| 1 | A comparison of the energy consumption and carbon emissions for different modes of transportation in open-cut coal mines显示文摘Transportation accounts for 80% of open-cut coal mine carbon emissions.With regard to the energy consumption and carbon emissions of transportation within an open-cut mine,this paper systematically compared the work and energy consumption of a truck and belt conveyor on a theoretical basis,and constructed a model to calculate the energy consumption of open-cut mine transportation.Life cycle carbon emission factors and power consumption calculation model were established through a Process Analysis–Life Cycle Analysis(PA–LCA).The following results were obtained:(1) the energy consumption of truck transportation was four to twelve times higher than that of the belt conveyor;(2) the CO2 emissions from truck transportation were three to ten times higher than those of the belt conveyor;(3) with the increase in the slope angle for transportation,the ratio of truck to belt conveyor for both energy consumption and carbon emissions gradually decreased;(4) based on 2013 prices in China,the energy cost of transportation using a belt conveyor in open-cut coal mines could save 0.6–2.4 Yuan/(t km) compared to truck transportation. | Liu Fuming Cai Qingxiang Chen Shuzhao Zhou Wei | 2015 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,2: | 12 |
| 2 | Signaling pathways in cancer-associated fibroblasts and targeted therapy for cancer显示文摘To flourish,cancers greatly depend on their surrounding tumor microenvironment(TME),and cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)in TME are critical for cancer occurrence and progression because of their versatile roles in extracellular matrix remodeling,maintenance of sternness,blood vessel formation,modulation of tumor metabolism,immune response,and promotion of cancer cell proliferation,migration,invasion,and therapeutic resistance.CAFs are highly heterogeneous stromal cells and their crosstalk with cancer cells is mediated by a complex and intricate signaling network consisting of transforming growth factor-beta,phosphoinositide 3-kinase/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin,mitogen-activated protein kinase,Wnt,Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription,epidermal growth factor receptor,Hippo,and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells,etc.,signaling pathways.These signals in CAFs exhibit their own special characteristics during the cancer progression and have the potential to be targeted for anticancer therapy.Therefore,a comprehensive understanding of these signaling cascades in interactions between cancer cells and CAFs is necessary to fully realize the pivotal roles of CAFs in cancers.Herein,in this review,we will summarize the enormous amounts of findings on the signals mediating crosstalk of CAFs with cancer cells and its related targets or trials.Further,we hypothesize three potential targeting strategies,including,namely,epithelial-mesenchymal common targets,sequential target perturbation,and crosstalk-directed signaling targets,paving the way for CAF-directed or host cell-directed antitumor therapy. | Fanglong Wu Jin Yang Junjiang Liu Ye Wang Jingtian Mu Qingxiang Zeng Shuzhi Deng Hongmei Zhou | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7: | 9 |
| 3 | 3D stability analysis method of concave slope based on the Bishop method显示文摘In order to study the stability control mechanism of a concave slope with circular landslide, and remove the influence of differences in shape on slope stability, the limit analysis method of a simplified Bishop method was employed. The sliding body was divided into strips in a three-dimensional model, and the lateral earth pressure was put into mechanical analysis and the three-dimensional stability analysis methods applicable for circular sliding in concave slope were deduced. Based on geometric structure and the geological parameters of a concave slope, the influence rule of curvature radius and the top and bottom arch height on the concave slope stability were analyzed. The results show that the stability coefficient decreases after growth, first in the transition stage of slope shape from flat to concave, and it has been confirmed that there is a best size to make the slope stability factor reach a maximum. | 4 | Synthesis of a reduction-sensitive Bletilla striata polysaccharide amphiphilic copolymer显示文摘Recently, much special attention has been focused on the development of amphiphilic copolymers.Herein, a reduction-sensitive stearic acid grafted-Bletilla striata polysaccharide copolymer(BSP-ss-SA)was synthesized and characterized. BSP-ss-SA copolymer could spontaneously form micelles with an average particle size of(106 ? 4.36) nm. Particle sizes were dramatically larger under 10 mmol/L dithiothreitol(DTT) than that in absence of 10 mmol/L DTT. Docetaxel loading content and encapsulation efficiency of micelles were 5.94 wt% and 72.75 wt%, respectively. The docetaxel release rate in vitro in micelles could be remarkably accelerated in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer solution(PBS) containing 10 mmol/L DTT compared with that of micelles(0 mmol/L DTT). Furthermore, MTT results demonstrated the anticancer activities in vitro of docetaxel-loaded BSP-ss-SA micelles on HepG2 were superior to that of docetaxel injection. | 7 | ISAR cross-range scaling based on the MUSIC technique显示文摘Cross-range scaling plays an important role in the inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) imaging. Many of the published cross-range scaling algorithms are based on the fast Fourier transformation(FFT). However, the FFT technique is resolution limited, so that the FFT-based algorithms will fail in the rotation velocity(RV) estimation of the slow rotation target. In this paper,we propose an accurate cross-range scaling algorithm based on the multiple signal classification(MUSIC) method. We first select some range bins with the mono-component linear frequency modulated(LFM) signal model. Then, we dechirp the signal of each selected range bin into the form of sinusoidal signal, and utilize the super-resolution MUSIC technique to accurately estimate the frequency. After processing all the range bins, a linear relationship related to the RV can be obtained. Eventually, the ISAR image can be scaled. The proposal can precisely estimate the small RV of the slow rotation target with low computational complexity. Furthermore, the proposal can also be used in the case of cross-range scaling for the sparse aperture data. | 9 | Monodisperse amino-modified nanosized zero-valent iron for selective and recyclable removal of TNT: Synthesis, characterization, and removal mechanism显示文摘Nitroaromatic explosives are major pollutants produced during wars that cause serious environmental and health problems. The removal of a typical nitroaromatic explosive, 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT), from aqueous solution, was conducted using a new recyclable magnetic nano-adsorbent(Fe@SiO_(2) –NH_(2)). This adsorbent was prepared by grafting amino groups onto Fe@SiO_(2) particles with a well-defined core-shell structure and demonstrated monodispersity in solution. The removal performance of the nano-adsorbent towards TNT was found to be 2.57 and 4.92 times higher than that towards two analogous explosives, 2,4-dinitrotoluene(2,4-DNT) and 2-nitrotoluene(2-NT), respectively, under neutral conditions. The difference in the removal performance among the three compounds was further compared in terms of the effects of different conditions(pH value, ionic strength, humic acid concentration, adsorbent modification degree and dosage, etc.) and the electrostatic potential distributions of the three compounds. The most significant elevation is owing to modification of amino on Fe@SiO_(2) which made a 20.7% increase in adsorption efficiency of TNT. The experimental data were well fit by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Freundlich adsorption isotherm model, indicating multilayer adsorption on a heterogeneous surface. The experimental results and theoretical considerations show that the interactions between Fe@SiO_(2) –NH_(2) NPs and TNT correspond to dipole-dipole and hydrophobic interactions. These interactions should be considered in the design of an adsorbent. | 12 | Calculation of slope-cover height under price fluctuation in open-pit mines显示文摘Leaving ditches between adjacent mining areas can effectively reduce re-stripping in the latter mining area and simultaneously lead to an increment in internal dumping costs in the former mining area. This paper establishes calculation models for these two marginal costs. The optimizing model for slope cover height can be determined by including marginal cost models in the objective function. The paper has two main contributions:(a) it fully considers redistribution of dumping space in the model;(b) it introduces price fluctuations and cash discounts in the model. We use the typical open-pit mine as an example to test and prove the model. | 15 | Enumeration and molecular characterization of circulating tumor cell using an in vivo capture system in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck显示文摘Objective: Detection rate and isolation yield of circulating tumor cell(CTC) are low in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck(SCCHN) with in vitro approaches due to limited sample volumes. In this study, we applied the Cell Collector to capture CTC in vivo from peripheral blood.Methods: In total, the study included 22 cases with 37 times of detection. All of the patients were newly diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic SCCHN, including laryngocarcinoma(40.9%, 9/22) and hypopharyngeal carcinoma(59.1%, 13/22). All patients received CTC analysis before treatment. Three patients received induction chemotherapy. Sixteen patients received surgical therapy, of which 13 patients received postoperative detection. Two patients received both induction chemotherapy and surgery treatment. Patients underwent two successive Cell Collector applications 24 h before and 7 d after surgical therapy. Nine healthy volunteers were enrolled as the control group. Epidermal growth factor receptor variant type Ⅲ(EGFRⅧ)expression was analyzed with fluorescent dye labeled antibody.Results: With Cell Collector isolation, 72.7%(16/22) of the patients were positive for ≥1 CTC(CTC; range,1–17 cells) before treatments and 46.7%(7/15) of patients were CTC positive for ≥1 CTC(CTC; range, 1–29 cells) after surgical therapy. Moreover, the detection rate of Cell Collector(82.4%, 14/17; CTC count range, 0–17)in advanced SCCHN(stage Ⅲ–Ⅳ) was much higher than that in early stages(stage Ⅰ–Ⅱ, 40.0%, 2/5; CTC count range, 0–2)(P<0.05). EGFRⅧ expression of CTC was also analyzed with fluorescence staining.
