Porous Si_3N_4 Ceramics Prepared by TBA-based Gel-casting显示文摘In this work, the effects of ratio of monomer to cross-linker(AM/MBAM) and solid loading on the microstructure and mechanical properties of porous Si3N4 ceramics prepared by tert-butyl alcohol(TBA)-based gel-casting process were investigated. It was found that, when the ratio of monomer to crosslinker was 8, and the solid loading was 50 wt%, the mechanical properties of sintered samples were the most excellent, which resulted from the uniform pore size distribution and well-grown rod-like bSi3N4 grains. In that case, the porosity and flexural strength of sintered samples were 50% and 125 MPa,respectively.Liuyuan Li Hongjie Wang Shaochang Su 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,3:3

Structure stability and configuration evolution of Al_n(n=3, 4, 6, 13, 19) clusters显示文摘Using a first-principles pseudo-potential plane wave method, the geometrical and electronic structures of Aln (n=3, 4, 6, 13, 19) clusters with different configurations have been calculated. Several parameters such as the binding energy Eb and the HOMO-LUMO energy gap ?EH-L have been adopted to characterize and analyze the structure stability of these clusters, and their configuration evolutions are also investigated by linear synchronous transit (LST) method. It is demonstrated that the stable configura- tions of Al3, Al4, Al6, Al13, Al19 clusters are triangle, rhombus, octahedron, icosahedron and double icosahedron, respectively. For Al6 and Al19 clusters there are metastable structures of parallelogram and octahedron, respectively, whereas in the Al3, Al4 and Al13 clusters, no metastable configuration is validated. There exist a large energy gap and a low energy barrier between the octahedron and the parallelogram of the Al6 cluster, so the transfor- mation from its metastable to stable structures is rather easy. By contrast, a small energy gap and a high energy barrier between the stable and metastable structures of Al19 cluster mean its configuration evolution from the octahedron to the double icosahedron occurs hardly, therefore the metastable octahedron configuration of Al19 cluster can be extensively detected in experiments and simulations.PENG Ping LI Guifa ZHENG Caixing HAN Shaochang LIU Rangsu 2006Science China(Technological Sciences)2006,49,4:1

Bonding Strength of Ni/Ni3Al Interface with Different Lattice Misfit显示文摘The interfacial binding covalent bond density (CBD) and the local environmental total bond order (LTBO) of the Ni/Ni3Alinterface with different lattice misfits (δ) were calculated by using first-principles discrete variation Xα method. It was foundthat the effects of lattice misfits on the electronic structures of incoherent Ni/Ni3Al interface were very obvious. On one hand, less than -0.6% negative lattice misfit can promote the binding strength of γ/γ′ interface. On the other hand, the totalbonding strength of γ/γ′ interface decreases with increasing δ. Therefore, the magnitude and sign of lattice misfit must becarefully controlled for balancing the high temperature creep strength of Ni-base single crystal superalloy and the structuralstability of γ/γ′interface when one designs a new Ni-base single crystal superalloy.Ping PENG Caixing ZHENG Shaochang HAN Zhaohui JIN Rui YANG Zhuangqi HU 2003Journal of Materials Science & Technology2003,19,z1:0
Improving antibody affinity through in vitro mutagenesis in complementarity determining regions显示文摘High-affinity antibodies are widely used in diagnostics and for the treatment of human diseases. However, most antibodies are isolated from semi-synthetic libraries by phage display and do not possess in vivo affinity maturation, which is triggered by antigen immunization. It is therefore necessary to engineer the affinity of these antibodies by way of in vitro assaying. In this study,we optimized the affinity of two human monoclonal antibodies which were isolated by phage display in a previous related study. For the 42A1 antibody, which targets the liver cancer antigen glypican-3,the variant T57H in the second complementarity-determining region of the heavy chain(CDR-H2)exhibited a 2.6-fold improvement in affinity,as well as enhanced cell-binding activity. For the I4A3 antibody to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,beneficial single mutations in CDR-H2 and CDR-H3 were randomly combined to select the best synergistic mutations.Among these, the mutation S53P-S98T improved binding affinity(about 3.7 fold)and the neutralizing activity(about 12 fold)compared to the parent antibody.Taken together, single mutations of key residues in antibody CDRs were enough to increase binding affinity with improved antibody functions. The mutagenic combination of key residues in different CDRs creates additive enhancements. Therefore, this study provides a safe and effective in vitro strategy for optimizing antibody affinity.Wei Ye Xiaoyu Liu Ruiting He Liming Gou Ming Lu Gang Yang Jiaqi Wen Xufei Wang Fang Liu Sujuan Ma Weifeng Qian Shaochang Jia Tong Ding Luan Sun Wei Gao 2022The Journal of Biomedical Research2022,36,3:0
A study of function mechanism of hemxamethyl tetra-amine in gelation process of uranium显示文摘The UO2 ceramic microspheres are the most important materials in the spherical fuel elements for high temperature reactor (HTR). A process for preparation of UO2 kernels known as total gelation process of uranium (TGU) was developed as the production process of 10 mW HTR at Tsinghua University. The TGU process is based on the traditional sol-gel process, external gelation process and internal gelation process of uranium (EGU and IGU), which implies that the gelation action is initiated both by ammonia out of the gel particles and hemxamethyl tetra-amine (HMTA) inside the gel particles. The gelation behavior and the properties of uranium microspheres were investigated of the solution with and without HMTA. It is observed that good spherical particles can be obtained without HMTA in the sol, which indicates a more controllable and industrialized route will be set up. Contrasts between this route and the traditional EGU were also listed.GUO Wenli LIANG Tongxiang ZHAO Xingyu HAO Shaochang FU Xiaoming 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z1:0
Association between SLC17A7 gene polymorphisms and venlafaxine for major depressive disorder in a Chinese Han population:a prospective pharmacogenetic case-control study显示文摘Objective: Venlafaxine is a common antidepressant and its therapeutic effect varies among people with different genetic backgrounds. The aim of this study was to investigate whether single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in theSLC17A7 gene are associated with the treatment outcome of venlafaxine in a Chinese Han population with major depressive disorder. Methods: This prospective pharmacogenetic case-control study that involved genotyping of four SNPs ofSLC17A7 was conducted on 175 major depressive disorder patients of Chinese Han origin, aged 18 to 65 years, participated in the study from April 2005 to September 2006. Comparisons of allele and genotype frequencies of all SNPs were performed between the responder/remission group and the nonresponder/nonremission group. This study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Sichuan University (approval No. 20151112-265).Results: The allele and genotype frequencies of the four candidate SNPs inSCL17A7 showed no significant difference between responders and nonresponders. Meanwhile, no significant difference was detected in the four investigatedSLC17A7 SNPs between patients who did and did not exhibit remission. Although one of the investigatedSLC17A7 variants (rs1578944) demonstrated a significant association (P=0.022) with a response to venlafaxine after 6 weeks of treatment in the survival analysis, the association was unclear after a Bonferroni multiple comparisons test was conducted. Conclusion: No significant association exists between the four candidate SNPs (rs1043558, rs1320301, rs1578944, and rs74174284) inSLC17A7 and venlafaxine treatment in the Chinese Han population.Liangile Liu Decheng Ren Fan Yuan Yan Bi Zhenming Guo Gaini Ma Fei Xu Binyin Hou Lei Ji Zhixuan Chen Lin An Naixin Zhang Tao Yu Xingwang Li Fengping Yang Xueli Sun Zaiquan Dong Shunying Yu Zhenghui Yi Yifeng Xu Lin He Shaochang Wu Longyou Zhao Changqun Cai Guang He Yi Shi 2021Journal of Bio-X Research2021,4,3:0
Preparing UO_2 kernels by gelcasting显示文摘A process named gel-casting has been developed for the production of dense UO2 kernels for the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor.Compared with the sol-gel process, the green microspheres can be got by dispersing the U3O8 slurry in gelcasting process, which means that gelcasting is a more facilitative process with less waste in fabricating UO2 kernels. The UO2 kernels with the size of 500 μm,O/U≤2.01,density of 10.70 g·cm-3 were obtained by gel-casting process followed by heat treatment.GUO Wenli LIANG Tongxiang ZHAO Xingyu HAO Shaochang LI Chengliang 2009Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,2:0
Impact of twice-a-day transcranial direct current stimulation intervention on cognitive function and motor cortex plasticity in patients with Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Background Non-invasive brain stimulation has improved cognitive functions in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD),and some studies suggest a close relationship between cognition and plasticity. However, the clinical benefits of transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS)in patients still need to be evaluated.Aims This study examined the role of tDCS in improving cognition and whether the improved cognition is related to altered cortical plasticity. Methods 124 patients with AD were randomly assigned to active tDCS(n=63)or sham tDCS(n=61).The tDCS was applied at the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex for 30 treatment sessions across 6 weeks(5 days per week,2 days off). The Mini-Mental State Examination and the Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive(ADAS-Cog)were used for cognition evaluation at baseline, week 2 and week 6.The cortical plasticity was represented by motor-evoked potential(MEP)measured with an electromyogram. Results The results showed thatmultiplecourses of active tDcS can improve the cognitive functions of patients with AD,especially in the memory domain(word recall, recall of test instructions and word recognition). In addition, the damaged MEP level was enhanced following active treatment. In the active tDCS group, the improvements in ADAS-Cog total and subitem(word recall and word recognition)scores were negatively correlated with the enhancement of MEP.Conclusions Our research indicates for the first time that twice-a-day tDS may improve the cognitive function of patients with AD.This study also suggests that cognitive dysfunction may be related to impaired cortical plasticity, which warrants mechanistic investigations of the relationship between cognition and plasticity in the future.Xingxing Li Lei Chen Kunqiang Yu Wenhao Zhuang Hui Zhu Wenqiang Xu Hui Yan Gangqiao Qi Dongsheng Zhou Shaochang Wu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,6:0
High frequency strong current tACS:a new dawn of non-drug therapy for patients with major depressive disorder显示文摘A commentary on:Transcranial alternating current stimulation for treating depression:a randomized controlled trial.By Wang H,Wang K,Xue Q,et al.Brain.2022;1451:83-91.doi:10.1093/brain/awab252.Major depressive disorder(MDD)is a common severe mental illness with recurring episodes. The most commonly used treatment is drug therapy, which is associated with a series of side effects and has an efficacy rate below 50%.1 Non-invasive brain stimulation technique has been gradually applied in clinical practice.Transcranial alternating current stimulation(tACS),a form of non-invasive brain stimulation,is a light, wearable piece of equipment for cortical stimulation. It modulates cortical excitability and spontaneous brain activity by applying an electric current to the scalp.Linling Hu Xingxing Li Dongsheng Zhou Shaochang Wu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,6:0
