| 3 | The Effect of Heating Direction on Flow Boiling Heat Transfer of R134a in Microchannels显示文摘This paper presents effects of heating directions on heat transfer performance of R134 a flow boiling in micro-channel heat sink. The heat sink has 30 parallel rectangular channels with cross-sectional dimensions of 500mm width 500mm depth and 30 mm length. The experimental operation condition ranges of the heat flux and the mass flux were 13.48 to 82.25 W/cm^2 and 373.3 to 1244.4 kg/m^2 s respectively. The vapor quality ranged from 0.07 to 0.93. The heat transfer coefficients of top heating and bottom heating both were up to 25 k W/m^2 K. Two dominate transfer mechanisms of nucleate boiling and convection boiling were observed according to boiling curves. The experimental results indicated that the heat transfer coefficient of bottom heating was 13.9% higher than top heating in low heat flux, while in high heat flux, the heat transfer coefficient of bottom heating was 9.9%.higher than the top heating, because bubbles were harder to divorce the heating wall. | 5 | Case study on stratospheric and mesospheric concentric gravity waves generated by deep convection显示文摘Concentric gravity waves(CGWs)in the middle and upper atmosphere show wave-coupling processes between the lower atmosphere and the middle and upper atmosphere.In this research,we analyzed a case of CGWs detected simultaneously by the AIRS(Atmospheric Infrared Sounder)and the VIIRS/DNB(Day/Night Band of the Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite)in the stratosphere and mesosphere.Results showed that gravity waves(GWs)were generated by the collocated Hurricane Bejisa on the island of Mauritius.The AIRS data showed arc-like phase fronts of GWs with horizontal wavelengths of 190 and 150 km at 21:08 coordinated universal time(UTC)on 1 January 2014 and at 10:00 UTC on 2 January 2014,whereas the DNB observed arced GWs with horizontal wavelengths of 60 and 150 km in the same geographic regions at 22:24 UTC.The characteristics of CGW parameters in the stratosphere(~40 km)and the mesosphere(~87 km),such as the vertical wavelength,intrinsic frequency,and intrinsic horizontal phase speed,were first derived together with the background winds from ERA5 reanalysis data and Horizontal Wind Model data through the dispersion relationship of GWs and the wind-filtering theory. | GuoChun Shi Xiong Hu ZhiGang Yao WenJie Guo MingChen Sun XiaoYan Gong | 2021 | Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Optimizing the Aspect Ratio of Cephalexin in Reactive Crystallization by Controlling Supersaturation and Seeding Policy显示文摘Batch crystallization in acidic aqueous solution of cephalexin was conducted by reactive crystallization with or without seeding. Supersaturation was generated by mixing ammonia and acidic aqueous solution of cephalexin and controlled by solution feeding rate and seeding conditions. UV and Morphologi G3 were used to measure supersaturation and aspect ratio. Experimental results demonstrated that burst nucleation occurred and the products were needle-like at high supersaturation;meanwhile, the products were plate-like and had high aspect ratio at low supersaturation. Analysis of the measured supersaturation profi les and corresponding aspect ratio explained the mechanisms governing the aspect ratio. | 7 | A Sub-100 mg Electromagnetically Driven Insect-inspired Flapping-wing Micro Robot Capable of Liftoff and Control Torques Modulation显示文摘Inspired by the unique,agile and efficient flapping flight of insects,we present a novel sub-100 mg,electromagnetically driven,tailless,flapping-wing micro robot.This robot utilizes two optimized electromagnetic actuators placed back to back to drive two wings separately,then kinematics of each wing can be independently controlled,which gives the robot the ability to generate all three control torques of pitch,roll and yaw for steering.To quantify the performance of the robot,a simplified aerodynamic model is used to estimate the generated lift and torques,and two customized test platforms for lift and torque measurement are built for this robot.The mean lift generated by the robot is measured to be proportional to the square of the input voltage amplitude.The three control torques are measured to be respectively proportional to three decoupled parameters of the control voltages,therefore the modulation of three control torques for the robot is independent,which is helpful for the further controlled flight.All these measured results fit well with the calculated results of the aerodynamic model.Furthermore,with a total weight of 96 mg and a wingspan of 3.5 cm,this robot can generate sufficient lift to take off. | Chenyang Wang Weiping Zhang Yang Zou Ran Meng Jiaxin Zhao Mingchen Wei | 2020 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,6: | 2 |
| 8 | A potent PGK1 antagonist reveals PGK1 regulates the production of IL-1βand IL-6显示文摘Glycolytic metabolism enzymes have been implicated in the immunometabolism field through changes in metabolic status. PGK1 is a catalytic enzyme in the glycolytic pathway. Here, we set up a high-throughput screen platform to identify PGK1 inhibitors. DC-PGKI is an ATPcompetitive inhibitor of PGK1 with an affinity of Kd= 99.08 nmol/L. DC-PGKI stabilizes PGK1in vitro and in vivo, and suppresses both glycolytic activity and the kinase function of PGK1. In addition,DC-PGKI unveils that PGK1 regulates production of IL-1β and IL-6 in LPS-stimulated macrophages.Mechanistically, inhibition of PGK1 with DC-PGKI results in NRF2(nuclear factor-erythroid factor 2-related factor 2, NFE2L2) accumulation, then NRF2 translocates to the nucleus and binds to the proximity region of Il-1β and Il-6 genes, and inhibits LPS-induced expression of these genes. DC-PGKI ameliorates colitis in the dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis mouse model. | 9 | Male genital schwannoma, review of 5 cases显示文摘Aim: To study the clinical features of male genital schwannoma. Methods: Five male patients with genital schwannoma admitted from 1991 to 2000 were reviewed. The lesions were located in the prostate, spermatic cord,testis or penis. Tumors were simply resected in 3 patients and radically eradicated in 2. Results: The average age of the cohort was 37 years. The most common sign at presentation was a palpable genital mass accidentally discovered by the patient or detected by the physician during a physical check. Diagnosis was made through postoperative pathological examination. Follow-up ranged from 2 years to 6 years (mean 4.5 years). Four cases were cured by simple excision and 1 patient with malignant testis schwannoma died of recurrence 1 year after surgery. Conclusion:Owing to the lack of characteristic clinical manifestation, the final diagnosis relys on postoperative pathological examination. S-100 and vimentin are useful markers for the diagnosis of these tumors. | 11 | Cost-effectiveness analysis on COVID-19 surveillance strategy of large-scale sports competition显示文摘Background:Nucleic acid test(NAT)could effectively control the spread of COVID-19 caused by large-scale sports competitions.However,quantitative analysis on the appropriate frequency of NAT is scarce,and the cost-effectiveness and necessity of high-frequency NAT remain to be fully explored and validated.This study aims to optimize the COVID-19 surveillance strategies through cost-effectiveness analysis for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the upcoming Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.Methods:A total of 18 scenarios were designed regarding the NAT frequency,symptom monitoring,and strengthening close-contact control.An agent-based stochastic dynamic model was used to compare the cost-effectiveness of different NAT scenarios and optimize the surveillance strategies.The dynamics of the proposed model included the arrival and departure of agents,transmission of the disease according to Poisson processes,and quarantine of agents based on regular NATs and symptom onset.Accumulative infections,cost,and incremental cost-effectiveness ratio(ICER)were simulated in the frame of the model.ICER was used to compare the cost-effectiveness of different scenarios.Univariate sensitivity analysis was performed to test the robustness of the results.Results:In Scenario 16,where the competition-related personnel(CRP)received NAT daily and national sports delegation(NSD)with quarantined infections accepted an additional NAT daily,accumulative infection was 320.90(90 initial infections),the total cost was(United States Dollar)USD 8920000,and the cost of detecting out each infection was USD 27800.Scenario 16 would reduce the total cost by USD 22570000(avoid 569.61 infections),USD 1420000(avoid 47.2 infections)compared with Scenario 10(weekly NAT,strengthened close contact control)and Scenario 7(daily NAT,no strengthened close contact control),respectively.Sensitivity analysis showed that the result was most sensitive to the change in basic reproductive number.Conclusions:High-frequency NATs such as bidaily,daily,and twice a day were cost-effective.NAT daily for CRP with strengthening close-contact control could be prioritized in defense against COVID-19 at large-scale sports competitions.This study could assist policymakers by assessing the cost-effectiveness of NAT scenarios and provide the host country with an optimal COVID-19 surveillance strategy. | Xuechun Wang Yiru Cai Bo Zhang Xiangyu Zhang Lianhao Wang Xiangyu Yan Mingchen Zhao Yuan Zhang Zhongwei Jia | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,2: | 2 |

| 19 | Analysis of inversion error characteristics of stellar occultation simulation data显示文摘Atmospheric stellar occultation observation technology is an advanced space-based detection technology that can measure the vertical distribution of trace gas composition,temperature,and aerosol content in a planet’s atmosphere.In this study,an inversion algorithm of the onion-peeling method was constructed to invert the transmittance obtained from the forward mask.The method used a three-dimensional ray-tracing simulation to obtain the transmission path of the light in the Earth’s atmosphere.The relevant parameters were then combined in the high-resolution transmission molecular absorption(HITRAN)database,and line-by-line integration was performed to calculate the atmospheric transmittance.The transmittance value was then used as an input to calculate the vertical distribution of oxygen molecules when using the single-wavelength inversion of the onion-peeling method.Finally,the oxygen molecule content was compared with the value attained by the Mass Spectrometer and Incoherent Scatter Radar Extended(MSISE00)atmospheric model to determine the relative error of our model.The maximum error was found to be 0.3%,which is low enough to verify the reliability of our algorithm.Using Global-scale Observations of the Limb and Disk(GOLD)measured data to invert the oxygen number density,we calculated its relative deviation from the published result to further verify the algorithm.The inversion result was affected by factors such as prior data,the absorption spectral line type,the ellipticity of the Earth,and the accuracy of the orbit.Analysis of these error-influencing factors showed that the seasons and the Earth’s ellipticity affected the accuracy of the model only 0.001%and could therefore be ignored.However,latitude and solar activity had a greater impact on accuracy,on the order of 0.1%.The absorption line type affected the accuracy of the model by as much as 1%.All three of these factors therefore need to be considered during the inversion process. | MingChen Sun QingLin Zhu Xiang Dong JiaJi Wu | 2022 | Earth and Planetary Physics2022,6,1: | 1 |
