indicated that birds fed 1.1% Caexhibited lower shear force, upregulated calpains 1 expression, and higher calpains activity compared tothose fed the LND diet with 0.5% Ca (P < 0.05). Moreover, the 1.1% Ca LND diet induced a higher myocyteapoptosis (P =0.06) and upregulated mRNA expression of caspase-3 (P =0.07) in breast muscle. Our datasuggest that LND diets with 0.9% or 1.1% Ca had a positive role in the tenderness of breast meat, particularly the enhancing effect of 1.1% Ca LND diet on tenderness seems to be associated with proteolyticchanges of myofibrillar proteins and myocyte apoptosis in meat ducks.Huaiyong Zhang Quifeng Zeng Shiping Bai Jianping Wang Xuemei Ding Yue Xuan Zhuowei Su Joris Michiels Keying Zhang 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:1
Effect of dietary canthaxanthin and 25-hydroxycholecalciferol supplementation on the performance of duck breeders under two different vitamin regimens显示文摘Background: Dietary canthaxanthin(CX), 25-hydroxycholecalciferol(25-OH-D3) and vitamins have been widely reported to be involved in productive and reproductive performance of broiler breeders. However, limited information is available for duck breeders. In this study, a total of 1,560 Cherry Valley SM3 duck breeder females and 312 males were used to assess if the addition of CX and 25-OH-D3 could increase the performance of duck breeders under two different dietary vitamin regimens. Four diets were used under a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement with 2 kinds of vitamin premixes(REGULAR and HIGH; HIGH premix had higher levels of all vitamins except K3 than REGULAR premix), and with or without the supplementation of the mixture of CX(6 mg/kg) and 25-OH-D3(0.069 mg/kg). The ducks were fed ad libitum with pelleted diets based on corn-soybean meal from 38 to 77 wk of age. Results: HIGH vitamin premix decreased malondialdehyde(MDA) level(P < 0.001) of egg yolk, increased hatchability of fertile eggs(P = 0.029), increased hatchability of total eggs(P = 0.029), and decreased serum protein carbonyl level(P = 0.037) of breeder males. The mixture of CX and 25-OH-D3 increased serum calcium of breeder females(P = 0.010), decreased the cracked egg rate(P = 0.001), increased the pigmentation of egg yolk(P < 0.001)and male bill(P < 0.001), and decreased MDA level of egg yolk(P < 0.001) and male serum(P = 0.034). Interactive effects were observed in cracked egg rate(P = 0.038), shell thickness(P = 0.011) and serum phosphorus(P = 0.026)of breeder females. HIGH vitamin premix together with the mixture of CX and 25-OH-D3 decreased cracked egg rate and increased shell thickness of duck breeders. Serum phosphorus was decreased in duck breeder females fed REGULAR vitamin premix without the addition of the CX and 25-OH-D3 mixture. Conclusions: Dietary HIGH vitamin premix increased antioxidant status of eggs and breeder males, and increased hatchability. The mixture of CX and 25-OH-D3 enhanced egg shell quality, and promoted pigmentation and antioxidant status of eggs and breeder males.Zhouzheng Ren Shizhen Jiang Qiufeng Zeng Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai Jianping Wang Yuheng Luo Zhuowei Su Yue Xuan Bing Yao Fernando Cisneros Keying Zhang 2016Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,2:0

Dietary resistant starch ameliorating lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in meat ducks associated with the alteration in gut microbiome and glucagon-like peptide 1 signaling显示文摘Background:Consumption of resistant starch(RS)has been associated with various intestinal and systemic health benefits, but knowledge of its effects on intestinal health and inflammatory response in stressed birds is limited. Here,we examined how dietary RS supplementation from 12%raw potato starch(RPS)modulated inflammatory severity induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in meat ducks. Results:LPS administration at 14,16,and 18 d(chronic challenge)decreased body weight(BW)and glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor(GLP-1R)level with higher intestinal permeability and inflammation, evident by higher proinflammatory cytokine levels.Dietary 12%RPS supplementation enhanced Claudin-1 and GLP-1R expression, along with lower levels of inflammatory factors in both ileum and serum.Microbiome analysis showed that RS treatment shifted microbial structure reflected by enriched the proportion of Firmicutes,Bifidobacterium,Ruminococcus, etc.Dietary RS addition also significantly increased the concentrations of propionate and butyrate during chronic LPS challenge.Furthermore, response to acute challenge, the ducks received 2 mg/kg BW LPS at 14 d had higher concentrations of serum endotoxins and inflammatory cytokines,as well as upregulated transcription of toll like receptor 4(TLR4)in ileum when compared to control birds.Analogous to GLP-1 agonist liraglutide, dietary RS addition decreased endotoxins and inflammation cytokines, whereas it upregulated the GLP-1 synthesis related genes expression.Meanwhile, dietary RS supplementation suppressed the acute LPS challenge-induced TLR4 transcription. Conclusions:These data suggest that dietary 12%RPS supplementation could attenuate the LPS-induced inflammation as well as intestinal injury of meat ducks, which might involve in the alteration in gut microbiota,SCFAs production and the signaling pathways of TLR4 and GLP-1/GLP-1R.Simeng Qin Weiqiang Bai Todd JApplegate Keying Zhang Gang Tian Xuemei Ding Shiping Bai Jianping Wang Li Lv Huanwei Peng Yue Xuan Qiufeng Zeng 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,6:0
Phylogenetic Structure of Low Altitude Forest Communities in Baotianman Mountain显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to reveal the phylogenetic structure of low altitude forest communities in Baotianman Mountain.[Methods]Ten 20 m×20 m plots were set at an altitude of 249-796 m in Baotianman Nature Reserve,in which 62 plant species were found.A phylogenetic tree was established on Phylomatic website, and the community related phylogenetic indexes at low altitude were calculated and analyzed, including net relatedness index(NRI),nearest taxon index(NTI),phylogenetic diversity Faith's PD index, phylogeneticβdiversity PhyloSor index and Dnn index.[Results]The NTI and NRI values of low altitude forest communities were generally greater than 0,showing phylogenetically clustered communities, and habitat filtration was the dominant factor in community construction.Combined with the species abundance matrix of plots,it was found that PD index had a significantly positive correlation with species richness.Phylogeneticβdiversity PhyloSor index was larger in the lower altitude area, which was exactly opposite to Dnn index. In other words, the more similar the community, the closer the distance between species, and the communities were phylogenetically clustered.[Conclusions]The study can provide a scientific basis for forest community management and restoration.Jianghao ZHAO Yingying LIU Xiaoguo BAI Anping LI Yanjiao LI Shiping CHENG Guang QI 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,6:0
Conservative Treatment of Fetal Goitrous Hypothyroidism Due to Thyroglobulin Mutations:A Case Report and Literature Review显示文摘With the advances in fetal medicine, there will be more cases of congenital hypothyroidism(CH)diagnosed in the fetal period. However, there is no consensus on the management protocol. We present a successful case of conservatively managed fetal goitrous hypothyroidism due to compound heterozygous TG mutations.Goiter was observed in a fetus at 23 weeks of gestation.Because there was no evidence of transplacental passage of antithyroid antibody and drugs, iodine overload, and iodine deficiency, the fetus was highly suspected to have CH.Considering the potential risks of amniocentesis/cordocentesis,and lack of available parenteral levothyroxine in China, the fetus was closely monitored thereafter.A male neonate was delivered vaginally without complications at 39 weeks of gestation. We verified severe hypothyroidism in the infant and immediately initiated levothyroxine therapy. His growth and mental development were normal at the age of 8 month.Whole-exome sequencing showed that the neonate had two compound heterozygous mutations in the TG gene.We also performed a literature review of the prognosis of postnatal treatment of CH due to TG mutations and the result showed that postnatal treatment of CH due to TG mutations has a favorable prognosis. However, further prospective studies are warranted to verify this conclusion.Shiping Liu Wei Bai Ying Gao Chunyan Shi Lixin Fan Junya Chen Jian Shi Weije Sun Xinlin Hou Huixia Yang 2023Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,3:0
Synthesis and relaxivity of Gd(Ⅲ), Fe(Ⅲ) and Mn(Ⅱ) complexes with dihydropyridine derivative of diethvlenetriaminepentaacetic acid显示文摘A novel ligand of DTPA-dihydropyridine derivative was synthesized by reaction of DTPA-dianhydride with 4-aniline-1,4-dihydropyridine. Its complexes of gadolinium, manganese and iron were prepared. Their spin-lattice relaxivities (T1) were investigated. The results show that the NMR T1 relaxivitives (R1) for complexes of Fe(Ⅲ), Mn(Ⅱ) are less than that of Gd(Ⅲ) complex, which has a high relaxivity (R1) on the surrounding water protons, indicating that the Gd(Ⅲ) complex possesses the precondition to be contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging.CHANG Jianhua ZHENG Shuzhan JIAN Yajun BAI Yinjuan ZHANG Shiping 2005Science China Chemistry2005,48,z1:0
