Spatio-temporal Characteristics and Geographical Determinants of Air Quality in Cities at the Prefecture Level and Above in China显示文摘In recent years, the large scale and frequency of severe air pollution in China has become an important consideration in the construction of livable cities and the physical and mental health of urban residents. Based on the 2016-year urban air quality index(AQI) data published by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, this study analyzed the spatial and temporal characteristics of air quality and its influencing factors in 338 urban units nationwide. The analysis provides an effective scientific basis for formulating national air pollution control measures. Four key results are shown. 1) Generally, air quality in the 338 cities is poor, and the average annual values for urban AQI and air pollution in 2016 were 79.58% and 21.22%, respectively. 2) The air quality index presents seasonal changes, with winter > spring > autumn > summer and a u-shaped trend. 3) The spatial distribution of the urban air quality index shows clear north-south characteristic differences and a spatial agglomeration effect; the high value area of air pollution is mainly concentrated in the North China Plain and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 4) An evaluation of the spatial econometric model shows that differences in urban air quality are due to social, economic, and natural factors. | SUN Zhe ZHAN Dongsheng JIN Fengjun | 2019 | Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,2: | 5
Mantle Branch Structure in the South-Central Segment of the Da Hinggan Mts.,Inner Mongolia and Its Ore-controlling Role显示文摘Mantle branch structure is the third tectonic unit of multiple evolution of a mantle branch. It is not only the main mechanism of intercontinental orogeny, but also an important ore-forming and ore-control structure. Studies on geotectonic evolution, regional geological characteristics and ore-forming and ore-control structures have shown that since the Mesozoic the Da Hinggan Mts. region has entered a typical intercontinental orogenic stage, and it is closely related to mantle branch activities. The south-central segment of the Da Hinggan Mts. is a typical mantle branch structure and possesses obvious magmatic-metamorphic complexes in the core, detachment slip beds in the periphery and overlapped fault depression basins. Moreover, all of these are the principal factors leading to ore formation and ore control in the region. This paper also further explores the mechanism of mineralization in the south-central segment of the Da Hinggan, summaries the rules of mineralization, puts forward the models of mineralization and points out future ore-exploring orientation. | NIU Shuyin SUN Aiqun WANG Baode NIE Fengjun JIANG Sihong SHAO Ji'an GUO Lijun LIU Jianming | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,6: | 4
Pattern of hair cell loss and delayed peripheral neuron degeneration in inner ear by a high-dose intratympanic gentamicin显示文摘To gain insights into the ototoxic effects of aminoglycoside antibiotics(AmAn) and delayed peripheral ganglion neuron death in the inner ear.experimental animal models were widely used with several different approaches including AmAn systemic injections, combination treatment of AmAn and diuretics,or local application of AmAn.In these approaches, systemic AmAn treatment alone usually causes incomplete damage to hair cells in the inner ear.Co-administration of diuretic and AmAn can completely destroy the cochlear hair cells, but it is impossible to damage the vestibular system.Only the approach of AmAn local application can selectively eliminate most sensory hair cells in the inner ear. Therefore,AmAn local application is more suitable for studies for complete hair cell destructions in cochlear and vestibular system and the following delayed peripheral ganglion neuron death. In current studies, guinea pigs were unilaterally treated with a high concentration of gentamicin(GM,40 nig/ml) through the tympanic membrane into the middle ear cavity.Auditory functions and vestibular functions were measured before and after GM treatment. The loss of hair cells and delayed degeneration of ganglion neurons in both cochlear and vestibular system were quantified 30 days or 60 days after treatment. The results showed that both auditory and vestibular functions were completely abolished after GM treatment. The sensory hair cells were totally missing in the cochlea, and severely destroyed in vestibular end-organs.The delayed spiral ganglion neuron death 60 days after the deafening procedure was over 50%.However,no obvious pathological changes were observed in vestibular ganglion neurons 60 days post-treatment.These results indicated that a high concentration of gentamycin delivered to the middle ear cavity can destroy most sensory hair cells in the inner ear that subsequently causes the delayed spiral ganglion neuron degeneration. This model might be useful for studies of hair cell regenerations, delayed degeneration of peripheral auditory neurons,and/or vestibular compensation. In addition,a potential problem of ABR recording for unilateral deafness and issues about vestibular compensation are also discussed. | Jintao Yu Dalian Ding Fengjun Wang Haiyan Jiang Hong Sun Richard Salvi | 2014 | Journal of Otology2014,9,3: | 2
Fast and stable K-ion storage enabled by synergistic interlayer and pore-structure engineering显示文摘Carbon-based material has been regarded as one of the most promising electrode materials for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).However, the battery performance based on reported porous carbon electrodes is still unsatisfactory, while the in-depth K-ion storage mechanism remains relatively ambiguous.Herein,we propose a facile“in situ self-template bubbling”method for synthesizing interlayer-tuned hierarchically porous carbon with different metallic ions, which delivers superior K-ion storage performance, especially the high reversible capacity(360.6 mAh·g^(−1)@0.05 A·g^(−1)),excellent rate capability(158.6 mAh·g^(−1)@10.0 A·g^(−1))and ultralong high-rate cycling stability(82.8%capacity retention after 2,000 cycles at 5.0 A·g^(−1)).Theoretical simulation reveals the correlations between interlayer distance and K-ion diffusion kinetics.Experimentally, deliberately designed consecutive cyclic voltammetry(CV)measurements,ex situ Raman tests, galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)method decipher the origin of the excellent rate performance by disentangling the synergistic effect of interlayer and pore-structure engineering.Considering the facile preparation strategy, superior electrochemical performance and insightful mechanism investigations, this work may deepen the fundamental understandings of carbon-based PIBs and related energy storage devices like sodium-ion batteries,aluminum-ion batteries, electrochemical capacitors, and dual-ion batteries. | Deping Li Qing Sun Yamin Zhang Xinyue Dai Fengjun Ji Kaikai Li Qunhui Yuan Xingjun Liu Lijie Ci | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,12: | 1

Effect of intracranial hypertension on cerebral hemorrhage induced autonomic nerve imbalance显示文摘BACKGROUND: Cerebral hemorrhage can cause the imbalance of nerve function, whereas its mechanism and main impact factors are still not quite clear. OBJECTIVE: To explore the rules about the changes of intracranial pressure in brainstem hemorrhage and internal capsule hemorrhage, and analyze the role of intracranial hypertension in the changes of nerve function caused by cerebral hemorrhage. DESIGN: A self-controlled trial. SETTING: Department of Physiology, Tianjin Medical University. MATERIALS: Sixty-five healthy male Japanese white rabbits with long ears (1.5–1.8 kg) were supplied and fed by the Department of Animal Experiment of Tianjin Medical University. The RM6240B biological signal collecting and processing system was used. METHODS: The experiments were conducted in the Department of Physiology, Tianjin Medical University from August 2001 to May 2006. ① The rabbits were anesthetized, then fixed onto the brain stereotaxic apparatus, and afterwards fenestration on skull and intubation to lateral ventricle were performed. The dynamic changes of intracranial pressure were monitored continuously. Rabbits were infused with autologous arterial blood (0.3 mL) into midbrain corpora quadrigemina inferior colliculus to induce model of acute brainstem hemorrhage; models of internal capsule hemorrhage were established by infusing autologous arterial blood into internal capsule. ② The dynamic intracranial pressures under the above conditions were recorded continuously with the RM6240B biological signal collecting and processing system. ③ An animal model of persistent intracranial hypertension was established by infusion of physiologic saline into lateral ventricle. ④ The changes of the intensity of autonomic nerve discharge were analyzed, using the biological signal collecting and processing system before and after hemorrhage and under persistent intracranial hypertension. ⑤ Ten animal models of internal capsule hemorrhage and 10 of brainstem hemorrhage were selected respectively, then gross pathological samples were cut open, and the accuracy of hemorrhage models was affirmed. Histological sections in hemorrhage point and around this point were prepared for with hematoxylin and eosin staining, and the pathological changes were observed under light microscope. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Changes of intracranial pressures before and after internal capsule hemorrhage and brainstem hemorrhage; ② Changes of the discharge intensity of cervical vagus nerve trunk in animal models of internal capsule hemorrhage, brainstem hemorrhage and persistent intracranial hypertension without hemorrhage; ③ Accuracy of location of internal capsule hemorrhage and brainstem hemorrhage confirmed by gross pathological samples and sections. RESULTS: Totally 65 rabbits were involved in the analysis of results. ① Dynamic state of intracranial pressure: Intracranial pressure increased obviously at 45 minutes after internal capsule hemorrhage and brainstem hemorrhage, the intracranial pressures were (1.31±0.30), (1.82±0.45) kPa, which were obviously higher than those before hemorrhage [(1.04±0.18), ( 1.05±0.19) kPa, P < 0.01]. ② Discharge of vagus nerve: Under intracranial hypertension, the discharge of cervical vagus nerve trunk was enhanced, and the discharge intensity of vagus nerve trunk was significantly different before and after persistent intracranial hypertension [(364.28±78.55), (1252.19±151.75) μV·s, P < 0.01]. The discharges of cervical vagus nerve trunk were significantly enhanced after internal capsule hemorrhage and brainstem hemorrhage (P < 0.01). ③ Validation of hemorrhage sites: The hemorrhage sites were internal capsule and brainstem on histopathological sections. CONCLUSION: Intracranial pressure may play an important role in the pathophysiological process of vagus nerve imbalance caused by cerebral hemorrhage. | Xuelong Jin Wenli Jing Fengxia Yan Zhaoqiang Zhang Fengjun Lǚ Shuiqing Jing Na Sun Kazushige Mizoguchi | 2007 | Neural Regeneration Research2007,2,3: | 0
A novel denoising framework for cerenkov luminescence imaging based on spatial information improved clustering and curvature-driven diffusion显示文摘With widely availed clinically used radionuclides,Cer enkov luminescence imaging(CLI)has become a potential tool in the field of optical molecular imaging. However, the impulse noises introduced by high-energy gamma rays that are generated during the decay of radionuclide reduce the image quality significantly, which affects the acauracy of quantitative analysis,as well as the three dimensional reconstruction. In this work,a novel denoising framework based on fuzzy dlustering and curvat ure driven difusion(CDD)is proposed to remove this kind of impulse noises. To improve the accuracy, the F u1zzy Local Information C-Means algorithm, where spatial information is evolved,is used.We evaluate the per formance of the proposed framework sys-tematically with a series of experiments, and the corresponding results demonstrate a better denoising effect than those from the commonly used median filter method. We hope this work may provide a useful data pre processing tool for CLI and its following studies. | Xin Cao Yi Sun Fei Kang Lin Wang Huangjian Yi Fengjun Zhao Linzhi Su Xiaowei He | 2018 | Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2018,,4: | 0
