| 3 | Waste activated sludge treatment based on temperature staged and biologically phased anaerobic digestion system显示文摘The concept of temperature staged and biological phased(TSBP) was proposed to enhance the performance of waste-activated sludge anaerobic digestion. Semi-continuous experiments were used to investigate the efect of temperature(35 to 70°C) as well as the hydraulic retention time(HRT)(2, 4 and 6 days) on the acidogenic phase. The results showed that the solubilization degree of wasteactivated sludge increased from 14.7% to 30.1% with temperature increasing from 35 to 70°C, while the acidification degree was highest at 45°C(17.6%), and this was quite diferent from the temperature impact on hydrolysis. Compared with HRT of 2 and 6 days,4 days was chosen as the appropriate HRT because of its relatively high solubilization degree(24.6%) and acidification degree(20.1%)at 45°C. The TSBP system combined the acidogenic reactor(45°C, 4 days) with the methanogenic reactor(35°C, 16 days) and the results showed 84.8% and 11.4% higher methane yield and volatile solid reduction, respectively, compared with that of the single-stage anaerobic digestion system with HRT of 20 days at 35°C. Moreover, diferent microbial morphologies were observed in the acidogenicand methanogenic-phase reactors, which resulted from the temperature control and HRT adjustment. All the above results indicated that45°C was the optimum temperature to inhibit the activity of methanogenic bacteria in the acidogenic phase, and temperature staging and phase separation was thus accomplished. | 7 | Loss of hnRNP A1 in murine skeletal muscle exacerbates high-fat diet-induced onset of insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis显示文摘Impairment of glucose(Glu)uptake and storage by skeletal muscle is a prime risk factor for the development of metabolic diseases.Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1(hnRNP Al)is a highly abundant RNA-binding protein that has been implicated in diverse cellular functions.The aim of this study was to investigate the function of hnRNP A1 on muscle tissue insulin sensitivity and systemic Glu homeostasis.Our results showed that conditional deletion of hnRNP Al in the muscle gave rise to a severe insulin resistance phenotype in mice fed a high-fat diet(HFD).Conditional knockout mice fed a HFD showed exacerbated obesity,insulin resistance,and hepatic steatosis.In vitro interference of hnRNP Al in C2C12 myotubes impaired insulin signal transduction and inhibited Glu uptake,whereas hnRNP Al overexpression in C2C12 myotubes protected against insulin resistance induced by supraphysiological concentrations of insulin.The expression and stability of glycogen synthase(gysl)mRNA were also decreased in the absence of hnRNP A l.Mechanistically,hnRNP Al interacted with gys l and stabilized its mRNA,thereby promoting glycogen synthesis and maintaining the insulin sensitivity in muscle tissue.Taken together,our findings are the first to show that reduced expression of hnRNP Al in skeletal muscle affects the metabolic properties and systemic insulin sensitivity by inhibiting glycogen synthesis. | Mingxia Zhao Lihong Shen Zijun Ouyang Manru Li Guoliang Deng Chenxi Yang Wei Zheng Lingdong Kong Xuefeng Wu Xudong Wu Wenjie Guo Ye Yin Qiang Xu Yang Sun | 2020 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,4: | 2 |

| 10 | Honeycomb-like polyaniline for flexible and folding all-solid-state supercapacitors显示文摘Porous polyaniline (PANI) was prepared through an efficient and costeffective method by polymerization of aniline in the NaCl solution at room temperature. The resulting PANI provided large surface area due to its highly porous structure and the intercrossed nanorod, resulting in good electrochemical performance. The porous PANI electrodes showed a high specific capacitance of 480 F·g^-1, 3 times greater than that of PANI without using the NaCl solution. We also make chemically crosslinked hydrogel film for hydrogel polymer electrolyte as well as the flexible supercapacitors (SCs) with PANI. The specific capacitance of the device was 234 F·g^-1 at the current density of 1 A·g^-1.
