| 2 | Fear of missing out: A brief overview of origin, theoretical underpinnings and relationship with mental health显示文摘Fear of missing out(FoMO)is a unique term introduced in 2004 to describe a phenomenon observed on social networking sites.FoMO includes two processes;firstly,perception of missing out,followed up with a compulsive behavior to maintain these social connections.We are interested in understanding the complex construct of FoMO and its relations to the need to belong and form stable interpersonal relationships.It is associated with a range of negative life experiences and feelings,due to it being considered a problematic attachment to social media.We have provided a general review of the literature and have summarized the findings in relation to mental health,social functioning,sleep,academic performance and productivity,neuro-developmental disorders,and physical well-being.We have also discussed the treatment options available for FoMo based on cognitive behavior therapy.It imperative that new findings on FoMO are communicated to the clinical community as it has diagnostic implications and could be a confounding variable in those who do not respond to treatment as usual. | Mayank Gupta Aditya Sharma | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021，9，19： | 4 |

| 5 | Visibility improvement and mass segmentation of mammogram images using quantile separated histogram equalisation with local contrast enhancement显示文摘In this work, the authors develop a working software-based approach named ‘linearly quantile separated histogram equalisation-grey relational analysis’ for mammogram image (MI). This approach improves overall contrast (local and global) of given MI and segments breast-region with a specific end goal to acquire better visual elucidation, examination, and grouping of mammogram masses to help radiologists in settling on more precise choices. The fundamental commitment of this work is to demonstrate that results of good quality of breast-region segmentation can be accomplished from basic breast-region segmentation if the input image has good contrast and a better interpretation of hidden details. They have evaluated the proposed strategy for MIAS-MIs. | 6 | Free tubercular perforation of the ileum显示文摘BACKGROUND:Peritonitis secondary to small bowel perforation is a common surgical emergency seen across the globe.METHODS:A young male patient presented with ileal perforation that was repaired primarily.He recovered uneventfully after the operation.RESULTS:Histopathology of the margins of the perforation revealed tuberculosis.A search for evidence of a primary focus of tuberculosis was unsuccessful.The patient was started on antitubercular therapy and he was followed up with good results.CONCLUSION:This present case underscores the importance of biopsy specimens taken from the margins of patients with ileal perforation to avoid the misdiagnosis of such condition. | Sanjay Gupta Mayank Jayant Robin Kaushik | 2013 | World Journal of Emergency Medicine2013，4，3： | 0 |
