1Smartphones,tele-ophthalmology,and VISION 2020显示文摘Telemedicine is an emerging field in recent medical achievements with rapid development.The 'smartphone' availability has increased in both developed and developing countries even among people in rural and remotes areas.Telebased services can be used for screening ophthalmic diseases and also monitoring patients with known diseases.Electronic ophthalmologic records of the patients including captured images by smartphones from anterior and posterior segments of the eye will be evaluated by ophthalmologists,and if patients require further evaluations,they will be referred to experts in the relevant field.Eye diseases such as cataract,glaucoma,age-related macular degeneration,diabetic retinopathy,and retinopathy of prematurity are the most common causes of blindness in many countries and beneficial use of teleophthalmology with smartphones will be a good way to achieve the aim of VISION 2020 all over the world.Numerous studies have shown that teleophthalmology is similar to the conventional eye care system in clinical outcomes and even provides more patient satisfaction as it saves time and cost.This review explains how teleophthalmology helps to improve patient outcomes through smartphones.Mehrdad Mohammadpour Zahra Heidari Masoud Mirghorbani Hassan Hashemi 2017International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2017,10,12:8
2大豆提取物抗戊四唑所致卵巢切除大鼠痉挛的作用(英文)显示文摘目的:研究大豆提取物抗戊四唑所致卵巢切除大鼠痉挛的作用。方法:雌性Wistar大鼠随机分为4组(n=15),分别为假手术组、卵巢切除组、低剂量大豆提取物组和高剂量大豆提取物组。假手术组大鼠行假手术,其余3组大鼠行卵巢切除术。每组大鼠再随机分为2个亚组,其中一个亚组(n=7)每日予低剂量戊四唑(40mg/kg)腹腔内注射,连续14d;另一亚组(n=8)予一次高剂量戊四唑(90mg/kg)腹腔内注射。在戊四唑注射前30min,低剂量大豆提取物(20mg/kg)及高剂量大豆提取物(60mg/kg)组分别腹腔内注射大豆提取物,假手术组及卵巢切除组注射生理盐水。上述步骤完成后,将大鼠置于树脂玻璃箱中观察60min。结果:重复低剂量注射戊四唑14d,卵巢切除组大鼠的痉挛评分在第3、5、8、10、11、12及13天低于假手术组(P<0.05或P<0.01),而低剂量大豆提取物组和高剂量大豆提取物组大鼠的痉挛评分高于卵巢切除组(P<0.05或P<0.01)。一次性高剂量注射戊四唑后,与假手术组相比,卵巢切除组大鼠阵发性强直性抽搐潜伏期延长,而最小阵发性痉挛潜伏期无明显变化;与卵巢切除组相比,低剂量及高剂量的大豆提取物显著缩短了大鼠阵发性强直性抽搐及最小阵发性痉挛的潜伏期(P<0.01)。结论:雌激素能够影响戊四唑所致大鼠痉挛的严重程度,而大豆中所含的植物雌激素也具有类似作用,这种作用还有待更多的研究予以证实。Ali Reza Ebrahimzadeh Bideskan Mahmoud Hosseini Toktam Mohammadpour Reza Karami Mehdi Khodamoradi Habibollah Nemati Karimooy Hassan Alavi 2011中西医结合学报2011,9,6:4
3Stable channel analysis with sediment transport for rivers in Malaysia: A case study of the Muda, Kurau, and Langat rivers显示文摘Assessments of a stable channel were done to evaluate the conditions of three rivers in Malaysia,using an analytical method that modifies the stable channel flowchart developed by Chang(1988)and Ariffin(2004).The analytical approach was selected to calculate the suitable dimensions for a stable channel,using equations that describe the physical relation of sediment transport,flow resistance,and dynamic equilibrium.Measured field data were used as the input data for the stable channel program,which then processed the data until the input discharge was equal to the output discharge.However,this method depends on the accuracy of the sediment transport equation that is used in the stable channel design.Existing equations recommended by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage(DID),Malaysia,were found to be unsuitable because of their low discrepancy ratio(DR)values,which were below 42%.These are the equations of Engelund and Hansen(1967)and Yang(1979),as well as existing local equations from Ariffin(2004)and Sinnakaudan et al.(2006).Therefore,revised equations were developed in the current study to increase the accuracy of the total bed material load equations for use in Malaysian rivers.The newly revised Ariffin(2004)and Sinnakaudan et al.(2006)equations yielded better DRs of 66.34 and 64.49%,respectively.River assessments done on the Kurau River(a small river),the Muda River(a medium-size river),and the Langat River(a large river)show that these rivers have experienced different levels of erosion.Only the Kurau River was found to have minimal erosion and sedimentation levels.Conversely,stable channel assessments for the Muda River and the Langat River revealed that both rivers had experienced severe erosion,due to excessive sand mining.Almost all the cross section sampling points on the Muda River and Langat River were deeper than the suggested stable channel heights.Mohd Afiq Harun Aminuddin Ab Ghani Reza Mohammadpour NgaiWeng Chan 2020International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,5:2
4Evaluation of corneal topographic,tomographic and biomechanical indices for detecting clinical and subclinical keratoconus:a comprehensive three-device study显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the diagnostic ability of topographic and tomographic indices with Pentacam and Sirius as well as biomechanical parameters with Corvis ST for the detection of clinical and subclinical forms of keratoconus(KCN).METHODS:In this prospective diagnostic test study,70 patients with clinical KCN,79 patients with abnormal findings in topography and tomography maps with no evidence on clinical examination(subclinical KCN),and 68 normal control subjects were enrolled.The accuracy of topographic,tomographic,and biomechanical parameters was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)and cross-validation analysis.The Delong method was used for comparing AUCs.RESULTS:In distinguishing KCN from normal,all parameters showed statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.001).Indices with the perfect diagnostic ability(AUC≥0.999)were Sirius KCN vertex of back(KVb),Pentacam random forest index(PRFI),Pentacam index of height decentration(IHD),and Corvis integrated tomographic/biomechanical index(TBI).In distinguishing subclinical KCN from normal,Sirius symmetry index of back(SIb;AUC=0.908),Pentacam inferior-superior difference(IS)value(AUC=0.862),PRFI(AUC=0.847),and Corvis TBI(AUC=0.820)performed best.There were no significant differences between the highest AUCs within keratoconic groups(De Long,P>0.05).CONCLUSION:In clinical KCN,all topographic,tomographic,and biomechanical indices have acceptable outcomes in terms of sensitivity and specificity.However,in differentiating subclinical forms of KCN from normal corneas,curvature-based parameters(SIb and IS value)followed by integrated indices(PRFI and TBI)are the most powerful tools for early detection of KCN.Zahra Heidari Hassan Hashemi Mehrdad Mohammadpour Kazem Amanzadeh Akbar Fotouhi 2021International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2021,14,2:2
5Role of artificial tears with and without hyaluronic acid in controlling ocular discomfort following PRK: a randomized clinical trial显示文摘AIM:To compare outcomes of applying preservative free artificial tears(PFAT)with and without hyaluronic acid(HA)in early postoperative course following photorefractive keratectomy(PRK).METHODS:In this triple-blinded randomized clinical trial,PRK procedure was performed on both eyes of 230 patients.Following PRK,patients were divided into three groups:the HA^(+)group,44 patients PFAT containing HA;the HA-group,71 patients PFAT without HA were administered 5 times per day(every 4 h);the third group,115 patients received no PFAT before lens removal.On the 1st and 4th postoperative day,Visual Analogue Score(VAS)was utilized to evaluate patient’s level of pain.Participants were asked to complete a questionnaire about the severity of eye discomfort ranked from 0 to 10(0=no complaint;10=most severe complaint experienced).RESULTS:In eyes receiving PFAT with or without HA(Drop group),mean scores for epiphora,foreign body sensation,and blurred vision on the 1st postoperative day were statistically lower(P<0.05).Filamentous keratitis(FK)was detected in 11(4.7%)eyes,and recurrent corneal erosion(RCE)was observed in 5(2.1%)eyes.In the control group,FK was noted in 16(6.9%)eyes while 13(5.6%)eyes had RCE and 5(2.1%)eyes had corneal haze.The rate of complications was statistically lower in Drop group(P=0.009).However,the aforementioned scores were not statically different between HA^(+)and HA-group one and two(P=0.29).CONCLUSION:Following PRK,applying PFAT with and without HA yields faster visual recovery,decreases postoperative ocular discomfor t and haze formation;however there is no additive effect for HA.Mehrdad Mohammadpour Masoud Khorrami-Nejad Delaram Shakoor 2021International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2021,14,8:2
