3Wentzel-Kramer-Brillouin and finite-difierence time-domain analysis of Terahertz band electromagnetic characteristics of target coated with unmagnetized plasma显示文摘We investigate computationally the attenuation and reffection of Terahertz (THz) wave using targets coated with plasmas. The simulators are the Wentzel-Kramer-Brillouin (WKB) method and finite-difierence time-domain (FDTD) method. The relation between the frequency of the incident electromagnetic (EM) wave and the attenuation caused by unmagnitized plasma is analyzed. The results demonstrate that the amount of absorbed power is a decreasing function of the EM wave frequency and the plasma collision frequency. For THz band incident wave, the attenuation that is caused by plasma is small when the plasma has common density and the collision frequency. 4Piecewise linear recursive convolution FDTD method for magnetized plasmas显示文摘The piecewise linear recursive convolution (PL RC) finite-different time-domain (FDTD) method greatly improves accuracy over the original recursive convolution (RC) FDTD approach but retains its speed and efficiency advantages. A PLRC-FDTD formulation for magnetized plasma which incorporates both anisotropy and frequency dispersion at the same time is presented, enabled the transient analysis of magnetized plasma media. The technique is illustrated by numerical simulations the reflection and transmission coefficients through a magnetized plasma layer. 6Geochronological and geochemical constraints on the petrogenesis of late Mesoproterozoic mafic and granitic rocks in the southwestern Yangtze Block显示文摘Late Mesoproterozoic igneous rocks in the SW Yangtze Block are important for understanding the role of it in reconstruction of the Rodinia supercontinent.In the present study,we report new geochronological,geochemical,and Nd-Hf isotopic data for the Cuoke plagioclase amphibolites and granites in the SW Yangtze Block.Geochronological results show that the plagioclase amphibolites and granites have similar late Mesoproterozoic zircon U-Pb ages of 1168-1162 Ma,constituting a bimodal igneous assemblage.The plagioclase amphibolites have high and variable TiO2 contents(1.15-4.30 wt.%)and Mg#(34-66)values,similar to the tholeiitic series.They are characterized by enrichment in LREEs and LILEs,and have OIB-like affinities with positive Nb and Ta anomalies.The plagioclase amphibolites have positive whole-rockεNd(t)(+3.2 to+4.3)and zirconεHf(t)(+4.3 to+10.7)values,indicating that they were derived from an OIB-like asthenospheric mantle source.The granites belong to the reduced peralkaline A-type series and have negativeεNd(t)value of-6.0 andεHf(t)values of-5.8 to-13.8,indicating a derivation from the partial melting of ancient mafic lower crust.In combination with the~1.05-1.02 Ga bimodal igneous assemblage in the SW Yangtze Block,we propose that the Cuoke 1168-1162 Ma igneous rocks were likely formed in a continental rift basin and argue against the existance of Grenvillian Orogen in the SW Yangtze Block during the late Mesoproterozoic.Guichun Liu Jing Li Xin Qian Qinglai Feng Wei Wang Guangyan Chen Shaobin Hu 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,1:3
7Geochronological and Geochemical Constraints on the Petrogenesis of Early Paleoproterozoic(2.40–2.32 Ga) Nb-Enriched Mafic Rocks in Southwestern Yangtze Block and Its Tectonic Implications显示文摘Recent geological survey has identified the Early Paleoproterozoic meta-mafic intrusions in the southwestern Yangtze Block.We present geochronological,whole-rock geochemical and Nd isotopic data for these meta-mafic rocks to better address the tectonic evolution of the Yangtze Block during the Early Paleoproterozoic Period.Geochronological data show that the meta-mafic rocks have zircon ages of 2 395-2 316 Ma.They have high TiO_2 contents of 1.40 wt.%-3.66 wt.% and Nb concentrations of 13.7 ppm-45.5 ppm,thus aregrouped as Nb-enriched mafic rocks.These mafic rocks are characterized by tholeiitic compositions with enrichment of LREEs and LILEs,and can be divided into two groups.Group 1 samples display E-MORB-like geochemical characteristics.Group 2 samples have positive ENd(t) values of 4.0-5.0.Geochemical data indicate that all meta-mafic rocks were likely derived from a depleted asthenospheric mantle.REE modeling indicates lower degree of partial melting for Group 2 samples(3%-10%) relative to Group 1 samples(15%-20%).Taking into account contemporaneous post-collisional granitoids in southwestern Yangtze Block,we propose that these meta-mafic rocks were formed in a post-collisional extension setting.These meta-mafic rocks can be compared with those in Africa,South America and Europe,and might be linked with the Arrowsmith orogenic belt.Guichun Liu Xin Qian Jing Li Jian-Wei Zi Tianyu Zhao Qinglai Feng Guangyan Chen Shaobin Hu 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,1:3
8Location and size regulation of manganese oxides within mesoporous silica for enhanced antibiotic degradation显示文摘Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods,and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health.In present work,advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)are adopted to remove the antibiotic of sul-fachloropyridazine(SCP).Nanosized Mn_(2)O_(3) was fabricated on the SBA-15 material to catalytically acti-vate potassium peroxydisulfate(PDS)to generate reactive oxygen radicals of.OH and SO_(4).for SCP degradation.The effects of location and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) were explored through choosing either the as-made or template free SBA-15 as the precursor of substrate.Great influences from the site and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) on the oxidation activity were discovered.It was found that Mn_(2)O_(3) with a large size at the exterior of SBA-15(Mn-tfSBA)was slightly easier to degrade SCP at a low manganese loading of 1.0-2.0 mmol.g;however,complete SCP removal could only be achieved on the catalyst of Mn_(2)O_(3) with a refined size at the interior of SBA-15(Mn-asSBA).Moreover,the SO_(4).species were revealed to be the decisive radicals in the SCP degradation processes.Exploring the as-made mesoporous silica as a support provides a new idea for the further development of environmentally friendly catalysts.Min Lu Mengxuan Liu Chunli Xu Yu Yin Lei Shi Hong Wu Aihua Yuan Xiao-Ming Ren Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,8:3
9Li intercalation in an MoSe_(2) electrocatalyst:In situ observation and modulation of its precisely controllable phase engineering for a high-performance flexible Li-S battery显示文摘Sophisticated efficient electrocatalysts are essential to rectifying the shuttle effect and realizing the high performance of flexible lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs).Phase transformation of MoSe_(2) from the 2H phase to the 1T phase has been proven to be a significant method to improve the catalytic activity.However,precisely controllable phase engineering of MoSe_(2) has rarely been reported.Herein,by in situ Li ions intercalation in MoSe_(2),a precisely controllable phase evolution from 2H-MoSe_(2) to 1T-MoSe_(2) was realized.More importantly,the definite functional relationship between cut-off voltage and phase structure was first identified for phase engineering through in situ observation and modulation methods.The sulfur host(CNFs/1T-MoSe_(2))presents high charge density,strong polysulfides adsorption,and catalytic kinetics.Moreover,Li-S cells based on it display capacity retention of 875.3mAh g^(-1) after 500 cycles at 1 C and an areal capacity of 8.71mAh cm^(-2) even at a high sulfur loading of 8.47mg cm^(-2).Furthermore,the flexible pouch cell exhibiting decent performance will endow a promising potential in the wearable energy storage field.This study proposes an effective strategy to precisely control the phase structure of MoSe_(2),which may provide the reference to fabricate the highly efficient electrocatalysts for LSBs and other energy systems.Yunke Wang Yige Zhao Kangli Liu Shaobin Wang Neng Li Guosheng Shao Feng Wang Peng Zhang 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,2:2
10Genomic evidence of lung carcinogenesis associated with coal smoke in Xuanwei area, China显示文摘Xuanwei area, in southwestern China,harbors the highest female lung cancer rate in the country(Supplementary Table 1) [1]. Epidemiological studies have shown that lung cancer incidence in Xuanwei area is associated with the use of different types of local coal for household cooking and heating [2]. 12Auto-scalable and fault-tolerant load balancing mechanism for cloud computing based on the proof-of-work election显示文摘Load balancing mechanism in technologies such as cloud computing has provided a huge opportunity for the development of large-scale projects.Although the conventional view is to build mechanisms that adopt a dynamic load balancing strategy,existing strategies cannot automatically scale platform(network)servers(nodes)to adapt for dynamic requests,but only guarantee load balancing for the pre-deployed nodes,thereby increasing resource consumption and decreasing networks’efficiency.We contend that existing load balancing mechanisms are inadequate for deploying dynamic applications.In this regard,we first adopt both load balancing and cloud computing virtualization technologies to modularly design a load balancing mechanism that provides a dynamically auto-scalable solution for large-scale and dynamic computing scenarios.Furthermore,we adopt the proof-of-work consensus,for a novel use during the lifecycle of master nodes in case of system failure caused by a failed master node,to demonstrate a fault-tolerant load balancing mechanism.We theoretically evaluate the security requirement of our mechanism and analyze its performance.Experimental results show that the mechanism supports auto-scalability and has a better performance compared to existing mechanisms such as the ordinary cluster.Xiaoqin FENG Jianfeng MA Shaobin LIU Yinbin MIAO Ximeng LIU 2022Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,1:2
13Nitrogen-doped Carbon Nanospheres-Modified Graphitic Carbon Nitride with Outstanding Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Metals and metal oxides are widely used as photo/electro-catalysts for environmental remediation.However,there are many issues related to these metal-based catalysts for practical applications,such as high cost and detrimental environmental impact due to metal leaching.Carbon-based catalysts have the potential to overcome these limitations.In this study,monodisperse nitrogen-doped carbon nanospheres(NCs)were synthesized and loaded onto graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4,GCN)via a facile hydrothermal method for photocatalytic removal of sulfachloropyridazine(SCP).The prepared metal-free GCN-NC exhibited remarkably enhanced efficiency in SCP degradation.The nitrogen content in NC critically influences the physicochemical properties and performances of the resultant hybrids.The optimum nitrogen doping concentration was identified at 6.0 wt%.The SCP removal rates can be improved by a factor of 4.7 and 3.2,under UV and visible lights,by the GCN-NC composite due to the enhanced charge mobility and visible light harvesting.The mechanism of the improved photocatalytic performance and band structure alternation were further investigated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The DFT results confirm the high capability of the GCN-NC hybrids to activate the electron–hole pairs by reducing the band gap energy and efficiently separating electron/hole pairs.Superoxide and hydroxyl radicals are subsequently produced,leading to the efficient SCP removal.Qiaoran Liu Hao Tian Zhenghua Dai Hongqi Sun Jian Liu Zhimin Ao Shaobin Wang Chen Han Shaomin Liu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:2

15Isolation and characterization of a thermophilic Bacillus shackletonii K5 from a biotrickling filter for the production of polyhydroxybutyrate显示文摘Polyhydroxyalkanoates(PHAs) are aliphatic polyesters accumulated intracellularly by both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. However, compared to the PHAs of Gramnegative bacteria, few endotoxins(lipopolysaccharides, LPS), which would be co-purified with PHAs and cause immunogenic reactions, are found in the PHAs produced by Gram-positive bacteria. A thermophilic Gram-positive bacterium K5, which exhibited good growth and polyhydroxybutyrate(PHB)-accumulating ability, has been isolated and characterized from a biotrickling filter designed for the removal of NOx from flue gas in a coal-fired power plant in China. Based on the biochemical characterization and 16 S rRNA gene sequence(Genbank accession no. JX437933), the strain K5 has been identified as Bacillus shackletonii, which has rarely been reported in the literature, and this report is the first time that B. shackletonii has been found to accumulate PHB. The strain K5 was able to utilize glucose as carbon source to synthesize PHB at a broad range of temperatures(from 35 to 50 °C), and the ideal temperature was 45 °C. The strain K5 could effectively yield PHB of up to 69.9% of its cell dry weight(CDW)(2.28 g/L) in flask experiments employing glucose as carbon source at 45 °C, followed by 56.8% and 52.3% of its CDW when using sodium succinate and glycerol as carbon source, respectively.
