| 1 | A review and comparison of surface incident shortwave radiation from multiple data sources: satellite retrievals, reanalysis data and GCM simulations显示文摘Surface incident shortwave radiation(Rs)can promote the circulation of substance and energy, and the accuracy of its estimation is of great significance for climate studies. The Rs can be acquired from satellite retrievals, reanalysis predictions and general circulation model(GCM)simulations.Although Rs estimates have been evaluated and compared in previous studies, most of them focus on evaluating the Rs estimates over specific regions using ground measurements from limited stations. Therefore,it is essential to comprehensively validate Rs estimates from multiple data sources. In this study, ground measurements of 690 stations from BSRN,GEBA,CMA,GC-NET and buoys were employed to validate the Rs estimates from seven representative products(GLASS,GEWEX-SRB,CERES-EBAF,ERA5,MERRA2,CFSR and CMIP6).The validation results indicated that the selected products overestimated Rs globally, with biases ranged from 0.48 to 21.27 W/m^(2).The satellite retrievals showed relatively better accuracy among seven datasets compared to ground measurements at the selected stations. Moreover, the selected seven products were all in poor accuracy at high-latitude regions with RMSEs greater than 50 W/m^(2).The long-term variation trends were also analyzed in this study. | Shuyue Yang Xiaotong Zhang Shikang Guan Wenbo Zhao Yanjun Duan Yunjun Yao Kun Jia Bo Jiang | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 1 |
| 2 | Mongolia Contributed More than 42%of the Dust Concentrations in Northern China in March and April 2023显示文摘Dust storms are one of the most frequent meteorological disasters in China, endangering agricultural production, transportation, air quality, and the safety of people’s lives and property.Against the backdrop of climate change,Mongolia’s contribution to China’s dust cannot be ignored in recent years. In this study,we used the Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry(WRF-Chem),along with dynamic dust sources and the HYSPLIT model,to analyze the contributions of different dust sources to dust concentrations in northern China in March and April 2023.The results show that the frequency of dust storms in 2023 was the highest observed in the past decade.Mongolia and the Taklimakan Desert were identified as two main dust sources contributing to northern China.Specifically,Mongolia contributed more than 42%of dust, while the Taklimakan Desert accounted for 26%.A cold high-pressure center,a cold front, and a Mongolian cyclone resulted in the transport of dust aerosols from Mongolia and the Taklimakan Desert to northern China, where they affected most parts of the region. Moreover, two machine learning methods[the XGBoost algorithm and the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique(SMOTE)]were used to forecast the dust storms in March 2023,based on ground observations and WRF-Chem simulations over East Asia.XGBoost-SMOTE performed well in predicting hourly PM10 concentrations in China in March 2023,with a mean absolute error of 33.8μg m−3 and RMSE of 54.2μg m−3. | Siyu CHEN Dan ZHAO Jianping HUANG Jiaqi HE Yu CHEN Junyan CHEN Hongru BI Gaotong LOU Shikang DU Yue ZHANG Fan YANG | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,9: | 0 |
| 3 | Breathable Kirigami‑Shaped Ionotronic e‑Textile with Touch/Strain Sensing for Friendly Epidermal Electronics显示文摘Flexible ionotronic devices have great potential to revolutionize epidermal electronics. However, the lack of breathability in most ionotronic devices is a significance barrier to practical application.Herein,a breathable kirigami-shaped ionotronic e-textile with two functions of sensing(touch and strain)is designed,by integrating silk fabric and kirigami-shaped ionic hydrogel. The kirigami-shaped ionic hydrogel, combined with fluffy silk fabric, allows the ionotronic e-textile to achieve excellent breathability and comfortability.Furthermore, the fabricated ionotronic e-textile can precisely perform the function of touch sensing and strain perception. For touch-sensing,the ionotronic e-textile can detect the position of finger touching point with a fast response time(3 ms)based on the interruption of the ion field. For strain sensing, large workable strain range(>100%),inconspicuous drift(<0.78%)and long-term stability(>10,000 cycles)is demonstrated. On the proof of concept,a fabric keyboard and game controlling sleeve have been designed to display touch and strain sensing functions. The ionotronic e-textile break through the bottlenecks of traditional wearable ionotronic devices, suggesting a great promising application in future wearable epidermal electronics. | Ruidong Xu Minghua She Jiaxu Liu Shikang Zhao Hong Liu Lijun Qu Mingwei Tian | 2022 | Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,6: | 0 |
