| 3 | A new discrete Fourier transform randomness test显示文摘The randomness of random number generators(RNGs) is important for the reliability of cryptographic systems since the outputs of RNGs are usually utilized to construct cryptographic parameters.Statistical tests are employed to evaluate the randomness of the RNG outputs. The discrete Fourier transform(DFT) test is an important test item of the most popular statistical test suite NIST SP800-22. In the standard NIST DFT test and related improved studies, there exist accuracy and efficiency issues. First, the bit sequences generated by known good RNGs have a high probability to be rejected when the sequences are long or the sequence number is large, due to the deviation between the actual distribution of the test statistic values and the assumed normal distribution. Second, the long test time and high memory consumptions of the complex DFT test algorithm also affect its practicability. To solve these problems, we propose a new DFT test method for long sequences(106 or more bits). Different from the previous DFT test methods focusing on making the distribution of the test statistic values closer to the normal distribution, we reconstruct the statistic to follow the chi-square distribution. Our experiment result shows that our method has higher reliability in the two-level test, and could effectively reduce the test time and the memory consumptions.When applying our method on randomness test, the test efficiency has been increased to about 4 times for 106-bit sequences and 7 times for 107-bit sequences. | 4 | Fault Analysis on a New Block Cipher DBlock with at Most Two Fault Injections显示文摘DBlock is a new family of block ciphers proposed by Wu et al. in Science China in 2015, which consists of three variants specified as DBlock-128/192/256.DBlock-n employs a 20-round Feistel-type structure with n-bit block size and n-bit key size. We propose the first fault analysis on DBlock and show that no more than 2 pairs of correct/faulty ciphertexts are needed to retrieve the master key. In the attack, a byte-oriented fault is injected in round 16, and three properties including differential distribution of the Sbox, bijection nature of the linear function and Feistel-type key scheduling are fully utilized to distinguish between the correct and wrong keys. A fault position guessing strategy based on known intermediates is adopted, which efficiently makes the known-fault attack apply to the random fault model. The experimental results show that, with a pair of ciphertexts, 11.820-bit exhaustive search is needed to derive the whole 128-bit key on average. | 5 | Investigation of ion-atom collision dynamics through imaging techniques显示文摘The principle and technique details of recoil ion momentum imaging are discussed and summarized. The recoil ion momentum spectroscopy built at the Institute of Modern Physics (Lanzhou) is presented. The first results obtained at the setup are analyzed. For 30 keV He2+ on He collision, it is found that the capture of single electron occurs dominantly into the first excited states, and the related scattering angle results show that the ground state capture occurs at large impact parameters, while the capture into excited states occurs at small impact parameters. The results manifest the collision dynamics for the sub-femto-second process can be studied through the techniques uniquely. | 10 | Sequence-Oriented Stochastic Model of RO-TRNGs for Entropy Evaluation显示文摘Ring oscillator-based true random number generators(RO-TRNGs) are widely used to generate unpredictable random numbers for cryptographic systems.Entropy is usually adopted to quantitatively measure the unpredictability of a TRNG. There have been several stochastic models such as the time-oriented and phaseoriented ones built to evaluate the entropy of ElementaryRO-TRNGs with single oscillator. However, these models are not suitable for the TRNGs composed of multiple oscillators(Multiple-RO-TRNGs), which can obtain more randomness and higher throughput. Considering this,we propose a sequence-oriented stochastic model for the entropy evaluation of RO-TRNGs, named the first-order stationary Markov source model. This model is extensible for the Multiple-RO-TRNGs. Based on that, we present a detailed method to determine the entropy of Multiple-ROTRNGs.
