| 1 | TM6SF2 E167K variant predicts severe liver fibrosis for human immunodeficiency/hepatitis C virus co-infected patients, and severe steatosis only for a non-3 hepatitis C virus genotype显示文摘AIM To evaluate the impact of the Glu167Lys(E167K) transmembrane 6 superfamily member 2(TM6SF2) variant on the biochemical and morphologic expression of liver lesions in human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)/hepatitis C virus(HCV) co-infected patients.METHODS The study comprised 167 consecutive patients with HIV/HCV coinfection and biopsy-proven chronic hepatitis. A pathologist graded liver fibrosis and necroinflammation using the Ishak scoring system, and steatosis using Kleiner's scoring system. Patients were genotyped for TM6SF2 E167K(rs58542926) by real-time Polymerase chain reaction. The 167 patients, 35 therapy-naive and 132 receiving ART, were prevalently males(73.6%), the median age was 40.7 years and the immunological condition good(median CD4+ cells/mm3 = 505.5).RESULTS The 17 patients with the TM6SF2 E167 K variant, compared with the 150 with TM6SF2-E/E, showed higher AST(P = 0.02) and alanine aminotransferase(P = 0.02) and higher fibrosis score(3.1 ± 2.0 vs 2.3 ± 1.5, P = 0.05). In a multivariate analysis, TM6SF2 E167 K was independently associated with severe fibrosis. The same analysis showed that HCV-genotype 3, present in 42.2% of patients was an independent predictor of severe steatosis. The association of TM6SF2 E167 K with severe steatosis, absent for the whole group of 167 patients, was re-evaluated separately for HCVgenotype 3 and non-3 patients: No factor was independently associated with severe steatosis in the HCV-genotype-3 subgroup, whereas an independent association was observed between severe steatosis and TM6SF2 E167 K in non-3 HCV genotypes. | 6 | 自体骨与脱蛋白牛骨基质在严重上颌骨萎缩行同期上颌窦侧壁开窗提升术中的应用:随机对照试验显示文摘目的:在随机对照优效性试验中比较100%脱蛋白牛骨基质(deproteinised bovine bone matrix.DBBM)移植(试验组)和100%自体骨(autogenous bone.AB)移植(平行对照组)的差异。材料与方法:对上颔实底剩余牙槽骨高度在1~3mm的患者进行上颌窦提升术,随机分为两组.分别植入DBBM和AB,并且同期植入种植体。随机化是由计算机分配并用信封密封,影像学检查人员对于分组不知情。术后8个月安装愈合基台并且在术后9个月安装临时修复体。观察的结果变量有种植体失败、修复体失败、并发症、椅旁时间、术后疼痛和负重6个月后的放射线评估骨量变化。结果:共40名患者随机分为两组:DBBM组20名(32颗种植体).AB组20名(27颗种植体)。AB组1名患者失访。DBBM组有2颗种植体失败.而AB组无种植体失败(P=0.4872)。所有计划安装的修复体都顺利实施。DBBM组有1例出现并发症.AB组有2例(P=0.6050)。DBBM组的椅旁时间更短.能缩短大约27.3min(P=0.0428)。采用视觉模拟评分法(VAS)测量术后6d的疼痛差异.发现DBBM组比AB组有0.2的差异.疼痛更轻(P=0.6838)。垂直骨量的差异为0.0mm(95%CI-1.1,1.1;P=0.9703);边缘骨吸收的差异在AB组更明显.为0.3mm(95%Cl-03,0.9:P=0.3220)。结论:在上颌寞提升同期行种植体植入时比较DBBM和AB移植的差异.发现除了椅旁时间外其余均无差异。 | Mauro Merli Marco Moscatelli Giorgia Mariotti Roberto Rotundo Michele Nieri 刘长营 李钧 | 2015 | 中国口腔医学继续教育杂志2015,0,6: | 1 |
| 7 | Multiple aspects of the maternal reproductive investmentin a polytocous species:What do mothers really control?显示文摘One of the factors facilitating the expansion and proliferation of wild boar Sus scrofa is the plasticity of its reproductive biology.Nevertheless,the real influence of maternal and environmental factors on number and sex of the offspring is stll controversial.While the litter size was shown to be related with the maternal condition,the strength of this relation remains to be understood,together with the possible role played by environmental conditions.Analogously,it is unclear whether wild boar females can adjust their offspring sex.We investigated multiple aspects of wild boar maternal investment by means of a 10-year dataset of female reproductive traits and a set of biologically meaningful environmental variables.The maternal condition slightly affected the litter size but not the offspring sex,and environment did not affect the litter size or the offspring sex.Moreover,mothers did not cope with the higher costs entailed by producing sons by placing them in the most advantageous intrauterine position,nor by allocating less resources on daughters.Our set of results showed that the female reproductive investment is quite rigid in comparison with other aspects of wild boar reproductive biology.Wild boar females seem to adopt a typical rstrategy,producing constantly large litters and allocating resources on both sexes regardless of internal and external conditions.Such strategy may be adaptive to cope with environmental unpredictability and an intense human harvest,contributing to explain the extreme success of wild boar within human-dominated landscapes. | Rudy Brogi Roberta Chirichella Enrico Merli Marco Apollonio | 2023 | Current Zoology2023,69,2: | 0 |
| 8 | It is time to mate: population-level plasticity of wild boar reproductive timing and synchrony in a changing environment显示文摘On a population level,individual plasticity in reproductive phenology can provoke either anticipations or delays in the average reproductive timing in response to environmental changes.However,a rigid reliance on photoperiodism can constraint such plastic responses in populations inhabiting temperate latitudes.The regulation of breeding season length may represent a further tool for populations facing changing environments.Nonetheless,this skill was reported only for equatorial,nonphotoperiodic populations.Our goal was to evaluate whether species living in temperate regions and relying on photoperiodism to trigger their reproduction may also be able to regulate breeding season length.During 10 years,we collected 2,500 female reproductive traits of a mammal model species(wild boar Sus scrofa)and applied a novel analytical approach to reproductive patterns in order to observe population-level variations of reproductive timing and synchrony under different weather and resources availability conditions.Under favorable conditions,breeding seasons were anticipated and population synchrony increased(i.e.,shorter breeding seasons).Conversely,poor conditions induced delayed and less synchronous(i.e.,longer)breeding seasons.The potential to regulate breeding season length depending on environmental conditions may entail a high resilience of the population reproductive patterns against environmental changes,as highlighted by the fact that almost all mature females were reproductive every year. | Rudy Brogi Enrico Merli Stefano Grignolio Roberta Chirichella Elisa Bottero Marco Apollonio | 2022 | Current Zoology2022,68,4: | 0 |
