| 1 | Effect of cholecystokinin on cytokines during endotoxic shock in rats显示文摘AIM To study the effect of cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK-8) on systemic hypotension and cytokine production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endotoxic shock (ES) rats.``METHODS The changes of blood pressure were observed using physiological record instrument in four groups of rats: LPS (8 mg. kg-1, iv) induced ES; CCK-8 (40 μg.kg- 1 iv) pretreatment 10 min before LPS (8 mg. kg- 1);CCK-8 (40 μg.kg-1, iv) or normal saline (control) groups.Differences in tissue and circulating specificity of the proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-a, IL-l3 and IL-6) were assayed with ELISA kits.``RESULTS CCK-8 reversed LPS-induced decrease of mean artery blood pressure (MABP) in rats. Compared with control, LPS elevated the serum level of IL-6 significantly (3567_-687 ng.L-1 vs 128_+22 ng.L-1, P<0.01), while contents of TNF-a and IL- lβ elevated significantly (277 _± 86ng.L-1 vs not detectable and 43 ± 9 ng.L-1 vs notdetectable, P<0.01) but less extent than IL-6, CCK-8significantly inhibited the LPS-induced increase in serum TNF-a, IL-lβ and IL-6. LPS elevated spleen and lung content of IL-Iβ significantly (5184 ± 85 ng.L-1 vs 1047 ±21 ng.L-1 and 4050 ± 614 ng.L-1 vs not detectable,P<0,01). while levels of TNF-a and IL-6 also rosesignificantly but in less extent than IL-lβ. CCK-8 inhibited the LPS-induced increase of the cytokines in spleen and lung. in the heart, CCK-8 significantly inhibited LPS.induced increase of TNF-a (864 ± 123 ng. | 3 | Common dental diseases in children and malocclusion显示文摘Malocclusion is a worldwide dental problem that influences the affected individuals to varying degrees. Many factors contribute to the anomaly in dentition, including hereditary and environmental aspects. Dental caries, pulpal and periapical lesions, dental trauma, abnormality of development, and oral habits are most common dental diseases in children that strongly relate to malocclusion. Management of oral health in the early childhood stage is carried out in clinic work of pediatric dentistry to minimize the unwanted effect of these diseases on dentition. This article highlights these diseases and their impacts on malocclusion in sequence. | 4 | Anti-intlammatory effect of cholecystokinin ana its signal transduction mechanism in endotoxic shock rat显示文摘AIM: To study the anti-inflammatory effects ofcholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK-8) onlipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endotoxic shock (ES)and further investigate its signal transduction pathwaysinvolving p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)METHODS: Eighty-four rats were divided randomly intofour groups: LPS (8 mg @ kg-1, iv) induced ES; CCK-8(40 μg @ kg-1, iv) pretreatment 10 min before LPS (8mg @ kg-1); CCK-8(40 μ g @ kg-1, iv) or normal saline(control) groups.The inflammatory changes of lung andspleen, phagocytic function of alveolar macrophage,quantification of inflammatory calls in bronchoalveolarlavage (BAL) were investigated in rats by usinghematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining, phagocytosis ofCandida albicans and differential cell counting. Nitricoxide (NO) production in serum, lung and spleen wasmeasured with the Griess reaction. The mechanisminvestigated by Western blot.RESULTS: Inflammatory changes of lung and spleeninduced by LPS were alleviated by CCK-8, the increaseof NO induced by LPS in serum, lung and spleen wassignificantly inhibited and the neutrophil infiltration inBAL was significantly reduced by CCK-8. The numberof neutrophils was (52±10)× 106 cells. L-1 in LPS group,while it decreased to (18±4)×106 cells@ L-1 in CCK-8+LPS (P<0.01). The phagocytic rate of CCK-8 groupincreased to (62.49±9.49) %, compared with controlgroup (48.16±14.20) %, P<0.05. The phagocytosisrate was (85.14±4.64) % in LPS group, which reducedto (59.33±3.14) % in CCK-8+LPS group (P<0.01). | 5 | Cerebral small vessel disease or intracranial large vessel atherosclerosis may carry different risk for future strokes显示文摘Background The effect of cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD)and intracranial arterial stenosis(ICAS)on stroke outcomes remains unclear.Methods Data of 1045 patients with minor stroke or transient ischaemic attack(TIA)were obtained from 45 sites of the Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients with Acute Non-disabling Cerebrovascular Events(CHANCE)trial.We assessed the associations of burdens of CSVD and ICAS with new strokes and bleeding events using multivariate Cox regression models and those with modified Rankin Scale(mRS)scores using ordinal logistic regression models.Results Among the 1045 patients,CSVD was present in 830 cases(79.4%)and ICAS in 460(44.0%).Patients with>1 ICAS segment showed the highest risk of new strokes(HR 2.03,95%CI 1.15 to 3.56,p=0.01).No association between CSVD and the occurrence of new strokes was found.The presence of severe CSVD(common OR(cOR)2.01,95%CI 1.40 to 2.89,p<0.001)and>1 ICAS segment(cOR 2.15,95%CI 1.57 to 2.93,p<0.001)was associated with higher mRS scores.Severe CSVD(HR 10.70,95%CI 1.16 to 99.04,p=0.04),but not ICAS,was associated with a higher risk of bleeding events.Six-point modified CSVD score improved the predictive power for bleeding events and disability.Interpretation CSVD is associated with more disability and bleeding events,and ICAS is associated with an increased risk of stroke and disability in patients with minor stroke and TIA at 3 months.CSVD and ICAS may represent different vascular pathologies and play distinct roles in stroke outcomes. | Huimin Chen Yuesong Pan Lixia Zong Jing Jing Xia Meng Yuyuan Xu Hongyi Yan Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Hao Li S Claiborne Johnston Yongjun Wang Yilong Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 13 |
| 6 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 8 | Clinical relationship between MDR1 gene and gallbladder cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND: The most common mechanisms of mul- tidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer cells is the expression of an energy-dependent exfflux pump. P-glycoprotein (P-gp) encoded by MDR1 gene and multidrug associated protein (MRP) are well known proteins associated with MDR. In human cancers, the MDR1 gene expression is common in patients with intrinsic and acquired MDR. It is a major therapeutic problem in cancer chemotherapy. Previously we found that the MDR of HCC is related to MRP gene ex- pression and initiates the intrinsic MDR. The aim of this study is to study the expression of MDR1 gene encoding P-gp and MDR1 mRNA in primary gallbladder carcinoma, and analyze its clinical significance. METHODS: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) S-P method and in situ polymerase chain reaction (ISPCR) were used to detect the expression of P-gp and MDR1 mRNA in 53 cases of untreated primary gallbladder carcinoma and 12 ca- ses of cholecystitis (archival paraffin-embedded tissues). RESULTS: The positive expression rates of P-gp and MDR1 mRNA in the 53 cases and 12 cases were 60.38%, 71.69% and 25.00%, 33.33%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The positive expression rate of P-gp and MDRlmRNA were 69.44%, 83.33% and 41.18%, 47.06% respectively in tissues in stage of Nevin against Nevin , (P<0.05). In well, moderately differentiated gallbladder carcinoma tissues, their expressions were 79.49%, 69.23% against 50.00%, 35.71% in low, undifferentiated tissues (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: MDR to gallbladder carcinoma is closely related to the intrinsic MDR and it provides an important evidence to reverse the MDR by detection of the MDR1gene. | 9 | STUDY ON HARVESTED POPULATION WITH DIFFUSIONAL MIGRATION显示文摘This paper is devoted to the study of the dynamical behavior and harvesting problem of an exploited population with diffusional migration, for which a protective patch is established. We examine the effects of protective patch and harvest on the population resources and conclude that the protective patch is effective for the conservation of population resources and ecological environment, though in some cases the extinction can not be eliminated. The dangerous region, the parameters domains and the typical bifurcation curves of stability of steady states for the considered system are determined. The optimal harvest policy for the considered population is made also. The explicit expressions are obtained for the optimal harvesting effort, the maximum sustainable yield and the corre- sponding population density. | 11 | 变载荷下摩擦磨损在线监测与磨损机理分析显示文摘选用阶梯加载、短时高载及有阻尼简谐激励动载(DHE)等加载方式,研究加载方式对球-盘配副的摩擦磨损的影响.采用测力传感器、在线可视铁谱传感器(OLVF)分别实现摩擦磨损实时监测,并分析盘试样磨损特征.与静载荷相比的结果显示:a.阶梯载荷可以减小磨合期的局部高磨损峰值;b.短时高载时,摩擦系数摩擦系数μ及百分覆盖面积比IIPCA结果显示球-盘配副有一定的承载能力,但加载时间超过60s后,磨损显著增加;c.在DHE载荷下,容易造成μ陡升.磨痕形貌分析表明:过载条件下,恒载和阶梯载荷造成的磨损以表面材料塑性流动为主,DHE载荷易造成表面疲劳;因此,球-盘配副能够承受一定的短时高载荷,阶梯载荷有利于改善配副的摩擦学性能,而DHE载荷对配副的损伤最大. | 袁伟 董光能 Chin K S Hua Meng | 2016 | 华中科技大学学报(自然科学版)2016,44,2: | 2 |
