1An Investigation of Landslide Susceptibility Using Logistic Regression and Statistical Index Methods in Dailekh District, Nepal显示文摘Landslide distribution and susceptibility mapping are the fundamental steps for landslide-related hazard and disaster risk management activities, especially in the Himalaya region which has resulted in a great deal of death and damage to property. To better understand the landslide condition in the Nepal Himalaya, we carried out an investigation on the landslide distribution and susceptibility using the landslide inventory data and 12 different contributing factors in the Dailekh district, Western Nepal. Based on the evaluation of the frequency distribution of the landslide, the relationship between the landslide and the various contributing factors was determined.Then, the landslide susceptibility was calculated using logistic regression and statistical index methods along with different topographic(slope, aspect, relative relief, plan curvature, altitude, topographic wetness index) and non-topographic factors(distance from river, normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI), distance from road, precipitation, land use and land cover, and geology), and 470(70%) of total 658 landslides. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis using 198(30%) of total landslides showed that the prediction curve rates(area under the curve, AUC) values for two methods(logistic regression and statistical index) were 0.826, and 0.823with success rates of 0.793, and 0.811, respectively. The values of R-Index for the logistic regression and statistical index methods were83.66 and 88.54, respectively, consisting of high susceptible hazard classes. In general, this research concluded that the cohesive and coherent natural interplay of topographic and non-topographic factors strongly affects landslide occurrence, distribution, and susceptibility condition in the Nepal Himalaya region. 2Population Variation and Food Habits of Ranid Frogs in the Rice-Based Cropping System in Gujranwala Region,Pakistan显示文摘The current study aims to investigate the population variation and food habits of ranid frogs in the rice-based cropping system in District Gujranwala,Pakistan.The population in the study area was estimated using capture,mark and release method whereas food habits of the species were studied by analysis of stomach contents.The results showed the highest average population was found during August 2009(93.10±18.64/ha) while the lowest from December 2008 to February 2009.Maximum seasonal populations existed in summer 2009,whereas winter 2008 sizes were at a minimum.Stomach content analysis of the species revealed percent frequency(% F) of occurrence of insects(80.3),earthworms(28.5),whole frogs(15.8),bone pieces(22.5),rodents(1.66),vegetation(5.0),soil particles(13.3) and some unidentified material(7.5) in all the stomach samples.Most frequently consumed prey items were insects(30% by volume),although frogs also preyed upon conspecifics and rodents.Insects recovered from the stomach contents were identified as belonging to Orthoptera,Lepidoptera,Coleoptera,Diptera,Odonata and Homoptera as well as the class Archnida.Insects recovered from the stomach contents were compared to those captured from the study area.Saima Yousaf Tariq Mahmood Muhammad Rais Irfan Zia Qureshi 2010Asian Herpetological Research2010,1,2:2

5Abundance and Breeding of the Common Skittering Frog(Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis)and Bull Frog(Hoplobatrachus tigerinus)at Rawal Lake,Islamabad,Pakistan显示文摘The population density and breeding of two frog species,i.e.,the Skittering Frog(Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis)and the Bull Frog(Hoplobatrachus tigerinus)were studied at Rawal Lake,Islamabad,Pakistan,by using visual encounter method from September 2009 to August 2010.Mean population density for the two frogs was 1.55±0.44frogs per ha,with that for the Skittering Frog being 1.09±0.33 frogs/ha and that of the Bull Frog 0.46±0.11 frog/ha,respectively.It is concluded that both frog species are explosive breeders,i.e.,their breeding activities were confi ned to the f irst showers of the monsoon season.The mean spawn weight of the Skittering Frog was 1.5 g with more than 1000eggs in each spawn,while that of the Bull Frog was 0.26 g with less than 1000 eggs in a spawn.The spawning sites of the two species were investigated in detail.Generally,no threat to their populations was observed.However,the opening of the spillway of Rawal Dam following the torrential rain destroyed the breeding sites of the frogs.It is maintained that the event did not produce any signif icant impact on their populations and breeding as the two species were quite common.Fozia TABASSUM Muhammad RAIS Maqsood ANWAR Tariq MEHMOOD Iftikhar HUSSAIN Shahid ALI KHAN 2011Asian Herpetological Research2011,2,4:0
6Thermally stratified flow of hybrid nanofluids with radiative heat transport and slip mechanism: multiple solutions显示文摘Research on flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluids has gained great significance due to their efficient heat transfer capabilities.In fact,hybrid nanofluids are a novel type of fluid designed to enhance heat transfer rate and have a wide range of engineering and industrial applications.Motivated by this evolution,a theoretical analysis is performed to explore the flow and heat transport characteristics of Cu/Al_(2)O_(3) hybrid nanofluids driven by a stretching/shrinking geometry.Further,this work focuses on the physical impacts of thermal stratification as well as thermal radiation during hybrid nanofluid flow in the presence of a velocity slip mechanism.The mathematical modelling incorporates the basic conservation laws and Boussinesq approximations.This formulation gives a system of governing partial differential equations which are later reduced into ordinary differential equations via dimensionless variables.An efficient numerical solver,known as bvp4c in MATLAB,is utilized to acquire multiple(upper and lower)numerical solutions in the case of shrinking flow.The computed results are presented in the form of flow and temperature fields.The most significant findings acquired from the current study suggest that multiple solutions exist only in the case of a shrinking surface until a critical/turning point.Moreover,solutions are unavailable beyond this turning point,indicating flow separation.It is found that the fluid temperature has been impressively enhanced by a higher nanoparticle volume fraction for both solutions.On the other hand,the outcomes disclose that the wall shear stress is reduced with higher magnetic field in the case of the second solution.The simulation outcomes are in excellent agreement with earlier research,with a relative error of less than 1%.Rai Sajjad Saif Hashim Maria Zaman Muhammad Ayaz 2022Communications in Theoretical Physics2022,74,1:0

8Alterations in Quality Parameters of Mastitic Milk显示文摘Quality milk production in modern dairy systems is facing many challenges.Salient in them is mastitis which is responsible for decline in milk production,altered milk composition and compromised udder health.The malaise consists of multiple bacterial etiologies which can be broadly classified into contagious pathogens and environmental pathogens S.aureus is being isolated invariably in all epidemiological studies,followed by E.coli.Pathogenic virulence in mastitis is often accounted due to microbial ability of producing wide array of virulence factors that enhances pathogenicity and sustainment potential in the epithelial linings of udder.Mastitis affects quality parameters of milk i.e.constitutional as well as mineral profile due to local damage and inflammatory mediators.It decreases the lactose secretion because of oxidative stress generated due to the formation of free radicals in the milk.In mastitic milk,IgG2 becomes the predominant antibody which is thought to be the main opsonin supporting neutrophil phagocytosis in the bovine mammary gland.Therefore,it plays a significant role in the battle against mastitis pathogens.Mastitis infected cow shows a notable elevated level of the sodium and chloride and demoted level of calcium,potassium and inorganic phosphorus.In micro minerals,mastitis effects are pretty much same as in most macro minerals i.e.lower down their concentration in milk secretion.Consistent preventive strategy alongside strict surveillance and biosecurity is recommended for combating this challenge.Maria Azam Muhammad Aamir Naseer Kiran Mumtaz Iqra Muzammil KhazeenaAtta Rais Ahmed Amjad Islam Aqib 2020Veterinary Science Research2020,2,2:0

10原发性眼内良性病变的分析(英文)显示文摘目的:研究原发性眼内良性病变的表现形式并指出其常见诱因。方法:从1997-07/2001-08,研究在真纳研究生医学中心眼科进行。2001-09在钱德拉医科大学医院眼科。研究只涉及患有原发性眼内良性病变的患者,他们均有院外住院病史。诊断基于患者的表征,临床检查,调查及切除肿块的组织病理学。共68名患者,年龄2mo ~60岁,男27例(39.7%),女41例(60.3%),35例(51.5%)左眼患病,33例(48.5%)右眼患病。结果:原发性眼内良性病变患者68例中,26例(38.2%)为眼睑浅表性毛细管血管瘤,5例(7.4%)为深部眼内血管瘤,5例(7.4%)为神经纤维瘤,4例(5.9%)为多发性神经纤维瘤,2例(2.9%)为神经瘤, 5例(7.4%)为多形性泪腺瘤(良性混合型细胞肿瘤)。结论:尽早住院检查,正确诊断和治疗可以避免并发症对患者视力甚至生命的威胁。Partab Rai Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah Ashok Kumar Narsani Javed Hassan Niazi Memon Muhammad Khan Saeed Iqbal 2009国际眼科杂志2009,9,4:0
11Collaborative Detection and Prevention of Sybil Attacks against RPL-Based Internet of Things显示文摘The Internet of Things(IoT)comprises numerous resource-constrained devices that generate large volumes of data.The inherent vulnerabilities in IoT infrastructure,such as easily spoofed IP and MAC addresses,pose significant security challenges.Traditional routing protocols designed for wired or wireless networks may not be suitable for IoT networks due to their limitations.Therefore,the Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks(RPL)is widely used in IoT systems.However,the built-in security mechanism of RPL is inadequate in defending against sophisticated routing attacks,including Sybil attacks.To address these issues,this paper proposes a centralized and collaborative approach for securing RPL-based IoT against Sybil attacks.The proposed approach consists of detection and prevention algorithms based on the Random Password Generation and comparison methodology(RPG).The detection algorithm verifies the passwords of communicating nodes before comparing their keys and constant IDs,while the prevention algorithm utilizes a delivery delay ratio to restrict the participation of sensor nodes in communication.Through simulations,it is demonstrated that the proposed approach achieves better results compared to distributed defense mechanisms in terms of throughput,average delivery delay and detection rate.Moreover,the proposed countermeasure effectively mitigates brute-force and side-channel attacks in addition to Sybil attacks.The findings suggest that implementing the RPG-based detection and prevention algorithms can provide robust security for RPL-based IoT networks.Muhammad Ali Khan Rao Naveed Bin Rais Osman Khalid 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,10:0
12Extreme Wind Variability and Wind Map Development in Western Java,Indonesia显示文摘Wind-related disasters are one of the most frequent disasters in Indonesia.It can cause severe damages of residential construction,especially in the world's most populated island of Java.Understanding the characteristics of extreme winds is crucial for mitigating the disasters and for defining structural design standards.This study investigated the spatiotemporal variations of extreme winds and pioneered a design wind map in Indonesia by focusing on western Java.Based on gust data observed in recent years from 24 stations,the extreme winds exhibit a clear annual cycle where northwestern and southeastern sides of western Java show out-of-phase relationship due to reversal monsoons.Meanwhile,extreme wind occurrences are mostly affected by small-scale weather systems,regardless of seasons and locations.To build the wind map,we used bias-corrected gust from ERA5 and applied the Gumbel method to predict extreme winds with different return periods.The wind map highlights some drawbacks of the current national design standards,which use single wind speed values regardless of location and return period.Beside a fundamental improvement for wind design,this study will benefit disaster risk mapping and other applications that require extreme wind speed distribution.Muhammad Rais Abdillah Prasanti Widyasih Sarli Hafidz Rizky Firmansyah Anjar Dimara Sakti Faiz Rohman Fajary Robi Muharsyah Gian Gardian Sudarman 2022International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2022,13,3:0
13晚期视网膜母细胞瘤53例的临床挑战(英文)显示文摘目的:评价肿瘤的位置、大小、组织学以及复发率。方法:前瞻性研究Larkana的Chandka医学院附属医院眼科的53例组织学诊断为视网膜母细胞瘤患者,肿瘤侵及眼球、眼眶、颅内以及其他组织。为研究肿瘤广泛性,检查包括:眼眶X线片,眼球B超,眼眶及头颅CT扫描/MRI,全骨扫描,胸部前后位X线片,腹部B超,腰椎穿刺,全血细胞计数,包括肝肾功能检查的血生化,根据肿瘤的位置、大小、复发及转移选择包括手术、局部放疗、系统化疗的治疗方案。有局部和系统转移的患者,由Larkana的核医学和放疗机构的肿瘤专家进行局部放疗和系统化疗。术后1,3,6,12mo复查随访,随后5a及5a以上,1a复查一次。评估肿瘤的位置、大小、组织类型和复发率。结果:患者53例,年龄8mo^8岁。男25例(47%),女28例(53%)。肿瘤的眼别,左眼25例(47%),右眼19例(36%),双眼9例(17%)。患者的首发症状,斜视3例(6%),假性眼内炎4例(8%),眼眶炎性假瘤6例(11%),转移性包块7例(13%),蕈样生长的包块8例(15%),白瞳征12例(23%),眼眶浸润13例(25%)。行单纯眼球摘除术19例(36%),行眼球摘除及改良型眶内容物剜除术并局部放疗和系统化疗19例(36%),行眼球摘除及完全型眶内容物剜除术并局部放疗和系统化疗15例(28%)。肿瘤的组织类型,含大量染色质的高分化视网膜母细胞瘤25例(47%),高度未分化视网膜母细胞瘤28例(53%)。首次手术后,由于手术切除点以上视神经受累,眼眶浸润和系统转移,发生复发和转移37例(70%)。结论:儿童红眼或白瞳征在确诊之前应怀疑视网膜母细胞瘤,应该及时经眼科专家检查,因为患者在肿瘤初期的早期表现提示会降低肿瘤的扩散、复发和死亡率。Partab Rai Imtiaz Ali Shah Ashok kumar Narsani Mahesh Kumar Lohana Muhammad Khan Memon Manzoor Ahmed Memon 2009国际眼科杂志2009,9,2:0
