1The seasonal variations in the significant wave height and sea surface wind speed of the China's seas显示文摘Long-term variations in a sea surface wind speed(WS) and a significant wave height(SWH) are associated with the global climate change, the prevention and mitigation of natural disasters, and an ocean resource exploitation,and other activities. The seasonal characteristics of the long-term trends in China's seas WS and SWH are determined based on 24 a(1988–2011) cross-calibrated, multi-platform(CCMP) wind data and 24 a hindcast wave data obtained with the WAVEWATCH-III(WW3) wave model forced by CCMP wind data. The results show the following.(1) For the past 24 a, the China's WS and SWH exhibit a significant increasing trend as a whole, of3.38 cm/(s·a) in the WS, 1.3 cm/a in the SWH.(2) As a whole, the increasing trend of the China's seas WS and SWH is strongest in March-April-May(MAM) and December-January-February(DJF), followed by June-July-August(JJA), and smallest in September-October-November(SON).(3) The areal extent of significant increases in the WS was largest in MAM, while the area decreased in JJA and DJF; the smallest area was apparent in SON. In contrast to the WS, almost all of China's seas exhibited a significant increase in SWH in MAM and DJF; the range was slightly smaller in JJA and SON. The WS and SWH in the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea, East China Sea, the Tsushima Strait, the Taiwan Strait, the northern South China Sea, the Beibu Gulf, and the Gulf of Thailand exhibited a significant increase in all seasons.(4) The variations in China's seas SWH and WS depended on the season. 2Fuzzy distances based FMAGDM compromise ratio method and application显示文摘An extended compromise ratio method(CRM) based on fuzzy distances is developed to solve fuzzy multi-attribute group decision making problems in which weights of attributes and ratings of alternatives on attributes are expressed with values of linguistic variables parameterized using triangular fuzzy numbers.A compromise solution is determined by introducing the ranking index based on the concept that the chosen alternative should be as close as possible to the positive ideal solution and as far away from the negative ideal solution as possible simultaneously.This proposed method is compared with other existing methods to show its feasibility and effectiveness and illustrated with an example of the military route selection problem as one of the possible applications.Zhenfeng Rui Dengfeng Li 2010Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,3:2

4Anti-Parkinsonian Therapy:Strategies for Crossing the Blood–Brain Barrier and Nano-Biological Effects of Nanomaterials显示文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD),a neurodegenerative disease that shows a high incidence in older individuals,is becoming increasingly prevalent.Unfortunately,there is no clinical cure for PD,and novel anti-PD drugs are therefore urgently required.However,the selective permeability of the blood–brain barrier(BBB)poses a huge challenge in the development of such drugs.Fortunately,through strategies based on the physiological characteristics of the BBB and other modifications,including enhancement of BBB permeability,nanotechnology can offer a solution to this problem and facilitate drug delivery across the BBB.Although nanomaterials are often used as carriers for PD treatment,their biological activity is ignored.Several studies in recent years have shown that nanomaterials can improve PD symptoms via their own nano-bio effects.In this review,we first summarize the physiological features of the BBB and then discuss the design of appropriate brain-targeted delivery nanoplatforms for PD treatment.Subsequently,we highlight the emerging strategies for crossing the BBB and the development of novel nanomaterials with anti-PD nano-biological effects.Finally,we discuss the current challenges in nanomaterial-based PD treatment and the future trends in this field.Our review emphasizes the clinical value of nanotechnology in PD treatment based on recent patents and could guide researchers working in this area in the future.Guowang Cheng Yujing Liu Rui Ma Guopan Cheng Yucheng Guan Xiaojia Chen Zhenfeng Wu Tongkai Chen 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6:1
5Immediate and legacy effects of snow exclusion on soil fungal diversity and community composition显示文摘Background:Soil fungi play crucial roles in ecosystem functions.However,how snow cover change associated with winter warming affects soil fungal communities remains unclear in the Tibetan forest.Methods:We conducted a snow manipulation experiment to explore immediate and legacy effects of snow exclusion on soil fungal community diversity and composition in a spruce forest on the eastern Tibetan Plateau.Soil fungal communities were performed by the high throughput sequencing of gene-fragments.Results:Ascomycota and Basidiomycota were the two dominant fungal phyla and Archaeorhizomyces,Aspergillus and Amanita were the three most common genera across seasons and snow manipulations.Snow exclusion did not affect the diversity and structure of soil fungal community in both snow-covered and snow-free seasons.However,the relative abundance of some fungal communities was different among seasons.Soil fungal groups were correlated with environmental factors(i.e.,temperature and moisture)and soil biochemical variables(i.e.,ammonium and enzyme).Conclusions:These results suggest that the season-driven variations had stronger impacts on soil fungal community than short-term snow cover change.Such findings may have important implications for soil microbial processes in Tibetan forests experiencing significant decreases in snowfall.Li Zhang Yuzhi Ren Kaijun Yang Zhijie Li Bo Tan Yang Liu Han Li Chengming You Sining Liu Lixia Wang Rui Yin Jian Zhang Zhenfeng Xu 2021Forest Ecosystems2021,8,2:1
6Nitrogen addition mediates the response of foliar stoichiometry to phosphorus addition: a meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Changes in foliar nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)stoichiometry play important roles in predicting the efects of global change on ecosystem structure and function.However,there is substantial debate on the efects of P addition on foliar N and P stoichiometry,particularly under diferent levels of N addition.Thus,we conducted a global meta-analysis to investigate how N addition alters the efects of P addition on foliar N and P stoichiometry across different rates and durations of P addition and plant growth types based on more than 1150 observations.Results:We found that P addition without N addition increased foliar N concentrations,whereas P addition with N addition had no efect.The positive efects of P addition on foliar P concentrations were greater without N addition than with N addition.Additionally,the efects of P addition on foliar N,P and N:P ratios varied with the rate and duration of P addition.In particular,short-term or low-dose P addition with and without N addition increased foliar N concentration,and the positive efects of short-term or low-dose P addition on foliar P concentrations were greater without N addition than with N addition.The responses of foliar N and P stoichiometry of evergreen plants to P addition were greater without N addition than with N addition.Moreover,regardless of N addition,soil P availability was more efective than P resorption efciency in predicting the changes in foliar N and P stoichiometry in response to P addition.Conclusions:Our results highlight that increasing N deposition might alter the response of foliar N and P stoichiometry to P addition and demonstrate the important efect of the experimental environment on the results.These results advance our understanding of the response of plant nutrient use efciency to P addition with increasing N deposition.Chengming You Changhui Peng Zhenfeng Xu Yang Liu Li Zhang Rui Yin Lin Liu Han Li Lixia Wang Sining Liu Bo Tan Paul Kardol 2021Ecological Processes2021,10,1:0

8Ultrasmall Coordination Polymers for Alleviating ROS-Mediated Inflammatory and Realizing Neuroprotection against Parkinson's Disease显示文摘Parkinson's disease(PD)is the second most common neurodegenerative disease globally,and there is currently no effective treatment for this condition.Excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROs)and neuroinflammation are major contributors to PD pathogenesis.Herein,ultrasmall nanoscale coordination polymers(NCPs)coordinated by ferric ions and natural product curcumin(Cur)were exploited,showing efficient neuroprotection by scavenging excessive radicals and suppressing neuroinflammation.In a 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)-induced mouse PD model,such ultrasmall Fe-Cur NCPs with prolonged blood circulation and BBB traversing capability could effectively alleviate oxidative stress,mitochondrial dysfunction,and inflammatory condition in the midbrain and striatum to reduce PD symptoms.Thus,this study puts forth a unique type of therapeutics-based NCPs that could be used for safe and efficient treatment of PD with potential in clinical translation.Guowang Cheng Xueliang Liu Yujing Liu Yao Liu Rui Ma Jingshan Luo Xinyi Zhou Zhenfeng Wu Zhuang Liu Tongkai Chen Yu Yang 2022Research2022,,4:0
9Effects of snow absence on available N pools and enzyme activities within soil aggregates in a spruce forest on the eastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Winter climate change has great potential to affect the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems.In particular,increased soil frost associated with reduced insulating snow cover may impact the soil nitrogen(N)dynamics in cold ecosystems,but little is known about the variability of these effects among the soil aggregates.A snow manipulation experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of snow absence on N cycling within soil aggregates in a spruce forest on the eastern Tibetan Plateau of China.The extractable soil available N(ammonium and nitrate),net N mineralization rate,and N cycling-related enzyme activities(urease,nitrate reductase,and nitrite reductase)were measured in large macroaggregate(>2 mm),small macroaggregate(0.25–2 mm),and microaggregate(<0.25 mm)during the early thawing period in the years of 2016 and 2017.Snow absence increased soil N availabilities and nitrite reductase activity in microaggregate,but did not affect net N mineralization rate,urease or nitrate reductase activities in any of the aggregate fractions.Regardless of snow manipulations,both soil inorganic N and nitrate reductase were higher in small macroaggregate than in the other two fractions.The effect of aggregate size and sampling year was significant on soil mineral N,net N mineralization rate,and nitrite reductase activity.Our results indicated that snow cover change exerts the largest impact on soil N cycling within microaggregate,and its effect is dependent on winter conditions(e.g.,snow cover and temperature).Such findings have important implications for soil N cycling in snow-covered subalpine forests experiencing pronounced winter climate change.ZhijieLi Rudiger Reichel Zimin Li Kaijun Yang Li Zhang Bo Tan Rui Yin Kerui Zhao Zhenfeng Xu 2022Soil Ecology Letters2022,4,4:0
10Tandem hydroalkylation and deoxygenation of lignin-derived phenolics to synthesize high-density fuels显示文摘Lignin is the most abundant naturally phenolic biomass,and the synthesis of high-performance renewable fuel from lignin has attracted significant attention.We propose the efficient synthesis of high-density fuels using simulated lignin cracked oil in tandem with hydroalkylation and deoxygenation reactions.First,we investigated the reaction pathway for the hydroalkylation of phenol,which competes with the hydrodeoxygenation form cyclohexane.And then,we investigated the effects of metal catalyst types,the loading amount of metallic,acid dosage,and reactant ratio on the reaction results.The phenol hydroalkylation and hydrodeoxygenation were balanced when 180℃ and 5 MPa H_(2)with the alkanes yield of 95%.By extending the substrate to other lignin-derived phenolics and simulated lignin cracked oil,we obtained the polycyclic alkane fuel with high density of 0.918 g·ml^(-1)and calorific value of41.2 MJ·L^(-1).Besides,the fuel has good low-temperature properties(viscosity of 9.3 mm^(2)·s^(-1)at 20℃ and freezing point below-55℃),which is expected to be used as jet fuel.This work provides a promising way for the easy and green production of high-density fuel directly from real lignin oil.Rui Yu Zhensheng Shen Yanan Liu Chengxiang Shi Juncong Qu Lun Pan Zhenfeng Huang Xiangwen Zhan g Ji-Jun Zou 2024Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2024,66,2:0
