| 1 | 泪道探通对三个年龄组的先天性鼻泪管阻塞患者的疗效(英文)显示文摘目的:比较泪道探通治疗对三个年龄组的先天性鼻泪管阻塞患者的成功率。方法:共180例先天性鼻泪管阻塞患者根据年龄分为3组, Ⅰ组(4 ~6mo), Ⅱ组(7 ~12mo)和Ⅲ组(13 ~24mo),均行泪道探通治疗。症状体征均消失为治疗成功的标准。用卡方检验分析结果。结果:Ⅰ组治疗成功率为100.0%, Ⅱ组治疗成功率为88.5%,Ⅲ组治疗成功率为82.3%,总的治愈率为90.7%。结论:泪道探通治疗的有效性随着年龄的增加降低。在6mo时行泪道探通治疗的孩子成功率最高,能完全消除症状。 | Siddiqa Gul Syed Asher Dabir Shafi Muhammad Jatoi Ashok Kumar Narsani Mahatab Alam | 2008 | 国际眼科杂志2008,8,5: | 8 |
| 2 | Dual-specificity phosphatase 6(DUSP6): a review of its molecular characteristics and clinical relevance in cancer显示文摘Mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs) are the main regulators of cellular proliferation, growth, and survival in physiological or pathological conditions. Aberrant MAPK signaling plays a pivotal role in carcinogenesis, which leads to development and progression of human cancer. Dual-specificity phosphatase 6(DUSP6), a member of the MAPK phosphatase family, interacts with specifically targeted extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 via negative feedback regulation in the MAPK pathway of mammalian cells. This phosphatase functions in a dual manner, pro-oncogenic or tumor-suppressive, depending on the type of cancer. To date, the tumor-suppressive role of DUSP6 has been demonstrated in pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, esophageal squamous cell and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and ovarian cancer. Its pro-oncogenic role has been observed in human glioblastoma, thyroid carcinoma, breast cancer, and acute myeloid carcinoma. Both roles of DUSP6 have been documented in malignant melanoma depending on the histological subtype of the cancer. Loss-or gain-of-function effects of DUSP6 in these cancers highlights the significance of this phosphatase in carcinogenesis. Development of methods that use the DUSP6 gene as a therapeutic target for cancer treatment or as a prognostic factor for diagnosis and evaluation of cancer treatment outcome has great potential. | 3 | 细菌性角膜溃疡的医院流行病学,诱因和微生物诊断(英文)显示文摘目的:确定细菌性角膜溃疡的发病诱因,临床和微生物特性。方法:本研究涉及300例(300眼)临床上疑似微生物感染的角膜溃疡患者。通过病史回顾和裂隙灯检查获得病例资料。采用标准技术完成角膜刮片检查。取部分刮片样本加入100g/L的氢氧化钾液后,以及采用革兰氏和吉姆萨染色,再直接在显微镜下观察是否存在真菌、细菌和棘阿米巴。另一部分刮片样本直接接种在血琼脂、麦康基琼脂、巧克力琼脂和萨布罗琼脂表面。通过角膜刮片检查,细菌性角膜溃疡被确诊为化脓性角膜溃疡浸润和表层上皮细胞缺失伴细菌感染。对患者应用抗菌治疗。结果:在随访期间,因丢失而被排除的有60个病例。在剩下的240人中,被确诊为细菌性角膜溃疡的156人(65%),大多数为男性(102眼),年龄分布14~74岁。角膜溃疡位于角膜中央的96人(61.5%),位于外周的60人(38.5%)。溃疡深度<1/3角膜厚度的82人(52.6%)。前房炎症为:Tyndall现象和浮游细胞1+~2+64人。角膜涂片中分离出细菌的有125人(80%),其中69%为革兰氏阳性,39%为革兰氏阴性。革兰氏阴性菌感染患者伴有重症前房炎症(P=0.003)并且深度>2/3角膜厚度(P=0.001)。分离得到的最常见致病微生物为金黄色葡萄球菌。治疗后40%的患者视力恢复到入院时的水平甚至更好,其余60%的患者预后差。结论:细菌性角膜溃疡是一种严重的眼部感染性疾病,对眼部存在视力威胁,在治疗上仍具挑战性。快速分离细菌和眼部抗生素的应用是治疗此类疾病的关键。 | Ashok Kumar Narsani Shafi Muhammad Jatoi Mahesh Kumar Lohana Syed Asher Dabir Siddiqa Gul Mahtab Alam Khanzada | 2009 | 国际眼科杂志2009,9,3: | 6 |
| 4 | Smart Objects Identification System for Robotic Surveillance显示文摘Video surveillance is an active research topic in computer vision.In this paper,humans and cars identifcation technique suitable for real time video surveillance systems is presented.The technique we proposed includes background subtraction,foreground segmentation,shadow removal,feature extraction and classifcation.The feature extraction of the extracted foreground objects is done via a new set of afne moment invariants based on statistics method and these were used to identify human or car.When the partial occlusion occurs,although features of full body cannot be extracted,our proposed technique extracts the features of head shoulder.Our proposed technique can identify human by extracting the human head-shoulder up to 60%–70%occlusion.Thus,it has a better classifcation to solve the issue of the loss of property arising from human occluded easily in practical applications.The whole system works at approximately 16 29 fps and thus it is suitable for real-time applications.The accuracy for our proposed technique in identifying human is very good,which is 98.33%,while for cars identifcation,the accuracy is also good,which is 94.41%.The overall accuracy for our proposed technique in identifying human and car is at 98.04%.The experiment results show that this method is efective and has strong robustness. | Amir Akramin Shafie Azhar Bin Mohd Ibrahim Muhammad Mahbubur Rashid | 2014 | International Journal of Automation and computing2014,11,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Optical fiber SPR biosensor complying with a 3D composite hyperbolic metamaterial and a graphene film显示文摘In the present study, an optical fiber surface plasmon resonance(SPR) biosensor was developed for measuring time-and concentration-dependent DNA hybridization kinetics. Its design complies with a 3D Au∕Al2O3 multilayer composite hyperbolic metamaterial(HMM), a graphene film, and a D-shaped plastic optical fiber.According to the numerical simulation and the experimental demonstration, the SPR peak of the designed biosensor can be effectively altered in the range of visible to near-infrared by varying the HMM structure. The sensitivity of the appliance was shown to achieve a value of up to 4461 nm/RIU, allowing its applicability for bulk refractive index sensing. | 11 | Isolation and Expression Analysis of FTZ-F1 Encoding Gene of Black Rock Fish (Sebastes schlegelii)显示文摘Sex related FTZ-F1 is a transcriptional factor regulating the expression of fushi tarazu (a member of the orphan nuclear receptors) gene. In this study, FTZ-F1 gene (FTZ-F1) was isolated from the testis of black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) by homology cloning. The full-length cDNA of S. schlegeli FTZ-F1 (ssFTZ-F1) contained a 232bp 5′UTR, a 1449bp ORF encoding FTZ-F1 (482 amino acid residules in length) with an estimated molecular weight of 5.4kD and a 105bp 3′UTR. Sequence, tissue distribution and phylogenic analysis showed that ssFTZ-F1 belonged to FTZ group, holding highly conserved regions including Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ FTZ-F1 boxes and an AF-2 hexamer. Relatively high expression was observed at different larva stages. In juveniles (105 days old), the transcript of ssFTZ-F1 can be detected in all tissues and the abuncance of the gene transcript in testis, ovary, spleen and brain was higher than that in other tissues. In mature fish, the abundance of gene transcript was higher in testis, ovary, spleen and brain than that in liver (trace amount), and the gene was not transcribed in other tissues. The highest abundance of gene transcript was always observed in gonads of both juvenile and mature fish. It demands such types ofsolutions that can be addressed to obtain the user’s Quality-of-Experience(QoE). 360-degree videos have already taken up the user’s behavior by storm.However, the users only focus on the part of 360-degree videos, known as aviewport. Despite the immense hype, 360-degree videos convey a loathsomeside effect about viewport prediction, making viewers feel uncomfortablebecause user viewport needs to be pre-fetched in advance. Ideally, we canminimize the bandwidth consumption if we know what the user motionin advance. Looking into the problem definition, we propose an EncoderDecoder based Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) model to more accuratelycapture the non-linear relationship between past and future viewport positions. This model takes the transforming data instead of taking the direct inputto predict the future user movement. Then, this prediction model is combinedwith a rate adaptation approach that assigns the bitrates to various tiles for360-degree video frames under a given network capacity. Hence, our proposedwork aims to facilitate improved system performance when QoE parametersare jointly optimized. Some experiments were carried out and compared withexisting work to prove the performance of the proposed model. | 15 | Analyzing and Enabling the Harmonious Coexistence of Heterogeneous Industrial Wireless Networks显示文摘Nowadays multiple wireless communication systems operate in industrial environments side by side.In such an environment performance of one wireless network can be degraded by the collocated hostile wireless network having higher transmission power or higher carrier sensing threshold.Unlike the previous research works which considered IEEE 802.15.4 for the Industrial Wireless communication systems(iWCS)this paper examines the coexistence of IEEE 802.11 based iWCS used for delay-stringent communication in process automation and gWLAN(general-purpose WLAN)used for non-real time communication.In this paper,we present a Markov chain-based performance model that described the transmission failure of iWCS due to geographical collision with gWLAN.The presented analytic model accurately determines throughput,packet transaction delay,and packet loss probability of iWCS when it is collocated with gWLAN.The results of the Markov model match more than 90%with our simulation results.Furthermore,we proposed an adaptive transmission power control technique for iWCS to overcome the potential interferences caused by the gWLAN transmissions.The simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly improves iWCS performance in terms of throughput,packet transaction,and cycle period reduction.Moreover,it enables the industrial network for the use of delay critical applications in the presence of gWLAN without affecting its performance. | Bilal Khan Danish Shehzad Numan Shafi Ga-Young Kim Muhammad Umar Aftab | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10: | 0 |

| 17 | Heat Transfer in MHD Flow of Maxwell Fluid via Fractional Cattaneo-Friedrich Model:A Finite Difference Approach显示文摘The idea of fractional derivatives is applied to several problems of viscoelastic fluid.However,most of these problems(fluid problems),were studied analytically using different integral transform techniques,as most of these problems are linear.The idea of the above fractional derivatives is rarely applied to fluid problems governed by nonlinear partial differential equations.Most importantly,in the nonlinear problems,either the fractional models are developed by artificial replacement of the classical derivatives with fractional derivatives or simple classical problems(without developing the fractional model even using artificial replacement)are solved.These problems were mostly solved for steady-state fluid problems.In the present article,studied unsteady nonlinear non-Newtonian fluid problem(Cattaneo-Friedrich Maxwell(CFM)model)and the fractional model are developed starting from the fractional constitutive equations to the fractional governing equations;in other words,the artificial replacement of the classical derivatives with fractional derivatives is not done,but in details,the fractional problem is modeled from the fractional constitutive equations.More exactly two-dimensional magnetic resistive flow in a porous medium of fractional Maxwell fluid(FMF)over an inclined plate with variable velocity and the temperature is studied.The Caputo time-fractional derivative model(CFM)is used in the governing equations.The proposed model is numerically solved via finite difference method(FDM)along with L1-scheme for discretization.The numerical results are presented in various figures.These results indicated that the fractional parameters significantly affect the temperature and velocity fields.It is noticed that the temperature field increased with an increase in the fractional parameter.Whereas,the effect of fractional parameters is opposite on the velocity field near the plate.However,this trend became like that of the temperature profile,away from the plate.Moreover,the velocity field retarded with strengthening in the magnetic parameter due to enhancement in Lorentz force.However,this effect reverses in the case of the temperature profile. | Muhammad Saqib Hanifa Hanif T.Abdeljawad Ilyas Khan Sharidan Shafie Kottakkaran Sooppy Nisar | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,12: | 0 |

| 19 | Catalytic upgrading of bio-oil from halophyte seeds into transportation fuels显示文摘Because of socioeconomic considerations,wide-scale production of biofuel necessitates the utilization of nonedible biomass feedstock that does not compete for land and fresh water resources.In this regard,Salicornia bigelovii(SB)is the most investigated halophyte species.The high oil content in SB seeds has sparked mounting research that aims to utilize SB as an industrial crop in the production of bio-oil,particularly in coastal areas where these plants thrive.However,the oil extracted from the pyrolysis of raw SB seeds is largely dominated by oxygenated fatty acids,most notably 9,12-octadecadienoic acid and 9,17-octadecadienal,typical to that of other crops.The pyrolysate bio-oil of the raw SB seeds exhibited a relative yield of oxygenated compounds that decreased from 57.05%at 200℃to 9.81%at 500℃,and the relative yield of nitrogenated compounds increased from 4.86%at 200℃to 21.97%at 500℃.To improve the quality of the produced bio-oil,herein we investigated the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation(HDO)of the fragments that were produced from the thermal degradation of SB seeds.A 5%Ni–CeO_(2)catalyst was prepared and characterized by a wide array of methods X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,temperature programmed reduction,scanning electron microscope,BrunauerEmmett-Teller analysis,and thermogravimetric analyzer.The catalytic run was executed between 200 and 500℃in a flow reactor.The deployed catalytic methodology displayed a profound HDO capacity.At 400℃,for instance,the gas chromatography mass spectroscopy(GC–MS)detected loads of paraffin and aromatic compounds exists at appreciable values of 48.0%and 28.5%,respectively.With a total relative yield of 43.2%(at 400℃),C8–C15 species(i.e.,jet fuel fractions)were the most abundant species in the upgraded SB bio-oil.The release of H_(2),CO,CO_(2),and CH_(4)was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using gas chromatography thermal conductivity detector and Fourier infrared spectroscopic analysis.When the Ni–CeO_(2)catalyst was utilized,a complete deoxygenated bio-oil was obtained from SB seeds using the surface-assisted HDO reaction.On the basis of the elemental analysis,the biochar’s hydrogen and oxygen contents were found to decrease significantly.Density functional theory computations showed mechanisms for reactions that underpinned the experimentally observed hydrodeoxygenation process.Outcomes presented herein shall be instrumental toward the effective utilization of halophyte in the production of commercial transportation fuels. | Labeeb Ali Toyin Shittu Mohamed Shafi Kuttiyathil Ayesha Alam Muhammad Z.Iqbal Abbas Khaleel Kaushik Sivaramakrishnan Mohammednoor Altarawneh | 2023 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2023,8,4: | 0 |
| 20 | Deciphering key genes involved in cisplatin resistance in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma through a combined in silico and in vitro approach显示文摘The low survival rate of Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)patients is largely attributed to cisplatin resistance.Rather than focusing solely on individual proteins,exploring protein-protein interactions could offer greater insight into drug resistance.To this end,a series of in silico and in vitro experiments were conducted to identify hub genes in the intricate network of cisplatin resistance-related genes in KIRC chemotherapy.The genes involved in cisplatin resistance across KIRC were retrieved from the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI)database using search terms as“Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma”and“Cisplatin resistance”.The genes retrieved were analyzed for hub gene identification using the STRING database and Cytoscape tool.Expression and promoter methylation profiling of the hub genes was done using UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,and HPA databases.Mutational,survival,functional enrichment,immune cell infiltration,and drug prediction analyses of the hub genes were performed using the cBioPortal,GEPIA,GSEA,TIMER,and DrugBank databases.Lastly,expression and methylation levels of the hub genes were validated on two cisplatin-resistant RCC cell lines(786-O and A-498)and a normal renal tubular epithelial cell line(HK-2)using two high throughput techniques,including targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq)and RT-qPCR.A total of 124 genes were identified as being associated with cisplatin resistance in KIRC.Out of these genes,MCL1,IGF1R,CCND1,and PTEN were identified as hub genes and were found to have significant(p<0.05)variations in their mRNA and protein expressions and effects on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC patients.Moreover,an aberrant promoter methylation pattern was found to be associated with the dysregulation of the hub genes.In addition to this,hub genes were also linked with different cisplatin resistance-causing pathways.Thus,hub genes can be targeted with Alvocidib,Estradiol,Tretinoin,Capsaicin,Dronabinol,Metribolone,Calcitriol,Acetaminophen,Acitretin,Cyclosporine,Azacitidine,Genistein,and Resveratrol drugs.As the pathogenesis of KIRC is complex,targeting hub genes and associated pathways involved in cisplatin resistance could bring a milestone change in the drug discovery and management of drug resistance,which might uplift overall survival among KIRC patients. | MUNEEBA MALIK MAMOONA MAQBOOL TOOBA NISAR TAZEEM AKHTER JAVED AHMED UJAN ALANOOD SALGARNI FAKHRIA AAL JOUFI SULTAN SHAFI KALANAZI MOHAMMAD HADI ALMOTARED MOUNIR MSALEM BEKHIT MUHAMMAD JAMIL | 2023 | Oncology Research2023,31,6: | 0 |
