| 1 | Effect of sex and rearing system on the quality and mineral content of fiber from raeini cashmere goats显示文摘The aim of this study was to compare the quality characteristics and mineral content of the fiber from male and female cashmere goats raised under different management systems. Male and female Raeini cashmere goats (<1.5 years of age, n = 48) were selected from flocks raised at a government breeding station or raised commercially under either rural or nomadic conditions. The staple length, cashmere fiber diameter, coefficient of variation for fiber diameter, percentage of cashmere in a fleece, percentage of guard hair in a fleece and cashmere tenacity averaged 4.6 ±0.1 cm, 18.0 ±0.1 m, 20.9 ± 0.4%, 66.1 ± 1.5%, 33.8 ± 1.5% and 1.8 ± 0.2 gf/tex, respectively. The sulfur, copper and zinc content of the cashmere averaged 2.8 ± 0.1%, 0.00065 ± 0.00002% and 0.01276 ± 0.00025%, respectively. Rearing method significantly affected staple length, coefficient of variation of fiber diameter, cashmere tenacity and copper content. | 3 | An in vitro evaluation of novel NHA/zircon plasma coating on 316L stainless steel dental implant显示文摘The surface characteristics of an implant that influence the speed and strength of osseointegration include crystal structure and bioactivity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the bioactivity of a novel natural hydroxyapatite/zircon(NHA/zircon) nanobiocomposite coating on 316L stainless steel(SS) dental implants soaking in simulated body fluid. A novel NHA/zircon nanobiocomposite was fabricated with 0(control),5, 10, and 15 wt% of zircon in NHA using ball mill for 1 h. The composite mixture was coated on SS implants using a plasma spray method.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) was used to evaluate surface morphology, and X-ray diffraction(XRD) was used to analyze phase composition and crystallinity(Xc). Further, calcium ion release was measured to evaluate the coated nanobiocomposite samples. The prepared NHA/zircon coating had a nanoscale morphological structure with a mean crystallite size of 30–40 nm in diameter and a bone-like composition,which is similar to that of the biological apatite of a bone. For the prepared NHA powder, high bioactivity was observed owing to the formation of apatite crystals on its surface. | 4 | Diversity of Helicobacter pylori genotypes in Iranian patients with different gastroduodenal disorders显示文摘AIM:To investigate the diversity of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)genotypes and correlations with disease outcomes in an Iranian population with different gastroduodenal disorders.METHODS:Isolates of H.pylori from patients with different gastroduodenal disorders were analyzed after culture and identification by phenotypic and genotypic methods.Genomic DNA was extracted with the QIAamp DNA mini kit(Qiagen,Germany).After DNA extraction,genotyping was done for cagA,vacA(s and m regions),iceA(iceA1,iceA2)and babA with specific primers for each allele using polymerase chain reaction(PCR).All patients’pathologic and clinical data and their relation with known genotypes were analyzed by using SPSS version 19.0 software.2test and Fisher’s exact test were used to assess relationships between categorical variables.The level of statistical significance was set at P<0.05.RESULTS:A total of 71 isolates from 177 patients with different gastroduodenal disorders were obtained.Based on analysis of the cagA gene(positive or negative),vacA s-region(s1or s2),vacA m-region(m1or m2),iceA allelic type(iceA1and iceA2)and babA gene(positive or negative),twenty different genotypic combinations were recognized.The prevalence of cagA,vacA s1,vacA s2,vacA m1,vacA m2,iceA1,iceA2,iceA1+iceA2and babA were 62%,78.9%,19.7%,21.1%,78.9%,15.5%,22.5%,40.8%and 95.8%,respectively.Interestingly,evaluation of PCR results for cagA in 6 patients showed simultaneous existence of cagA variants according to their size diversities that proposed mixed infection in these patients.The most prevalent genotype in cagA-positive isolates was cagA+/vacAs1m2/iceA1+A2/babA+and in cagA-negative isolates was cagA-/vacAs1m2/iceA-/babA+.There were no relationships between the studied genes and histo-pathological findings(H.pylori density,neutrophil activity,lymphoid aggregation in lamina propria and glandular atrophy).The strains which carry cagA,vacAs1/m1,iceA2and babA genes showed significant associations with severe active chronic gastritis(P=0.011,0.025,0.020 and 0.031,respectively).The vacAs1genotype had significant correlation with the presence of the cagA gene(P=0.013).Also,babA genotype showed associations with cagA(P=0.024).In the combined genotypes,only cagA+/vacAs1m1/iceA2/babA+genotype showed correlation with severe active chronic gastritis(P=0.025).CONCLUSION:This genotyping panel can be a useful tool for detection of virulent H.pylori isolates and can provide valuable guidance for prediction of the clinical outcomes. | Farzam Vaziri Shahin Najar Peerayeh Masoud Alebouyeh Tabassom Mirzaei Yoshio Yamaoka Mahsa Molaei Nader Maghsoudi Mohammad Reza Zali | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,34: | 5 |
| 5 | Application of K-means and PCA approaches to estimation of gold grade in Khooni district(central Iran)显示文摘Grade estimation is an important phase of mining projects, and one that is considered a challenge due in part to the structural complexities in mineral ore deposits.To overcome this challenge, various techniques have been used in the past. This paper introduces an approach for estimating Au ore grades within a mining deposit using k-means and principal component analysis(PCA). The Khooni district was selected as the case study. This region is interesting geologically, in part because it is considered an important gold source. The study area is situated approximately 60km northeast of the Anarak city and 270km from Esfahan. Through PCA, we sought to understand the relationship between the elements of gold,arsenic, and antimony. Then, by clustering, the behavior of these elements was investigated. One of the most famous and efficient clustering methods is k-means, based on minimizing the total Euclidean distance from each class center. Using the combined results and characteristics of the cluster centers, the gold grade was determined with a correlation coefficient of 91%. An estimation equation for gold grade was derived based on four parameters: arsenic and antimony content, and length and width of the sampling points. | 6 | Experimental investigation of flow and distortion mitigation by mechanical vortex generators in a coupled serpentine inlet-turbofan engine system显示文摘The performance of compact,aggressive ducts in advanced propulsion systems is limited by the internal flow separation coupled with the formation of secondary counter-rotating vortices that give rise to intensive flow distortions at the duct exit.An experimental investigation was conducted to study the flow field and passive suppression of flow separation and Aerodynamic Interface Plane (AIP) distortion in a serpentine air inlet duct.Tests were performed by a turbofan engine at several Engine Operating Points (EOPs) from 56%(idle) to 100%(max).A large total pressure deficit region arose at the upper part of the AIP,which was associated with the upper surface flow separation.Using the new mechanical S-type vortex generators in two longitudinal positions (VGl and VG2),separation and loss were diminished at the upper part of the duct and AIP.The VG2 arrangement attained the maximum reductions in distortion coefficients which were 73.72%,60.7% and 37.8% in DC(90°),DC(60°) and△P_C/P metrics,respectively.In the next step of the study,some unsteady aspects of the flow field were analyzed inside the duct.The separation onset and reattachment points were determined by the standard deviation of static pressure on the upper surface.The AIP spectral distribution showed that the boundary of low pressure and high pressure recovery regions was dominated by the maximum fluctuations.Furthermore,the PSD diagram of several probes at AIP revealed the vortex shedding frequency and its higher harmonics at separation region.The energy content of distinct unsteady spectral features in the bare configuration was significantly reduced using VGs,which showed the improvement of flow at the duct exit. | Iman MAGHSOUDI Mohammad Ali VAZIRY Mostafa MAHMOODI | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,5: | 2 |

| 20 | Prospectivity modeling of porphyry copper deposits: recognition of efficient mono-and multi-element geochemical signatures in the Varzaghan district, NW Iran显示文摘The Varzaghan district at the northwestern margin of the Urumieh–Dokhtar magmatic arc, is considered a promising area for the exploration of porphyry Cu deposits in Iran. In this study we identified mono-and multi-element geochemical anomalies associated with Cu–Au–Mo–Bi mineralization in the central parts of the Varzaghan district by applying the concentration–area fractal method. After mono-element geochemical investigations, principal component analysis was applied to ten selected elements in order to acquire a multi-element geochemical signature based on the mineralization-related component. Quantitative comparisons of the obtained fractal-based populations were carried out in accordance with known Cu occurrences using Student's t-values. Then,significant mono-and multi-element geochemical layers were separately combined with related geologic and structural layers to generate prospectivity models, using the fuzzy GAMMA approach. For quantitative evaluation of the effectiveness of different geochemical signatures in final prospectivity models, a prediction-area plot was adapted.
