1Cell membrane-based nanoparticles: a new biomimetic platform for tumor diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Taking inspiration from nature, the biomimetic concept has been integrated into drug delivery systems in cancer therapy. Disguised with cell membranes, the nanoparticles can acquire various functions of natural cells. The cell membrane-coating technology has pushed the limits of common nano-systems(fast elimination in circulation) to more effectively navigate within the body. Moreover, because of the various functional molecules on the surface, cell membrane-based nanoparticles(CMBNPs) are capable of interacting with the complex biological microenvironment of the tumor. Various sources of cell membranes have been explored to camouflage CMBNPs and different tumor-targeting strategies have been developed to enhance the anti-tumor drug delivery therapy. 2Effect of temperature,salinity and irradiance on growth and photosynthesis of Ulva prolifera显示文摘Intensive Pyropia aquaculture in the coast of southwestern Yellow Sea and its subsequent waste, including disposed Ulva prolifera, was speculated to be one of the major sources for the large-scale green tide proceeding in the Yellow Sea since 2007. It was, however, unclear how the detached U. prolifera responded and resumed growing after they detached from its original habitat. In this study, we investigated the growth and photosynthetic response of the detached U. prolifera to various temperature, salinity and irradiance in the laboratory. The photosynthetic rate of the detached U. prolifera was significantly higher at moderate temperature levels(14–27°C)and high salinity(26–32), with optimum at 23°C and 32. Both low(<14°C) and highest temperature(40°C), as well as low salinity(8) had adverse effects on the photosynthesis. Compared with the other Ulva species, U. prolifera showed higher saturated irradiance and no significant photoinhibition at high irradiance, indicating the great tolerance of U. prolifera to the high irradiance. The dense branch and complex structure of floating mats could help protect the thalli and reduce photoinhibition in field. Furthermore, temperature exerted a stronger influence on the growth rate of the detached U. prolifera compared to salinity. Overall, the high growth rate of this detached U. prolifera(10.6%–16.7% d^(–1)) at a wide range of temperature(5–32°C) and salinity(14–32) implied its blooming tendency with fluctuated salinity and temperature during floating. 3Menthol-modified casein nanoparticles loading 10-hydroxycamptothecin for glioma targeting therapy显示文摘Chemotherapy outcomes for the treatment of glioma remains unsatisfactory due to the inefficient drug transport across the blood–brain barrier(BBB) and insufficient drug accumulation in the tumor region. Although many approaches, including various nanosystems, have been developed to promote the distribution of chemotherapeutics in the brain tumor, the delivery efficiency and the possible damage to the normal brain function still greatly restrict the clinical application of the nanocarriers.Therefore, it is urgent and necessary to discover more safe and effective BBB penetration and gliomatargeting strategies. In the present study, menthol, one of the strongest BBB penetration enhancers screened from traditional Chinese medicine, was conjugated to casein, a natural food protein with brain targeting capability. Then the conjugate self-assembled into the nanoparticles to load anti-cancer drugs.The nanoparticles were characterized to have appropriate size, spheroid shape and high loading drug capacity. Tumor spheroid penetration experiments demonstrated that penetration ability of mentholmodified casein nanoparticles(M-CA-NP) into the tumor were much deeper than that of unmodified nanoparticles. In vivo imaging further verified that M-CA-NPs exhibited higher brain tumor distribution than unmodified nanoparticles. The median survival time of glioma-bearing mice treated with HCPT-MCA-NPs was significantly prolonged than those treated with free HCPT or HCPT-CA-NPs. HE staining ofthe organs indicated the safety of the nanoparticles. 4Interspecies competition for nutrients between Prorocentrum donghaiense Lu and Skeletonema costatum(Grev.) Cleve in mesocosm experiments显示文摘Three mesocosm experiments were conducted in the East China Sea during blooms of Prorocentrum donghaiense Lu in May of 1998,2002 and 2003 to examine the role of nutrients in the formation of these harmful algae blooms(HABs).The results showed that there was interspecies competition between P.donghaiense and Skeletonema costatum(Grev.) Cleve.The cell number of P.donghaiense and S.costatum accounted for about 85% and 11% of the total cell number of phytoplankton respectively at the beginning of the experiment in May 1998.In May 2002,at the beginning of the experiment,the cell number of P.donghaiense accounted for 55%-66% of the total and S.costatum accounted for 32%-42%.The density of P.donghaiense and S.costatum was over 95% and 1%-5% respectively in May 2003.The results of these three mesocosm experiments showed that the dominant species in this specific community varied with different nutrient availability.Under low-phosphate conditions,the dominant species was P.donghaiense,while S.costatum became dominant in phosphate-replete cases.The average growth rate(1.08 d-1) of S.costatum in exponential growth phase was higher than that(0.39 d-1) of P.donghaiense.In the mesocosm,S.costatum predominated in the mesocosm by its rapid growth.When phosphorus was depleted,the cell number of S.costatum dropped rapidly,while P.donghaiense Lu decreased more slowly.The results from mesocosm experiment may explain why:(1) P.donghaiense bloom usually occurs in May,when phosphate concentration is low;(2) the bloom of S.costatum appears in early spring and summer time,when nutrients increase with increasing Changjiang River(Yangtze River) runoff;(3) the bloom of S.costatum is short and that of P.donghaiense Lu can last more than a month in the East China Sea.ZHU Mingyuan XU Zongjun LI Ruixiang WANG Zongling SHI Xiaoyong 2009Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,1:10
5Drug targeting through platelet membrane-coated nanoparticles for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘The effective drug treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is hindered by poordelivery efficiency to the diseased site and the serious side effects caused bywide-spread drug distribution. Traditional drug-targeting strategies, such asligand modification, are complex, laborious, and inefficient. Inspired by theintrinsic relationship between platelets and RA, platelet-mimetic nanoparticles(PNPs) were developed for targeted drug delivery in RA. Through plateletreceptor-mediated adhesion, an intact platelet membrane was coated onto poly(lactic-co-glycolic add) nanopartides, endowing the resulting PNPs with variousfunctional receptors. By coating with platelet membranes, the nanoparticleswere stabilized and had a better circulation profile, providing a benefit forpassive targeting. In vitro binding of PNPs to inflamed endothelium, and in vivoaccumulation in joints of a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model of RAwere significantly improved via P-selectin and GVPI recognition, indicating thatthe PNPs could effectively target to RA tissues through multiple mechanisms,similar to natural platelets. Moreover, FK506, a model drug, was loaded into thePNPs and used to treat RA. Pharmacodynamic studies demonstrated that theFK506-PNPs had a notable anti-arthritic effect in CIA mice. 8Carbon Materials Reinforced Aluminum Composites:A Review显示文摘Carbon materials, including carbon fibers, graphite, diamond, carbon foams, carbon nanotubes, and graphene, are attractive reinforcements for aluminum matrix composites due to their excellent mechanical and/or physical properties as well as light weight. Carbon materials reinforced aluminum(C/Al) composites are promising materials in many areas such as aerospace, thermal management, and automobile. However, there are still some challenging problems that need to be resolved,such as interfacial reactions, low wettability, and anisotropic properties. These problems have limited the use of these composites. 9Migration and differentiation of bone marrow-derived multipotent adult progenitor cells through tail vein injection in a rat model of cerebral ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND:Multipotent adult progenitor cells(MAPCs) from the bone marrow have been shown to differentiate into neurons. OBJECTIVE:To observe migration,survival,and neuronal-like differentiation of MAPCs by tail vein injection. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Randomized,controlled experiment of neural tissue engineering was performed at the Laboratory for Cardio-Cerebrovascular Disease,Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine,Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology between September 2006 and August 2007. MATERIALS:Eighty Sprague Dawley rats,3-6 months old,underwent cerebral ischemia/reperfusion by thread technique,and were randomly divided into model and MAPCs groups(n=40). METHODS:Mononuclear cells were harvested from bone marrow using the Ficoll-Paque density gradient centrifugation method.After removing CD45 and glycophorin A-positive cells(GLYA^+) with immunomagnetic beads,CD45 GLYA adult progenitor cells were labeled with bromodeoxyuridine(5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine,BrdU).A total of 1 mL cell suspension,containing 5×10~6 MAPCs,was injected into the MAPCs group through the tail vein.A total of 1 mL normal saline was injected into the model rats. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:After 60 days,BrdU and neuron-specific enolase double-positive cells were observed using immunofluorescence.Cell morphology was observed under electron microscopy,and nerve growth factor mRNA was measured through RT-PCR.In addition,rat neurological functions were measured with behavioral tests. RESULTS:Immunofluorescence revealed that MAPCs positive for BrdU and neuron specific enolase were found surrounding the ischemic focus in the MAPCs group.Microscopic observation suggested that MAPCs-derived neuronal-like cells connected with other nerve cells to form synapses.Compared with the model animals,the level of nerve growth factor mRNA was significantly upregulated in rats injected with MAPCs(P<0.05).In addition,rats in the MAPCs group performed better in behavioral tests than the model group on days 28 and 60(P<0.05). The effect of acid concentration, content of functional amino groups, and ionic strength on adsorption was discussed. 12Community structure and controlled factor of attached green algae on the Porphyra yezoensis aquaculture rafts in the Subei Shoal, China显示文摘This study analyzes the community structure, the quantity changes of the algae and the effect of important environmental factors and estimates the total biomass of the attached green algae in the survey areas. The study uses data from surveys of the attached green algae on the Porphyra yezoensis aquaculture rafts and data regarding the environmental factors from October 2010 to April 2011 in the Subei Shoal. The attached green algae on the rafts included Ulva prolifera, Capsosiphon groenlandicus, U. linza, U. intestinalis, U. clathrata, and U. compressa.The biomass changes of the attached green algae exhibited an inverted parabola: the biomass was the highest(14 898 t) in April, and was the second highest(2 034 t) in November; it was lowest in February(only 729 t) and increased sharply from March to April. The species diversity differed significantly among the seasons. In September and October, when the P. yezoensis aquaculture rafts were initially set up, the attached green algae had a high biodiversity, while from December to the next February, a variety of green algae species coexisted on the rafts, although the biomass was low, and from March to April, as the biomass increased sharply, the species diversity dropped to the minimum. During this time, C. groenlandicus was apparently dominant with the maximum biomass proportion up to 80%, while the U. prolifera proportion increased exponentially to 20% to 40%.The water temperature had a direct regulating effect on the biomass and the species succession of the attached green algae. 13Using finite difference method to simulate casting thermal stress显示文摘Thermal stress simulation can provide a scientific reference to eliminate defects such as crack,residual stress centralization and deformation etc.,caused by thermal stress during casting solidification.To study the thermal stress distribution during casting process,a unilateral thermal-stress coupling model was employed to simulate 3D casting stress using Finite Difference Method(FDM),namely all the traditional thermal-elastic-plastic equations are numerically and differentially discrete.A FDM/FDM numerical simulation system was developed to analyze temperature and stress fields during casting solidification process.Two practical verifications were carried out,and the results from simulation basically coincided with practical cases.The results indicated that the FDM/FDM stress simulation system can be used to simulate the formation of residual stress,and to predict the occurrence of hot tearing.Because heat transfer and stress analysis are all based on FDM,they can use the same FD model,which can avoid the matching process between different models,and hence reduce temperature-load transferring errors.This approach makes the simulation of fluid flow,heat transfer and stress analysis unify into one single model.Liao Dunming Zhang Bin Zhou Jianxin Liu Ruixiang Chen Liliang 2011China Foundry2011,8,2:6
14Recent developments of InteCAST software and its applications on special castings显示文摘with the development of computer technology, foundry CAE technology has made rapid progress. Commercialsoftware packages of casting process simulation, therefore, have become more and more practical. This paper introducesboth the recent developments and some applications of InteCAST software, a commercial numerical simulation softwarepackage for foundry industry, with more than 120 customers all over the world. The function modules of lnteCAST8.0 andsome new techniques, such as uneven mesh technology for mold filling simulation and numerical mouse technology fordata visualization, were introduced. Several applications on special castings such as investment casting, low pressure diecasting, and high pressure die casting, were given. 16Sodium Tanshinone Ⅱ A sulfonate for acute myocardial infarction:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy and safety of Sodium tanshinone ⅡA sulfonate(STS) plus the conventional treatment on acute myocardial infarction(AMI) patients.METHODS: We searched several electrical databases and hand searched several Chinese medical journals up to January 2019. Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) comparing STS plus conventional treatment with conventional treatment were retrieved.Study screening, data extraction, quality assessment, and data analysis were conducted in accordance with the Cochrane standards.RESULTS: Sixteen trials involving 1383 people were included. The Meta-analysis showed STS combined with conventional treatment was a better treatment option than conventional treatment alone in reducing the risk of mortality, heart failure, arrhythmia and shock. In addition, STS was associated with improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventricular end diastolic dimension(LVEDD). No significant difference of STS was found on recurrent angina and recurrent AMI. However,the safety of STS remained uncertain for limited data.CONCLUSION: Compared with conventional treatment alone, STS combined with conventional treatment may provide more benefits for patients with AMI. 17Efficient Scheduling Mapping Algorithm for Row Parallel Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architecture显示文摘Row Parallel Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architecture(RPCGRA)has the advantages of maximum parallelism and programmable flexibility.Designing an efficient algorithm to map the diverse applications onto RPCGRA is difficult due to a number of RPCGRA hardware constraints.To solve this problem,the nodes of the data flow graph must be partitioned and scheduled onto the RPCGRA.In this paper,we present a Depth-First Greedy Mapping(DFGM)algorithm that simultaneously considers the communication costs and the use times of the Reconfigurable Cell Array(RCA).Compared with level breadth mapping,the performance of DFGM is better.The percentage of maximum improvement in the use times of RCA is 33%and the percentage of maximum improvement in non-original input and output times is 64.4%(Given Discrete Cosine Transfor 8(DCT8),and the area of reconfigurable processing unit is 56).Compared with level-based depth mapping,DFGM also obtains the lowest averages of use times of RCA,non-original input and output times,and the reconfigurable time.Naijin Chen Zhen Wang Ruixiang He Jianhui Jiang Fei Cheng Chenghao Han 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,5:4
18ZIF-derived Co-N-C ORR catalyst with high performance in proton exchange membrane fuel cells显示文摘Metal and nitrogen-doped carbon(M-N-C)materials have been considered as the most promising non-precious metal oxygen reduction(ORR)catalysts to replace expensive Pt catalysts.Due to high Fenton catalytic activity of Fe element and the resulting instability,Co-based N-C(Co-N-C)catalysts without Fenton catalytic activity should be a worthier ORR catalyst being explored.Although the high ORR activity of Co-N-C catalyst has been demonstrated in aqueous half-cell tests,their performance under PEMFC working condition is still far away from that of state-of-the-art Fe-N-C catalysts.In this study,a high-performance Co-N-C catalyst was synthesized by one-step pyrolyzing Co-doped ZIF-8(zeolitic imidazolate framework-8)particles in-situ grown on the highsurface-area KJ600 carbon black with high electronic conductivity.The resulting Co-N-C catalyst exhibited high intrinsic ORR activity,fast mass transfer rate and high electronic conductivity,and thus yielded a remarkable peak power density of 0.92 W cm^(-2) in H_(2)-O_(2) PEMFC,which is comparable to state-of-the-art Fe-N-C catalyst.This strategy is helpful to synthesize highly active M-N-C ORR catalysts with improved mass transfer and electric conductivity.Ruixiang Wang Pengyang Zhang Yucheng Wang Yuesheng Wang Karim Zaghib Zhiyou Zhou 2020Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,6:4
19Numerical Simulation of Solidification Microstructure and Effects of Phase-field Parameters on Grain Growth Morphologies显示文摘By a simple phase field model, a series of numerical simulations of solidification microstructure was performed to show a rich variety of dendritic patterns. At the same time, the relation between the morphology of grain growth and some parameters including the strength of anisotropy, dimensionless latent heat and the size of initial solid zone was studied. It is for the first time that patterns of grain growth were associated with the size of initial solid zone, which is an interesting issue. 20Nozzle test system for droplet deposition characteristics of orchard air-assisted sprayer and its application显示文摘In order to obtain nozzle droplet deposition characteristics for sprayer mechanical design and variable spraying control algorithms,a nozzle droplet deposition characteristics test system for air-assisted spraying was designed.The test system can supply a stable wind site with precisely controlled air speed whose speed control ranges from 2 m/s to 16 m/s with maximum relative error of 4.5%.It can spray out a certain amount of liquid pesticide with adjustable spraying pressure which can be controlled with high precision while the maximum relative error is only 1.33%.The distribution of droplet deposition can be collected and measured by using the acquisition device and a pesticide deposition optical measurement system.The experiment of two-dimensional nozzle flow measurement was carried out.The results show that nozzle flow distribution is uniform and symmetric with“double-hump”shape in the spray range.Multi-nozzle overlapped droplet deposition ranges from 85%to 116%relative to the average.The nozzle droplet deposition experiment was completed.The experiment results show that in air-assisted spraying,the higher the wind speed,the less droplet deposition is affected by gravity.When the wind speed is higher than 12 m/s and spraying distance is 0.80 m,droplet deposition is concentrated on the originally designated point and hardly affected by gravity.The horizontal spray width becomes smaller with higher wind speed.When the wind speed is high,it can be considered that nozzle deposition only focuses on the nozzle center,if the position requirement is not very high in orchard spraying.Zhai Changyuan Zhao Chunjiang Wang Xiu Li Wei Li Wei Zhu Ruixiang 2014International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,2:4
