| 1 | Multiplication and division of the orbital angular momentum of light with diffractive transformation optics显示文摘We present a method to efficiently multiply or divide the orbital angular momentum(OAM)of light beams using a sequence of two optical elements.The key element is represented by an optical transformation mapping the azimuthal phase gradient of the input OAM beam onto a circular sector.By combining multiple circular-sector transformations into a single optical element,it is possible to multiply the value of the input OAM state by splitting and mapping the phase onto complementary circular sectors.Conversely,by combining multiple inverse transformations,the division of the initial OAM value is achievable by mapping distinct complementary circular sectors of the input beam into an equal number of circular phase gradients.Optical elements have been fabricated in the form of phase-only diffractive optics with high-resolution electron-beam lithography.Optical tests confirm the capability of the multiplier optics to perform integer multiplication of the input OAM,whereas the designed dividers are demonstrated to correctly split up the input beam into a complementary set of OAM beams.These elements can find applications for the multiplicative generation of higher-order OAM modes,optical information processing based on OAM beam transmission,and optical routing/switching in telecom. | Gianluca Ruffato Michele Massari Filippo Romanato | 2019 | Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1: | 8 |

| 3 | Real-time space object tracklet extraction from telescope survey images with machine learning显示文摘In this study,a novel approach based on the U-Net deep neural network for image segmentation is leveraged for real-time extraction of tracklets from optical acquisitions.As in all machine learning(ML)applications,a series of steps is required for a working pipeline:dataset creation,preprocessing,training,testing,and post-processing to refine the trained network output.Online websites usually lack ready-to-use datasets;thus,an in-house application artificially generates 360 labeled images.Particularly,this software tool produces synthetic night-sky shots of transiting objects over a specified location and the corresponding labels:dual-tone pictures with black backgrounds and white tracklets.Second,both images and labels are downscaled in resolution and normalized to accelerate the training phase.To assess the network performance,a set of both synthetic and real images was inputted.After the preprocessing phase,real images were fine-tuned for vignette reduction and background brightness uniformity.Additionally,they are down-converted to eight bits.Once the network outputs labels,post-processing identifies the centroid right ascension and declination of the object.The average processing time per real image is less than 1.2 s;bright tracklets are easily detected with a mean centroid angular error of 0.25 deg in 75%of test cases with a 2 deg field-of-view telescope.These results prove that an ML-based method can be considered a valid choice when dealing with trail reconstruction,leading to acceptable accuracy for a fast image processing pipeline. | Andrea De Vittori Riccardo Cipollone Pierluigi Di Lizia Mauro Massari | 2022 | Astrodynamics2022,6,2: | 2 |
| 4 | 在结核病高疫情监狱进行入监筛查结核病?里约热内卢监狱的案例显示文摘地点:结核病高疫情的3所里约热内卢州监狱目的:调查里约热内卢州监狱的患病率,确定危险因素,并探寻在这些州监狱的囚犯中筛查结核病的最适当的方法。方法:里约热内卢的3所监狱里的1696名男性囚犯都进行了系统的胸部X线检查。如果囚犯的X线结果显示肺部、胸膜或纵隔有异常,这些犯人就必须接受痰涂片和痰培养检查。医生将根据细菌学结果做出诊断。如果细菌学结果是阴性,将根据实验性治疗的结果得出诊断结果。结果:结核病患病率为2.7%(46/1696)。32/46(69%)的患者有细菌学证据,其中包括19例涂片阳性的患者。接受检查的囚犯中43%的人胸部X线结果有异常。在logistic回归模型中,结核病的相关因素包括文盲(调整OR 2.10,95%CI 1.02-4.34),咳嗽超过3周(调整OR 2.85,95%CI 1.54-5.27),结核病治疗史(调整OR3.61,95%CI 1.76-7.39),生活在里约热内卢郊区(调整OR 4.54,95%CI 1.02-20.07)和生活在里约热内卢城区(调整OR 5.48,95%CI 1.29-23.33)。在对咳嗽超过3周的囚犯直接进行痰涂片检查,仅发现了46例患者中的9例。结论:结果显示在有条件的情况下应在监狱对入监囚犯进行胸部X线筛查。同时,结果证明了在拘所急需改善环境和医疗条件。 | A.Sanchez B.
