| 1 | Eosinophilic gastroenteritis:An unusual type of gastroenteritis显示文摘Eosinophilic gastroenteritis(EGE) is a rare disorder characterized by eosinophilic infiltration of the bowel wall with various gastrointestinal manifestations.Till date only 280 cases have been described in the literature.A high index of suspicion,by excluding other causes of peripheral eosinophilia,is a pre requisite for accurate diagnosis.EGE is an uncommon gastrointestinal disease affecting both children and adults.It was first described by Kaijser in 1937.Presentation may vary depending on location as well as depth and extent of bowel wall involvement and usually runs a chronic relapsing course.This condition can respond to low dose steroid therapy,thereby preventing grave complications like ascites and intestinal obstruction that might need surgical intervention.The natural history of EGE has not been well documented.Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a chronic,waxing and waning condition.Mild and sporadic symptoms can be managed with reassurance and observation,whereas disabling gastrointestinal(GI) symptom flare-ups can often be controlled with oral corticosteroids.When the disease manifests in infancy and specific food sensitization can be identified,the likelihood of disease remission by late childhood is high.GI obstruction is the most common complication.Fatal outcomes are rare. | Sachin B Ingle Chitra R Hinge(Ingle) | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,31: | 47 |

| 7 | Anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic activity of type-A procyanidine polyphenols from bark of Cinnamomum zeylanicum in rats显示文摘Type-A procyanidine polyphenols(TAPP)are reported to have immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory potential in vitro.The objective of present work is to evaluate potential of TAPP extracted from Cinnamon(Cinnamomum zeylanicum)bark in animal models of inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis in rats.Carrageenan-induced rat paw edema(CPE)and adjuvant induced established arthritis(AIA),in rats were used as the experimental models for inflammation and arthritis respectively.Analgesic activity was evaluated in Randall–Selitto assay in AIA rats.TAPP showed significant anti-inflammatory effect at dose of 4,8 and 25 mg/kg,p.o.but not at 2 mg/kg,p.o.dose in CPE model.The dose of 8 mg/kg,p.o.was selected for the evaluation of anti-arthritic activity in AIA model.TAPP(8 mg/kg,p.o.,daily from day-12 to day-21)treatment in established arthritic rats showed significant reversal of changes induced in AIA with respect to body weight drop(cachexia),ankle diameter,arthritic score,serum C-reactive protein(CRP)levels.Moreover,TAPP was found to be non-ulcerogenic as compared to AIA control rats.However,TAPP did not show analgesic effect on AIA-induced pain as seen in Randall–Selitto assay.In conclusion,TAPP showed disease-modifying potential in animal models of inflammation and arthritis in rats.©2013 Beijing Academy of Food Sciences.Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved. | Sachin Vetal Subhash L.Bodhankar Vishwaraman Mohan Prasad A.Thakurdesai | 2013 | Food Science and Human Wellness2013,2,2: | 8 |
| 8 | Primary intestinal lymphangiectasia: Minireview显示文摘Primary idiopathic intestinal lymphangiectasia is an unusual disease featured by the presence of dilated lymphatic channels which are located in the mucosa, submucosa or subserosa leading to protein loosing enteropathy.Most often affected were children and generally diagnosed before third year of life but may be rarely seen in adults too. Bilateral pitting oedema of lower limb is the main clinical manifestation mimicking the systemic disease and posing a real diagnostic dilemma to the clinicians to differentiate it from other common systemic diseases like Congestive cardiac failure, Nephrotic Syndrome, Protein Energy Malnutrition, etc. Diagnosis can be made on capsule endoscopy which can localise the lesion but unable to take biopsy samples. Thus, recently double-balloon enteroscopy and biopsy in combination can be used as an effective diagnostic tool to hit the correct diagnosis. Patients respond dramatically to diet constituting low long chain triglycerides and high protein content with supplements of medium chain triglyceride. | 9 | Influence of cobalt on performance of Cu-CeO2 catalysts for preferential oxidation of CO显示文摘Copper and cobalt oxides supported on CeO2 were investigated for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide(CO-PROX)in the presence of excess hydrogen and CO2.(Cuo)1-x(Co3 O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5(x=0,0.25,0.50,0.75,0.85 and 1)catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation method.These mixed oxide catalysts were characterized by several physicochemical techniques,such as BET surface area(SBET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),temperature programmed reduction(TPR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).XRD studies show the peaks related to CuO and Co3 O4 phases in copper and cobalt containing CeO2 catalysts.The average particle size of the CeO2 crystallites is in the range of 8-10 nm as evaluated from HRTEM studies.XPS studies demonstrate that Cu,Co and Ce in(cuO)1-x(Co3O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5 catalysts are presented in+2 and+1,+3 and+2 and+4 and+3 oxidation states,respectively.The catalyst with x=0.75 shows better activity and selectivity towards CO-PROX.Though the catalyst with only copper(CuO-CeO2,x=0)shows good activity but reverse water gas shift(RWGS)reaction is noticed at high temperature.On the other hand,RWGS reaction is suppressed on the cobalt containing CuO-ceO2 catalyst.Cobalt on CeO2 with x=1 shows hardly any activity for PRoX reaction at low temperatures.No methanation activity is observed on CuO-CeO2 or Co3O4-CeO2 catalysts.In contrast,combination of copper and cobalt on CeO2 shows methanation of CO where enhanced activity is observed with increasing in cobalt content. | Sachin Malwadkar Parthasarathi Bera C.V.V.Satyanarayana | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,9: | 7 |

| 11 | Epithelial cysts of the spleen:A minireview显示文摘Primary splenic epithelial cyst is an unusual event in everyday surgical practice with about 800 cases reported until date in the English literature. Splenic cysts may be parasitic or non-parasitic in origin. Nonparasitic cysts are either primary or secondary. Primary cysts are also called true,congenital,epidermoid or epithelial cysts. Primary splenic cysts account for 10% of all benign non-parasitic splenic cysts and are the most frequent type of splenic cysts in children. Usually,splenic cysts are asymptomatic and can be found incidentally during imaging techniques or on laprotomy. The symptoms are related to the size of cysts. When they assume large sizes,they may present with fullness in the left abdomen,local or referred pain,symptoms due to compression of adjacent structures(like nausea,vomiting,flatulence,diarrhoea) or rarely thrombocytopenia,and occasionally complications such as infection,rupture and/or haemorrhage. The preoperative diagnosis of primary splenic cysts can be ascertained by ultrasonography(USG),computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging,although the wide use of USG today has led to an increase in the incidence of splenic cysts by 1%. However,careful histopathological evaluation along with immunostaining for presence of epithelial lining is mandatory to arrive at the diagnosis. | 14 | Congenital pulmonary airway malformation: A report of two cases显示文摘Congenital pulmonary airway malformation(CPAM), previously known as congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation is a congenital disorder of the lung similar to bronchopulmonary sequestration. In CPAM, usually an entire lobe of lung is replaced by a non-working cystic piece of abnormal lung tissue. This abnormal tissue will never function as normal lung tissue. The underlying cause for CPAM is not known. It occurs in approximately 1 in every 30000 pregnancies. The association between CPAM and malignancy has been well documented. There is a small risk(0.7%) of malignant transformation within the cyst. So early diagnosis and surgical resection is important to prevent the grave complications. | 17 | Crohn's disease with gastroduodenal involvement: Diagnostic approach显示文摘Crohn's disease(CD) is a chronic idiopathic inflammatory disease of gastrointestinal tract characterizedby segmental and transmural involvement of gastrointestinal tract. Ileocolonic and colonic/anorectal is a most common and account for 40% of cases and involvement of small intestine is about 30%. Isolated involvement of stomach is an extremely unusual presentation of the disease accounting for less than 0.07% of all gastrointestinal CD. To date there are only a few documented case reports of adults with isolated gastric CD and no reports in the pediatric population. The diagnosis is difficult to establish in such cases with atypical presentation. In the absence of any other source of disease and in the presence of nonspecific upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and histological findings, serological testing can play a vital role in the diagnosis of atypical CD. Recent studies have suggested that perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody and anti-Saccharomycescervisia antibody may be used as additional diagnostic tools. | 19 | 肥胖症腹腔镜胃袖状切除术后脱发相关危险因素分析显示文摘目的探讨影响肥胖症腹腔镜胃袖状切除术(LSG)后脱发的相关危险因素。方法采用回顾性病例对照研究方法。收集2013年11月至2015年6月同济大学附属东方医院收治的54例行LSG肥胖症患者的临床资料。患者均行LSG,术后观察患者脱发情况.分析影响其术后脱发严重程度的因素:性别、年龄、术前BMI、术后多余体质量减少率(EWL)、TBil、Alb、Hb、铁、锌、铜、叶酸、维生素B12、维生素D。观察指标:(1)随访和术后脱发情况:随访例数、随访时间、脱发例数、脱发严重程度、脱发时间、脱发治疗情况。(2)影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的单因素分析。(3)影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的多因素分析。采用门诊和微信方式进行随访。随访的内容为患者体质量变化情况、脱发情况。随访时间截至2016年9月。正态分布的计量资料以2+s表示,组间比较采用t检验;计数资料比较采用疋。检验:多因素分析采用Logistic回归模型。结果(1)随访和术后脱发情况:54例行LSG患者术后均获得随访,随访时间为术后15个月。术后42例患者发生脱发,男性脱发比例为6/11,女性脱发比例为36/43。42例脱发患者中,轻、中、重度分别为21、10、11例,开始脱发时间为术后(3.4±1.4)个月,脱发结束时间为(9.0±3.6)个月,42例脱发患者中,15例口服药物治疗(硫酸亚铁剂6例、复合维生素5例、葡萄糖酸锌口服液制剂4例)脱发无明显改善。随访期内42例患者脱发均停止并逐渐长出新头发。(2)影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的单因素分析结果显示:性别、术后EWL、叶酸是影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的因素(x2=5.161.t=-5.114,4.266,P〈O.05)。(3)影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的多因素分析结果显示:术后EWL和叶酸是影响LSG术后脱发严重程度的独立因素(OR=1.039,0.499,95%可信区间:1.011.1.068,0.300~0.802,P〈0.05)、该模型对术后脱发严重程度的预测准确率为85.2%。结论术后EWL和叶酸是影响LSG减重手术后脱发的独立因素。 | 郭海军 朱江帆 马颖璋 Sachin Bhagat 曹东亮 唐霖 陈婕 彭建佩 | 2017 | 中华消化外科杂志2017,16,6: | 5 |
| 20 | 经口内镜下幽门肌切开术治疗胃大部切除术后胃瘫的疗效分析显示文摘目的探讨经口内镜下幽门肌切开术(G-POEM)治疗胃大部切除术后胃瘫的有效性及安全性。方法回顾性分析2016年8月至2018年6月在东南大学附属中大医院消化内科接受G-POEM治疗的47例胃大部切除术后胃瘫患者资料,分析治疗情况、手术相关并发症、胃瘫症状改善情况、胃排空功能改善情况。结果47例患者均成功实施G-POEM,无一例出现与G-POEM相关的严重并发症。术后随访时间(9.8±5.8)个月(3~18个月),患者术后第1、3、6、12、18个月胃瘫主要症状指数评分分别为1.6±0.5、1.2±0.4、1.1±0.6、1.4±0.3、1.7±0.3,均低于术前的3.8±1.1(P均<0.01),胃瘫症状显著改善。胃排空造影显示,术后第1、6、12、18个月造影剂半排空时间分别为(23.8±8.8)min、(21.2±9.5)min、(20.9±8.3)min、(26.4±7.8)min,较术前的(67.8±12.5)min均明显缩短(P均<0.01)。三维超声胃窦容积测定提示,术后第1、6、12、18个月胃窦半排空时间分别为26.4(21.8,40.3)min、22.6(13.9,32.7)min、24.3(18.2,36.5)min、26.8(16.4,38.5)min,较术前的72.5(48.3,108.6)min均明显缩短(P均<0.01)。结论G-POEM治疗胃大部切除术后胃瘫具有良好的安全性,且远期疗效较满意。 | 谭佳成 Shrestha Sachin Mulmi 王盼盼 史进军 卢延嘉 高启 卢瞳 施瑞华 | 2019 | 中华消化内镜杂志2019,36,5: | 5 |
