1A fractal study for nucleate pool boiling heat transfer of nanofluids显示文摘In this paper, a fractal model for nucleate pool boiling heat transfer of nanofluids is developed based on the fractal distribution of nanoparticles and nucleation sites on boiling surfaces. The model shows the dependences of the heat flux on nanoparticle size and the nanoparticle volume fraction of the suspension, the fractal dimension of the nanoparticle and nucleation site, temperature of nanofluids and properties of fluids. The fractal model predictions show that the natural convection stage continues relatively longer in the case of nanofluids. The addition of nanoparticles causes a decrease of the pool nucleate boiling heat transfer. The nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coefficient is decreased by increasing particle concentration. An excellent agreement between the proposed model predictions and experimental data is found. 2Endothelial cells-targeted soluble human Delta-like 4 suppresses both physiological and pathological ocular angiogenesis显示文摘Due to its essential roles in angiogenesis, Notch pathway has emerged as an attractive target for the treatment of pathologic angiogenesis. Although both activation and blockage of Notch signal can impede angiogenesis, activation of Notch signal may be more promising because it was shown that long-term Notch signal blockage resulted in vessel neoplasm. However, an in vivo deliverable Notch ligand with highly efficient Notch-activating capacity has not been developed. Among all the Notch ligands, Delta-like4(Dll4) is specifically involved in angiogenesis. In this study, we generated a novel soluble Notch ligand h D4 R, which consists of the Delta-Serrate-Lag-2 fragment of human Dll4 and an arginine-glycine-aspartate(RGD) motif targeting endothelial cells(ECs). We demonstrated that h D4 R could bind to ECs through its RGD motif and effectively triggered Notch signaling in ECs. Further, we confirmed that h D4 R could suppress angiogenesis in vitro as manifested by network formation assay and sprouting assay. More importantly, h D4 R efficiently repressed neonatal retinal angiogenesis and laser-induced choroidal neovascularization(CNV) as well in vivo. 3Therapeutic effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and percutaneous injection of acetic acids on primary liver cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND: The resection rate of primary liver tumor in China is only about 20%. A lot of patients with moderate and advanced liver tumor may lose the chance of opera- tion. The objective of present research was to study the ef- ficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with percutaneous injection of chemical agents and acetic acids in the treatment of patients with primary liver cancer (PLC). METHODS: Thirty-three patients with middle and ad- vanced stage of PLC were divided into two groups: percu- taneous injection of chemical agents and acetic acids (15 patients, group A) and TACE (18 patients, group B). RESULTS: Tumor diameter and serum AFP level reduced to 86.6% and 83.3% in group A, and 55.5% and 40% in group B, respectively. There was significant difference be- tween the two groups ( P < 0 . 0 1 ) . The 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-year survival rates of group A were 96.7%, 86.6%, 51.3%, 33.3%, respectively and in group B were 66.7%, 44.4%, 16.7%, 0%, respectively (P<0.01). 4Fabrication and electrical characteristics of flash-sintered SiO_(2)-doped ZnO-Bi_(2)O_(3)-MnO_(2) varistors显示文摘The dense ZnO-Bi_(2)O_(3)-MnO_(2)(ZBMS)varistors for x=0,1,2,3 wt% were fabricated by flash sintering method under the low temperature of 850℃ within 2 min.The sample temperature was estimated by a black body radiation model in the flash sintering process.The crystalline phase assemblage,density,microstructure,and electrical characteristics of the flash-sintered ZBMS varistors with different SiO_(2)-doped content were investigated.According to the XRD analysis,many secondary phases were detected due to the SiO_(2) doping.Meanwhile,the average grain size decrease with increasing SiO_(2)-doped content.The improved nonlinear characteristics were obtained in SiO_(2)-doped samples,which can be attributed to the ion migration and oxygen absorption induced by the doped SiO_(2).The flash-sintered ZBMS varistor ceramics for x=2 wt% exhibited excellent comprehensive electrical properties,with the nonlinear coefficient of 24.5,the threshold voltage and leakage current of 385 V·mm^(-1 )and 11.8μA,respectively.Pai PENG Yujun DENG Jingpeng NIU Liyi SHI Yunzhu MEI Sanming DU Juan LIU Dong XU 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,6:3
5Effect of slope inclination on step friction coefficient of human being显示文摘Effect of slope inclination on step friction coefficient of human being was studied by gait friction tester developed by Henan University of Science and Technology.It is beneficial to improving the safety of human beings while walking on a ramp.Based on the trajectory of mass center of body(MCOB)and the mechanical analysis of human body while walking,conclusion could be drawn that the required step frictional coefficient(RSFC)exhibited an'M'shaped curve during the foot contacting with the ground and got its maximum and minimum values when MCOB of the subject was at the highest and lowest position respectively.Moreover,the first peak of RSFC decreases firstly and then increases,while the second peak of RSFC increases with the increase of slope inclination at the experimental condition.The position of pivotal point is decided by the relative size of slope inclination and the angle between the plumb line through MCOB and the line from foot to MCOB.ZHANG YongZhen JIA LiXiao PANG XianJuan NIU YongPing DU SanMing 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,12:3
6A hybrid genipin-crosslinked dual-sensitive hydrogel/nanostructured lipid carrier ocular drug delivery platform显示文摘The objective of this study was to develop a novel hybrid genipin-crosslinked dual-sensitive hydrogel/nanostructured lipid carrier(NLC) drug delivery platform. An ophthalmic antiinflammatory drug, baicalin(BN) was chosen as the model drug. BN –NLC was prepared using melt-emulsification combined with ultra-sonication technique. Additionally, a dual pH-and thermo-sensitive hydrogel composed of carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS) and poloxamer 407(F127) was fabricated by a cross-linking reaction with a nontoxic crosslinker genipin(GP). GP-CMCS/F127 hydrogel was characterized by FTIR, NMR, XRD and SEM. The swelling studies showed GP-CMCS/F127 hydrogel was both pH-and thermo-sensitive. The results of in vitro release suggested BN –NLC gel can prolong the release of baicalin comparing with BN eye drops and BN –NLC. Ex vivo cornea permeation study was evaluated using Franz diffusion cells. The apparent permeability coefficient(Papp) of BN –NLC gel was much higher(4.46-fold) than that of BN eye drops. Through the determination of corneal hydration levels, BN –NLC gel was confirmed that had no significant irritation to cornea. Ex vivo precorneal retention experiments were carried out by a flow-through approach. The results indicated that the NLC-based hydrogel can prolong precorneal residence time. 7Influence of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose,methylcellulose, gelatin, poloxamer 407 and poloxamer 188 on the formation and stability of soybean oil-in-water emulsions显示文摘Macromolecules of polysaccharides, proteins and poloxamers have a hydrophobic portion and a hydrophilic one that can be used as emulsifiers. Parts of these emulsifiers are safe pharmaceutical excipients, which can replace the irritant low molecular weight surfactants to formulate emulsions for the pharmaceutical field. This project focused on preparing O/W emulsions stabilized with polymers for pharmaceuticals such as polysaccharides, proteins and poloxamers, including hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), methylcellulose (MC),gelatin, poloxamer 407 (F127) and poloxamer 188 (F68). Emulsion physical stability was assessed by centrifugation, autoclaving sterilization and droplet size measurements. The stabilization mechanisms of emulsions were determined by interfacial tension and rheological measurements. 8Current sustained delivery strategies for the design of local neurotrophic factors in treatment of neurological disorders显示文摘Although therapeutic potential of neurotrophic factors(NTFs)has been well recognized for over two decades,attempts to translate that potential to the clinic have been disappointing,largely due to significant obstacles in delivery,including inadequate protein dose/kinetics released at target sites.Considerable efforts have been made to improve the therapeutic performance of NTFs.This articles reviews recent developments in localized delivery systems of NTFs for the neurological disorders treatments with a main focus on sustained delivery strategies.Different non-covalent binding approaches have been employed to immobilize proteins in hydrogels,microspheres,electrospun nanofibers,and their combined systems,which serve as depots for sustained local release of NTFs.The challenges associated with current NTFs delivery systems and how these systems can be applied to neurological diseases and disorders have been discussed in the review.In conclusion,optimal delivery systems for NTFs will be needed for reliable and meaningful clinical benefits;ideally,delivering a time and dose-controlled release of bioactive multiNTFs at different individual optimal kinetics to achieve multi-functions in target tissues is significant preferred.Hongzhuo Liu Yanyan Zhou Shichao Chen Meng Bu Jiayu Xin Sanming Li 2013Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,5:2
9Study on Mineralization Age of Xiaoban Gold Deposit, Fujian Province显示文摘The Xiaoban gold deposit is a large size deposit recently found in middle area of Fujian Province. It belongs to magmatic hydrothermal type occurred in Mayuan Group metamorphic rocks of Middle Proterozoic and is controlled by low angle fault (detachment) structures. The contents of Au in Mayuan Group metamorphic rocks, Caledonian Indosinian deformed granite and early Yanshanian granite are higher with Au enrichment coefficient of 2.06-5.68, 5.11 and 6.67 than those in other geological bodies. And the higher enrichment coefficients (>2) of Ag, S, Sn and Te are similar to those of gold ore. Meanwhile, the distribution of Au in Mayuan Group metamorphic rocks and early Yanshanian granite with a low D value (0.58 and 0.67) is favorable to gold mineralization. REE characteristics of gold ore, ratios of (LREE/HREE), (La/Sm) n, (Yb/Lu) n, (La/Tb) n and (Sm/Nd) n are similar to Mayuan Group metamorphic rocks, only non or little normal Eu abnormal of ore is dissimilar to metamorphic rocks. The δ ( 34 S) of the gold ore, with a high homogenization, is (-4.7×10 -3 )-(-2.7×10 -3 ). The study of inclusion indicates 180-249 ℃ of mineralization temperature, 3.69 %-11.81 % of salinities and 0.869-0.991 g/cm 3 of densities of mineralization fluid. Based on hydrogen and oxygen isotope ( δ ( 18 O)=11.0×10 -3 -11.7×10 -3 , δ (D)=(-48×10 -3 )-(-62×10 -3 )) and initial w ( 87 Sr)/ w ( 86 Sr) =0.715,combining to the analysis of geological history, regional metamorphism and magamtic activity, the authors confirm that the source for the ore fluid was mainly from magmatic, partly from metamorphic water, and with a little influence of meteoric water. Isotopic dating made on Rb Sr isochron age of 182 Ma, by using alteration minerals of gold ores from the deposit, indicates that the mineralization occurs in early Yanshanian epoch. This is close to the age of 187 Ma of the Anchun magmatite with a similar alteration and gold mineralization to the Xiaoban gold deposit. 10SbMYB3 transcription factor promotes root-specific f lavone biosynthesis in Scutellaria baicalensis显示文摘Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi produces abundant root-specific f lavones(RSFs),which provide various benefits to human health.We have elucidated the complete biosynthetic pathways of baicalein and wogonin.However,the transcriptional regulation of f lavone biosynthesis in S.baicalensis remains unclear.We show that the SbMYB3 transcription factor functions as a transcriptional activator involved in the biosynthesis of RSFs in S.baicalensis.Yeast one-hybrid and transcriptional activation assays showed that SbMYB3 binds to the promoter of flavone synthase II-2(SbFNSII-2)and enhances its transcription.In S.baicalensis hairy roots,RNAi of SbMYB3 reduced the accumulation of baicalin and wogonoside,and SbMYB3 knockout decreased the biosynthesis of baicalein,baicalin,wogonin,and wogonoside,whereas SbMYB3 overexpression enhanced the contents of baicalein,baicalin,wogonin,and wogonoside.Transcript profiling by qRT–PCR demonstrated that SbMYB3 activates SbFNSII-2 expression directly,thus leading to more abundant accumulation of RSFs.This study provides a potential target for metabolic engineering of RSFs.Yumin Fang Jie Liu Minmin Zheng Sanming Zhu Tianlin Pei Mengying Cui Lijing Chang Hanwen Xiao Jun Yang Cathie Martin Qing Zhao 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:2
11Biodegradable, Super-Strong, and Conductive Cellulose Macrofibers for Fabric-Based Triboelectric Nanogenerator显示文摘Electronic fibers used to fabricate wearable triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) for harvesting human mechanical energy have been extensively explored. However, little attention is paid to their mutual advantages of environmental friendliness, mechanical properties, and stability. Here, we report a super-strong, biodegradable, and washable cellulose-based conductive macrofibers, which is prepared by wet-stretching and wet-twisting bacterial cellulose hydrogel incorporated with carbon nanotubes and polypyrrole. The cellulose-based conductive macrofibers possess high tensile strength of 449 MPa(able to lift 2 kg weights), good electrical conductivity(~ 5.32 S cm^(-1)), and excellent stability(Tensile strength and conductivity only decrease by 6.7% and 8.1% after immersing in water for 1 day). The degradation experiment demonstrates macrofibers can be degraded within 108 h in the cellulase solution. The designed fabric-based TENG from the cellulose-base conductive macrofibers shows a maximum open-circuit voltage of 170 V, short-circuit current of 0.8 μA, and output power at 352 μW, which is capable of powering the commercial electronics by charging the capacitors. More importantly, the fabric-based TENGs can be attached to the human body and work as self-powered sensors to effectively monitor human motions.
