1High-yield preparation of robust gold nanoshells on silica nanorattles with good biocompatiblity显示文摘Although gold nanoshells are widely considered as one of the promising photothermal nanomaterials used for biomedicine, the high cost, low yield and poor stability severely limit their potential application in clinical trials.Herein, robust gold nanoshells on silica nanorattles(GSNs)were easily prepared in a high yield by an improved seedmediated method employing polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as a stabilizing and capping agent. The present method is very simple, effective and reproducible and can well control the growth process of gold nanoshells. The as-prepared GSNs have a narrow size distribution(<10 % in standard deviation). Furthermore, the utilization rate of Au in the solution used for the growth of gold nanoshells increases by 70 %than that in previous method. The resultant GSNs have a good structural stability after placing over 6 months due to the protection of PVP. More importantly, in vivo and in vitro toxic studies indicate that the GSNs have good biocompatibility. 3A Model for Agglomeration in Bio-fuel Fired Fluidized Bed显示文摘A mathematical model has been developed to describe the agglomeration process in bio-fuel fired fluidized bed combustor.Based on the balance mechanism of the adhesive force caused by liquid bonding between two particles and the breaking force induced by bubbles in the fluidized bed,the model considers modified Urbain model and chemical equilibrium calculations using FactSage modeling.This model prediction accounts for the evolvement of the adhesive and breaking forces,and clearly demonstrates that the different composition of ash,the increasing liquid phase matter and the fluidization velocity cause defluidization in fluidized bed.In this model,it is the first time to hypothesize that the bonding stress between two particles is proportional to mass fraction of liquid phase and inversely proportional to the diameter of particles and viscosity of liquid phase.The defluidization time calculated by this model shows good agreement with that from the experimental data.Shiyuan Li Linlin Shang Haipeng Teng Qinggang Lu 2010Journal of Thermal Science2010,19,5:2

5Development and Characterization of West Nile Virus Replicon Expressing Secreted Gaussia Luciferase显示文摘We developed a Gaussia luciferase (Gluc) reporter replicon of West Nile virus (WNV) and used it to quantify viral translation and RNA replication. The advantage of the Gluc replicon is that Gaussia luciferase is secreted into the culture medium from cells transfected with Gluc replicon RNA, and the medium can be assayed directly for luciferase activity. Using a known Flavivirus inhibitor (NITD008), we demonstrated that the Gluc-WNV replicon could be used for antiviral screening. 7A novel degradable injectable HLC-HPA hydrogel with antiinflammatory activity for biomedical materials:Preparation,characterization,in vivo and in vitro evaluation显示文摘In situ injectable hydrogels,which have great potential in tissue engineering,are characterized by simple preparation,minimal invasiveness and adaptation to complex shapes.However,injectable hydrogels have higher requirements for biocompatibility and safety due to their use in vivo implantation.Therefore,in this study,a human-like collagen(HLC)-based in situ gel-forming injectable HLC-HPA hydrogel was synthesized by combining the amino group of HLC with the carboxyl group of HPA activated using 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-carbodiimide hydrochloride(EDC)and N-hydroxysuccinimide(NHS),followed by crosslinking by horseradish peroxidase(HRP)and H_2O_2,and used as scaffold material for tissue engineering.The hydrogel stiffness,gel time and biodegradation rate could be easily and independently adjusted by varying the H_2O_2 and HRP concentrations.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)clarified the homogeneous porous and interconnected internal structures of the hydrogel.In vitro cell viability and in vivo degradation experiments confirmed that the HLC-HPA hydrogel had good biodegradability and excellent biocompatibility.Interestingly,in cultured macrophages,the HLC-HPA hydrogel showed anti-inflammatory activity by reducing the amount of the pro-inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)and increasing the secretion of the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10(IL-10)induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Meanwhile,in animal experiments,HLC-HPA hydrogels exhibit excellent biocompatibility and have properties of hemostasis and reduction of inflammatory response.Therefore,the HLC-HPA hydrogel prepared in this study has great potential for development for use in the biomedical field.GAO Shang QU LinLin ZHU ChenHui OUYANG PingKai FAN DaiDi 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:1
8Rhizobacteria helps to explain the enhanced efficiency of phytoextraction strengthened by Streptomyces pactum显示文摘The ultimate purpose of phytoextraction is not only to remove heavy metals from soil but also to improve soil quality.Here, we evaluated how the joint effect of Streptomyces pactum(strain Act12) and inorganic(Hoagland’s solution) and organic(humic acid and peat) nutrients affected the phytoextraction practice of cadmium(Cd) and zinc(Zn) by potherb mustard, and the microbial community composition within rhizosphere was also investigated.The results indicated that the nutrients exerted synergistically with Act12, all increasing the plant biomass and Cd/Zn uptakes.The inoculation of Act12 alone significantly increased dehydrogenase activity of rhizosphere soil(P<0.05), while urease and alkaline phosphatase activities varied in different dosage of Act12.Combined application of microbial strain with nutrients increased enzymatic activities with the elevated dosage of Act12.16S ribosomal RNA high-throughput sequencing analysis revealed that Act12 inoculation reduced the diversity of rhizosphere bacteria.The Act12 and nutrients did not change dominant phyla i.e.,Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Gemmatimonadetes, Actinobacteria and Acidobacteria, but their relative abundance differed among the treatments with: Peat>Act12>Humic acid >Hoagland’s solution.Comparatively, Sphingomonas replaced Thiobacillus as dominant genus after Act12 application.The increase in the Sphingomonas and Flavisolibacter abundances under Act12 and nutrients treatments gave rise to growth-promoting effect on plant.Our results revealed the important role for rhizosphere microbiota in mediating soil biochemical traits and plant growth, and our approach charted a path toward the development of Act12 combined with soil nutrients to enhance soil quality and phytoextraction efficiency in Cd/Zn-contaminated soils.Linlin Wang NinaWang Di Guo Zhengzheng Shang Yiying Zhang Song Liu Yuheng Wang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3:0
9Synergy mechanism of defect engineering in MoS_(2)/FeS_(2)/C heterostructure for high-performance sodium-ion battery显示文摘MoS_(2) is a promising anode material in sodium-ion battery technologies for possessing high theoretical capacity.However,the sluggish Na^(+) diffusion kinetics and low electronic conductivity hinder the promises.Herein,a unique MoS_(2)/FeS_(2)/C heterojunction with abundant defects and hollow structure(MFCHHS)was constructed.The synergy of defect engineering in MoS_(2),FeS_(2),and the carbon layer of MFCHHS with a larger specific surface area provides multiple storage sites of Na^(+)corresponding to the surface-controlled process.The MoS_(2)/FeS_(2)/C heterostructure and rich defects in MoS_(2) and carbon layer lower the Na^(+) diffusion energy barrier.Additionally,the construction of MoS_(2)/FeS_(2) heterojunction promotes electron transfer at the interface,accompanying with excellent conductivity of the carbon layer to facilitate reversible electrochemical reactions.The abundant defects and mismatches at the interface of MoS_(2)/FeS_(2) and MoS_(2)/C heterojunctions could relieve lattice stress and volume change sequentially.As a result,the MFCHHS anode exhibits the high capacity of 613.1 mA h g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1) and 306.1 mA h g^(-1) at 20 A g^(-1).The capacity retention of 85.0%after 1400 cycles at 5.0 A g^(-1) is achieved.The density functional theory(DFT)calculation and in situ transmission electron microscope(TEM),Raman,ex-situ X-ray photon spectroscopy(XPS)studies confirm the low volume change during intercalation/deintercalation process and the efficient Na^(+)storage in the layered structure of MoS_(2) and carbon layer,as well as the defects and heterostructures in MFCHHS.We believe this work could provide an inspiration for constructing heterojunction with abundant defects to foster fast electron and Na^(+) diffusion kinetics,resulting in excellent rate capability and cycling stability.Linlin Ma Xiaomei Zhou Jun Sun Pan Zhang Baoxiu Hou Shuaihua Zhang Ningzhao Shang Jianjun Song Hongjun Ye Hui Shao Yongfu Tang Xiaoxian Zhao 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,7:0
10Agglomeration Characteristics of River Sand and Wheat Stalk Ash Mixture at High Temperatures显示文摘The agglomeration characteristics of river sand and wheat stalk ash mixture at various temperatures are investigated using a muffle furnace. The surface structural changes, as well as the elemental makeup of the surface and cross-section of the agglomerates, are analyzed by polarized light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). Multi-phase equilibrium calculation is performed with FactSage in identifying the melting behavior of the river sand-wheat stalk ash mixture at high temperatures. No indication of agglomeration is detected below 850°C. At a temperature of 900-1000°C, however, obvious agglomeration is observed and the agglomerates solidify further as temperature increases. The presence of potassium and calcium enrichment causes the formation of a sticky sand surface that induces agglomeration. The main component of the agglomerate surface is K_2O-CaO-SiO_2, which melts at low temperatures. The formation of molten silicates causes particle cohesion. The main ingredient of the binding phase in the cross-section is K_2O-SiO_2-Na_2O-Al_2O_3-CaO; the agglomeration is not the result of the melting behavior of wheat stalk ash itself but the comprehensive results of chemical reaction and the melting behavior at high temperatures. 11Haplotype variation and KASP markers for SiPSY1-A key gene controlling yellow kernel pigmentation in foxtail millet显示文摘Carotenoid biosynthesis and accumulation are important in determining nutritional and commercial value of crop products.Yellow pigmentation of mature kernels caused by carotenoids is considered a vital quality trait in foxtail millet,an ancient and widely cultivated cereal crop across the world.Genomic regions associated with yellow pigment content(YPC),lutein and zeaxanthin in foxtail millet grains were identified by genome-wide association analysis(GWAS),and SiPSY1(Phytoene synthase 1 which regulates formation of the 40-carbon backbone of carotenoids)was confirmed as the main contributor to all three components by knockout and overexpression analysis.SiPSY1 was expressed in seedlings,leaves,panicles,and mature seeds,and was subcellularly localized to chloroplasts.Transcription of SiPSY1 in 15 DAP immature grains was responsible for YPC in mature seeds.Selection of SiPSY1 combined with increased YPC in mature grains during domestication of foxtail millet was confirmed.Haplotype analysis suggested that expression level of SiPSY1 could be a selection target for future breeding programs,and a KASP marker was developed for selection of favorable SiPSY1 alleles in breeding.The results of this work will benefit nutritional and commercial improvement of foxtail millet varieties,as well as other cereal crops.Rongjun Zuo Yanyan Zhang Yanbing Yang Chunfang Wang Hui Zhi Linlin Zhang Sha Tang Yanan Guan Shunguo Li Ruhong Cheng Zhonglin Shang Guanqing Jia Xianmin Diao 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,6:0
12A benchmark city for seismic resilience assessment显示文摘The concept of seismic resilience has received significant attention from academia and industry during the last two decades. Different frameworks have been proposed for seismic resilience assessment of engineering systems at different scales(e.g., buildings, bridges, communities, and cities). Testbeds including Centerville virtual community(CVC), Memphis testbed(MTB), and the virtual city of Turin, Italy(VC-TI) have been developed during the last decade. However, the resilience assessment results of Chinese cities still require calibration based on a unified evaluation model. Therefore, a geographic information system(GIS)-based benchmark model of a medium-sized city located in the southeastern coastal region of China was developed. The benchmark city can be used to compare existing assessment frameworks and calibrate the assessment results. The demographics, site conditions, and potential hazard exposure of the benchmark city, as well as land use and building inventory are described in this paper. Data of lifeline systems are provided, including power, transportation, water, drainage, and natural gas distribution networks, as well as the locations of hospitals, emergency shelters, and schools. Data from past earthquakes and the literature were obtained to develop seismic fragility models, consequence models, and recovery models, which can be used as basic data or calibration data in the resilience assessment process. To demonstrate the completeness of the data included in the benchmark city, a case study on the accessibility of emergency rescue after earthquakes was conducted, and the preliminary results were discussed. 13Design and Construction of 3D Porous Na3V2(PO4)3/C as High Performance Cathode for Sodium Ion Batteries显示文摘An easy and delicate approach using cheap carbon source as conductive materials to construct 3D sequential porous structural Na3V2(PO4)3/C(NVP/C)with high performance for cathode materials of sodium ion battery is highly desired.In this paper,the NVP/C with 3D sequential porous structure is constructed by a delicate approach named as“cooking porridge”including evaporation and calcination stages.Especially,during evaporation,the viscosity of NVP/C precursor is optimized by controlling the adding quantity of citric acid,thus leading to a 3D sequential porous structure with a high specific surface area.Furthermore,the NVP/C with a 3D sequential porous structure enables the electrolyte to interior easily,providing more active sites for redox reaction and shortening the diffusion path of electron and sodium ion.Therefore,benefited from its unique structure,as cathode material of sodium ion batteries,the 3D sequential porous structural NVP/C exhibits high specific capacities(115.7,88.9 and 74.4 mA·h/g at current rates of 1,20 and 50 C,respectively)and excellent cycling stability(107.5 and 80.4 mA·h/g are remained at a current density of 1 C after 500 cycles and at a current density of 20 C after 2200 cycles,respectively).HoU Baoxiu MA Linlin ZANG Xiaohuan SHANG Ningzhao SONG Jianmin ZHAO Xiaoxian WANG Chun QI Jian WANG Jiangyan YU Ranbo 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,2:0
