| 1 | Comparative study of CEA and CA19-9 in esophageal,gastric and colon cancers individually and in combination(ROC curve analysis)显示文摘Objective:To determine the clinical serum levels of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9),individually and in combination,for the diagnosis of 50 healthy subjects and 150 cases of esophageal,gastric,and colon cancers.Methods:The sensitivities of the two markers were compared individually and in combination,with specificity set at 100%.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves were plotted.Results:Serum CEA levels were significantly higher in cancer patients than in the control group.The sensitivity of CEA was determined:in esophageal cancer,sensitivity=28%,negative predictive value(NPV)=61.72%,and AUC=0.742(SE=0.05),with a significance level of P<0.0001;in gastric cancer,sensitivity=30%,NPV=58.82%,and AUC=0.734(SE=0.05),with a significance level of P<0.0001;in colon cancer,sensitivity=74%,NPV=79.36%,and AUC=0.856(SE=0.04),with a significance level of P<0.0001.The sensitivity of CA19-9 was also evaluated:in esophageal cancer,sensitivity=18%,NPV=54.94%,and AUC=0.573(SE=0.05),with a significance level of P=0.2054.In gastric cancer,sensitivity=42%,NPV=63.29%,and AUC=0.679(SE=0.05),with a significance level of P<0.0011.In colon cancer,sensitivity=26%,NPV=57.47%,and AUC=0.580(SE=0.05),with a significance level of P=0.1670.The following were the sensitivities of CEA/CA19-9 combined:in esophageal cancer,sensitivity=42%,NPV=63.29%,SE=0.078(95% CI:0.0159-0.322);gastric cancer,sensitivity=58%,NPV=70.42%,SE=0.072(95% CI:-0.0866-0.198);and colon cancer,sensitivity=72%,NPV=78.12%,SE=0.070(95% CI:0.137-0.415).Conclusion:CEA exhibited the highest sensitivity for colon cancer,and CA19-9 exhibited the highest sensitivity for gastric cancer.Combined analysis indicated an increase in diagnostic sensitivity in esophageal and gastric cancer compared with that in colon cancer. | Bhawna Bagaria Sadhna Sood Rameshwaram Sharma Soniya Lalwani | 2013 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2013，10，3： | 53 |
| 2 | Pancreatic endometrial cyst mimics mucinous cystic neoplasm of the pancreas显示文摘Pancreatic cysts include a variety of benign, premalignant, and malignant lesions. Endometrial cysts in the pancreas are exceedingly rare lesions that are difficult to diagnose pre-operatively. This report describes the findings in a 43-year-old patient with a recent episode of acute pancreatitis who presented with a large cyst in the tail of the pancreas. Imaging demonstrated a loculated pancreatic cyst, and cyst fluid aspiration revealed an elevated amylase and carcinoembryonic antigen. The patient experienced an interval worsening of abdominal pain, fatigue, diarrhea, and a 15-pound weight loss 3 mo after the initial episode of pancreatitis. With concern for a possible pre-malignant lesion, the patient underwent a laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy, which revealed a 16cm×12cm×4cm lesion. Final histopathology was consistent with an intra-pancreatic endometrial cyst. | 3 | Liver pathology of hepatitis C,beyond grading and stagingof the disease显示文摘Liver biopsy evaluation plays a critical role in management of patients with viral hepatitis C. In patients with acute viral hepatitis, a liver biopsy, though uncommonly performed, helps to rule out other nonviral causes of deranged liver function. In chronic viral hepatitis C, it is considered the gold standard in assessment of the degree of necroinflammation and the stage of fibrosis, to help guide treatment and determine prognosis. It also helps rule out any concomitant diseases such as steatohepatitis, hemochromatosis or others. In patients with chronic progressive liver disease with cirrhosis and dominant nodules, a targeted liver biopsy is helpful in differentiating a regenerative nodule from dysplastic nodule or hepatocellular carcinoma. In the setting of transplantation, the liver biopsy helps distinguish recurrent hepatitis C from acute rejection and also is invaluable in the diagnosis of fibrosing cholestatic hepatitis, a rare variant of recurrent hepatitis C. | 4 | 化学处理法对竹材阻燃、抗菌和防腐的影响(英文)显示文摘研究了6种用于印度勒竹防护的制剂,主要用于阻燃、防火防腐、抗真菌和白蚁的腐蚀。考察了阻燃剂和新型环保防腐剂ZiBOC用于印度勒竹防护的协同作用。将裂开的竹片用质量分数为15%的6种防护组分处理,即按照印度标准方法测试火焰穿透性、可燃性和燃烧率。6种15%质量分数的组分分别为:1.硫酸铵+磷酸铵+ZiBOC;2.硫酸铵+ZiBOC;3.磷酸铵+ZiBOC;4.磷酸镁+焦硫酸镁+ZiBOC;5.磷酸镁+ZiBOC;6.焦磷酸镁+ZiBOC。结果表明,达到防护目的的不同化学组分的防护剂用量应为9~11.5kg/m3。用白腐菌的腐烂实验表明,配方为2、3、5和6的防护剂表现出较好的防腐作用(防护率达到95%,p〈0.05),而用褐腐菌其防护率约为43%~67%。采用经2~6配方处理过的样品均能抗第一、二期的白腐腐蚀,而第二期的白蚁对配方4处理过的样品有轻微的腐蚀作用。少数几种配方对材料的耐火性有提高。 | SADHNA Tripathi | 2010 | 林产化学与工业2010，30，4： | 2 |
| 5 | Design of reaction conditions for the enhancement of microbial degradation of dyes in sequential cycles显示文摘The present study evaluated the potential of white-rot fungal strain Coriolus versicolor to decolorize five structurally different dyes in sequential batch reactors under optimized conditions. The experiments were run continuously for seven cycles of 8 d each. High decolorizing activity was observed even during the repeated reuse of the fungus, especially when the old medium was replaced with fresh medium after every cycle. Biodegradation was the dominating factor as the fungus was able to produce the enzyme laccase mainly, to mineralize synthetic dyes. The nutrients and composition of the medium played important roles in sustaining the decolorisation potential of the fungus. Corncob was found be an easy and cheap substitute for carbon source for the fungus.
