1水分胁迫下外源ABA提高甘蔗抗旱性的作用机制显示文摘以抗旱甘蔗品种ROC22为材料,调查水分胁迫及胁迫加喷施脱落酸(ABA)对甘蔗内源ABA合成及相关生理生化作用的影响。结果表明,干旱及干旱加外施ABA的条件下,甘蔗内源ABA合成水平上升,但干旱加ABA处理增幅更显著,甘蔗叶内的脯氨酸(Pro)、H2O2、丙二醛(MDA)含量增加,而ABA处理能缓解MDA的积累,使其含量处于低水平,ABA处理能防止叶绿素降解并对干旱引起的最大光能转化效率(Fv/Fm)、PSII实际量子效率(ΦPSII)下降有明显的缓解作用。干旱条件下,H2O2的积累伴随着抗氧化作用的酶CAT、GPX、GR和APX的活性提高,而ABA处理能进一步提高这些相关酶的活性而逐渐降低H2O2的含量,表明干旱条件下,外施ABA能增强甘蔗的抗氧化防护系统,提高抗旱性。李长宁 Manoj Kumar SRIVASTAVA 农倩 李杨瑞 2010作物学报2010,36,5:73
2Irritable bowel syndrome and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth:Meaningful association or unnecessary hype显示文摘Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)is a common condition characterized by abdominal pain or discomfort,bloating,and altered stool form and passage.Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth(SIBO)is a condition in which there is overgrowth of bacteria in small bowel in excess of 105colony forming units per milliliter on culture of the upper gut aspirate.Frequency of SIBO varied from 4%-78%among patients with IBS and from 1%-40%among controls.Higher frequency in some studies might be due to fallacious criteria[postlactulose breath-hydrogen rise 20 PPM above basal within 90 min(early-peak)].Glucose hydrogen breath test(GHBT)has a low sensitivity to diagnose SIBO.Hence,studies based on GHBT might have under-estimated frequency of SIBO.Therefore,it is important to analyze these studies carefully to evaluate whether the reported association between IBS and SIBO is over or under-projected.This review evaluates studies on association between SIBO and IBS,discordance between different studies,their strength and weakness including methodological issues and evidence on therapeutic manipulation of gut flora on symptoms of IBS.Uday C Ghoshal Deepakshi Srivastava 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,10:29
3北京地区的闪电时空分布特征及不同强度雷暴的贡献显示文摘利用北京闪电定位网(BLNET,Beijing Lightning Network)和SAFIR3000(Surveillance et Alerte Foudre par Interometrie Radioelectrique)定位网7年共423次雷暴的闪电资料,并按照雷暴产生闪电多少,同时参考雷达回波和雷暴持续时间,将雷暴划分为弱雷暴(≤1000次)、强雷暴(>1000次且≤10000次)和超强雷暴(>10000次),分析了北京地区的闪电时空分布特征及不同强度等级雷暴对闪电分布的贡献。北京总闪电密度最大值约为15.4 flashes km-2a(^-1),平均值约为1.9 flashes km^-2a(^-1),大于8 flashes km^-2a(^-1)的闪电密度高值区基本分布在海拔高度200 m等高线以下的平原地带。不同强度雷暴对总雷暴闪电总量贡献不同,弱雷暴(超强雷暴)次数多(少),产生的闪电少(多),超强雷暴和强雷暴产生的闪电分别占总雷暴闪电的37%和56%。不同强度雷暴对总雷暴的闪电密度高值中心分布和闪电日变化特征影响显著,昌平区东部、顺义区中东部和北京主城区是总雷暴闪电密度大于12 flashes km-2a(-1)的三个主要高值区中心,前两个高值中心受强雷暴影响大,而主城区高值中心主要受超强雷暴影响。总雷暴晚上频繁的闪电活动主要受超强雷暴和强雷暴影响,这两类雷暴晚上闪电活动活跃,分别占各自总闪电的69%和65%,而弱雷暴闪电活动白天陡增很快,对总雷暴午后的闪电活动影响大。另外,不同下垫面条件闪电日变化差异大,山区最强的闪电活动出现在白天,午后闪电活动增强很快,主峰值出现在北京时间18:00,而平原最强的闪电活动发生在晚上,平原(山麓)的主峰值比山区推迟了约1.5小时(1小时)。王东方 郄秀书 袁善锋 孙竹玲 陈志雄 李进梁 张鸿波 刘明远 SRIVASTAVA Abhay 刘冬霞 2020大气科学2020,44,2:18
4Inflammation and fibrosis in chronic liver diseases including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatitis C显示文摘At present chronic liver disease(CLD),the third commonest cause of premature death in the United Kingdom is detected late,when interventions are ineffective,resulting in considerable morbidity and mortality.Injury to the liver,the largest solid organ in the body,leads to a cascade of inflammatory events.Chronic inflammation leads to the activation of hepatic stellate cells that undergo transdifferentiation to become myofibroblasts,the main extra-cellular matrix producing cells in the liver;over time increased extra-cellular matrix production results in the formation of liver fibrosis.Although fibrogenesis may be viewed as having evolved as a“wound healing”process that preserves tissue integrity,sustained chronic fibrosis can become pathogenic culminating in CLD,cirrhosis and its associated complications.As the reference standard for detecting liver fibrosis,liver biopsy,is invasive and has an associated morbidity,the diagnostic assessment of CLD by non-invasive testing is attractive.Accordingly,in this review the mechanisms by which liver inflammation and fibrosis develop in chronic liver diseases are explored to identify appropriate and meaningful diagnostic targets for clinical practice.Due to differing disease prevalence and treatment efficacy,disease specific diagnostic targets are required to optimally manage individual CLDs such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and chronic hepatitis C infection.To facilitate this,a review of the pathogenesis of both conditions is also conducted.Finally,the evidence for hepatic fibrosis regression and the mechanisms by which this occurs are discussed,including the current use of antifibrotic therapy.Sudeep Tanwar Freya Rhodes Ankur Srivastava Paul M Trembling William M Rosenberg 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,2:17

6Cytotoxic genes from traditional Chinese medicine inhibit tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Little effort has been made to study the protein-encoding genes isolated from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) drugs, and the delivery of these genes into malignant cells through recombinant adeno-associated virus(r AAV) vectors has not been attempted. METHODS: We synthesized the c DNAs of five known cytotoxic proteins isolated from TCM drugs and the FLAG epitope-tagged c DNAs were subcloned into a r AAV plasmid vector. The protein expression was confi rmed by Western blot assay. Various cancer cell lines were transfected with the above plasmids and cell growth was monitored both in vitro and in vivo. The best cytotoxic gene was further packaged into r AAV vectors, under the control of a liver cancer-specifi c promoter. The liver tumor growth was then monitored following intratumor administration of the r AAV vectors.RESULTS: The expression plasmids, encoding individual potential cytotoxic genes tagged with FLAG epitope, were successfully generated and sequenced. Among these genes, trichosanthin(TCS) gene yielded the most promising results for the inhibition of cancer cell growth in vitro. The over-expressed TCS functioned as a type I ribosome-inactivating protein, followed by inducing apoptosis that is associated with the Bcl-PARP signaling pathway. 7原位杂交对胃粘膜相关组织淋巴瘤的免疫球蛋白轻链的检测显示文摘目的 评价mRNA原位杂交方法检测免疫球蛋白轻链限制性在胃粘膜相关组织淋巴瘤诊断中的应用价值。方法 用非同位素标记寡核苷酸mRNA探针原位杂交方法检测 2 7例原发性胃粘膜相关淋巴瘤和 5例慢性胃炎 ,对其中的肿瘤细胞、淋巴细胞及浆细胞的免疫球蛋白κ和λ轻链的比例进行分析 ,以确定肿瘤细胞的轻链限制性及浆细胞的单克隆性。结果 2 7例原发性胃粘膜相关淋巴瘤中有 10例出现轻链限制性 (37% ) ,其中 5例 (5 /9)为低度恶性病例 ,5例 (5 /18,2 8% )为高度恶性病例。单克隆性的浆细胞只在低度恶性病例中检出。慢性胃炎标本及肿瘤旁组织中未检测出轻链限制性。结论 mRNA原位杂交方法检测轻链限制性是诊断胃淋巴瘤的一个有用工具。低度恶性淋巴瘤中单克隆性浆细胞的存在 ,可作为诊断早期胃粘膜相关淋巴瘤的依据之一。张铀 Faith C.S.Ho 沈丹华 徐维胜 Alexander C.L.Chan Gopesh Srivastava 2001中华病理学杂志2001,30,1:13
8Newer perspectives of coronary artery disease in young显示文摘Coronary artery disease(CAD) occurring in less than 45 years of age is termed as young CAD.Recent studies show a prevalence of 1.2% of CAD cases in this age group.Ethnic wise south Asians especially Indians are more vulnerable to have CAD in young age group with a prevalence of 5% to 10%.Conventional risk factors such as smoking,diabetes,hypertension,obesity and family history seems to be as important as in older CAD subjects.But the prevalence of these risk factors seems to vary in younger subjects.By far the most commonly associated risk factor is smoking in young CAD.Several genes associated with lipoprotein metabolism are now found to be associated with young CAD like cholesterol ester transfer protein(CETP) gene,hepatic lipase gene,lipoprotein lipase gene,apo A1 gene,apo E gene and apo B.Biomarkers such as lipoprotein(a),fibrinogen,D-dimer,serum Wnt,gamma glutamyl transferase,vitamin D2 and osteocalcin are seems to be associated with premature CAD in some newer studies.In general CAD in young has better prognosis than older subjects.In terms of prognosis two risk factors obesity and current smoking are associated with poorer outcomes.Angiographic studies shows predominance of single vessel disease in young CAD patients.Like CAD in older person primary and secondary prevention plays an important role in prevention of new and further coronary events.Amitesh Aggarwal Saurabh Srivastava M Velmurugan 2016World Journal of Cardiology2016,8,12:13

10Synthesis of novel adsorbent by intercalation of biopolymer in LDH for the removal of arsenic from synthetic and natural water显示文摘This study focuses on the synthesis of nanocomposites named CCA and CZA that were prepared by the incorporation of cellulose(CL)in the Ca/Al and Zn/Al layered double hydroxide(LDH),respectively.These materials were then used for the uptake of As(Ⅲ)and As(V)from aqueous medium.Characterization of both nanocomposites(CCA and CZA)was done using FTIR and Raman analysis to identify the functional groups,N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms to determine the specific surface area and pore geometry and XPS analysis to obtain the surface atomic composition.Some other characters were investigated using simultaneous TGA and DTA and elemental chemical analysis(CHNS/O).The crystallinity of the prepared nanocomposites was displayed by XRD patterns.Furthermore,the sheet-like structure of the LDHs and the irregularity of surface morphology with porous structure were observed by TEM and SEM microphotographs.Optimization of maximum adsorption capacity was adjusted using different parameters including pH,contact time and adsorbent dosage.The pseudo-second-order model was in good fitting with kinetics results.The adsorption isotherm results showed that CZA exhibits better adsorption capacity for As(Ⅲ)than CCA and the Langmuir isotherm model described the data well for both nanocomposites.Thermodynamic studies illustrated the endothermic nature of CCA and exothermic nature on CZA,as well as the fact that the adsorption process is spontaneous.A real water sample collected from well located in Gabes(Tunisia),has also been treated.The obtained experimental results were confirmed that these sorbents are efficient for the treatment of hazardous toxic species such as.Hanen Bessaies Sidra Iftekhar Bhairavi Doshi Jamel Kheriji Mohamed Chaker Ncibi Varsha Srivastava Mika Sillanpaa Bechir Hamrouni 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:10

12Current focus of stem cell application in retinal repair显示文摘The relevance of retinal diseases, both in society's economy and in the quality of people's life who suffer with them, has made stem cell therapy an interesting topic forresearch. Embryonic stem cells(ESCs), induced pluripotent stem cells(i PSCs) and adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells(ADMSCs) are the focus in current endeavors as a source of different retinal cells, such as photoreceptors and retinal pigment epithelial cells. The aim is to apply them for cell replacement as an option for treating retinal diseases which so far are untreatable in their advanced stage. ESCs, despite the great potential for differentiation, have the dangerous risk of teratoma formation as well as ethical issues, which must be resolved before starting a clinical trial. i PSCs, like ESCs, are able to differentiate in to several types of retinal cells. However, the process to get them for personalized cell therapy has a high cost in terms of time and money. Researchers are working to resolve this since i PSCs seem to be a realistic option for treating retinal diseases. ADMSCs have the advantage that the procedures to obtain them are easier. Despite advancements in stem cell application, there are still several challenges that need to be overcome before transferring the research results to clinical application. 13Thermal decomposition and kinetics of plastic bonded explosives based on mixture of HMX and TATB with polymer matrices显示文摘This work describes thermal decomposition behaviour of plastic bonded explosives(PBXs) based on mixture of 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene(TATB)with Viton A as polymer binder. Thermal decomposition of PBXs was undertaken by applying simultaneous thermal analysis(STA) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) to investigate influence of the HMX amount on thermal behavior and its kinetics. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) indicated that the thermal decomposition of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was occurred in a three-steps. The first step was mainly due to decomposition of HMX. The second step was ascribed due to decomposition of TATB, while the third step was occurred due to decomposition of the polymer matrices. The thermal decomposition % was increased with increasing HMX amount. The kinetics related to thermal decomposition were investigated under non-isothermal for a single heating rate measurement. The variation in the activation energy of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was observed with varying the HMX amount. The kinetics from the results of TGA data at various heating rates under non-isothermal conditions were also calculated by Flynn—Wall—Ozawa(FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose(KAS)methods. The activation energies calculated by employing FWO method were very close to those obtained by KAS method. 14Pristimerin enhances recombinant adeno-associated virus vector-mediated transgene expression in human cell lines in vitro and murine hepatocytes in vivo显示文摘OBJECTIVE:In the present study,we systemically evaluated the ability of two bioactive compounds from traditional Chinese medicine,celastrol and pristimerin,to enhance recombinant adeno-associated virus(rAAV) serotype vector-mediated transgene expression both in human cell lines in vitro,and in murine hepatocytes in vivo.METHODS:Human cell lines were infected with rAAV vectors with either mock treatment or treatment with celastrol or pristimerin.The transgene expression,percentage of nuclear translocated viral genomes and the ubiquitination of intracellular proteins were investigated post-treatment.In addition,nonobese diabetic/severe combined immunodeficient gamma(NSG) mice were tail vain-injected with rAAV vectors and co-administered with either dimethyl sulfoxide,celastrol,pristimerin or a positive control,bortezomib.The transgene expression in liver was detected and compared over time.RESULTS:We observed that treatment with pristimerin,at as low as 1 umol/L concentration,significantly enhanced rAAV2 vector-mediated transgene expression in vitro,and intraperitoneal coadministration with pristimerin at 4 mg/(kgd) for 3 d dramatically facilitated viral transduction in murine hepatocytes in vivo.The transduction efficiency of the tyrosine-mutant rAAV2 vectors as well as that of rAAV8 vectors carrying oversized transgene cassette was also augmented significantly by pristimerin.The underlying molecular mechanisms by which pristimerin mediated the observed increase in the transduction efficiency of rAAV vectors include both inhibition of proteasomal degradation of the intracellular proteins and enhanced nuclear translocation of the vector genomes.CONCLUSION:These studies suggest the potential beneficial use of pristimerin and pristimerincontaining herb extract in future liver-targeted gene therapy with rAAV vectors.Li-na Wang Yuan Wang Yuan Lu Zi-fei Yin Yuan-hui Zhang George V.Aslanidi Arun Srivastava Chang-quan Ling Chen Ling 2014Journal of Integrative Medicine2014,12,1:8

16Recent advances in catalytic combustion of AP-based composite solid propellants显示文摘Composite solid propellants(CSPs) have widely been used as main energy source for propelling the rockets in both space and military applications. Internal ballistic parameters of rockets like characteristic exhaust velocity, specific impulse, thrust, burning rate etc., are measured to assess and control the performance of rocket motors. The burn rate of solid propellants has been considered as most vital parameter for design of solid rocket motors to meet specific mission requirements. The burning rate of solid propellants can be tailored by using different constituents, extent of oxidizer loading and its particle size and more commonly by incorporating suitable combustion catalysts. Various metal oxides(MOs),complexes, metal powders and metal alloys have shown positive catalytic behaviour during the combustion of CSPs. These are usually solid-state catalysts that play multiple roles in combustion of CSPs such as reduction in activation energy, enhancement of rate of reaction, modification of sequences in reaction-phase, influence on condensed-phase combustion and participation in combustion process in gas-phase reactions. The application of nanoscale catalysts in CSPs has increased considerably in recent past due to their superior catalytic properties as compared to their bulk-sized counterparts. A large surface-to-volume ratio and quantum size effect of nanocatalysts are considered to be plausible reasons for improving the combustion characteristics of propellants. Several efforts have been made to produce nanoscale combustion catalysts for advanced propellant formulations to improve their energetics. The work done so far is largely scattered. In this review, an effort has been made to introduce various combustion catalysts having at least a metallic entity. Recent developments of nanoscale combustion catalysts with their specific merits are discussed. The combustion chemistry of a typical CSP is briefly discussed for providing a better understanding on role of combustion catalysts in burning rate enhancement. 18Current Status of Conventional and Molecular Interventions for Blast Resistance in Rice显示文摘Pyricularia oryzae anamorph of Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most notorious fungal pathogens causing severe economic loss in rice production worldwide. Various methods, viz. cultural, biological and molecular approaches, are utilized to counteract this pathogen. Moreover, some tolerant or resistant rice varieties have been developed with the help of breeding programmes. Isolation and molecular characterization of different blast resistance genes now open the gate for new possibilities to elucidate the actual allelic variants of these genes via various molecular breeding and transgenic approaches. However, the behavioral pattern of this fungus breakups the resistance barriers in the resistant or tolerant rice varieties. This host-pathogen barrier will be possibly countered in future research by comparative genomics data from available genome sequence data of rice and M. oryzae for durable resistance. Present review emphasized fascinating recent updates, new molecular breeding approaches, transgenic and genomics approaches(i.e. mi RNA and genome editing) for the management of blast disease in rice. 19Use of a Bioaugmented Organic Soil Amendment in Combination with Gypsum for Withania somnifera Growth on Sodic Soil显示文摘Limited availability of organic matter is a problem to sustain crop growth on sodic soil. Organic soil amendments are a costeffective source of nutrients to enhance crop growth. A field study was conducted to evaluate the effect of an organic soil amendment bioaugmented with plant growth-promoting fungi(SF_(OA) ) in combination with gypsum on soil properties and growth and yield attributes of Withania somnifera, one of the most valuable crops of the traditional medicinal system in the world, on a sodic soil at the Aurawan Research Farm of CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India. The SF_(OA) used was prepared by pre-enriching farm waste vermicompost with plant growth-promoting fungi before mixing with pressmud and Azadirachta indica seed cake. The application of SF_(OA) at 10 Mg ha^(-1)after gypsum(25.0 Mg ha^(-1)) treatment significantly(P < 0.05) increased root length(by 96%) and biomass(by 125%) of Withania plants compared to the control without SF_(OA) and gypsum. Similarly, the highest withanolide contents were observed in leaves and roots of Withania plants under 10 Mg ha^(-1)SF_(OA) and gypsum. Combined application of SF_(OA) and gypsum also improved physical, chemical and enzymatic properties of the soil, with the soil bulk density decreasing by 25%, water-holding capacity increasing by 121%, total organic C increasing by 90%, p H decreasing by 17% and alkaline phosphatase, β-glucosidase, dehydrogenase and cellulase activities increasing by 54%, 128%, 81% and 96%, respectively, compared to those of the control. 20Water and nutrient management effects on water use and yield of drip irrigated citrus in vertisol under a sub-humid region显示文摘Scarcity of water and nutrients in orchards are the major causes of low productivity and decline of citrus in tropics. With a hypothesis that the optimal amount of water and nutrients application through drip irrigation(DI) could save substantial irrigation and fertilizers comparative to that under traditional basin irrigation(BI) with band placement of fertilizer(BPF), this study was conducted in citrus in vertisol of central India. Three DI regimes: I_1, I_2 and I_3 scheduled at 50% class-A pan evaporation rate(E_p), 75% E_p, and 100% E_p along with three fertilizer doses: F_1, F2 and F_3 at 50% recommended dose of fertilizer(RDF, N:P_2O_5:K_2O=600 g:200 g:100 g), 75% of RDF and 100% of RDF were applied to mandarin plants respectively. BI with band placement of fertilizer(BPF) at 100% RDF was taken for comparison. All the drip-fertigation treatments(except I_1F_1) produced higher plant growth and fruit yield, with better quality fruits compared with BI+BPF. The highest fruit yield(16.39 t ha^(–1)), water use efficiency(3.9 kg m^(–3)) and fertilizer use efficiency(87.3 kg kg^(–1)) were observed in I_2F_2. The concentrations of N, K and Fe in leaves were significantly higher in I_2F_2 compared to other treatments. The leaf photosynthesis, stomatal conductance(Gs) and transpiration were the highest in I_3F_3. However, leaf water use efficiency(LWUE, photosynthesis/transpiration) was the highest in I_2F_2.
