1Measurement and assessment of water resources carrying capacity in Henan Province, China显示文摘As demands on limited water resources intensify, concerns are being raised about water resources carrying capacity(WRCC), which is defined as the maximum sustainable socioeconomic scale that can be supported by available water resources and while maintaining defined environmental conditions. This paper proposes a distributed quantitative model for WRCC, based on the principles of optimization, and considering hydro-economic interaction, water supply, water quality, and socioeconomic development constraints. With the model, the WRCCs of 60 subregions in Henan Province were determined for different development periods. The results showed that the water resources carrying level of Henan Province was suitably loaded in 2010, but that the province would be mildly overloaded in 2030 with respect to the socioeconomic development planning goals. The restricting factors for WRCC included the available water resources, the increasing rate of GDP, the urbanization ratio, the irrigation water utilization coefficient, the industrial water recycling rate, and the wastewater reuse rate, of which the available water resources was the most crucial factor. 2POLYMERIZATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HIGH CONDUCTIVITY AND GOOD ADHENSION POLYPYRROLE FILMS FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE SHIELDING显示文摘Polypyrrole(PPy) shows a favorable application in the electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding due to its good electrical conductivity and outstanding air stability.Conducting PPy films with high conductivity and good adhesion were successfully polymerized on the surface of insulating epoxy resin substrates using chemical polymerization.The factors affecting the properties of PPy films,such as the surface morphology,adhesion between PPy film and substrate,electrical conductivity,EMI shielding effectiveness(SE),were investigated.The adhesion was improved significantly through a three-step surface pretreatment of epoxy resin substrates including removing impurities,roughening,and surface modification with silane coupling agent.An enhancement in the conductivity of PPy films of about one order of magnitude was achieved by adding dopant in FeCl_3 solution.The higher the conductivity,the better the shielding effectiveness.Taking sodium p-toluenesulfonate doped PPy film as example,EMI SE was in the practically useful range of about 30 dB over a wide frequency range from 30 MHz to 1500 MHz.The PPy film samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),infrared spectra(IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and the flange coaxial transmission device.The fourpoint probe method was used to measure conductivity of PPy films.Yong-sheng Qiao La-zhen Shen Tao Dou Ming Hu 2010Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2010,28,6:9
3New C(21) steroidal glycoside from Cynanchum paniculatum显示文摘A new C21 steroidal glycoside, neocynapanogenin F 3-O-β-D-thevetoside 1, as well as its known aglycone neocynapanogenin F 2, which have an aberrant 13, 14:14, 15-disecopregnane-type skeleton were isolated from the root of Cynanchum paniculatum.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis. 4Anti-proteolytic capacity and bonding durability of proanthocyanidin-biomodified demineralized dentin matrix显示文摘Our previous studies showed that biomodification of demineralized dentin collagen with proanthocyanidin(PA) for a clinically practical duration improves the mechanical properties of the dentin matrix and the immediate resin–dentin bond strength. The present study sought to evaluate the ability of PA biomodification to reduce collagenase-induced biodegradation of demineralized dentin matrix and dentin/adhesive interfaces in a clinically relevant manner. The effects of collagenolytic and gelatinolytic activity on PA-biomodified demineralized dentin matrix were analysed by hydroxyproline assay and gelatin zymography. Then, resin-/dentin-bonded specimens were prepared and challenged with bacterial collagenases. Dentin treated with 2% chlorhexidine and untreated dentin were used as a positive and negative control, respectively. Collagen biodegradation, the microtensile bond strengths of bonded specimens and the micromorphologies of the fractured interfaces were assessed. The results revealed that both collagenolytic and gelatinolytic activity on demineralized dentin were notably inhibited in the PA-biomodified groups, irrespective of PA concentration and biomodification duration. When challenged with exogenous collagenases, PA-biomodified bonded specimens exhibited significantly less biodegradation and maintained higher bond strengths than the untreated control. These results suggest that PA biomodification was effective at inhibiting proteolytic activity on demineralized dentin matrix and at stabilizing the adhesive/dentin interface against enzymatic degradation, is a new concept that has the potential to improve bonding durability.Rui-Rui Liu Ming Fang Ling Zhang Cheng-Fang Tang Qi Dou Ji-Hua Chen 2014International Journal of Oral Science2014,6,3:8
5Pt/WO_3/C nanocomposite with parallel WO_3 nanorods as cathode catalyst for proton exchange membrane fuel cells显示文摘Pt/WO3/C nanocomposites with parallel WO3 nanorods were synthesized and applied as the cathode catalyst for proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs). Electrochemical results and single cell tests show that an enhanced activity for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is obtained for the Pt/WO3/C catalyst compared with Pt/C. The higher catalytic activity might be ascribed to the improved Pt dispersion with smaller particle sizes. The Pt/WO3/C catalyst also exhibits a good electrochemical stability under potential cycling. 6Targeting of anti-microbial proteins to the hyphal surface amplifies protection of crop plants against Phytophthora pathogens显示文摘Phytophthora pathogens are a persistent threat to the world's commercially important agricultural crops,including potato and soybean.Current strategies aim at reducing crop losses rely mostly on disease-resistance breeding and chemical pesticides,which can be frequently overcome by the rapid adaptive evolution of pathogens.Transgenic crops with intrinsic disease resista nee offer a promising alternative and con tinue to be developed.Here,we explored Phytophthora-derived PI3P(phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate)as a novel control target,using proteins that bind this lipid to direct secreted anti-microbial peptides and proteins(AMPs)to the surface of Phytophthora pathogens.In transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana,soybean,and potato plants,significantly enhanced resistance to different pathogen isolates was achieved by expression of two AMPs(GAFP1 or GAFP3 from the Chinese medicinal herb Gastrodia elata)fused with a PI3P-specific binding domain(FYVE).Using the soybean pathogen P.sojae as an example,we demonstrated that the FYVE domain could boost the activities of GAFPs in multiple independent assays,including those performed in vitro,in vivo,and in planta.Mutational analysis of P.sojae PI3K1 and PI3K2 genes of this pathogen confirmed that the enhanced activities of the targeted GAFPs were correlated with PI3P levels in the pathogen.Collectively,our study provides a new strategy that could be used to confer resistance not only to Phytophthora pathogens in many plants but also potentially to many other kinds of plant pathogens with unique targets.Yang Zhou Kun Yang Qiang Yan Xiaodan Wang Ming Cheng Jierui Si Xue Xue Danyu Shen Maofeng Jing Brett M.Tyler Daolong Dou 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,8:2
7Effects of a Multivitamin/multimineral Supplement on Young Males with Physical Overtraining: A Placebo-controlled, Randomized, Double-blinded Cross-over Trial显示文摘Objective To investigate the effects of vitamin-mineral supplement on young males with physical overtraining. Methods Two hundred and forty male Chinese field artillery personnel who undertook large scale and endurance military training and were on ordinary Chinese diet were randomized to receive a multivitamin/multimineral supplement or a placebo for 1 week. After a 1-week wash-out period, a cross-over with 1 week course of a placebo or multivitamin/multimineral supplement was conducted. Blood and urine samples were analyzed for adrenal, gonadal and thyroid hormones. In addition, cellular immune parameters (CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, CD4/CD8, CD3-CD56+, CD3-CD19+) were examined and psychological tests were performed before and after the training program and nutrition intervention. Results After a large scale and endurance military training, the participants showed significantly increased thyroid function, decreased adrenal cortex, testosterone and immunological function, and significantly increased somatization, anger and tension. Compared to placebo, multivitamin/ multimineral intervention showed significant effects on functional recovery of the pituitary-adrenal axis, pituitary-gonadal axis, pituitary-thyroid axis and immune system as well as psychological parameters. Conclusion High-intensity military operations have significant impacts on the psychology, physical ability and neuroendocrine-immune system in young males. 10Design and Experimental Study of A Pile-Based Breakwater Integrated with OWC Chamber显示文摘A structure scheme of a pile-based breakwater with integrated oscillating water column(OWC)energy conversion chamber was proposed,and four structure forms had been designed.Based on the physical test,the variations of the reflected wave height,the transmitted wave height,the air velocity at the outlet of the chamber,the air pressure and the wave height in the air chamber were studied under the conditions of different wave heights,periods,with or without elliptical front wall and the baffles on both sides of the chamber.Moreover,based on the results,the changes and relationship between the wave-eliminating effect and energy conversion effect of the scheme were analyzed.In general,it turns out,the transmission coefficients of the four structure forms are kept below 0.5.Furthermore,the transmission coefficients of the structural forms G2,G3,and G4 were all smaller than 0.4,and it is only 0.1 at its smallest.Thereinto,in general,the structure form G4 has the best wave-eliminating and energy conversion performance.At the same time,when the wave steepness is 0.066,the energy conversion and wave dissipation effect of the four structure forms is the best.The research results could be provided as the reference for the design structure selection of pile-based breakwater with integrated OWC energy conversion chamber.QU Ming YU Ding-yong DOU Zhi-hao WANG Shi-lin 2021China Ocean Engineering2021,35,3:1
