1氧化石墨烯及其氧化铁复合物的原位合成(英文)显示文摘开发了在富氧Fe(acac)3络合物体系中膨化氧化石墨制取氧化石墨烯/Fe2O3复合物的一步法。应用FT-IR、XRD、VSM、AFM及低温直流电导测量法对所制氧化石墨/Fe2O3复合物进行表征。FT-IR研究结果显示:膨化后,氧化石墨的环氧基团分解,同时形成了氧化铁粒子与氧化石墨烯复合物。AFM测试表明:在较高Fe2O3含量下,氧化石墨烯片层结构剥蚀形成厚达5mm氧化石墨烯叠层。VSM研究显示:在室温和0.13emu/g^5.5emu/g范围内,全部复合物呈铁磁特性。这些复合物的导电性受控于准电子跃迁机制。V. 2Rumen methanogens and mitigation of methane emission by anti-methanogenic compounds and substances显示文摘Methanogenic archaea reside primarily in the rumen and the lower segments of the intestines of ruminants, where they utilize the reducing equivalents derived from rumen fermentation to reduce carbon dioxide, formic acid, or methylamines to methane(CH_4). Research on methanogens in the rumen has attracted great interest in the last decade because CH_4 emission from ruminants contributes to global greenhouse gas emission and represents a loss of feed energy. Some DNA-based phylogenetic studies have depicted a diverse and dynamic community of methanogens in the rumen. In the past decade, researchers have focused on elucidating the underpinning that determines and affects the diversity, composition, structure, and dynamics of methanogen community of the rumen. Concurrently, many researchers have attempted to develop and evaluate interventions to mitigate enteric CH_4 emission. Although much work has been done using plant secondary metabolites, other approaches such as using nitrate and 3-nitrooxy propanol have also yielded promising results. Most of these antimethanogenic compounds or substances often show inconsistent results among studies and also lead to adverse effects on feed intake and digestion and other aspects of rumen fermentation when fed at doses high enough to achieve effective mitigation. This review provides a brief overview of the rumen methanogens and then an appraisal of most of the antimethanogenic compounds and substances that have been evaluated both in vitro and in vivo. 3Potential antibacterial activity of berberine against multi drug resistant enterovirulent Escherichia coli isolated from yaks(Poephagus grunniens) with haemorrhagic diarrhoea显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of berberine,a plant alkaloid.Methods:Five multi-drug resistant(MDR) STEC/EPEC and five MDR ETEC isolates from yaks with haemorrhagic diarrhoea were selected for the study.Antibacterial activity of berberine was evaluated by broth dilution and disc diffusion methods.The binding kinetics of berberine to DNA and protein was also enumerated.Results:For both categories of enterovirulent Escherichia coli(E.roli) isolates, berberine displayed the antibaclerial effect in a dose dependent manner.The MIC50 of berberine chloride for STEC/EPEC isolates varied from 2.07μM to 3.6μM with a mean of(2.95±0.33)μM where as for ETEC strains it varied from 1.75 to 1.96μM with a mean of(1.87±0.03)μM. 4Evaluation of phenolic composition, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities of Polygonatum verticillatum(L.)显示文摘Objective: Polygonatum verticillatum(L.) All.(Ruscaceae), one of the Ashtawarga plants, is widely used for treatment of various ailments. The present study was undertaken to determine the phenolic composition,antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities of several extracts(petroleum ether, dichloromethane, chloroform, ethanol, and aqueous) from the rhizomes of the plant.Methods: Coarsely powdered dry rhizome was successively extracted with different solvents of increasing polarity(petroleum ether, dichloromethane, chloroform, ethanol and water). The phenolic compositions, in terms of total phenolic content(TPC), total flavonoid content(TFC) and total condensed tannin content(TTC), were evaluated with the Folin–Ciocalteu assay, aluminum chloride colorimetric assay and vanillin spectrophotometric assay, respectively. Total antioxidant capacity, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl and 2,20-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) assays were used to assess the antioxidant potential of each extract. A protein denaturation model and 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay were used to evaluate in vitro anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities, respectively. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(GC/MS) analysis was carried out to demonstrate various phytoconstituents in each extract. Correlation studies were also performed between phenolic composition(TPC, TFC and TTC) and different biological activities.Results: Ethanol extract showed maximum TPC(0.126 mg/g, gallic acid equivalent in dry sample), TFC(0.094 mg/g, rutin equivalent in dry sample) and TTC(29.32 mg/g, catechin equivalent in dry sample),as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Chloroform extract exhibited the strongest cytotoxicity against the human breast cancer cell line, MCF-7. GC/MS analysis revealed the presence of 90 different phytoconstituents among the extracts. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities had a positive correlation with TPC, TFC and TTC. However, the anticancer activity showed a negative correlation with TPC, TFC and TTC.Conclusion: From the present study, it can be concluded that P. verticillatum possessed remarkable antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities, which could be due to different secondary metabolites of the plant. Phenolic compounds are likely responsible for antioxidant and antiinflammatory activities. 5Effect of molasses binder on the physical and mechanical properties显示文摘Molasses was used as an alternative binder to the bentonite binder. The change in moisture absorption by pellets prepared with different iron ores and different molasses contents were investigated. Iron ore properties exerted the major effect on pellet behavior and final pellet quality. The absorbed moisture content of pellets prepared without binder, bentonite-added pellets, and molasses-added pellets were in the range of 7.72%–9.95%, 9.62%–10.84%, and 6.14%-6.69%, respectively. The wet pellet compressive strength of molasses-added pellets(43–230 N/pellet) was superior to that of bentonite-added pellets(9.47–11.92 N/pellet). 8Neurological consequences of systemic inflammation in the premature neonate显示文摘Despite substantial progress in neonatal care over the past two decades leading to improved survival of extremely premature infants, extreme prematurity continues to be associated with long term neurodevelopmental impairments. Cerebral white matter injury is the predominant form of insult in preterm brain leading to adverse neurological consequences. Such brain injury pattern and unfavorable neurologic sequelae is commonly encountered in premature infants exposed to systemic inflammatory states such as clinical or culture proven sepsis with or without evidence of meningitis, prolonged mechanical ventilation, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, necrotizing enterocolitis and chorioamnionitis. Underlying mechanisms may include cytokine mediated processes without direct entry of pathogens into the brain, developmental differences in immune response and complex neurovascular barrier system that play a critical role in regulating the cerebral response to various systemic inflammatory insults in premature infants. 10Donors for Resistance to Brown Planthopper Nilaparvata lugens(St?l) from Wild Rice Species显示文摘Out of 1 989 wild accessions sown in seed boxes for screening, only 1 003 wild accessions with good germination were screened against brown planthopper(BPH), Nilaparvata lugens(St?l) under greenhouse conditions. The collection comprised of accessions from 11 wild species and African cultivated rice. The germplasm was screened for BPH following standard seed box screening technique in the greenhouse. As many as 159 accessions were identified as resistant during the year 2012 based on one year screening. A selected set of BPH resistant accessions were screened again during 2013. Based on the two years screening, seven accessions of O. nivara(AA), one accession of O. officinalis(CC), seven accessions of O. australiensis(EE), five accessions of O. punctata(BB and BBCC) and nine accessions of O. latifolia(CCDD) were confirmed to be resistant to BPH. 11Effect of TiB2 and Al3Ti on the microstructure,mechanical properties and fracture behaviour of near eutectic Al−12.6Si alloy显示文摘A near eutectic Al−12.6Si alloy was developed with 0.0wt%,2.0wt%,4.0wt%,and 6.0wt%Al−5Ti−1B master alloy.The micro-structural morphology,hardness,tensile strength,elongation,and fracture behaviour of the alloys were studied.The unmodified Al−12.6Si al-loy has an irregular needle and plate-like eutectic silicon(ESi)and coarse polygonal primary silicon(PSi)particles in the matrix-likeα-Al phase.The P_(Si),E_(Si),andα-Al morphology and volume fraction were changed due to the addition of the Al−5Ti−1B master alloy.The hardness,UTS,and elongation improved due to the microstructural modification.Nano-sized in-situ Al3Ti particles and ex-situ TiB_(2)particles caused the mi-crostructural modification.The fracture images of the developed alloys exhibit a ductile and brittle mode of fracture at the same time.The Al−5Ti−1B modified alloys have a more ductile mode of fracture and more dimples compared to the unmodified alloy.Surajit Basak Prosanta Biswas Surajit Patra Himadri Roy Manas Kumar Mondal 2021International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2021,28,7:3
12帚状江蓠乙醇提取物对小鼠Ehrlich腹水癌的抑制作用(英文)显示文摘目的:探讨帚状江蓠乙醇提取物对小鼠Ehrlich腹水癌的抑制作用。方法:通过向小鼠腹腔注射Ehrlich腹水癌细胞建立肿瘤模型。为了解帚状江蓠乙醇提取物的口服急性毒性,在造模后24 h,给予实验小鼠口服不同剂量的帚状江蓠乙醇提取物,观察小鼠存活时间。其次,通过检测Ehrlich腹水癌荷瘤小鼠生存时间、体外细胞毒性、血清生物学指标以及肝脏酶水平等来评估帚状江蓠的抗肿瘤作用。结果:与模型对照组相比,帚状江蓠乙醇提取物不仅抑制了肿瘤的形成,也延长了Ehrlich腹水癌荷瘤小鼠的生存时间(P<0.05或P<0.01)。帚状江蓠乙醇提取物可逆转Ehrlich腹水癌荷瘤小鼠各项生物学指标及肝脏酶水平的变化。结论:本研究表明,海藻类植物帚状江蓠具有抗肿瘤作用,且其抗肿瘤的效果可能与服用剂量有关。Meenakshi Sundaram Satyajit Patra Gunasingham Maniarasu 2012中西医结合学报2012,10,4:3
13Soral Crypsis:Protective Mimicry of a Coccid on an Indian Fern显示文摘Herbivory with crypsis is not well documented in ferns. The present record of cryptic coloration of coccid Saissetia filicum Boisduval (Homoptera: Coccidae) to the sori of a fern species Asplenium nidus L. (Aspleniaceae) is unique. Predatory beetles (Jauravia sp., Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) that feed on the coccids, are suggested to be selective pressure for the development of the present homopteran soral crypsis. A higher rate of effective predation is noticed in the vegetative leaves than the fertile leaves. Aggressive ants were found harvesting honeydew secretions from the coccids and defending the trophobionts as well as the host fern from their natural enemies. In addition, a possible three-way mutualistic relationship among the coccids, its host fern and the tending ant is suggested. Differential numbers of coccids on vegetative and fertile leaves is correlated with their phenol content and degree of predation by beetles. Such coloration mimicry by the coccids may enable them to obtain the necessary blend of sorus of the host fern needed to evade beetle detection and attack.Biplab Patra Subir Bera R. 18Novel eco-efficient reactive distillation process for dimethyl carbonate production by indirect alcoholysis of urea显示文摘Dimethyl carbonate is an eco-friendly essential chemical that can be sustainably produced from CO_(2),which is available from carbon capture activities or can even be captured from the air.The rapid increase in dimethyl carbonate demand is driven by the fast growth of polycarbonates,solvent,pharmaceutical,and lithium-ion battery industries.Dimethyl carbonate can be produced from CO_(2)through various chemical pathways,but the most convenient route reported is the indirect alcoholysis of urea.Previous research used techniques such as heat integration and reactive distillation to reduce the energy use and costs,but the use of an excess of methanol in the trans-esterification step led to an energy intensive extractive distillation required to break the dimethyl carbonate-methanol azeotrope.This work shows that the production of dimethyl carbonate by indirect alcoholysis of urea can be improved by using an excess of propylene carbonate(instead of an excess of methanol),a neat feat that we showed it requires only 2.64 kW·h·kg^(-1) dimethyl carbonate in a reaction-separation-recycle process,and a reactive distillation column that effectively replaces two conventional distillation columns and the reactor for dimethyl carbonate synthesis.Therefore,less equipment is required,the methanol-dimethyl carbonate azeotrope does not need to be recycled,and the overall savings are higher.Moreover,we propose the use of a reactive distillation column in a heat integrated process to obtain high purity dimethyl carbonate(>99.8 wt-%).The energy requirement is reduced by heat integration to just 1.25 kW·h·kg^(-1) dimethyl carbonate,which is about 52%lower than the reaction-separation-recycle process.To benefit from the energy savings,the dynamics and control of the process are provided for10%changes in the nominal rate of 32 ktpy dimethyl carbonate,and for uncertainties in reaction kinetics.Iulian Patrașcu Costin S.Bîldea Anton A.Kiss 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,2:2
19Improvement in the dissolution rate and tableting properties of cefuroxime axetil by melt-granulated dispersion and surface adsorption显示文摘A combination of melt-granulated dispersion and surface adsorption techniques was used to enhance the dissolution and tableting properties of cefuroxime axetil(CA).Gelucire 50/13 was used as the melt-dispersion carrier and Sylysia 350 was used to adsorb the melt dispersion.Solubility studies showed an 8-fold increase in solubility at a ratio of 1:1.5 for CA:Gelucire 50/13.The minimum quantity of Sylysia 350 required to achieve the desired flowability and compressibility was 0.5 parts of Sylysia 350 per unit of Gelucire 50/13.Phase solubility studies showed negative ΔG_(tr)^(0) values for Gelucire 50/13 at various concentrations(2-10%,vv/v),indicating the spontaneous nature of solubilization.FT-IR and DSC spectra exhibited drug-excipient compatibility.Molecular modeling by a computational method employing energy minimization revealed entrapment of CA in Gelucire 50/13.The total potential energy of CA(70.562 keal/mol)was reduced to 33.578 keal/mol after solid dispersion with Gelucire 50/13.P-XRD studies indicated that the presence of Sylysia 350 is less likely to promote the reversion of the amorphous CA to a crystalline state.In vitro dissolution studies demonstrated an improved dissolution rate,and drug release at 15 min(Q_(15min))exhibited a 15-fold improvement.The rapidly dissolving CA tablets showed improved dissolution with improved tableting properties.Jammula Sruti Chinam Niranjan Patra Suryakanta Swain Kanhu Charan Panigrahi Allupati Premananda Patro Sarwar Beg Subas Chandra Dinda Muddana Eswara Bhanoji Rao 2013Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,2:2
