1Microbial population dynamics and changes in main nutrients during the acidification process of pig manures显示文摘This study evaluated the impact of pig manure acidification on anaerobic treatment and composition of the fecal microbial community.According to the different chemical oxygen demand (COD) in the anaerobic treatment processes,pig manure was diluted 4 times (×4),16 times (×16),or 64 times (×64) and subjected to acidification.During the acidification process,pH,soluble chemical oxygen demand (SCOD),volatile fatty acids (VFAs),nitrogen (N),phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) were determined along with microbial population dynamics.The pH of the three dilutions first declined,and then slowly increased.The total VFAs of ×4 and ×16 dilutions peaked on day 15 and 20,respectively.The content of acetic acid,propanoic acid,butanoic acid and valeric acid of the × 4 dilution were 23.6,11.4,8.8 and 0.6 g/L respectively,and that of the ×16 dilution was 5.6,2.3,0.9 and 0.2 g/L respectively.Only acetic acid was detected in the ×64 dilution,and its level peaked on day 10.The results showed that the liquid pig manure was more suitable to enter the anaerobic methanogenic bioreactors after two weeks of acidification.During the acidification process,total P concentration increased during the first ten days,then dropped sharply,and rose again to a relatively high final concentration,while total N concentration rose initially and then declined.Based on the analysis of denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and 16S rRNA gene clone library,we concluded that the acidification process reduced the number of pathogenic bacteria species in pig manure.Dongdong Zhang Xufeng Yuan Peng Guo Yali Suo Xiaofen Wang Weidong Wang Zongjun Cui 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3:4

4Vertical Short Crack Initiation in Medium Carbon Bainitic Steel Under Mild Tractive Rolling Contact显示文摘To improve the current grinding procedure of the back-up roll of CVC hot rolling mills so that the back-up roll service life can be extended, the crack initiation and propagation behavior of medium carbon bainitic back-up roll steel was investigated, a kind of asperity-scale, surface originated vertical short cracks occurred at 5×102-1×104 cycles. Theoretical analysis indicated that the maximum tensile stress occurring at the back edge of the contact of asperities keeps at above 1 347.97 MPa, and ratcheting and cyclic plastic deformation take place at such sites within 1×104 cycles. The early initiation of the vertical short cracks is caused by the asperity contact. 10Altered white matter microarchitecture in Parkinson’s disease:a voxel-based meta-analysis of diffusion tensor imaging studies显示文摘This study aimed to define the most consistent white matter microarchitecture pattern in Parkinson’s disease(PD)reflected by fractional anisotropy(FA),addressing clinical profiles and methodology-related heterogeneity.Web-based publication databases were searched to conduct a meta-analysis of whole-brain diffusion tensor imaging studies comparing PD with healthy controls(HC)using the anisotropic effect size–signed differential mapping.A total of 808 patients with PD and 760 HC coming from 27 databases were finally included.Subgroup analyses were conducted considering heterogeneity with respect to medication status,disease stage,analysis methods,and the number of diffusion directions in acquisition.Compared with HC,patients with PD had decreased FA in the left middle cerebellar peduncle,corpus callosum(CC),left inferior fronto-occipital fasciculus,and right inferior longitudinal fasciculus.Most of the main results remained unchanged in subgroup metaanalyses of medicated patients,early stage patients,voxel-based analysis,and acquisition with˂30 diffusion directions.The subgroup meta-analysis of medication-free patients showed FA decrease in the right olfactory cortex.The cerebellum and CC,associated with typical motor impairment,showed the most consistent FA decreases in PD.Medication status,analysis approaches,and the number of diffusion directions have an important impact on the findings,needing careful evaluation in future meta-analyses.Xueling Suo Du Lei Wenbin Li Lei Li Jing Dai Song Wang Nannan Li Lan Cheng Rong Peng Graham J Kemp Qiyong Gong 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,1:0

14Cube texture formation of Ni9.3W alloy substrates:preparation by optimized deformation sequence and anneal process显示文摘The Ni9.3 W alloy with no ferromagnetism and high yield strength is one of the most promising textured substrate materials for coated conductors,but its low stacking fault energy makes it difficult to obtain a strong cube texture by traditional rolling methods and recrystallization anneals.This paper introduces four-time static recoveries during the rolling process.Rolled tapes with80 μm in thickness were obtained by applying various deformation sequences between static recoveries to study their effects on the cube texture formation in Ni9.3 W alloy substrates.The results show that rising gradient deformation sequence is an advantageous way to obtain a higher amount of cube texture,its content increases by 29.2%compared to that of traditional deformation sequence.The effect of the new recrystallization annealing process on the cube texture formation was analyzed.It is shown that the cube texture content increases with anneal temperature increasing in one-step anneal,but decreases again at higher anneal temperature.Two-step anneal could effectively improve the cube texture content,which could be further enhanced by extending holding time during the first-step anneal.However,too long holding time leads to the decrease in cube texture content.Finally,Ni9.3 W alloy substrates with a cube texture content of ~90.0 vol%(<15°) are obtained by optimized two-step anneal.Fa-Xue Peng Hong-Li Suo Lin Ma Hui Tian Min Liu Jing Liu Dan Yu Yi-Chen Meng 2018Rare Metals2018,37,8:0

16Ultrafast photocarrier and coherent phonon dynamics in type-II Dirac semimetal PtTe2 thin films probed by optical spectroscopy显示文摘We report the ultrafast photocarrier dynamics and coherent phonon excitation in type-II Dirac semimetal platinum ditelluride(PtTe2)thin films via femtosecond(fs)pump-probe spectroscopy at room temperature.Quantitative analysis revealed that the incoherent electronic relaxation consists of two components:a subpicosecond fast relaxation process and a slow component with a time constant of hundreds of picoseconds(ps).Furthermore,the launch of a coherent acoustic phonon(CAP)in the 20 nm film but absence in the 6.8 nm film uncovers the dominant role of temperature gradient in producing a strain wave.The sound velocity and Young’s modulus in the thick PtTe_(2) are determined to be 1.736 km/s and 29.5 GPa,respectively.In addition,the coherent optical phonon(COP)with a frequency of 4.7 THz corresponding to Te atoms out-of-plane A1g vibration has been well resolved in all films,which is ascribed to displacive excitation of coherent phonon(DECP).The observation of a strong probe-wavelength dependent COP amplitude reveals the resonant feature of the optical excitation-induced atomic displacement in PtTe2.Our findings provide deep insight into the excitation and dynamics of CAP and COP as well as the photocarriers’recovery pathway and lifetimes in PtTe_(2).Our study also demonstrates that the COP spectroscopy is a powerful tool to reveal the modulation of frequency-dependent optical constants induced by atomic vibrations,which may find applications in the fields of optoelectronics and ultrafast photonics.Peng Suo Shengnan Yan Ruihua Pu Wenjie Zhang Di Li Jiaming Chen Jibo Fu Xian Lin Feng Miao Shi-Jun Liang Weimin Liu Guohong Ma 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:0

19New measurement method of displacement susceptibility based on time‐domain current and potential combined spectra显示文摘Displacement susceptibility is a very important parameter to characterise the displacement polarisation of dielectrics.Two methods based on the time‐domain current and potential combined spectra are proposed to measure the displacement susceptibility.One is based on the time‐domain polarisation current and decay potential combined spectra,and the other is based on the time‐domain depolarisation current and recovery potential com-bined spectra.The principle of the proposed methods are verified by simulation.In addition,a measurement system for the two proposed methods is built and is used to measure the displacement susceptibility of transparent organic glass and opaque nonlinear field grading materials.The experimental results are compared with those of the present optical method and the frequency‐domain method.Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed methods for the measurement of displacement susceptibility are feasible and practical,which lays a foundation for the research on the polarisation characterisation of dielectrics.Yongsen Han Changyou Suo Cheng Peng Zhonghua Li 2023High Voltage2023,8,6:0
