1The Teodorescu Operator in Clifford Analysis显示文摘Euclidean Clifford analysis is a higher dimensional function theory centred around monogenic functions, i.e., null solutions to a first order vector valued rotation in-variant differential operator  called the Dirac operator. More recently, Hermitian Clifford analysis has emerged as a new branch, offering yet a refinement of the Euclidean case; it focuses on the simultaneous null solutions, called Hermitian monogenic functions, to two Hermitian Dirac operators _z and _(zt) which are invariant under the action of the unitary group. In Euclidean Clifford analysis, the Teodorescu operator is the right inverse of the Dirac operator . In this paper, Teodorescu operators for the Hermitian Dirac operators _z and _(zt) are constructed. Moreover, the structure of the Euclidean and Hermitian Teodor-escu operators is revealed by analyzing the more subtle behaviour of their components. Finally, the obtained inversion relations are still refined for the differential operators is-suing from the Euclidean and Hermitian Dirac operators by splitting the Clifford algebra product into its dot and wedge parts. 8Viscoelastic analysis of single-component and composite PEG and alginate hydrogels显示文摘Hydrogels,three-dimensional hydrophilic polymer networks,are appealing candidate materials for studying the cellular microenvironment as their substantial water content helps to better mimic soft tissue.However,hydrogels can lack mechanical stifness,strength,and toughness.Composite hydrogel systems have been shown to improve upon mechanical properties compared to their singlecomponent counterparts.Poly(ethylene glycol)dimethacrylate(PEGDMA)and alginate are polymers that have been used to form hydrogels for biological applications.Singlecomponent and composite PEGDMA and alginate systems were fabricated with a range of total polymer concentrations.Bulk gels were mechanically characterized using spherical indentation testing and a viscoelastic analysis framework.An increase in shear modulus with increasing polymer concentration was demonstrated for all systems.Alginate hydrogels were shown to have a smaller viscoelastic ratio than the PEGDMA gels,indicating more extensive relaxation over time.Composite alginate and PEGDMA hydrogels exhibited a combination of the mechanical properties of the constituents,as well as a qualitative increase in toughness.Additionally,multiple hydrogel systems were produced that had similar shear moduli,but diferent viscoelastic behaviors.Accurate measurement of the mechanical properties of hydrogels is necessary in order to determine what parameters are key in modeling the cellular microenvironment.Jenna M.Shapiro Michelle L.Oyen 2014Acta Mechanica Sinica2014,30,1:0
9Long-term outcomes in patients initially responsive to selective laser trabeculoplasty显示文摘AIM: To determine the long-term effects of selective laser trabeculoplasty(SLT) on intraocular pressure(IOP)and the number of medications used up to 5y following treatment in glaucoma patients receiving maximally tolerated medical therapy(MTMT).·METHODS: The Wills Eye Hospital Glaucoma Research Center retrospectively reviewed the charts of glaucoma patients who underwent SLT after receiving MTMT. Eyes that did not achieve their target pressure within 3mo following SLT were excluded from the study. Changes in mean IOP and number of glaucoma medications used were analyzed at 1, 3, and 5y following SLT.·RESULTS: Seventy-five eyes of 67 patients were included in the study. Fifteen eyes that received SLT failed to achieve their target pressure within 3mo and were excluded from the study. The average follow-up time was 37.4mo(±14.4). Mean IOP was significantly reduced 1y after treatment(P =0.005). It was also reduced3, 5y after treatment without reaching statistical significance(P =0.20 and P =0.072, respectively). There was a significant decrease in mean number of medications used 1, 3, 5y after treatment(P <0.001, P <0.001, and P =0.039, respectively). In the span of 5y, 2eyes(2.7%) underwent repeat SLT, 7 eyes(9.3%) underwent glaucoma surgery and an additional 3 eyes( 4. 0 %)underwent both.·CONCLUSION: SLT significantly reduced the number of glaucoma medications used 5y following treatment in glaucoma patients receiving MTMT.
