| 1 | Crosstalk-free achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimetry metasurface enabled by polarization-dependent phase optimization显示文摘Imaging polarimetry is one of the most widely used analytical technologies for object detection and analysis.To date,most metasurface-based polarimetry techniques are severely limited by narrow operating bandwidths and inevitable crosstalk,leading to detrimental effects on imaging quality and measurement accuracy.Here,we propose a crosstalkfree broadband achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimeter consisting of polarization-sensitive dielectric metalenses,implemented by the principle of polarization-dependent phase optimization.Compared with the single-polarization optimization method,the average crosstalk has been reduced over three times under incident light with arbitrary polarization ranging from 9μm to 12μm,which guarantees the measurement of the polarization state more precisely.The experimental results indicate that the designed polarization-sensitive metalenses can effectively eliminate the chromatic aberration with polarization selectivity and negligible crosstalk.The measured average relative errors are 7.08%,8.62%,7.15%,and 7.59%at 9.3,9.6,10.3,and 10.6μm,respectively.Simultaneously,the broadband full polarization imaging capability of the device is also verified.This work is expected to have potential applications in wavefront detection,remote sensing,light-field imaging,and so forth. | Yaxin Zhang Mingbo Pu Jinjin Jin Xinjian Lu Yinghui Guo Jixiang Cai Fei Zhang Yingli Ha Qiong He Mingfeng Xu Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo | 2022 | Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,11: | 6 |
| 2 | Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients.We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment.We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone.The cure rate,changes of oxygen saturation and interference,and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group,and 32 patients to the control group.The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions,the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment,and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative.For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels,tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome. | Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3: | 2 |

| 5 | Efficient activation of peroxymonosulfate by hollow cobalt hydroxide for degradation of ibuprofen and theoretical study显示文摘Hollow microsphere structure cobalt hydroxide(h-Co(OH)2) was synthesized via an optimized solvothermal-hydrothermal process and applied to activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS) for degradation of a typical pharmaceutically active compound,ibuprofen(IBP).The material characterizations confirmed the presence of the microscale hollow spheres with thin nanosheets shell in h-Co(OH)2,and the crystalline phase was assigned to a-Co(OH)2.h-Co(OH)2 could efficiently activate PMS for radicals production,and 98.6% of IBP was degraded at 10 min.The activation of PMS by h-Co(OH)2 was a pHindependent process,and pH 7 was the optimum condition for the activation-degradation system.Scavenger quenching test indicated that the sulfate radical(SO4^·-) was the primary reactive oxygen species for IBP degradation,which contributed to 75.7%.Fukui index(f^-) based on density functional theory(DFT) calculation predicted the active sites of IBP molecule for SO4^·- attack,and then IBP degradation pathway was proposed by means of intermediates identification and theoretical calculation.The developed hollow Co(OH)2 used to efficiently activate PMS is promising and innovative alternative for organic contaminants removal from water and wastewater. | Mingfeng Ma Long Chen Jingzhu Zhao Wen Liu Haodong Ji | 2019 | Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12: | 1 |

| 10 | Physics-data-driven intelligent optimization for large-aperture metalenses显示文摘Metalenses have gained significant attention and have been widely utilized in optical systems for focusing and imaging,owing to their lightweight,high-integration,and exceptional-flexibility capabilities.Traditional design methods neglect the coupling effect between adjacent meta-atoms,thus harming the practical performance of meta-devices.The existing physical/data-driven optimization algorithms can solve the above problems,but bring significant time costs or require a large number of data-sets.Here,we propose a physics-data-driven method employing an“intelligent optimizer”that enables us to adaptively modify the sizes of the meta-atom according to the sizes of its surrounding ones.The implementation of such a scheme effectively mitigates the undesired impact of local lattice coupling,and the proposed network model works well on thousands of data-sets with a validation loss of 3×10^(−3).Based on the“intelligent optimizer”,a 1-cm-diameter metalens is designed within 3 hours,and the experimental results show that the 1-mm-diameter metalens has a relative focusing efficiency of 93.4%(compared to the ideal focusing efficiency)and a Strehl ratio of 0.94.Compared to previous inverse design method,our method significantly boosts designing efficiency with five orders of magnitude reduction in time.More generally,it may set a new paradigm for devising large-aperture meta-devices. | Yingli Ha Yu Luo Mingbo Pu Fei Zhang Qiong He Jinjin Jin Mingfeng Xu Yinghui Guo Xiaogang Li Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo | 2023 | Opto-Electronic Advances2023,6,11: | 1 |

| 12 | Segregation of Re at theγ/γ'boundary of Ni-based single crystal superalloys revealed by first-principles calculations based Monte-Carlo simulations显示文摘Nickel-based single crystal superalloys have been widely used in aero-engines and gas turbine engines.To improve the creep resistance,rhenium is often added to the alloys.However,it is not yet fully under-stood how the added Re elements distribute in the alloys and how the microstructure evolves with the addition of Re.Here,we performed extensive first-principles calculations based Monte-Carlo simulated annealing of Ni-Al-Re ternary alloys with different Re concentrations ranging from 0.5 at.%to 6.0 at.%.The results demonstrate that with the decreasing temperature,most of Re atoms stay in theγphase,while a few of Re atoms stay in theγ'phase and tend to occupy the Al positions.At low temperatures,the Re atoms segregate at theγ/γ'boundary,in good agreement with experiment.We find that the disorder-order transition temperature of the Ni-Al-Re ternary alloys increases with the Re concentration due to the Re-enhanced Al-Al ordering tendency.In addition,we observe that at low temperatures the Re segregation at theγ/γ'boundary promotes the formation of Ni 4 Re-or Ni 8 Re-like local structures as the Re concentration is over 2 at.%.The formation of a large amount of these local structures consumes the Re atoms in solid solutions,and thus from the solid-solution strengthening point of view,this would have a negative influence on the creep resistance of the superalloys.This work provides important atomistic insights on the Re distribution and its effects on the stability of superalloys. | Heyu Zhu Jiantao Wang Lei Wang Yongpeng Shi Mingfeng Liu Jiangxu Li Yun Chen Yingche Ma Peitao Liu Xing-Qiu Chen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,12: | 0 |
