1Sialic acid-engineered mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles loaded with SPIO and Fe3+as a novel theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual-mode MRI-guided combined chemo-photothermal treatment of hepatic cancer显示文摘diagnostic and therapeutic capability are highly needed for the treatment of hepatic cancer.Herein,we aimed to develop a novel mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)-based theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided cancer chemo-photothermal therapy.Superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)-loaded MPDA NPs(MPDA@SPIO)was firstly prepared,followed by modifying with a targeted molecule of sialic acid(SA)and chelating with Fe^(3+)(SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs).After that,doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs(SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+))was prepared for tumor theranostics.The prepared SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs were water-dispersible and biocompatible as evidenced by MTT assay.In vitro photothermal and relaxivity property suggested that the novel theranostic agent possessed excellent photothermal conversion capability and photostability,with relaxivity of being r1=4.29 mM��1s��1 and r2=105.53 mM��1s��1,respectively.SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively encapsulate the DOX,showing dual pH-and thermal-triggered drug release behavior.In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively target to the hepatic tumor tissue,which was possibly due to the specific interaction between SA and the overexpressed E-selectin.This behavior also endowed SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+)NPs with a more precise T1-T2 dual mode contrast imaging effect than the one without SA modification.In addition,SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs displayed a superior therapeutic effect,which was due to its active targeting ability and combined effects of chemotherapy and photothermal therapy.These results demonstrated that SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs is an effective targeted nanoplatform for tumor theranostics,having potential value in the effective treatment of hepatic cancer.Gaofeng Shu Minjiang Chen Jingjing Song Xiaoling Xu Chenying Lu Yuyin Du Min Xu Zhongwei Zhao Minxia Zhu Kai Fan Xiaoxi Fan Shiji Fang Bufu Tang Yiyang Dai Yongzhong Du Jiansong Ji 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:4
2Recent progresses on the new condensed forms of single-walled carbon nanotubes and energy-harvesting devices显示文摘We demonstrate an effective method to prepare a new condensed form of single-walled carbon nanotubes(crystal of SWNTs) using a series of diamond wire drawing dies.X-ray diffraction indicates that the SWNTs form a two-dimensional triangular lattice with a lattice constant of 19.62 ?.An intertube spacing of 3.39 ? of between adjacent SWNTs results in a sharp(002) reflection in the X-ray diffraction pattern.Meanwhile,we developed an approach based on the Coulomb explosion to separate SWNTs from their bundle.The separated SWNTs have a typical length of several microns and form a nanotree at one end of the original bundle.The separation is convenient and involves no surfactant.In studying devices comprising SWNTs,we find that a four-probe technique can be employed to study the filling of and flow within the inner channel of an individual SWNT.Current/voltage can drive water molecules to have directional flow along an SWNT,and the flowing of water inside an SWNT can induce a voltage gradient force(an induced electromotive force) along the SWNT.This energy conversion is realized by the mutual coupling of water dipoles and charge carriers present in SWNTs.The results suggest that SWNTs can be exploited as molecular channels for water and may find potential application in nanoscale energy conversion.Moreover,a surface-energy generator comprising SWNTs was demonstrated to harvest the surface energy of ethanol.The performance(the induction rate for Voc,the value of Voc and the output power) can be significantly enhanced by the Marangoni effect.CHEN MinJiang YU Fang HU LiJun SUN LianFeng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,2:3

4Studies on the properties of surface and edges of N-layer graphenes显示文摘Graphene, a new two-dimensional carbon material, is a rising star of physics, chemistry and materials science. In this work, we report the recent experimental researches on the Raman spectra and the temperature-dependent features of graphenes and car- bon nanoscrolls, which are evolved from graphene and have an open tubular structure. The layer-dependent Raman enhancing characteristics of n-layer graphenes for crystal violet, and the thickness-dependent morphologies of gold on n-layer graphenes are also systematically investigated. 19Case report of neurofibromatosis type 1 combined with primary ciliary dyskinesia显示文摘Neurofibromatosis(NF)is a genetic disease in which the lungs are rarely involved.However,in NF cases with lung involvement,chest computed tomography may show bilateral basal reticulations,apical bullae,and cysts without bronchiectasis.Herein,we report a patient diagnosed with NF on the basis of the results of genetic testing who presented with early-onset wet cough and bronchiectasis.Considering the differential diagnosis of bronchiectasis combined with his early-onset wet cough,sinusitis,and sperm quality decline,we considered the possibility of primary ciliary dyskinesia(PCD).Further electron microscopy analysis of cilia and identification of homozygous mutations in the RSPH4A gene confirmed the diagnosis of PCD.Therefore,for patients with NF,when an image change exists in the lungs that does not correspond to NF,the possibility of other diagnoses,including PCD,must be considered.Chun Bian Xinyue Zhao Yaping Liu Minjiang Chen Shuying Zheng Xinlun Tian Kai-Feng Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,6:1
20Effect of Substrate Pretreatment on Controllable Growth of TiO_2 Nanorod Arrays显示文摘Well-aligned TiO2 nanorod arrays(TNAs) were prepared on the pretreated quartz substrates.The effect of the pretreatment conditions on the growth of TNAs was systematically investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).It is demonstrated that the pre-coating TiO2 crystal seeds on the substrates can greatly improve the growth orientation of TNAs.Rutile TiO2 crystal seeds induce the nucleation and growth of TNAs more preferably than the anatase TiO2 seeds.The growth density and diameter distribution of TNAs strongly depend on the TiO2 crystal seeds density.It is proved that TNAs with different morphologies can be controllably synthesized by using hydrothermal approach by pretreating substrates.The photocatalytic activity of TNAs was investigated by measuring the photodegradation rate of methyl blue aqueous solution under UV irradiation(254 nm).And the results show that TNAs with large growth density and small diameter size exhibit relatively higher photocatalytic activity.Minjiang Cao Yuxiang Li Min Guo Mei Zhang Xidong Wang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,7:0
