Comparative assessment of maximum power point tracking procedures for photovoltaic systems显示文摘The fast growing demands and increasing awareness for the environment, PV systems are being rapidly installed for numerous applications. However, one of the important challenges in utilizing a PV source is the maximum power harnessing using various maximum power point tracking techniques available. With the large number of MPPT techniques, each having some merits and demerits, confusion is always there for their proper selection. Discussion on various proposed procedures for maximum power point tracking of photovoltaic array has been done. Based on different parameters analysis of MPPT techniques is carried out. This assessment will serve as a suitable reference for selection, understanding different ways and means of MPPT. | Mohammed Aslam Husain Abu Tariq Salman Hameed M.Saad Bin Arif Abhinandan Jain | 2017 | Green Energy & Environment2017,2,1: | 2
Biological silicon nanoparticles improve Phaseolus vulgaris L. yield and minimize its contaminant contents on a heavy metals-contaminated saline soil显示文摘The synthesis of biological silicon nano-particles(Bio-Si-NPs)is an eco-friendly and lowcost method. There is no study focusing on the effect of Bio-Si-NPs on the plants grown on saline soil contaminated with heavy metals. In this study,an attempt was made to synthesis Bio-Si-NPs using potassium silica florid substrate, and the identified Aspergillus tubingensis AM11 isolate that separated from distribution systems of the potable water.A twoyear field trial was conducted to compare the protective effects of Bio-Si-NPs(2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L)and potassium silicate(10 mmol/L)as a foliar spray on the antioxidant defense system,physio-biochemical components, and the contaminants contents of Phaseolus vulgaris L.grown on saline soil contaminated with heavy metals. Our findings showed that all treatments of Bio-Si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly improved plant growth and production, chlorophylls, carotenoids, transpiration rate, net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, membrane stability index, relative water content, free proline, total soluble sugars,N,P,K,Ca2+,K+/Na+,and the activities of peroxidase, catalase, ascorbic peroxidase and superoxide oxide dismutase.Application of Bio-Si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly decreased electrolyte leakage,malondialdehyde,H2 O2,O2·-,Na+,Pb,Cd,and Ni in leaves and pods of Phaseolus vulgaris L.compared to control.Bio-Si-NPs were more effective compared to potassium silicate.Application of Bio-Si-NPs at the rate of 5 mmol/L was the recommended treatment to enhance the performance and reduce heavy metals content on plants grown on contaminated saline soils. | Mohamed T.El-Saadony El-Sayed M.Desoky Ahmed M.Saad Rania S.M.Eid Eman Selem Ahmed S.Elrys | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,8: | 2

New Ulva lactuca Algae Based Chitosan Bio-composites for Bioremediation of Cd(II)Ions显示文摘The current article covers the production of chitosan(CS)from shells of shrimp waste and its utilization in the preparation of eco-friendly imprinting and non-imprinting composites with Ulva lactuca algae(Alg). These bio-composites namely(Imp-Alg-25wt%CS)and(NImp-Alg-25wt%CS)were used for removal of Cd(II)ions.Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectra,scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with electron dispersive X-ray(EDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and elemental analysis measurements were performed to characterize these bio-composites sorbents. The highest adsorption of these sorbents towards Cd(II)ions was determined as a function of solutions pH,contact time,Cd(II)ion concentration, beads dose, and temperature. The equilibrium experimental data were treated using various mathematical isotherm and kinetic models to approve the maximum bio-sorption capacities of NImp-Alg-25wt%CS and Imp-Alg-25wt%CS(in mg/g).The results exhibited that Imp-Alg-25wt%CS gave higher removal capacity than NImp-Alg-25wt%CS at the same optimum parameters.Pseudo-2nd order dynamic and Langmuir isotherm models were well described in these biosorption processes.Thermodynamically, the removal behavior of Cd(II)using both bio-composites was spontaneous at room temperature. The reusability of the sorbents,NImp-Alg-25wt%CS and Imp-Alg-25wt%CS,showed three cycles. In addition, comparative study was also conducted for Cd(II)removal onto some reported sorbents. | Eman M.Saad Reda F.Elshaarawy Safaa A.Mahmoud Khalid M.El-Moselhy | 2021 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2021,6,3: | 1
Colorless WDM-PON Using Single Side Band Carrier Suppressed Signals Mitigating Carrier Rayleigh Backscattering显示文摘A new scheme is offered for minimizing carrier Rayleigh backscattering(CRB) in single feeder fiber based wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network(WDM-PON). The proposed scheme is based on single side band carrier suppressed(SSBCS) signal, both at network and receiver sides, used for the first time at optical line terminal(OLT) and optical network unit(ONU) sides. We use dual-drive Mach-zehnder modulator(DD-MZM) for generating SSB-CS signals, which decreases the expense per bit in full transmission. SSB-CS mitigates CRB, both at OLT and ONU sides, because of having no chance of reflections from the carrier. Since no extra dedicated RF or laser source is used at ONU side, we thus achieve cost effective colorless WDM-PON system. Suppressed signals from four channels, each of 10 Gbps, are multiplexed before injecting into the fiber span of 25 km at OLT. At ONU side, half of the downlink power is used for re-modulating the data signal. The simulation results show an errorfree transmission. Moreover, the detailed power budget calculations show that the proposed scheme can be sought out for splitting ratio up to 128. Hence it offers enough system's margin for unseen losses. | Rahat Ullah Bo Liu Qi Zhang Yousaf Khan Amjad Ali Qinghua Tian Feng Tian M.Saad Khan Tabinda Salam Sibghat Ullah Lijia Zhang Xiangjun Xin | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,12: | 0
On a new modified fractional analysis of Nagumo equation显示文摘In this work, a new modified fractional form of the Nagumo equation has been presented and deeply analyzed. Using the Caputo–Fabrizio and Atangana–Baleanu time-fractional derivatives, classical Nagumo model is transformed to a new fractional version. The modified equation has been solved by using the homotopy analysis transform method. The convergence analysis has been also examined with the help of the so-called hh-curves and average residual error. Comparing the obtained approximate solution with the exact solution leaves no doubt believing that the proposed technique is very efficient and converges toward the exact solution very rapidly. | Khaled M.Saad Sinan Deniz Dumitru Baleanu | 2019 | International Journal of Biomathematics2019,12,3: | 0
Oral administration of Moringa oleifera leaf powder relieves oxidative stress, modulates mucosal immune response and cecal microbiota after exposure to heat stress in New Zealand White rabbits显示文摘Background:Heat stress(HS)disrupts the gut barrier allowing the uptake of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and leads to an inflammatory response and changes in gut microbiota composition.Moringa oleifera leaf powder(MOLP)has been proposed to combat HS,yet its alleviate role is currently under investigation. The current study investigated the effects of chronic HS and MOLP supplementation on changes in redox status and immune response of cecal mucosa along with alteration in cecal microbiota. Methods:A total of 21 young New Zealand White(NZW)rabbits(male)about 32 weeks old(mean body weight of 3318±171 g)reared on a commercial pelleted diet were employed;divided into three groups(n=7):control(CON,25°C),heat stress(HS,35°C for 7 h daily),and HS supplemented orally with MOLP(HSM,35°C)at 200 mg/kg body weight per day for 4 weeks. Results:The results demonstrated that MOLP supplementation increased organ index of cecal tissue compared with the HS group(P>0.05).Levels of malonaldehyde(MDA)and activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)as well as lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)were reduced in the cecal mucosa of the HSM group compared with the HS group.MOLP downregulated the contents of cecal mucosa LPS,several inflammatory markers(TNF-α/IL-1α/IL-1β),and myeloperoxidase(MPO)in the HSM group(P<0.05).Secretory immunoglobulin A(SIgA)was increased in the HSM group compared with the HS group(P<0.05).The transcriptome of cecal mucosa showed that MOLP reduced gene expression relative to several immune factors, including IL-10,IFNG,and RLA,whereas both HS and MOLP increased the gene expression of fat digestion and absorption pathway, including APOA1,FABP1,FABP2,MTTP,andLOC100344166,compared to the CON group(P<0.001).At the phylum level, the relative abundance of Proteobacteria was increased by HS,while Actinobacteria was significantly increased by HSM compared to other groups(P<0.05).At genus level,Papillibacter was higher in abundance in HSM groups compared to CON and HS groups(P<0.05).Higher butyrate concentrations were observed in the HSM group than HS and CON groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:In conclusion,HS in growing rabbits resulted in alteration of cecal microbiota at phyla level as well as increased oxidative stress and expression of mucosal inflammatory genes.Whereas, oral MOLP supplementation elevated the relative weight of cecum, affected their immunological and cecal micro-ecosystem function by improving antioxidant status and down-regulating mucosal tissue inflammatory response. | Talat Bilal Yasoob Defu Yu Abdur Rauf Khalid Zhen Zhang Xiaofeng Zhu Heba M.Saad Suqin Hang | 2021 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,4: | 0
Pre-Breeding Genetic Diversity Assessment of Tomato(Solanum lycopersicum L.)Cultivars Based on Molecular,Morphological and Physicochemical Parameters显示文摘Appropriate knowledge of the parental cultivars is a pre-requisite for a successful breeding program. This study characterized fruit yield, quality attributes, and molecular variations of ten tomato cultivars during three consecutive generations under greenhouse conditions.Peto 86,Castle Rock, and Red Star cultivars showed the highest fruit yield(kg/plant),total phenolic compounds(TPC),and sap acidity.Principal component analysis categorized the evaluated fruit yield into three groups based on their quality attributes.A robust positive correlation appeared among traits inside each group.A positive correlation was likewise noticed between the first and the second groups. However,a negative correlation was detected between the first, the second and the third group.Molecular profiling, using seven inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR)primers, produced 60 loci, including 49 polymorphic loci. The molecular analysis also pinpointed the highest genetic similarity(0.92)between P73 and Moneymaker, while the lowest genetic similarity(0.46)was observed between Castle Rock and Moneymaker. The cultivars P73 and Moneymaker showed the lowest genetic distance(2.24),while the highest genetic distance(5.92)was observed between Super Marmand and Peto86,on the one hand, and between Castle Rock and Moneymaker,on the other hand. The chemical analysis of fruit sap indicated the highest levels of TPC,total flavonoids, anthocyanin, ascorbic acid and total soluble solids in Peto 86 and Castle Rock cultivars.Phylogeny analysis of tomato cultivars based on morphological and molecular attributes indicated four distinct clades.Peto 86,Castle Rock, and Red star cultivars can be recommended for the tomato hybridization breeding programs in the future, with other tomato cultivars as potentially high-yielding parents. | Jameel M.Al-Khayri Salha M.Alshamrani Adel A.Rezk Wael F.Shehata Mustafa I.Almaghasla Tarek A.Shalaby Ahmed M.Saad Fatmah A.Safhi Muhammad N.Sattar Arafat A.Abdel Latef Mahmoud Z.Sitohy Abdallah A.Hassanin | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,5: | 0
