1The effect of surface roughness on thermal-elasto-hydrodynamic model of contact mechanical seals显示文摘In this paper,the effect of surface roughness on sealing clearance,pressure distribution,friction torque and leakage is studied by the thermal-elasto-hydrodynamic mixed lubrication model.A convergent nominal clearance is formed by the pressure deformation and thermal deformation of the seal faces.This causes more serious wear in the inner side than that of the outer side of the contact area.Mass leakage increases with the growing of the surface roughness.The temperature and thermal deformation on the seal surface increases substantially if the roughness is reduced.The contact mechanical seals have consistent performance when the standard deviation of surface roughness is approximately 0.2μm.In order to validate the theoretical analysis model,a method combining the measurement of three-dimensioned profile and Raman spectrum is proposed.WEN QingFeng LIU Ying HUANG WeiFeng SUO ShuangFu WANG YuMing 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,10:13
2Frictional performance of silicon carbide under different lubrication conditions显示文摘The frictional performance of materials used in face seals is critical to the sealing performance.Silicon carbide is commonly used in hard rings because of its abrasion resistance,corrosion resistance,and thermal shock resistance.In this study,the frictional performance of silicon carbide,including graphite-added silicon carbide,under water and lubrication-absent conditions was studied by using a Falex-1506 tribotester and different working parameters.In addition,the morphology of the worn surfaces was observed using scanning electron microscopy and the damage was characterized to understand the tribological behavior of different silicon carbides.The results suggest that the friction coefficients decrease with increasing pressure under water lubrication conditions because of the water within the holes on the surface of the materials.The percentage of water lubrication increases,whereas the percentage of solid friction decreases when the pressure increases.Under dry contact conditions,the friction coefficients change negligibly with increasing pressure and graphite-added silicon carbide shows better frictional performance.Xingyu ZHAO Ying LIU Qingfeng WEN Yuming WANG 2014Friction2014,2,1:5

8Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 14Tunable Multicolor Fluorescence of Perovskite-Based Composites for Optical Steganography and Light-Emitting Devices显示文摘Multicolor fluorescence of mixed halide perovskites enormously enables their applications in photonics and optoelectronics.However,it remains an arduous task to obtain multicolor emissions from perovskites containing single halogen to avoid phase segregation.Herein,a fluorescent composite containing Eu-based metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),OD Cs PbBre,and 3D CsPbBrs is synthesized.Under excitations at 365 nm and 254nm,the pristine composite emits blue(B)and red(R)fluorescence,which are ascribed to radiative defects within CsPbBr and 5Do→7F,transitions of Eu^(3+),respectively.Interestingly,after light soaking in the ambient environment,the blue fluorescence gradually converts into green(G)emission due to the defect repairing and 0D-3D phase conversion.This permanent and unique photochromic effect enables anticounterfeiting and microsteganography with increased security through a micropatterning technique.Moreover,the RGB luminescence is highly stable after encapsulation by a transparent polymer layer.Thus,trichromatic light-emitting modules are fabricated by using the fluorescent composites as color-converting layers,which almost fully cover the standard color gamut.Therefore,this work innovates a strategy for construction of tunable multicolor luminescence by manipulating the radiative defects and structural dimensionality.Kewei Ma Qingfeng Gui Cihui Liu Yunyi Yang Fangjian Xing Yunsong Di Xiaoming Wen Baohua Jia Zhixing Gan 2023Research2023,,1:0
15MDC-Net:a multi-directional constrained and prior assisted neural network for wood and leaf separation from terrestrial laser scanning显示文摘Wood-leaf separation from terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)is a crucial prerequisite for quantifying many biophysical properties and understanding ecological functions.In this study,we propose a novel multi-directional collaborative convolutional neural network(MDC-Net)that takes the original 3D coordinates and useful features from prior knowledge(prior features)as input,and outputs the semantic labels of TLS point clouds.The MDC-Net contains two key units:(1)a multi-directional neighborhood construction(MDNC)unit to obtain more representative neighbors and enable directionally aware feature encoding in the subsequent local feature extraction,to mitigate occlusion effects;(2)a collaborative feature encoding(CFE)unit is introduced to incorporate useful features from prior knowledge into the network through a collaborative cross coding to enhance the discrimination for thin structures(e.g.small branches and leaf).The MDC-Net is evaluated onfive plots from forests in Guangxi,China,with different branch architectures and leaf distributions.Experimental results showed that the MDC-Net achieved an OA of 0.973 and a mIoU of 0.821 and outperformed other related methods.We believe the MDC-Net would facilitate the usage of TLS in ecology studies for quantifying tree size and morphology and thus promote the development of relevant ecological applications.Wenxia Dai Yiheng Jiang Wen Zeng Ruibo Chen Yongyang Xu Ningning Zhu Wen Xiao Zhen Dong Qingfeng Guan 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:0
16Multifunctionalized carbon-fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketone implant for rapid osseointegration under infected environment显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone(CFRPEEK)possesses a similar elastic modulus to that of human cortical bone and is considered as a promising candidate to replace metallic implants.However,the bioinertness and deficiency of antibacterial activities impede its application in orthopedic and dentistry.In this work,titanium plasma immersion ion implantation(Ti-PⅢ)is applied to modify CFRPEEK,achieving unique multi-hierarchical nanostructures and active sites on the surface.Then,hybrid polydopamine(PDA)@ZnO-EDN1 nanoparticles(NPs)are introduced to construct versatile surfaces with improved osteogenic and angiogenic properties and excellent antibacterial properties.Our study established that the modified CFRPEEK presented favorable stability and cytocompatibility.Compared with bare CFRPEEK,improved osteogenic differentiation of rat mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)and vascularization of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)are found on the functionalized surface due to the zinc ions and EDN1 releasing.In vitro bacteriostasis assay confirms that hybrid PDA@ZnO NPs on the functionalized surface provided an effective antibacterial effect.Moreover,the rat infected model corroborates the enhanced antibiosis and osteointegration of the functionalized CFRPEEK.Our findings indicate that the multilevel nanostructured PDA@ZnO-EDN1 coated CFRPEEK with enhanced antibacterial,angiogenic,and osteogenic capacity has great potential as an orthopedic/dental implant material for clinical application.Xiao Wang Lisha Pan Ao Zheng Lingyan Cao Jin Wen Tingshu Su Xiangkai Zhang Qingfeng Huang Xinquan Jiang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,6:0
17Bone-inspired(GNEC/HAPAAm)hydrogel with fatigue-resistance for use in underwater robots and highly piezoresistive sensors显示文摘A novel bone-inspired fatigue-resistant hydrogel with excellent mechanical and piezoresistive properties was developed,and it exhibited great potential as a load and strain sensor for underwater robotics and daily monitoring.The hydrogel was created by using the high edge density and aspect ratio of graphene nanosheet-embedded carbon(GNEC)nanomaterials to form a three-dimensional conductive network and prevent the expansion of microcracks in the hydrogel system.Multiscale progressive enhancement of the organic hydrogels(micrometer scale)was realized with inorganic graphene nanosheets(nanometer scale).The graphene nanocrystals inside the GNEC film exhibited good electron transport properties,and the increased distances between the graphene nanocrystals inside the GNEC film caused by external forces increased the resistance,so the hydrogel was highly sensitive and suitable for connection to a loop for sensing applications.The hydrogels obtained in this work exhibited excellent mechanical properties,such as tensile properties(strain up to 1685%)and strengths(stresses up to 171 kPa),that make them suitable for use as elastic retraction devices in robotics and provide high sensitivities(150 ms)for daily human monitoring.Chaoyang Lyu Bo Wen Yangzhen Bai Daning Luo Xin Wang Qingfeng Zhang Chenyang Xing Tiantian Kong Dongfeng Diao Xi Zhang 2023Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,4:0
