1A laser ablated graphene-based flexible self-powered pressure sensor for human gestures and finger pulse monitoring显示文摘Flexible triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs)-based pressure sensors are very essential for the wide-range applications, comprising wearable healthcare systems, intuitive human-device interfaces, electronic-skin (e-skin), and artificial intelligence. Most of conventional fabrication methods used to produce high-performance TENGs involve plasma treatment, photolithography, printing, and electro-deposition. However, these fabrication techniques are expensive, multi-step, time-consuming and not suitable for mass production, which are the main barriers for efficient and cost-effective commercialization of TENGs. Here, we established a highly reliable scheme for the fabrication of a novel eco-friendly, low cost, and TENG-based pressure sensor (TEPS) designed for usage in self-powered-human gesture detection (SP-HGD) likewise wearable healthcare applications. The sensors with microstructured electrodes performed well with high sensitivity (7.697 kPa^-1), a lower limit of detection (~ 1 Pa), faster response time (< 9.9 ms), and highly stable over > 4,000 compression-releasing cycles. The proposed method is suitable for the adaptable fabrication of TEPS at an extremely low cost with possible applications in self-powered systems, especially e-skin and healthcare applications.Partha Sarati Das Ashok Chhetry Pukar Maharjan M. 2In Silico Screening of Natural Products as Potential Inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 Using Molecular Docking Simulation显示文摘Objective:To explore potential natural products against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)via the study of structural and non-structural proteins of human coronaviruses.Methods:In this study,we performed an in-silico survey of 25 potential natural compounds acting against SARS-CoV-2.Molecular docking studies were carried out using compounds against 3-chymotrypsin-like protease(3 CL^(PHO)),papain-like protease(PL^(PRO)),RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp),non-structural protein(nsp),human angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptor(hACE2 R),sapike glycoprotein(S protein),abelson murine leukemia viral oncogene homolog 1(ABL1),calcineurin-nuclear factor of activated T-cells(NFAT)and transmembrane protease serine 2.Results:Among the screened compounds,amentoflavone showed the best binding affinity with the 3 CL^(PRO),RdRp,nsp13,nsp15,hACE2 R,ABL1 and calcineurin-NFAT;berbamine with hACE2 R and ABL1;cepharanthine with nsp10,nsp14,nsp16,S protein and ABL1;glucogallin with nsp15;and papyriflavonol A with PL^(PRO)protein.Other good interacting compounds were juglanin,betulinic acid,betulonic acid,broussooflavan A,tomentin A,B and E,7-methoxycryptopleurine,aloe emodin,quercetin,tanshinone I,tylophorine and furruginol,which also showed excellent binding affinity towards a number of target proteins.Most of these compounds showed better binding affinities towards the target proteins than the standard drugs used in this study.Conclusion:Natural products or their derivatives may be one of the potential targets to fight against SARS-CoV-2.Rajib Hossain Chandan Sarkar Shardar Mohammad Hafiz Hassan Rasel Ahmed Khan Mohammad Arman Pranta Ray Muhammad Torequl Islam Sevgi Durna Dastan Javad Sharifi-Rad Zainab M. 4A Study on the Gas-Solid Particle Flows in a Needle-Free Drug Delivery Device显示文摘Different systems have been used over the years to deliver drug particles to the human skin for pharmaceutical effect. Research has been done to improve the performance and flexibility of these systems. In recent years a unique system called the transdermal drug delivery has been developed. Transdermal drug delivery opened a new door in the field of drug delivery as it is more flexible and offers better performance than the conventional systems. The principle of this system is to accelerate drug particles with a high speed gas flow. Among different transdermal drug delivery systems we will concentrate on the contour shock tube system in this paper. A contoured shock tube is consists of a rupture chamber, a shock tube and a supersonic nozzle section. The drug particles are retained between a set of bursting diaphragm. When the diaphragm is ruptured at a certain pressure, a high speed unsteady flow is initiated through the shock tube which accelerates the particles. Computational fluid dynamics is used to simulate and analyze the flow field. The DPM (discrete phase method) is used to model the particle flow. As an unsteady flow is initiated though the shock tube the drag correlation proposed by Igra et al is used other than the standard drag correlation. The particle velocities at different sections including the nozzle exit are investigated under different operating conditions. Static pressure histories in different sections in the shock tube are investigated to analyze the flow field. 9Molecular characterization of Cryptosporidium xiaoi in goat kids in Bangladesh by nested PCR amplification of 18S rRNA gene显示文摘Objective:To investigate the prevalence of Cryptosporidium spp.in goat kids in selected areas of Bangladesh and to elucidate the potential zoonotic hazards.Methods:In the present study,we have used Ziehl-Neelsen staining and nested PCR approach to identify and characterize the Cryptosporidium sp.from diarrhoeic feces of goat kids.A total of 100 diarrhoeic feces samples were collected from Chittagong region in Southern Bangladesh.For nested PCR analysis,specific primers for amplification of 581 base pair fragments of 18 S rRNA gene were used.Results:A total of 15%and 3%samples were found positive in microscopic study and in nested PCR analysis respectively.Phylogenetic analysis of sequence data showed similarity with that of Cryptosporidium xiaoi recorded from sheep and goat.Conclusions:To our knowledge,this is the first report of Cryptosporidium xiaoi responsible for diarrhoea in goat kids in Bangladesh.Further study can highlight their zoonotic significance along with genetic diversity in other host species inside the country.AMAM Zonaed Siddiki Sohana Akter Mina Zinat Farzana Bibi Ayesa Rasel Das Mohammad Alamgir Hossain 2015Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2015,5,3:1
