| 1 | Prevalence of minimal hepatic encephalopathy and quality of life evaluations in hospitalized cirrhotic patients in China显示文摘AIM:To investigate the prevalence of minimal hepatic encephalopathy(MHE)and to assess corresponding health-related quality of life(HRQoL)in hospitalized cirrhotic patients in China.METHODS:This multi-center cross-sectional study included 16 teaching hospitals,which were members of 'Hepatobiliary Cooperation Group,Society of Gastroenterology,Chinese Medical Association',from different areas of China carried out between June and October in 2011.All the eligible hospitalized cirrhotic patients(n = 538)were required to complete triplicate number connection tests combined with one digit symbol test for diagnosing MHE.Patients' clinical examination data were complemented by a modified questionnaire assessing HRQoL.Written informed consent was obtained from each patient.RESULTS:Male was predominant(68.6%)in 519 patients who met the criteria of the study,with a mean age of 49.17 ± 11.02 years.The most common cause of liver cirrhosis was chronic hepatitis B(55.9%).The prevalence of MHE was 39.9% and varied by ChildPugh-Classification score(CPC-A:24.8%,CPC-B:39.4% and CPC-C:56.1%,P < 0.01).MHE(P < 0.01)and higher CPC scores(P < 0.01)were associated with a high HRQoL scores(reflecting poorer quality of life).The prevalence of MHE was proportionate to CPC(P = 0.01)and high quality of life scores(P = 0.01).CONCLUSION:Hospitalized cirrhotic patients have a high prevalence of MHE that is proportionate to the degree of liver function and HRQoL impairment. | Ji-Yao Wang Ning-Ping Zhang Bao-Rong Chi Yu-Qing Mi Li-Na Meng Ying-Di Liu Jiang-Bin Wang Hai-Xing Jiang Jin-Hui Yang Yun Xu Xiao Li Jian-Ming Xu Guo Zhang Xin-Min Zhou Yu-Zheng Zhuge De-An Tian Jin Ye Yu-Lan Liu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013，19，30： | 64 |

| 3 | Oral health status in Sichuan Province: findings from the oral health survey of Sichuan, 2015–2016显示文摘To investigate oral health status in the residents of Sichuan Province, southwest China, a cross-sectional study was performed using the latest Oral Health Survey Basic Methods recommended by the World Health Organization. A multistage stratified random cluster-sampling method was used to enroll participants from the following three groups: children aged 3–5 years,adolescents aged 12 years, and people aged 65–74 years. In these three groups, the mean numbers of teeth that were affected by caries were 3.28, 0.86 and 5.13, respectively, resulting in a prevalence of 63.47%, 37.20% and 83.20%, respectively.Relative to the high rate of decayed teeth, the prevalence of fillings was very low in all age groups(0.97%, 7.24% and 5.43%,respectively). In the 12-year-old adolescent group, only 3.61% had good pit and fissure sealing. In addition, the rate of dental fluorosis was 24.80%, and the Community Fluorosis Index value was 0.39. In the elder group, the community periodontal index was2.92. The prevalence in the elderly of having lost at least one tooth was 75.54%. Additionally, 4.44% of these participants were edentulous. The incidence of dental prosthesis was 51.75%, the proportion with a removable partial denture, a fixed denture, full dentures, dental implants and an informal fixed bridge was 21.59%, 11.45%, 4.64%, 0 and 16.67%, respectively. In this study,8.2% of the elderly participants were affected by different types of oral mucosal lesions. Among such lesions, recurrent aphthous ulcers were most prevalent(2.69%) and oral lichen planuses were second(1.6%). The conclusion presented in this survey is that oral diseases, especially dental caries and periodontal disease, are frequent and common in Sichuan province, China. | 10 | Boron delivery agents for neutron capture therapy of cancer显示文摘Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT)is a binary radiotherapeutic modality based on the nuclear capture and fission reactions that occur when the stable isotope,boron-10,is irradiated with neutrons to produce high energy alpha particles.This review will focus on tumor-targeting boron delivery agents that are an essential component of this binary system.Two low molecular weight boron-containing drugs currently are being used clinically,boronopheny-lalanine(BPA)and sodium borocaptate(BSH).Although they are far from being ideal,their therapeutic efficacy has been demonstrated in patients with high grade gliomas,recurrent tumors of the head and neck region,and a much smaller number with cutaneous and extra-cutaneous melanomas.Because of their limitations,great effort has been expended over the past 40 years to develop new boron delivery agents that have more favorable biodistribution and uptake for clinical use.These include boron-containing porphyrins,amino acids,polyamines,nucleosides,peptides,monoclonal antibodies,liposomes,nanoparticles of various types,boron cluster compounds and co-polymers.Cur-rently,however,none of these have reached the stage where there is enough convincing data to warrant clinical biodistribution studies.Therefore,at present the best way to further improve the clinical efficacy of BNCT would be to optimize the dosing paradigms and delivery of BPA and BSH,either alone or in combination,with the hope that future research will identify new and better boron delivery agents for clinical use. | Rolf F.Barth Peng Mi Weilian Yang | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018，38，1： | 13 |
| 11 | ACEI attenuates the progression of CCl_4-induced rat hepatic fibrogenesis by inhibiting TGF-β1, PDGF-BB, NF-κB and MMP-2,9显示文摘AIM: Angiotensin Ⅱ has pro-fibrotic function in the liver.Blockade of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system (RAAS) attenuates hepatic fibrosis. The aim of the present study was to determine the mechanism of angiotensinconverting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) on the progression of rat hepatic fibrosis.METHODS: Forty male Wistar rats were divided into three groups. Model group (Mo): The rats were injected subcutaneously with 40% of CCl4 0.25 mL/100 g. Perindopril group (Pe): The rats were injected subcutaneously with administrated. Control group (Nc): the rats were treated with olive oil only. After 4 and 6 wk, the rats were killed.The liver sections were stained with Masson. The protein expressions of AT1R, TGF-β1 and PDGF-BB were examined by Western blot. Nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) DNA binding activity was examined by EMSA (Electrophoretic gel mobility shift assay). Matrix metalloproteinase-2,9(MMP-2,9) activity was assessed by zymography. Serum laminin (LN) and hyaluronic acid (HA) were measured using radioimmunoassays.RESULTS: Using Western blot, we clearly provided direct evidence for the expression of AT1R in liver. The expression was up-regulated when fibrogenesis occurred. Perindopril treatment significantly reduced mean fibrosis score,protein levels of AT1R, TGF-β1 and PDGF-BB, serum levels of HA and LN, and the activity of MMP-2,9. | 14 | Effect of moxa-burning heat stimulating Liangmen(ST 21) and Zusanli(ST 36) on proliferation and apoptosis signaling proteins in rats with stress-induced gastric ulcer显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of moxa-burning heat stimulating acupoints of Liangmen(ST 21)and Zusanli(ST 36) on the proliferation and apoptosis signaling proteins in rats with stress-induced gastric ulcer.METHODS: Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups: negative control(NC), ulcer control(UC), acupoints of stomach meridian(ASM), and acupoints control(AC). The acute gastric ulcer model was established by bound and water immersion.Rats in NC and UC groups didn't receive any moxa-burning heat stimulating treatment, while rats in ASM and AC groups were treated with buringmoxa heat stimulating the acupoints of Liangmen(ST 21) and Zusanli(ST 36) and their controlled points, respectively. Rats in all groups were sacrificed after 12 consecutive days treatment. | 17 | Role of the nucleus tractus solitarii in the protection of pre-moxibustion on gastric mucosal lesions显示文摘Previous studies have shown that somatic sensation by acupuncture and visceral nociceptive stimulation can converge in the nucleus tractus solitarii where neurons integrate signals impacting on the function of organs. To explore the role of the nucleus tractus solitarii in the protective mechanism of pre-moxibustion on gastric mucosa, nucleus tractus solitarii were damaged in rats and pre-moxibustion treatment at the Zusanli(ST36) point followed. The gastric mucosa was then damaged by the anhydrous ethanol lavage method. Morphological observations, enzyme linked immunosorbent assays, and western immunoblot analyses showed that gastric mucosa surface lesion and the infiltration of inflammatory cells were significantly ameliorated after pre-moxibustion treatment. Furthermore, the gastric mucosal damage index and somatostatin level were reduced, and epidermal growth factor content in the gastric mucosa and heat-shock protein-70 expression were increased. These results were reversed by damage to the nucleus tractus solitarii. These findings suggest that moxibustion pretreatment at the Zusanli point is protective against acute gastric mucosa injury, and nucleus tractus solitarii damage inhibits these responses. Although vacuolar compartmentalization is known to play an important role in heavy metal detoxification and tolerance, direct evidence of arsenic compartmentalization in this hyperaccumulator was lacking. Here we report the subcellular localization of As in the callus of P. vittata. The callus induced from gametophytes of P. vittata exposed to 0.2 mmol/L arsenate for 20 days were examined by directly isolating cell walls, protoplasts and vacuoles, and determining arsenic concentrations. Of the total As in the callus, about 94% was in the protoplast, and of that, 91% was present in the vacuoles, indicating that vacuoles are a major storage site for As in P. vittata. | 20 | On-orbit Geometric Calibration of Linear Push-broom Optical Satellite Based on Sparse GCPs显示文摘The paper presents a geometric calibration method based on the sparse ground control points (GCPs), aiming to the linear push-broom optical satellite. This method can achieve the optimal estimate of internal and external parameters with two overlapped image pair along the charge-coupled device (CCD), and sparse GCPs in the image region, further get rid of the dependence on the expensive calibration site data. With the calibrated parameters, the line of sight (LOS) of all CCD detectors can be recovered. This paper firstly establishes the rigorous imaging model of linear push-broom optical satellite based on its imaging mechanism. And then the calibration model is constructed by improving the internal sensor model with a viewing-angle model after an analysis on systematic errors existing in the imaging model is performed. A step-wise solution is applied aiming to the optimal estimate of external and internal parameters.
