| 1 | Molecular dynamics simulations of atomic-scale friction in diamond-silver sliding system显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to explore the atomic-scale sliding friction, especially the stick-slip friction, in a system consisting of a diamond slider and a silver substrate. The mechanisms of the stick-slip behavior are investigated by considering sliding speeds between 10 m/s and 200 m/s.The analyses of the shear distance between the upmost layer and the downmost layer and displacements of a column of atoms in the slider show that shearing deformation of the slider is the main cause of the stick-slip phenomenon. | 2 | Study of nanoscratching of polymers by using molecular dynamics simulations显示文摘Molecular dynamic simulations are performed to study the nanoscratching behavior of polymers.The effects of scratching depth,scratching velocity and indenter/polymer interaction strength are investigated.It is found that polymer material in the scratching zone around the indenter can be removed in a ductile manner as the local temperature in the scratching zone exceeds glass transition temperature Tg.The recovery of polymer can be more significant when the temperature approaches or exceeds Tg.The tangential force,normal force and friction coefficient increase as the scratching depth increases.A larger scratching velocity leads to more material deformation and higher pile-up.The tangential force and normal force are larger for a larger scratching velocity whereas the friction coefficient is almost independent of the scratching velocities studied.It is also found that stronger indenter/polymer interaction strength results in a larger tangential force and friction coefficient. | YUAN DanDan ZHU PengZhe FANG FengZhou QIU Chen | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,9: | 4 |
| 3 | A risk-prediction score for colorectal lesions on 12,628 participants at high risk of colorectal cancer显示文摘Background The uptake of colonoscopy is low in individuals at risk of colorectal cancer(CRC).We constructed a riskprediction score(RPS)in a large community-based sample at high risk of CRC to enable more accurate risk stratification and to motivate and increase the uptake rate of colonoscopy.Methods A total of 12,628 participants classified as high-risk according to positivity of immunochemical fecal occult blood tests or High-Risk Factor Questionnaire underwent colonoscopy.Logistic regression was used to derive a RPS and analysed the associations of the RPS with colorectal lesions,giving odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Results Of the participants,men(OR=1.73,95%CI=1.58–1.90),older age(≥65 years;1.41,1.31–1.53),higher body mass index(≥28 kg/m^(2);1.22,1.07–1.39),ever smoking(1.47,1.31–1.65),and weekly alcohol use(1.28,1.09–1.52)were associated with a higher risk of colorectal lesions.We assigned 1 point to each of the above five risk factors and derived a RPS ranging from 0 to 5,with a higher score indicating a higher risk.Compared with a RPS of 0,a RPS of 1,2,3,and 4–5 showed a higher risk of colorectal lesions,with the OR(95%CI)being 1.50(1.37–1.63),2.34(2.12–2.59),3.58(3.13–4.10),and 3.91(3.00–5.10),respectively.The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve of RPS in predicting colorectal lesions was 0.62.Conclusions Participants with an increase in the RPS of≥1 point had a significantly higher risk of colorectal lesions,suggesting the urgency for measuring colonoscopy in this very high-risk group.High-risk strategies incorporating RPS may be employed to achieve a higher colonoscopy-uptake rate. | Lixin Liang Yingru Liang Ke Li Pengzhe Qin Guozhen Lin Yan Li Huan Xu Suixiang Wang Qinlong Jing Boheng Liang Lin Xu | 2022 | Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1: | 2 |

| 9 | Effects of pore size on the lubrication properties of porous polyimide retainer material显示文摘An oil-impregnated porous polyimide(PI)retainer is used in space rolling bearings to improve the lubrication performance,which depends on the release of lubricant from the pores,and therefore is closely related to the pore size.To study the effect of pore size,in this work,PI materials with different pore sizes were prepared by preheating the retainer tube billet during the limit pressing process,and then the friction tests were conducted with the ball-on-ring mode.The results show that the applied load deforms the pores,allowing the lubricant to be squeezed out from the pore;the centrifugal effect induced by rotation also makes the lubricant migrate out of the pore.Therefore,for the same pore sizes,the friction coefficients decrease with the increasing loads and rotation speeds.In addition,it was found that there exists an optimal pore size for the best lubrication properties of porous PI material.Furthermore,the optimal pore size should be larger for lubricants with high viscosity.The microscopic mechanism for lubricant outflow from pores is clarified by molecular dynamic simulations.The insights gained in this study can guide the preparation of oil-impregnated porous retainers under different working conditions. | Wenbin CHEN Wenzhong WANG Pengzhe ZHU Xiangyu GE | 2023 | Friction2023,11,8: | 1 |
