1Earth Observation Brain(EOB):an intelligent earth observation system显示文摘Since the twenty-first century,with the rapid development of high-resolution earth observation satellites,the earth observation satellite system has developed from the initial single satellite observation model to the current satellite constellation formed by light and small satellites observation model.All-weather and all-directional fine earth observation can now be realized.In the future,the satellite constellation,communication satellites,navigation satellites,and aircrafts are linked through dynamic linking network to form an air-space information network to realize real-time services of intelligent air-space information.To further enhance the perception,cognition,and quick response ability of the network,we propose the concept and model of the Earth Observation Brain(EOB)−the intelligent earth system based on events perception in this paper.Then,some key technologies needed to be solved in the EOB are also described.An application example is illustrated to show the process of perception and cognition in the primary stage of the EOB.In the future,EOB can observe what change of what object,the when and where to push these right information to mobile terminal of right people at the right time and right place.Global users can obtain any data,information,and knowledge in real-time through the EOB.Deren Li Mi Wang Zhipeng Dong Xin Shen Lite Shi 2017Geo-Spatial Information Science2017,20,2:6
2AFAP1-AS1: a rising star among oncogenic long non-coding RNAs显示文摘Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)have become a hotspot in biomedical research.This interest reflects their extensive involvement in the regulation of the expression of other genes,and their influence on the occurrence and development of a variety of human diseases.Actin filament associated protein 1-Antisense RNA 1(AFAP1-AS1)is a recently discovered oncogenic lncRNA.It is highly expressed in a variety of solid tumors,and regulates the expression of downstream genes and signaling pathways through adsorption and competing microRNAs,or by the direct binding to other proteins.Ultimately,AFAP1-AS1 promotes proliferation,chemotherapy resistance,and resistance to apoptosis,maintains stemness,and enhances invasion and migration of tumor cells.This paper summarizes the research concerning AFAP1-AS1 in malignant tumors,including the clinical application prospects of AFAP1-AS1 as a potential molecular marker and therapeutic target of malignant tumors.We also discuss the limitations in the knowledge of AFAP1-AS1 and directions of further research.AFAP1-AS1 is expected to provide an example for studies of other lncRNA molecules.Fang Xiong Kunjie Zhu Su Deng Hongbin Huang Liting Yang Zhaojian Gong Lei Shi Yi He Yanyan Tang Qianjin Liao Jianjun Yu Xiaoling Li Yong Li Guiyuan Li Zhaoyang Zeng Wei Xiong Shanshan Zhang Can Guo 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:4
3Synthesis of Chitosan-Hydroxyapatite Composites and Its Effect on the Properties of Bioglass Bone Cement显示文摘Chitosan-hydroxyapatite(CS-HA) composite powders were synthesized via in situ co-precipitation method,through the reaction of Ca(NO3)2 and H3PO4 in the simulated body fluid(SBF) containing appropriate amount of chitosan.The thermal evolution,microstructure and morphology were studied by TG-DTA(thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis),XRD(X-ray diffraction),FTIR(Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy) and TEM(transmission electron microscopy).The in vitro bioactivity test showed that the obtained CS-HA composites had higher capability of inducing calcium ions deposition.Effects of CS-HA composites on the bioactivity and compressive strength of bioglass bone cement were investigated.The results indicated that the bioactivity of bioglass bone cement could be improved further when CS-HA composite powders were added into the cement,and appropriate amount of CS-HA additive was favorable for compressive strength improvement of bioglass bone cement.Jingxiao Liu Fei Shi Ling Yu Liting Niu Shanshan Gao 2009Journal of Materials Science & Technology2009,25,4:3

5Understanding the role of interface in advanced semiconductor nanostructure and its interplay with wave function overlap显示文摘As the proportion of interfaces increases rapidly in nanomaterials,properties and quality of interfaces hugely impact the performance of advanced semiconductors.Here,the effect of interfaces is explored by comparatively studying two InAs/AlSb superlattices with and without the thin InAsSb layers inserted inside each InAs layers.Through strain mapping,it indicates that the addition of interfaces leads to an increase of local strain both near interfaces and inside layers.Meantime,owing to the creation of hole potential wells within the original electron wells,the charge distribution undergoes an extra electron-hole alternating arrangement in the structure with inserted layers than the uninserted counterpart.Such a feature is verified to enhance electron-hole wave function overlap by theoretical simulations,which is a must for better optical performance.Furthermore,with an elaborate design of the inserted layers,the wave function overlap could be boosted without sacrificing other key device performances.Chenyuan Cai Yunhao Zhao Faran Chang Xuebing Zhao Liting Yang Chongyun Liang Guowei Wang Zhichuan Niu Yi Shi Xianhu Liu Yuesheng Li Renchao Che 2020Nano Research2020,13,6:1
6Phase-field simulation tending to depict practical electrodeposition process in lithium-based batteries显示文摘Lithium dendrite growth due to uneven electrodeposition usually leads to the potential hazard of internal short circuit and shorter lifetime of lithium-based batteries. Extensive efforts have been devoted to explore the effects of single or two factors on dendrite growth, involving the diffusion coefficient, exchange current density, electrolyte concentration, temperature, and applied voltage. However, these factors interrelate during battery operation, signifying that a understanding of how they jointly influence the electrodeposition is of paramount importance for the effective suppression of dendrites. Here, we incorporate the dependent relationships among key factors into the phase-field model to capture their synergistic effects on electrodeposition. All the simulations are implemented in our self-written MATLAB code under a unified modeling framework. Following this, five groups of experimentally common dendrite patterns are reproduced and the corresponding electrodeposition driving forces are identified. Unexpectedly, we find that with the decrease of the ratio of exchange current density(or applied voltage) to diffusion coefficient, the electrodeposition morphology changes from needle-like dendrites to columnar dendrites and to uniform deposition. 9Long non-coding RNA AFAP1-AS1 accelerates lung cancer cells migration and invasion by interacting with SNIP1 to upregulate c-Myc显示文摘Actin filament associated protein 1 antisense RNA 1(named AFAP1-AS1)is a long non-coding RNA and overexpressed in many cancers.This study aimed to identify the role and mechanism of AFAP1-AS1 in lung cancer.The AFAP1-AS1 expression was firstly assessed in 187 paraffin-embedded lung cancer and 36 normal lung epithelial tissues by in situ hybridization.The migration and invasion abilities of AFAP1-AS1 were investigated in lung cancer cells.To uncover the molecular mechanism about AFAP1-AS1 function in lung cancer,we screened proteins that interact with AFAP1-AS1 by RNA pull down and the mass spectrometry analyses.AFAP1-AS1 was highly expressed in lung cancer clinical tissues and its expression was positively correlated with lung cancer patients'poor prognosis.In vivo experiments confirmed that AFAP1-AS1 could promote lung cancer metastasis.AFAP1-AS1 promoted lung cancer cells migration and invasion through interacting with Smad nuclear interacting protein 1(named SNIP1),which inhibited ubiquitination and degradation of c-Myc protein.Upregulation of c-Myc molecule in turn promoted the expression of ZEB1,ZEB2,and SNAIL gene,which ultimately enhanced epithelial to mesenchymal transition(EMT)and lung cancer metastasis.Understanding the molecular mechanism by which AFAP1-AS1 promotes lung cancer's migration and invasion may provide novel therapeutic targets for lung cancer patients'early diagnosis and therapy.Yu Zhong Liting Yang Fang Xiong Yi He Yanyan Tang Lei Shi Songqing Fan Zheng Li Shanshan Zhang Zhaojian Gong Can Guo Qianjin Liao Yujuan Zhou Ming Zhou Bo Xiang Xiaoling Li Yong Li Zhaoyang Zeng Guiyuan Li Wei Xiong 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7:1

11Intrinsic spin shielding effect in platinum-rare-earth alloy boosts oxygen reduction activity显示文摘Oxygen reduction reactions(ORRs)involve a multistep proton-coupled electron process accompanied by the conversion of the apodictic spin configuration.Understanding the role of spin configurations of metals in the adsorption and desorption of oxygen intermediates during ORRs is critical for the design of efficient ORR catalysts.Herein,a platinum-rare-earth-metal-based alloy catalyst,Pt_(2)Gd,is introduced to reveal the role of spin configurations in the catalytic activity of materials.The catalyst exhibits a unique intrinsic spin reconfiguration because of interactions between the Gd-4f and Pt-5d orbitals.The adsorption and desorption of the oxygen species are optimized by modifying the spin symmetry and electronic structures of the material for increased ORR efficiency.The Pt_(2)Gd alloy exhibits a half-wave potential of 0.95 V and a superior mass activity of 1.5 A·mg Pt^(−1)in a 0.1 M HClO_(4)electrolyte,as well as higher durability than conventional Pt/C catalysts.Theoretical calculations have proven that the spin shielding effect of Gd pairs increases the spin symmetry of Pt-5d orbitals and adsorption preferences toward spin-polarized intermediates to facilitate ORR.This work clarifies the impact of modulating the intrinsic spin state of Pt through the interaction with the local high spin 4f orbital electrons in rare-earth metals,with the aim of boosting the spin-related oxygen reduction reaction,thus fundamentally contributing to the understanding of new descriptors that control ORR activity.Siyuan Zhu Mingzi Sun Bingbao Mei Liting Yang Yuyi Chu Zhaoping Shi Jingsen Bai Xian Wang Zheng Jiang Changpeng Liu Bolong Huang Junjie Ge Wei Xing 2023National Science Review2023,10,9:0
12In situ dynamics response mechanism of the tunable length-diameter ratio nanochains for excellent microwave absorber显示文摘Faster response benefits the high-performance of magnetic material in various live applications.Hence,enhancing response speed toward the applied field via engineering advantages in structures is highly desired.In this paper,the precise synthesis of Co nanochain with the tunable length-diameter ratio is realized via a magnetic-field-guided assembly approach.The Co nanochain exhibits enhanced microwave absorption performance(near to-60 dB,layer thickness 2.2 mm)and broader effective absorption bandwidth(over 2/3 of total S,C,X,Ku bands).Furthermore,the simulated dynamic magnetic response reveals that the domain motion in 1D chain is faster than that in 0D nanoparticle,which is the determining factor of magnetic loss upgrade.Meanwhile,based on the controllable magnetic field experiment via in situ transmission electron microscopy,the association between magnetic response and microstructure is first present at the nanometer-level.The real and imaginary parts of relative complex permeability are determined by the domain migration confined inside Co nanochain and the magnetic flux field surrounded outside Co nanochain,respectively.Importantly,these findings can be extended to the novel design of microwave absorbers and promising candidates of magnetic carriers based on 1D structure.Wenbin You Ke Pei Liting Yang Xiao Li Xiaofeng Shi Xuefeng Yu Huiqiao Guo Renchao Che 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:0
13Landscape changes and their ecological eff ects of Miaodao Archipelago with human disturbances and under natural conditions in the past 30 years显示文摘The modern landscape patterns of islands usually show obvious spatial heterogeneity and complex ecological effects due to the vulnerability of ecosystems with natural characteristics under increasing human activities.In this work,we studied the variation in landscape pattern of the Miaodao Archipelago in Bohai Sea,North China,from 1990 to 2019,and an evaluation index system was established to explore the impacts of natural conditions and human disturbances on the ecological effects in the pressure-state-response(PSR)framework.Empirical analysis was conducted on the natural conditions,human disturbances,and ecological effects.The results show that forest was the main component of the landscape pattern in the archipelago.Both of the areas offorest and construction land were increasing,and the areas of cropland and grassland were declining.Other landscape types changed slightly,and the landscape fragmentation was increasing.The natural condition exhibited positive effects while human disturbance showed negative effects on the local ecology.Human disturbances come mainly from shoreline use while the natural conditions were mainly from the elevation change.The ecological effects were resulted mainly from the net primary productivity and water yield.Honghua SHI Liting YIN Meng GAO 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,3:0

15Understanding the separator pore size inhibition effect on lithium dendrite via phase-field simulations显示文摘Dendrite growth in lithium-ion batteries may bring thermal run-away especially at high current densities,which remains the major bottleneck to implement safe and fast charging for portable electronic devices or electronical vehicles.Designing dendrite inhibition separators with proper pore size is considered to be one of the most promising strategies to guarantee the battery safety.However,due to the impossible observation of lithium-ion distribution under separator by experiments,the underlying dendrite inhibition mechanism is still not fully understood.Here,we apply the phase-field model,which takes the separator phase into account to construct the electrochemical system total free energy,to study the ion re-distribution behavior of porous separator and understand the pore size inhibition effect on lithium dendrite.The numerical results indicate that separator with smaller pore size is beneficial to smoother electrodeposition,since the lithium-ion concentration on the electrode surface is more uniform under denser separator pores,when their sizes is larger than the critical nucleus.The proposed model could capture the physicochemical process of electrodeposition under multiphase structures,so it could also be used to explore dendrite growth under composite electrodes and composite solid electrolytes.Yajie Li Geng Zhang Bin Chen Wei Zhao Liting Sha Da Wang Jia Yu Siqi Shi 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:0
16Isolation and phylogenetic analysis of feline calicivirus strains from various region of China显示文摘Feline calicivirus(FCV)is an important feline pathogen mainly causing upper respiratory tract disease,conjunctivitis,and stomatitis,and it is classifed into genotype I and genotype II.To investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics of FCV,this study collected 337 cat swab samples from animal hospitals in diferent regions of China from 2019 to 2021.The positive detection rate of FCV was 29.9%(101/337)by RT-PCR.Statistical analysis showed that FCV prevalence was signifcantly associated with living environment(p=0.0004),age(p=0.031)and clinical symptoms(p=0.00),but not with sex(p=0.092)and breed(p=0.171).The 26 strains of FCV were isolated using F81 cells.Phylogenetic analysis showed that 10 isolates belonged to genotype I,and 16 isolates belonged to genotype II.These 26 isolates were highly genetically diverse,of which HB7 isolate had three same virulence-related amino acid loci with VSD strains.Potential loci distinguishing diferent genotypes were identifed from 26 isolates,suggesting the genetic relationship between diferent genotypes.In addition,selection pressure analysis based on capsid protein of 26 isolates revealed that the protein is under diversifying selection.This study reveals the genetic diversity of FCV and provides a reference for the screening of vaccine candidate strains and the development of vaccines with better cross-protection efects.Longlong Cao Qiuyan Li Kaituo Shi Liting Wei Hehao Ouyang Zijun Ye Wenguang Du Jiawen Ye Xiaochen Hui Jiakang Li Shengbo Cao Dengyuan Zhou 2022Animal Diseases2022,2,3:0

18Assessment of Intracardiac and Extracardiac Deformities in Patients with Various Types of Pulmonary Atresia by Dual-Source Computed Tomography显示文摘Background:Pulmonary atresia(PA)is a group of heterogeneous complex congenital heart disease.Only one study modality might not get a correct diagnosis.This study aims to investigate the diagnostic power of dualsource computed tomography(DSCT)for all intracardiac and extracardiac deformities in patients with PA compared with transthoracic echocardiography(TTE).Materials and Methods:This retrospective study enrolled 79 patients and divided them into three groups according to their main diagnosis.All associated malformations and clinical information,including treatments,were recorded and compared among the three groups.The diagnostic power of DSCT and TTE on all associated malformations were compared.The surgical index(McGoon ratio,pulmonary arterials index(PAI),and total neopulmonary arterial index)and radiation dose were calculated on the basis of DSCT.Results:Of the patients,32,30,and 17 were divided into the groups of PA with ventricular septal defect(VSD),PA with VSD and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries,and PA with other major malformations,respectively.Consequently,182,162,and 13 intracardiac,extracardiac,and other major malformations were diagnosed,respectively.Moreover,DSCT showed a better diagnostic performance in extracardiac deformities(154 vs.117,p<0.001),whereas TTE could diagnose intracardiac deformities better(159 vs.139,p=0.001).The McGoon ratio,PAI,and treatment methods were significantly different among the three groups(p=0.014,p=0.008,and p=0.018,respectively).Conclusion:More than one imaging modality should be used to make a correct diagnosis when clinically suspecting PA.DSCT is superior to TTE in diagnosing extracardiac deformities and could be used to roughly calculate surgical indices to optimize treatment strategy.Wenlei Qian Xinzhu Zhou Ke Shi Li Jiang Xi Liu Liting Shen Zhigang Yang 2023Congenital Heart Disease2023,18,1:0
