| 1 | Improving the Corrosion Resistance of ZEK100 Magnesium Alloy by Combining High-Pressure Torsion Technology with Hydroxyapatite Coating显示文摘Recently,magnesium and its alloys have attracted more and more attention as promising implant materials due to their excellent properties such as good biocompatibility,biodegradation,non-toxicity and comparable mechanical properties with natural bone.They can be gradually degraded and absorbed so as to avoid the second surgery for implants removal after the tissues are healed completely.In addition,they are also able to prevent the stress shielding effect in human body environment because of the density,elastic modulus and yield strength of magnesium closer to the bone.Unfortunately,the high corrosion rate which causes early mechanical failure of the implants in physiological environment limits the widespread use of magnesium alloys for clinical application in biology.And the high corrosion process usually causes huge hydrogen evolution and alkalinization,resulting in problems against the implants as well as the surrounding tissues.In order to enhance the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys,in this study,the ZEK100 magnesium alloy was pre-deformed with a highpressure torsion(HPT)process and then fabricated hydroxyapatite(HA)coatings with different contents of Mg(OH)2 nanopowder via hydrothermal method.The specimens were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).At the same time,prior and after the HPT procedure,the metallography,microhardness and tensile tests of specimens were characterized.Meanwhile,the corrosion behavior of the specimens was evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and hydrogen evolution tests.And the interface bonding strength of the HA coating on the magnesium alloy substrate was evaluated by a tape adhesion test/scratch test.Results showed that HPT processing refined the grain size and introduced a great number of twins,resulting in the enhancement of microhardness and Young’s modulus of ZEK100 magnesium alloy,but hardness values at the edge were higher than those at the center due to the uneven shear strain.At the same conditions,the HA coating on HPT-ZEK was denser,thicker than that on ZEK sample and the crystal sizes of HA were smaller on HPT-ZEK.These were attributed to fine,uniform distributed secondary phases and lots of fine grains,twins,grain boundaries in HPT-ZEK substrates which can provide more nucleation sites for the HA crystal.In terms of the amount of Mg(OH)2 nanopowder,Mg(OH)2 nanopowder significantly influenced the microstructure and thickness of the HA coating.And at a 0.3 mg/mL content of Mg(OH)2 nanopowder,there was the densest,thickest HA coating on magnesium alloys,and the crystal size of HA was minimum.Specifically,the HA coating thickness on ZEK-03(0.3 mg/mL Mg(OH)2 nanopowder)was 1.8 times of that on ZEK-00(0 mg/mL Mg(OH)2 nanopowder),while the HA coating thickness on HPT-03 was 2.6 times of that on ZEK-00.And the adhesion strength of HA coating on HPT-03 substrate was better than that on ZEK-03.In addition,HPT technology and surface modification by HA coating simultaneously increased the corrosion resistance of ZEK100 magnesium alloy and the corrosion of HPT-ZEK samples occurred in a more uniform manner,while it was pitting on the surface of ZEK100 magnesium alloy.Therefore,there was the best corrosion resistance on HPT-03 sample,which could promote the application of magnesium alloys in biomedical fields. | Qite Li Wenbo Ye Hong Gao Lilan Gao | 2019 | 医用生物力学2019,34,A01: | 5 |

| 3 | A low-cost green approach for synthesis of lead oxide from waste lead ash for use in new lead-acid batteries显示文摘This paper proposes a novel method relating to the recycling of waste lead ash originated from procedure of lead alloy production.The spent lead ash was first disposed by acetic acid leaching system,where lead ash structure wrapping impurities would be destroyed.The synthesis of lead oxide products was conducted at a lower temperature of 90℃.The effect of molar ratio of CH3 COOH to lead content of the ash on leaching efficiency was studied through the acetic acid leaching system.The results demonstrate that 84.6%of lead could be obtained in the leaching solution,while merely 0.7%of Fe blend in solution within a leaching time of 120 min.In the stage of lead oxide synthesis from leaching solution,the yield of lead oxide products could reach up to 94.4%when the molar ratio of NaOH to lead in filtrate was 2.5.This novel green method could shed light on the reuse of lead from exhausted ash with a much more convenient and environmentally friendly procedure. | Wei Zhang Gang Tang Xiaoqin Xiang Renyu Wang Shuangquan Gao Xinfeng Zhu Qiting Zuo | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,7: | 2 |

| 13 | Climate Change and its Impact on Water Resources in the Huai River Basin显示文摘Rainfall and air temperature data from six meteorological stations above the Bengbu Sluice and hydrological and water resources evaluation data from the Bengbu Hydrological Station in the Huai River Basin from 1961 to 2008 are used to analyze the impact of changes in climatic factors on the amount of water resources in the Basin. There was a general trend of rise in its average annual air temperature, with the highest increase of 0.289oC/10a recorded at Bengbu in Anhui Province. Rising rainfall was mainly observed in the western part of the study area, while rainfall actually declined in the eastern part, i.e. the middle reaches of the Huai River. The Average rainfall in the study area was in a vaguely declining trend. In other words, the rainfall in the Basin is still much affected by natural fluctuations. On the whole, there was a trend of gradual decrease in the quantity of the Basin's water resources for the period under study. Water resources quantity is found to fall with decreasing rainfall and rising air temperature. Regression analysis is used to establish a mathematical model between water resources quantity and climatic factors (i.e. air temperature and rainfall) in order to explore the impact of climate change on water resources in the Basin. Moreover, various scenarios are set to quantitatively analyze the response of water resources to climate change. | 16 | Blockage of ATPase-mediated energy supply inducing metabolic disturbances in algal cells under silver nanoparticles stress显示文摘Adenosine triphosphate(ATP)generation of aquatic organisms is often subject to nanoparticles(NPs)stress,involving extensive reprogramming of gene expression and changes in enzyme activity accompanied by metabolic disturbances.However,little is known about the mechanism of energy supply by ATP to regulate the metabolism of aquatic organisms under NPs stress.Here,we selected extensively existing silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)to investigate their implications on ATP generation and relevant metabolic pathways in alga(Chlorella vulgaris).Results showed that ATP content significantly decreased by 94.2%of the control(without AgNPs)in the algal cells at 0.20 mg/L AgNPs,which was mainly attributed to the reduction of chloroplast ATPase activity(81.4%)and the downregulation of ATPase-coding genes atpB and atpH(74.5%-82.8%)in chloroplast.Molecular dynamics simulations demonstrated that AgNPs competed with the binding sites of substrates adenosine diphosphate and inorganic phosphate by forming a stable complex with ATPase subunit beta,potentially resulting in the reduced binding efficiency of substrates.Furthermore,metabolomics analysis proved that the ATP content positively correlated with the content of most differential metabolites such as D-talose,myo-inositol,and L-allothreonine.AgNPs remarkably inhibited ATPinvolving metabolic pathways,including inositol phosphate metabolism,phosphatidylinositol signaling system,glycerophospholipid metabolism,aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis,and glutathione metabolism.These results could provide a deep understanding of energy supply in regulating metabolic disturbances under NPs stress. | Ruohua Qu Mi Chen Jingfu Liu Qiting Xie Na Liu Fei Ge | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,9: | 1 |

| 19 | Land use/land cover change responses to ecological water conveyance in the lower reaches of Tarim River,China显示文摘The Tarim River is the longest inland river in China and is considered as an important river to protect the oasis economy and environment of the Tarim Basin.However,excessive exploitation and over-utilization of natural resources,particularly water resources,have triggered a series of ecological and environmental problems,such as the reduction in the volume of water in the main river,deterioration of water quality,drying up of downstream rivers,degradation of vegetation,and land desertification.In this study,the land use/land cover change(LUCC)responses to ecological water conveyance in the lower reaches of the Tarim River were investigated using ENVI(Environment for Visualizing Images)and GIS(Geographic Information System)data analysis software for the period of 1990-2018.Multi-temporal remote sensing images and ecological water conveyance data from 1990 to 2018 were used.The results indicate that LUCC covered an area of 2644.34 km^(2) during this period,accounting for 15.79%of the total study area.From 1990 to 2018,wetland,farmland,forestland,and artificial surfaces increased by 533.42 km^(2)(216.77%),446.68 km^(2)(123.66%),284.55 km^(2)(5.67%),and 57.51 km^(2)(217.96%),respectively,whereas areas covered by grassland and other land use/land cover types,such as Gobi,bare soil,and deserts,decreased by 103.34 km2(14.31%)and 1218.83 km2(11.75%),respectively.Vegetation area decreased first and then increased,with the order of 2010<2000<1990<2018.LUCC in the overflow and stagnant areas in the lower reaches of the Tarim River was mainly characterized by fragmentation,irregularity,and complexity.By analyzing the LUCC responses to 19 rounds of ecological water conveyance in the lower reaches of the Tarim River from 2000 to the end of 2018,we proposed guidelines for the rational development and utilization of water and soil resources and formulation of strategies for the sustainable development of the lower reaches of the Tarim River.This study provides scientific guidance for optimal scheduling of water resources in the region. | WANG Shanshan ZHOU Kefa ZUO Qiting WANG Jinlin WANG Wei | 2021 | Journal of Arid Land2021,13,12: | 0 |
| 20 | Transcriptome-wide profiling of RNA N^(4)-cytidine acetylation in Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa显示文摘Acetylation of N^(4)-cytidine(ac^(4)C)has recently been discovered as a novel modification of mRNA.RNA ac^(4)C modification has been shown to be a key regulator of RNA stability,RNA translation,and the thermal stress response.However,its existence in eukaryotic mRNAs is still controversial.In plants,the existence,distribution pattern,and potential function of RNA ac^(4)C modification are largely unknown.Here we report the presence of ac^(4)C in the mRNAs of both Arabidopsis thaliana and rice(Oryza sativa).By comparing two ac^(4)C sequencing methods,we found that RNA immunoprecipitation and sequencing(acRIP-seq),but not ac^(4)C sequencing,was suitable for plant RNA ac^(4)C sequencing.We present transcriptome-wide atlases of RNA ac^(4)C modification in A.thaliana and rice mRNAs obtained by acRIP-seq.Analysis of the distribution of RNA ac^(4)C modifications showed that ac^(4)C is enriched near translation start sites in rice mRNAs and near translation start sites and translation end sites in Arabidopsis mRNAs.The RNA ac^(4)C modification level is positively correlated with RNA half-life and the number of splicing variants.Similar to that in mammals,the translation efficiency of ac^(4)C target genes is significantly higher than that of other genes.Our in vitro translation results confirmed that RNA ac^(4)C modification enhances translation efficiency.We also found that RNA ac^(4)C modification is negatively correlated with RNA structure.These results suggest that ac^(4)C is a conserved mRNA modification in plants that contributes to RNA stability,splicing,translation,and secondary structure formation. | Bin Li Donghao Li Linjun Cai Qiting Zhou Cong Liu Jianzhong Lin Yixing Li Xiaoying Zhao Li Li Xuanming Liu Chongsheng He | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,6: | 0 |
